Very tasty food (Tuesday is burger day!) and great cocktails :-)

We eat here every few months for weekday lunch. At this time the prices are very good thanks to the lunch menu (burger with fries, drink and dessert <15€). The service is very friendly, the food is excellent. The fries in particular are very tasty. We also recommend the fries with crispy chicken and gratinated with cheese. We will definitely eat here more often. Since we haven't eaten here in the evening for a long time, we can't comment on that.

There are delicious burgers here. I had a surf and turf burger. Delicious.

OK for a branch system. Although Happy our Cocktail had all the ingredients described, the taste was not particularly outstanding. Nachos con carne OK. There are definitely better tortilla chips. Service was very attentive and professional. Location in the middle of the city. And certainly benefit from the cinema next door.

Absolutely delicious burgers and exceptional burger creations. Also for vegetarians and vegans. Courteous service and as far as the ambience is concerned, you sit outside on the town hall square, the wasps were extremely annoying this year, but it's nice inside too.

Despite the location at probably one of the busiest intersections in Giessen, we find it comfortable to sit outside in the evenings, especially in summer. The food is super delicious and the cocktails are also delicious. Price/performance is right.

I ordered a non-alcoholic mojito and got one with alcohol instead. After complaining, the waitress brought another mojito - again with alcohol and more ice. Only after the third attempt did I get the right drink. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Lg

The food is always delicious, there is a large selection of food and drinks! Unfortunately, the prices have now risen significantly. The employees are always nice and attentive, even when there is a lot of activity. It's usually impossible to get a table without a reservation, so we always prefer to make a reservation.

Cocktails were not good! When we wanted to go to the toilet we were insulted because we went in through the side entrance, which was open. Except for waitress No. 1, who was very friendly, the behavior of the staff was impossible. Not recommended!

In the middle of Berliner Platz, an inviting atmosphere under generous parasols and very comfortable outdoor furniture🍹🍀👌TOP! Good service, quick, careful, friendly. What more could you want? 🎉A very extensive and imaginative menu of multinational dishes, delicious cocktails, small and large, cold and warm dishes at affordable prices👍👍👍. Gastro doesn't get any better than this. I hope I have the opportunity to stop by often. Absolutely recommended 💝🥂

Waiter Tobias very bold. For a price of €27 you give €30 and while you are waiting for your change you are asked the question “Do you want something back?” I personally find it very inappropriate and unpleasant.

A very quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the location is also really nice. The staff is really friendly and the main point of course, the food, 10/10, very delicious and visually great too, is really highly recommended!

Large covered terrace located at an intersection, which doesn't bother you. South American cuisine. Good selection of food and drinks, there is something for everyone. Food was very tasty. In the toilets, the sink can be used in the women's and men's toilets. Very well thought out and sustainable. Recommended

Decent food and decent service. You can like the noise of the traffic around you, but you don't have to. City dwellers probably won't notice it anyway.

Were in your store for the first time. Super friendly employees who are always on their toes. Our waitress Alexandra took great care of us... we'll be back. Everything was very tasty and arrived quickly. Great !

Left the store after about 30 minutes without being served. Waiters prefer to talk about whether the women outside are for them. Unprofessional bunch.

My favorite when I'm in Giessen. Service is always great. If it's too crowded you have to wait a little longer. Nevertheless, always happy. Of course I like to sit outside and it's a great place to see everything good. I'm always happy to come back to you.

Unfortunately the food is overpriced. 33.00 euros for a 250g steak. There are better locations with better meat and a fairer price-performance ratio.

The food is delicious. Something for every taste. The children's menus are very huge. Better to be smaller and cheaper than expensive and huge. Because of the size, you can always get a seat.

Waited less than 10 minutes for the food. The burgers were great!!!

I'm really excited. This restaurant really caters for every taste and has a large selection of drinks and food. We chose burgers 🍔 as a side dish there were well-seasoned, very tasty fries 🍟 with various dips that you can order there. We had one as a dessert a kind of chocolate soufflè with vanilla ice cream, a good combination of the hot chocolate in the cake with the ice cream on the side. The service did a good job, they were quickly attentive and very friendly. From now on this will be my go-to restaurant when I'm in Giessen.

