Ein schöner Abend im Bolero Gießen! Der Außenbereich ist wirklich toll und die Cocktails sind sehr lecker. Die Kellnerin war absolut freundlich, wirkte aber leider etwas überfordert, da sie ca. 15 Tische gleichzeitig bedienen musste. Trotzdem ein gelungener Besuch, daher verdiente 4 Sterne!

Wir möchten unserer Bedienung Lea ein großes Lob aussprechen. Sie war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hat ihren Job wirklich hervorragend gemacht. So einen herzlichen und engagierten Service haben wir schon lange nicht mehr erlebt. Vielen Dank, Lea. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Leckere Burger gibt es hier. Ich hatte einen Surf und Turf Burger. Sehr lecker. Update vom 11.07.2026: Heute mal lecker Tapas essen gewesen. Wir haben uns für Tapas BOLIÑO entschieden. Mediterrane Hähnchenspieße, Garnelen, Falafeltaler, milder Ziegenkäse, Süßkartoffel u.a. Sehr lecker...

Gute Burger - aber auch der Kaffee ist lecker preislich leider wie alles in Deutschland..mächtig erhöht..

Weizenbier 0,5 L für 5,90 EUR: Wucher! Essen war gut und Servicepersonal sehr nett, aber die Getränkepreise sind Abzocke.

Man kann gut mexikanisch Essen. Die Cocktails sind köstlich, auch die nicht alkoholischen.

Eines der besten in der Stadt, ich liebe es wirklich.

Tolles Restaurant ☺️. Sehr nette Bedienung, nicht aufdringlich, dennoch sehr aufmerksam. Essen sehr lecker, frische Zutaten. Hatten einen alkoholfreien Cocktail 😉(Jumbo), sehr zu empfehlen. Wenn wir mal wieder in Gießen sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Steak hätte wie immer, wärmer am Gast ankommen können. Qualitativ aber echt gut.

Am heutigen Samstag Abend um 22:55 Uhr wurden wir - wie viele andere Gäste, die aus dem Kino kamen und etwas trinken wollten - weggeschickt, weil sie “schließen”. Die Homepage sagt bis 00:00 Uhr geöffnet und schreibt im Text sogar “open end”. Das ist für eine laue Sommernacht mit vielen Menschen in der Stadt echt enttäuschend.

Das einzig „schlechte“ ist die Lautstärke, doch das ist für so ein hervorragendes Restaurant mit vielen Gästen natürlich normal Ich würde empfehlen vorher einen Tisch zu reservieren, das Bolero ist extrem beliebt und hat nicht immer noch was frei. Selbst für zwei Personen manchmal schwierig

Praktisch, zuverlässige Qualität und gute Portionsgrößen. Gute Lage direkt gegenüber dem Kino und der Bushaltestelle.

Wir waren gestern Abend auf einen Drink hier. Habe mit den Hausgemachten IceTea zum Dink mit Vodka mischen lassen. Sehr lecker! Zum essen waren wir leider zu spät. Es sah aber sehr lecker aus. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder. Der Service war hervorragend. Die Location an sich ist sehr schön.

Im Bolero ist es immer wieder gut – zum Beispiel beim Osterbrunch. Die Auswahl an Fleisch, Fisch, Gemüse und veganen Speisen ist groß, alles sehr lecker und appetitlich angerichtet. Dazu kommt ein super nettes Personal – rundum ein gelungener Besuch. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Gemütliches Restaurant mit breiter Speisekarte. Alles, was ich bisher dort gegessen habe, war sehr lecker. Angenehme Atmosphäre, freundliche Bedienungen. Auch der Oster-Brunch war sehr lecker.

Sonne satt am Abend. Bester Platz am Ort für einen Sundowner. Der Service im Außenbereich war grottig. Bedienung schnippisch und belehrend.

Gestern erstes Mal dort essen gewesen. Salat bestellt. Hälfte hat um Salat gefehlt. Dazu kommt noch ein Steinchen der im Salat war und mir einen Zahn beschädigt hat. Es war das erste und letzte Mal.

