The Bitburger is very centrally located around the corner from Opernplatz. The beautiful furnishings immediately make you feel at home. Great food and even better beer.

The place is like a German Traditional Pub ( not sure if it's a think though). It set up like a pub, and has traditional Frankfurt style food and beer. Quite authentic and most patrons are local regulars. The food was great, beer is good as well.

The restaurant has been around for several decades on Hochstrasse, Frankfurt am Main. A location that is always very well attended. In addition to regular guests, there are also many tourists who have visited the opera house within a minute's distance. The dishes offered here are very well made and very digestible. Only one point deducted because it is expensive. However, price and performance match. Great German food, even with dishes that you can't get everywhere. Currywurst for 14.50 is very expensive. Schnitzel, daily meals and counter meals, on the other hand, are ok in terms of price. There is also one of the best tapped and tasting beers in Germany, and perhaps in Europe too. But prices beyond 1 euro per 100 ml for beer are simply too much.

Yesterday my wife and I fortified ourselves a bit before attending a concert at the Alte Oper. But not in the Zum Bitburger restaurant as I wanted as a Bitburger fan, but in a good pizzeria. We first entered the Zum Bitburger restaurant and even managed to get an unoccupied and reserved table for two. After 10 minutes we were able to draw attention to ourselves in the well-filled restaurant. After 5 minutes a service person came and told us that the table had been reserved. She just forgot to put up the corresponding sign. But don't believe this, as one was set up on another table. We were probably resented for not fighting our way to the counter, which was very busy, and asking for a table. Thanks again for nothing.

Fue nuestra última noche de nuestro viaje a Alemania para conmemorar nuestro 50 aniversario de boda. Además, esa noche era el cumpleaños de mi marido. Preferimos lugares jóvenes y animados a restaurantes que son demasiado llenos. Siguiendo la recomendación de algunas personas en el foro Tripadvisor, reservamos este lugar. La comida, estilo pub, era muy buena. Fue un momento muy agradable. La camarera incluso se tomó el tiempo para charlar con nosotros por un rato. Guardaremos muy buenos recuerdos de esta noche.

Yesterday, my wife and I traveled to Frankfurt to attend a concert in the old opera. We wanted to eat something beforehand and ended up in this restaurant purely by chance. What luck - we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and given a table, even though it was very full. We ordered drinks and onion schnitzel with fried potatoes to eat. Afterwards we had the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Everything was served quickly and tasted excellent. We especially remember the loving service from the lady and gentleman that day (unfortunately we don't know their names). We were asked several times whether we were satisfied and whether we still had any wishes. That was really great! Thank you very much and we will be happy to come back to you on our next visit to Frankfurt!

This a great place to taste the real German cuisine, we went with no reservation but the lady was so kind to prepare us a table in few minutes (it was full) the schnitzel is great, green sauce so yummy and the apfelstrudel was not our favorite but any bad. Highly recommend this place

Been there tonight, the waitresses are despicably rude. They look at you like you are bothering them for the most basic request and do not consider any politeness in exchange. The apfelwein was cut with water though we did not ask for it…. Not representative of german service which is much better elsewhere.

After a visit to the opera, a good end with a delicious pilsner

Excellent choice for lunch after raving reviews from the Frankfurt Hilton. They were absolutely correct. Each of our dishes were delicious. Waitress was patient and knowledgeable with us as well. Will be back.

We got two of the different schnitzels, one was with a pepper sauce the other with a green Herb sauce. It was one of better schnitzels we have had while visiting Germany. The service was okay, it felt odd almost like we were an inconvenience the second time we went back. But that may just be the difference in culture I'm not sure.

I recently went to the Bitburger restaurant and absolutely loved it. The ambience is cozy and inviting, ideal for a relaxing evening. Particularly noteworthy is the great service from Pascal Soldo, who took excellent care of us. The schnitzels and traditional Frankfurt cuisine were first class and very tasty. You can also just stop by for a delicious beer, which is really excellent. Overall, a wonderful evening - I can only recommend the Bitburger restaurant! Five stars!

Nicht nur dass wir wieder einmal einen schönen Abend mit perfekter Bedienung hatten, nein das eigentlich Highlight erfolgte am nächsten Tag: Ich hatte nämlich meinen Rucksack mit Laptop in der Bar vergessen (Freitag). Und da die Bar erst am Montagmittag wieder öffnen würde, kam die Besitzerin Gabi meiner Bitte nach und sie machte sich extra meinetwegen noch am Samstag wieder auf in Richtung Bitburger und gab mir den Rucksack zurück! So unglaublich nett! Danke nochmals und mehr denn je werde ich wiederkommen!