Very tasty food at fair prices!

I'm from Seville, I went to Gießen for an exchange and this bolero has nothing to do with those from Spain. It's prettier, bigger and more fun.

A little expensive, but the vegan offering has improved a lot in recent years, and the service is friendly and fast. It's a shame that you have to order the side dishes separately with the burgers, the prices for fries and dips are quite high. The desserts are cheaper, but unfortunately there are no vegan desserts apart from sorbet.

An all-round culinary success. Diverse cocktail menu and happy hour. Combination offer with a visit to the cinema is great.

Unfortunately, the employee dropped the bowl of nachos out of her hand and landed directly on us. Unfortunately the sauce (guacamole) got stuck on my jacket. Unfortunately there wasn't more than a "Sorry, I'll bring it back to you" and two napkins. We would have liked an accommodation for the circumstances. Overall a little more expensive. The drinks tasted good.

Drinking a quick draft beer before going to the cinema would unfortunately be a bit stressful for everyone

We mostly eat burgers with sides and nachos here. They're all really awesome. (Recommendation: Queso Azul Burger with blue cheese, tastes slightly sweet) There is also a very good, and compared to most other restaurants, large selection of food for vegetarians and vegans. Likewise, the cocktails, if not exactly cheap, are super tasty. There is a large selection of non-alcoholic cocktails (recommendation: Dragon Eye), so there should be something for everyone. Since the cinema is right next door, you can have a great meal either before or after a film.

Spring, summer = sitting outside. Nice outdoor restaurant, very cozy, even when it's dark. (Why children sitting there on the steps have to be so loud is another topic.) Food was very tasty and quick. Attentive service. We wanted to go to the cinema and getting up and walking over is very convenient.

There was pesto with scampi on the menu and it was also offered vegetarian. I ordered without scampi but paid the full price of €18.00. When I asked, I was told that this would always be the case!! I found that inappropriate and outrageous. I was there for the first and last time.

Great restaurant right next to the cinema. The food was very tasty and sufficient. The cocktails are quite expensive. But we were there during happy hour, so the price went down. I'll definitely come back.

Vor Kino eine Kleinigkeit essen im Bolero kann man mal machen. Allerdings sind die Preise inzwischen recht hoch, das Essen zum Teil auch dementsprechend gut aber nicht alles. Die Pommes mit Pulled Pork war sehr gut allerdings etwas klein. Die Cocktails am Abend waren leider nicht so gut, bin ich anders gewöhnt daher die schlechtere Bewertung.

Ate at the counter and the young bartender was very friendly and communicative. The food was okay too. During the course of the evening, a slightly older, gray-haired gentleman joined the bar team. A younger colleague honestly confessed to him that he had made a mistake (more like an unintentional mishap) and was then told in a bad way (inappropriate manner) how he should fix it. The older colleague then talked to a colleague about the young colleague's "not" ability. Displaying such uncollegial behavior in front of guests is not very professional.

We ate well and the service was great too.

I would give 0 points if I could. The waitress named Yonas is an absolute *#%!*••!!! who aggressively insulted us and reprimanded us just because we wanted to put two chairs at our table. There were 6 of us instead of 4 people. When the table next to us became free, we asked Yonas whether the two people among us could sit at the table that had become free. Whereupon he replies in the affirmative. When new guests wanted to sit down at the table, we told them that the table was reserved. Yonas came running and loudly and aggressively pointed out to us that he, and he alone, had the right to say this to people. We of course apologized for our ignorance because we don't stoop to such a disgusting and absolutely ridiculous level. Conclusion: 1. Your staff must be properly trained and 2. Yonas should be terminated.

The food is okay, but nothing exceptional. The service is inconsistent. Sometimes very friendly, quick and courteous, other times not very committed. A poster at the entrance indicates that you will be seated and that you are not allowed to freely look for your place. You can only check the invoice after the payment process. Otherwise, the location at the town hall is very good and the terrace is very inviting, especially in warmer temperatures.