Wir können uns beim Restaurant nur bedanken. Der Deluxe Burger und der Chicken Wrap schmecken fantastisch. Die Atmosphäre und das Ambiente sind nachmittags sehr angenehm. Das Personal ist super freundlich, schnell und war bei einem von uns übersehenen Ernährungsproblem sehr hilfsbereit und kulant. Eine sehr gute Küche bieten viele Restaurants, das Bolero hat darüberhinaus auch verstanden, was guter Service bedeutet. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen!

Wenn wir in Gießen sind, gehen wir sehr gerne ins Bolero. Vorab reservieren ist ein Muss, da am Wochenende jeder Platz besetzt ist. Kann man schnell online die Reservierung vornehmen. Das Essen ist wie immer sehr lecker und gute Portionen gewesen. Der Service immer freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend. Große Auswahl an Getränken. Gibt 5 Sterne von uns :)

Wir hatten gestern einen sehr schönen Abend im Bolero. Wir haben selten einen so tollen Service erlebt. Unsere Bedienung Lea war unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Das Angebot an veganen Gerichten war sehr gut.

Nettes Restaurant mit schmackhaften Cocktails. Burger sind auch ziemlich gut nur die Wraps sind teilweise nicht der Brenner. Sonst gerne und immer wieder. Parkhaus in der Nähe und Kino direkt nebenan.

Super leckere Getränke. Beim Essen kann ich die Nachos und die Pommes sehr empfehlen. Die Wraps sind nun mehrfach geschmacklich bei mir durchgefallen. Aber die Burger waren bisher immer gut. Am Wochenende darf man nur 2 Stunden reservieren und nur bei Anfrage evtl länger sitzen bleiben, kommt aber auf den Betrieb an. Das dass Kino direkt nebendran ist, ist natürlich äußerst praktisch.

Enttäuscht ohne Ende. Nach Google ist das Bolero bis 0:00 Uhr geöffnet, in der Realität wurde vor 22:24 Uhr die „Letzte Runde“ eingeläutet. Gruselig. Wir empfehlen, Info, die zum eigenen Laden gehört, im Blick behalten. Als Liebhaber von Städten auch am späteren Abend, Gießen unbedingt meiden. Und auch das Bolero. Sehr deprimierend, das Bolero und Gießen.

Leckeres Essen, toller Service ganz besonders ruhige Atmosphäre. Man konnte sich entspannt am Esstisch unterhalten und das Essen genießen.

Sehr Angenehmer Laden, Service ist Perfekt, Essen schmeckt gut und das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Es ist Mega für ein Date oder für einen Cocktail Abend oder einfach nochmal was Trinken oder essen gehen nach dem Kino.

Richtig gutes essen und super Service, trinken war super. Eine Verbesserung, die Messer könnten noch ein bisschen besser für ein Steak sein. Sonst wirklich sehr gut und zum empfehlen.

Keine Seife in den Toiletten und das Essen ist "OK" aber ueberteuert.

Der Service war freundlich und nett. Aber die Preisgestaltung und die „Weitergabe” der Mehrwertsteuersenkung an den Endkunden ist halt die andere Seite der Medaille. Rund 16 € für einen Burger ohne Beilage, das ist schon happig. Da isst man inzwischen günstiger in Paris und London als in der Großstadt Gießen. Zum Mittagstisch kann man auf jeden Fall vorbeigehen, aber die regulären Preise sind schon grenzwertig.

Gemütlich. Beste Burger. Große Auswahl an alkoholfreien Cocktails und Erfrischungsgetränken. Erstklassiger Service, selbst bei großem Andrang.

Gutes Essen, nichts sonderlich außergewöhnliches aber dennoch zufriedenstellend.

Das Essen war insgesamt in Ordnung, allerdings war das Steak leider deutlich zu durch, obwohl es ausdrücklich als Medium Rare bestellt wurde. Das war etwas enttäuschend, für den Preis… Positiv hervorzuheben ist der Service der weiblichen Azubin: Sie war mega lieb, sehr aufmerksam und bemüht, was den Aufenthalt deutlich angenehmer gemacht hat. Leider konnten die anderen Serviceerfahrungen da nicht mithalten. Sowohl Aleksandra als auch der Herr, der für die Tischverteilung zuständig war, traten sehr unfreundlich auf, was den Gesamteindruck merklich getrübt hat. Insgesamt wäre der Besuch mit einem freundlicheren Auftreten des gesamten Personals deutlich angenehmer gewesen, da das Essen an sich ganz okay war, aber leider nicht noch einmal.