I was very excited to finally visit this location to have a beer and order a schnitzel. Even though online it says they accept contactless payment and credit cards, they said cash only. What place in 2024 does cash only? So I left.

An absolute impudence experienced today. Ordered 4 beers. 16 euros. Wanted to pay by card. Answer from the waitress: “Only from 25 euros.” Explanation: “I have to pay the difference privately to the boss.” Next round ordered. Different service. Another 4 beers. Answer: “Card payments only from 30 euros.” I almost lost my faith. Then the lady with the glasses (other waitress) Gabi? When asked about it and referred to the note on the menu: “Card payment from 20 euros.” The rip-off person’s answer: “Yes, in the evening from 30 euros.” So cool! The menu says: “Evenings…from 20 euros.” That’s just shameful. Pure rip-off with absolutely cheap arguments. As a Frankfurt institution, you simply don't need that. Or is it? I'd rather go to Mother Ernst's around the corner soon and recommend this to everyone. So annoying.

Bitburger is a nice place to have a cold beer. It is a popular afterwork place. The service is excellent: friendly and very attentive. The food is a bit hit and miss, sometimes it is fine, other times less good. I tend to go there for the beers.

Delicious schnitzel, but small portions. Plus that day they had no salad left. The toilets were a big negative point. Already on the stairs there the smell of urine was unbelievably bad.

The waiters here last night were fantastic. The older women running the place tonight are straight up not nice people. Really no reason to be so completely rude when I’m just trying to spend my money.

We called in here in the afternoon for drinks and also to book a table for dinner in the evening. The staff were very accommodating and switched some tables around to fit us in - there were 6 of us. Excellent service both visits. The place was very busy in the evening so it was definitely necessary to book. The service was excellent as was the food. Very pleased that we found this place. The atmosphere was brilliant too.

I do speak some German, but all the staff seemed to speak English. Very friendly staff. Tomorrow I’m going to try the schnitzel with green sauce.

This is the best restaurant with German-food in Frankfurt in my opinion. I really enjoy being there. The Käsespätzle is amazing, in the autumn and winter I also like ordering their soups. Warum überall 5 Sterne von mir? Weil alles gestimmt hat. Preis/Leistung ist perfekt. Hier komme ich gerne wieder. So eine feine Feierabendstätte kenne ich sonst nicht.

Wir waren hier am Freitag und sehr zufrieden. Die Qualität der Speisen und die Getränke waren sehr gut. Einziges Manko, aber in Frankfurt am Main nicht unüblich die Toilette befindet sich im Keller, allerdings roch es sehr modrig und es gab nur sehr dünnes Toilettenpapier, was fast nicht existiert hat.

Klasse Bierkneipe, einer der wenigen Läden im Zentrum von Frankfurt die noch zu Bier und Mettbroten stehen und nicht nur Aperol und veganes auf der Karte haben.

Komme regelmäßig zur Mittagszeit. Sehr leckere deutsche Küche. Mit oder ohne Reservierungen (bei mehreren Personen empfehle ich definitiv eine Reservierung) wird man sehr höflich und effektiv bedient. Die Wartezeiten für das Essen während der Mittagspause sind top 👍 Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, sympatisch und man spürt die positive Zusammenarbeit. Die Einrichtung und das Ambiente sind sehr schön aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Musik im Hintergrund ist nicht aufdringlich und harmoniert mit der ganzen Atmosphäre. Definitiv zu empfehlen 😘👌

Going to a locals’ bar as a tourist is always an interesting experience. We arrived in the early evening and it was packed with dozens of people in business clothes, clearly local finance and business professionals. It seemed a little intimidating from the outside because we weren’t dressed as nicely as everyone and felt out of place at first, but we quickly found a place to sit and realized that nobody cared how we looked. The bartenders are clearly pros and worked with practiced efficiency. Beers came fast and cold. We didn’t order food but it was leaving the kitchen in a steady stream to other tables, and all looked good. Go here if you just finished your meetings for the day or if you want to experience a slice of the Frankfurt after-work life.

Schöne Kneipe um mit Kollegen und Freunden noch den Freiabend zu genießen. Das Essen ist gut, für Preise (noch) in Ordnung, vor allem für die Umgebung und der Service macht Spaß. Das Bitburger fließt hier wirklich schnell aus dem Hahn 😜