Had our Christmas party there. Food was delicious, even if the burn containers were a bit messy. Unfortunately, when the official part ended around half past nine, this was used as an opportunity to start a “last round”. However, eating the last round probably took too long, so the (unfriendly) reminder came several times that they were closing. Paired with loud music. This left a very bad impression on us. Especially since we let a hat go around shortly before paying and handed the contents over to the team. A pity. Please adjust the opening times. Or ask your colleagues whether they are known (00:00).

We ate here for the first time today and got a great, very comfortable seat. The service was extremely friendly, drinks and food came quickly and were excellent 😊 We would love to come back!

Where do we start.... The waiter was apparently completely overwhelmed. But we found the food OK but not particularly like a restaurant.

Ich war mit einer Freundin da, wir hatten reserviert, durften aber den Tisch frei wählen. Das war echt nett. Das Essen war super, gemischte Tappas, sehr lecker. Das Serviceteam war aufmerksam und immer in der Nähe! Ein schöner Abend! Danke dafür!

Leider total enttäuscht vom bolero hatte soviel gutes gehört und man sieht ja im Sommer ist es immer richtig voll. Hatte ein Rumpsteak bestellt und bin mir sicher dass das Fleisch nicht mehr gut war hat sehr sauer geschmeckt getoppt wurde das mit einer zwiebel Soße die einfach nur nach Maggi geschmeckt hat dazu gab es einen Salat der war ganz ok . Aber solches Fleisch für so einen Preis zu servieren ist eine Frechheit wirklich. Es gab 2 Mitarbeiter die ständig am Telefon waren und garnucht darauf eingegangenen sind wenn man sie rief waren ständig am handy . Richtig traurig eigentlich bei so einem schönen Ambiente. Da hat man sich nämlich Mühe gegeben aber da auch nur 4 Tische besetzt waren denke ich ist das einfach Standard geworden

Das Essen war nicht unser Geschmack: recht pikant gewürzt obwohl auf Nachfrage als mild angegeben, der Cocktail sehr lieblos zusammengekippt. Gibt deutlich bessere tex-mex Restaurants. Der Service war fast schon aufdringlich, da alle 5 Minuten von unterschiedlichen Servicekräften gefragt wurde, ob wir noch was zu trinken bestellen möchten.

Das Essen ist super,die Getränke und cocktails sind super, das Lokal ist super.

Sehr zu empfehlen, positive Überraschung in Gießen

War zum ersten Mal hier. Sehr netter Service - dabei sehr aufmerksam und geduldig. Essen total lecker und noch bezahlbar. Schön gestaltet, gute Mischung aus modern und "rustikal" (also Holztischen). Da war ich bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal.

Wir hatten die Enchilada und einen Deluxe Burger. Definitiv Preis\Leistung beim besten Willen eine 5! 13,50 (!) für den einfachen Burger ohne Beilagen. Geschmack OK, aber der ist gerade Mal so groß wie ein Big Mac. Die Enchiladas waren Geschmacklich eher untere Kategorie. Mein Sohn meinte, das geht in Richtung "Dosenchilli. Der Maisfladen obenauf ging Richtung "pappe". Dafür 14,50 €... das ist ambitioniert. Einzig die Bedienung war nett. Von uns dreien gibt es hier keine Empfehlung. Aber der Laden lebt aufgrund der Lage (Kino\Kongresshalle) nicht von Stammkunden... daher ist Besserung eher unwahrscheinlich.

Nettes Ambiente, freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Nur mexikanisch gegessen habe ich leider schon besser.

Schönes Lokal. Leider "nur" bis 0:00 Uhr geöffnet (auch freitags und samstags).

Wir waren heute Mittag zum Essen hier. Kaum was los, Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Essen war sehr lecker! Die Preise sind natürlich der Lage entsprechend hoch. Ein 0,5l Weizenbier für 5,60€ (Stand November 2023) geht natürlich schon gut ins Geld. Dementsprechend nicht für jedermann. Abends am Wochenende ist es hier leider richtig überlaufen. Aber für ein Mittagessen oder um was trinken zu gehen, ganz okay!