The staff are very unfriendly to customers and seem to drink alcohol at work, which explains their behavior. The food isn't even good; you're much better off going to Marburg Oberstadt.

An absolutely delightful restaurant.

We went without a reservation, were greeted warmly, and quickly got a table. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was well-prepared and, importantly for me, it was also piping hot. We were also asked several times if we needed anything else or if everything was alright. This restaurant is highly recommended. Thanks to the team, keep up the good work! 👍

We received very friendly and courteous service. The food was delicious. It was also beautifully presented and served. We were at the Bolero for a special occasion, so we spent a little more money. It was a very nice evening. Appropriate for the special occasion. We were very satisfied. Of course, the Bolero is at capacity on a weekend evening, and accordingly loud. Nevertheless, it was very nice.

The food is delicious, the ambiance is great, especially the lighting, but the prices are ridiculously high. €22.50 for a chicken salad. €15.90 for a simple wrap. It really makes you wonder what kind of world we live in, charging such prices. It's a shame! It would otherwise be a restaurant you could have visited more often, but not at these prices.

Romantic and tranquil atmosphere, wonderful drinks and food.

The food is above average, but it's tasty, but nothing that will blow you away. The service is first-class. Very friendly, quick, and always checks the empty drinks (not a given these days). The room was packed to capacity, making it very cramped and also very noisy. Nevertheless, it's a beautifully decorated restaurant with a wide selection of food and drinks.

Apparently, the head waiter is disinterested in his job. When I asked if I had a table, I only received a rude reply. When no one came after 15 minutes, I raised my hand, and instead of good service, I got a wave back and the whole thing was made ridiculous. Apparently, Bolero no longer needs good service.

We went there for the first time today. We received a super friendly welcome and were shown to our tables. We tried various cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They were all truly excellent 👍🏼 The food was also really delicious, and the portions were reasonable value for money 👍🏼 Where I was a bit dissatisfied were the restrooms; I don't understand cleanliness in the slightest. But now I come to the reason I wanted to write this review in the first place: the ladies who served us at our table were so incredibly friendly!! Always smiling, especially the lady who had Renee on her sign! She truly made our day!

I've rarely had such an unfriendly experience. I sat there for over 15 minutes without anyone attending to me. When I asked why no one was coming, I only received the rude reply that I should "go in myself." That's absolutely disrespectful to customers – you wait and are simply ignored instead of being greeted in a friendly manner or given advice. I've truly never experienced anything like that! If you expect customer service, you're definitely in the wrong place.

I went to Mexican food for the first time today with my best friends, and it was fantastic. We got a table without a reservation, and the staff was friendlier than I've seen in a long time. Thank you very much. And the food was fantastic. The dibbas were amazing, and the aioli was the best I've ever had. Even though I drive almost two hours, I'll be back next month to enjoy this fantastic food, the cocktails, and the extremely friendly staff. Thank you very much for a new dining experience, and I'm always happy to come back.

Review of a visit to Bolero Gießen I'm generally an optimistic person and not a fan of excessive criticism. However, my visit to Bolero Gießen was a thoroughly disappointing experience, one I can't leave uncommented. The food didn't seem fresh or lovingly prepared in any way. The taste was cafeteria-level, lacking any claim to quality. The service staff seemed bored, disinterested, and clearly uninterested in providing guests with a pleasant experience—let alone showing a hint of hospitality. What was particularly irritating was that we were offered our "last round" at 10:00 PM—in a restaurant that's supposed to be a place for socializing. But that wasn't enough: Shortly thereafter, the song "Who Turned the Clock?" started playing at an absurd volume. Such a clumsy and unpleasant method of getting guests to leave is simply disrespectful—especially at a time when the restaurant industry should be fighting for every customer. While many restaurateurs are fighting with great commitment, passion, and creativity to keep their businesses afloat, the Bolero Gießen seems like an emotionless restaurant factory where guests are simply rushed through and sent off as quickly as possible. For me, it was my first visit—and certainly my last. An experience that leaves me speechless. What a pity for the lost time and money. Retrain your service staff

Simply amazing! The whole atmosphere is fantastic. We were there spontaneously and were really pleasantly surprised. We were there for cocktails, and they were absolutely delicious! The food was tasty, with plenty of variety on the menu, but unfortunately everything was a bit under-seasoned; we're more used to that from Mexican cuisine. Nevertheless, we'll be back because it's a cool place in a good location in Giessen.

We were there to test out the restaurant for a birthday party with around 30 people. The behavior of the waitress outside - a lady with dark/black hair, cut in a bob - was very rude and impertinent. We found it almost insulting. We stuck to the drinks and didn't even mention the birthday. What a shame! We are very sociable customers and have worked in the catering industry ourselves, but this is completely unacceptable. It wasn't busy. When you are ignored for 15 minutes, even though there is hardly anyone there and the waitress is standing outside the whole time, and then you dare to raise your hand and are told angrily and in such an unfriendly tone that you have already been seen... You don't have to be treated like royalty, but as a customer you can expect a certain level of politeness. After that it didn't get any better - in fact it got worse. Especially when you then experience other customers being treated very kindly and constantly being asked if you have any other requests. Neighboring tables—ours was always avoided. Was it because of my dark hair? I don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but it was very noticeable and unpleasant. Never again.

The staff were attentive and friendly; mistakes happen, and I can overlook them. But the decor and food also give the impression of a desire to serve but not (yet) mastery. As if the place had only recently begun to gain experience in the restaurant business. The place has potential, but I can only give the food three stars. The main course was tasteless, mushicker than necessary, and almost certainly came from a microwave. The salad was already dead and limp, the fruit consisted of fruit ends, and so on and so forth... but maybe I just picked the wrong day. All the best, I won't be back for a few years.

Unfortunately our group reservation was not found and after repeated questions we were given a table for eight with 10 people. Not a good start... The food and cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, the evening also ended negatively: A pregnant friend had put her legs up on a free chair because she has health problems. She was warned not to do this and was not given any alternative offers of help. Sorry, doesn't work at all!

It's a nice, larger location, with friendly and nice service staff. I've only been there to have a drink, the cocktails and long drinks are always very tasty, and I can also recommend the lemonades. I ate there for the first time yesterday and I have to say it was delicious, but it didn't blow me away. I had the enchilada chicken, three wraps filled with vegetable ragout, tomato sauce and chicken and gratinated with cheese. Personally, I thought there was a little bit of chicken and the tomato sauce and vegetable ragout were a lot in proportion. For the price of 16.50 euros, I think it's a bit too expensive. But what is relatively cheap these days?! I can't complain otherwise, we sat in a cozy corner, the staff was friendly and the raspberry mint lemonade was delicious.

That was my second visit. I actually didn't want to go there again because the burger was so dry the last time I was there and I wasn't really full from the portion. The table was served by 3 different waiters and asked twice how you wanted to pay. A pinch of friendliness at the very end would do the whole thing a lot of good.

We were not satisfied with the service... We had dinner here tonight celebrating a friend's birthday. We brought a birthday cake and gave it to the waiter to bring to the table after dinner to surprise our friend.! But unfortunately the waiter simply placed the birthday cake IN THE PACKAGING!!!!(the way we gave it to him) on the table. That was rude and embarrassing for us.

A family friendly sports bar with great menu and beer selection. Staff really friendly and spoke English which helps if you can't speak German.

We were there at 5pm between 2 films. Totally nice service and delicious food and lemonades. Maybe you should make a reservation, we only had one hour, but that suited us.

I have been to Bolero many times and have always been satisfied. I ordered a burger and chili cheese fries, which came with a ready-made cheese sauce that came from a tube and tasted like a disaster. Unfortunately the sauce was also found on the burger... Using a ready-made, cold “cheese sauce” for that price is not appropriate and is really a shame. Unfortunately, it was also very drafty and cold where we were, which didn't make us feel comfortable. We couldn't change because the restaurant was full. Positive: The service was very good, attentive and friendly. I remembered the Bolero better and am very disappointed.