Schönes Lokal mit einem tollen Service "Azubi" 😁 Das Essen war lecker aber leider nicht heiß. Kommen aber gerne mal wieder ins Bolero.

Klasse Laden, toller, zuvorkommender Service und das Essen & Cocktails sind ne Wucht

Tja was soll ich sagen. Bolero Rheine ist schon gut. Allerdings geht Gießen steil..... Top Lage, top Personal. Der Service einfach klasse und ohne genau diesen Service wäre das Bolero nicht das was es ist. An der Bar wird gezaubert und der Barmann ( junger Mann, glaube Alex heißt er, zaubert Dir jeden Cocktail ruckzuck. Großes Kino.... Vielen Dank für 2 tolle tage

Liebes Bolero-Team, ich möchte gerne meine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung in eurer Bar teilen und insbesondere der Kellnerin Renne meine Anerkennung aussprechen. Der Besuch bei euch war rundum fantastisch! Renne war eine bemerkenswert freundliche und aufmerksame Kellnerin. Sie hat uns herzlich begrüßt und uns während des gesamten Abends mit einem breiten Lächeln bedient. Ihre Professionalität und ihre herzliche Art haben unseren Abend wirklich besonders gemacht. Das Essen im Bolero war einfach köstlich. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss! Die Auswahl an Gerichten war vielfältig und die Qualität der Zutaten war hervorragend. Egal, ob wir uns für Tapas, Burger oder Pasta entschieden haben, jedes Gericht war perfekt zubereitet und hat vorzüglich geschmeckt. Die Atmosphäre in der Bar war ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Das moderne und stilvolle Ambiente hat uns sofort beeindruckt. Die Musik und die Beleuchtung trugen zu einer entspannten und gemütlichen Stimmung bei. Insgesamt war unser Besuch bei Bolero eine großartige Erfahrung. Dank der freundlichen Bedienung von Renne haben wir uns wirklich willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch und die Atmosphäre war einladend. Ich kann das Bolero uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werde definitiv wiederkommen. Wir waren heute zum Abendessen da und wurden von der Kellnerin Reneé bedient. Ich habe schon seit langem nicht so eine aufmerksame, nette und kompetente Kellnerin gesehen! Bei so einem netten Service schmeckt das Essen schon viel besser… 😇

Habe mich mit einem Freund getroffen, auch wennim Außenbereich zunächst nur eine Bedienung war, bekamen wirunsere Getränke schnell und die junge Dame war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wunderbares Essen, ganz hervorragend für die Größe von Lokal. Zuvorkommende und empathische Mitarbeiterinnen trotz guter Belegung :)

Geschmacklich gutes Essen, Preise mittlerweile viel zu hoch für die Größe der Portionen bzw. wird weg rationalisiert (Ketchup/Mayo nicht mehr enthalten). Atmosphäre Bar-like und recht gemütlich. Service in Ordnung, war schon besser in der Vergangenheit (subjektiv).

Von der Organisation Bishop zur Durchführung kann ich dem ganzen Team nur DANKE sagen, meine Gäste und ich waren rundum sehr sehr zufrieden.

Wir wollten heute telefonisch etwas bestellen. Krankheitsbedingt einmal zum Abholen. Der Mensch am Telefon war unterirdisch unfreundlich. Seitens so etwas pampig arrogantes erlebt. Werden dort sicher nie wieder als Gäste hingehen. Auf keine der Fragen, die wir hatten geantwortet - auch auf Wartezeit keine Antwort. Patzig, frech und absolut nicht an uns als Kunden interessiert. Zum Glück gibt es was das Thema Mexikanisch angeht bessere - aber vor allem freundliche Alternativen in Gießen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Das Essen ist eine reine Katastrophe! Getränke werden gepunscht, dass war kein Eistee, dass war Wasser mit Sirup! Eklig! Das Essen war kalt und ungenießbar. Der Burger für 17 Euro mit Trüffelsosse…. Wo war die Soße bitte?! Also kurz und bündig eine reine Katastrophe! Nie wieder! Schade, damals war es sehr lecker! Das Personal eigentlich ganz nett. Die Chefs sitzen drin und sind ständig am Handy….
