We were there on New Year's Eve. The staff and the owner were very friendly and the room was authentically furnished. The menu is small but completely sufficient. The prices are not low but it is also a small experience to eat there and enjoy it. We had one cold dish and two warm dishes, which was completely sufficient for us (2 people). Conclusion: It was a very nice visit and the staff radiated a warmth that you no longer find in many restaurants.

I love this place! Very good quality, awesome combination of Latin America flavors!! I highly recommend to order one of the ceviches! It’s clear that the owner puts a lot of attention to the restaurant and this is reflected in the good service and guidance from the waiters.

I have to start by saying that I am familiar with Peruvian cuisine. I was even more disappointed in Bodega Lima. The very limited menu does have a few classics, but... The Papas a la Huancaina have little to do with the original. Drowned in two undefined sauces with just a hint of aji. Zero stars for this. Lomo Saltado was ok. Pulpo... how can you overcook it to the point of mushyness? The ceviche was also just mediocre. Prices are very high for taste and portion size. The Pisco is a disgrace. Small! glasses. Way too much sugar. And eleven for that!!!! Euro? This must be the hipster serve. There is no other way to explain it.

The hot dishes were good. Ceviche has room to improve. Unfortunately, we were not informed in time that there was only one hour left to eat. Being kicked out given the amount of the bill was not good service. Too bad, not worth the money.

The Bodega Lima in Hamburg is a real highlight! The food is super delicious – from fresh ceviche to hearty classics like lomo saltado, everything is prepared with a lot of love. Particularly noteworthy are the friendly and attentive staff, who make the visit an all-round great experience. A perfect place to enjoy Peruvian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

Let's put it this way, if you don't care about the price-performance ratio and you really want to try Peruvian food, go there. The food was good, that's how we can judge it in a group with Peruvians. Not to mention, it was incredibly salty, presumably to sell more drinks. When we all shared the same feedback as a group of 6, the boss denied everything. Price performance ratio is underground. Of course, if you follow the extremely pushy boss's recommendation to order two main dishes per person, then you'll be full, but you'll also lose 50 euros per person. The boss herself ruined the atmosphere for us the most. I really appreciate it if you are entrepreneurially ambitious and do cross-selling. But the boss doesn't take no for an answer and pushily tries to sell everything she can. NO, in Peru it is not customary to share all dishes.

Hervorragender Laden, sehr authetisches peruanisches Essen, nicht ganz billig, aber für die Qualität absolut angemessen. Das Ceviche war hervorragend und recht verhältnismäßig viel. 5 Portionen für 2 haben dicke gereicht. Der Maracuja Pisco Sour ist ein klasse Aperitiv. Volle Empfehlung. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Fantastic, delicious food. It's not just the preparation of the food, but the combination of different aromas and flavors that makes this unique. Plus a very nice service. From the outside you would rather walk past. But that's deceptive. A visit is worth it.

Sehr gutes Essen, fantastisches Aperitiv, einzig die Tatsache, dass alle Speisen gleichzeitig (kalte Vorspeisen u. warme Gerichte) auf den Tisch kommen, lässt der Eindruck entstehen, dass der Gast den Platz lieber schnell frei machen soll. Schade drum!

Une belle surprise! Tout était complet un lundi soir à Hambourg. Après négociation avec la patronne, on accepte de nous donner une table. Et c’était une chance. La nourriture est excellente, goûteuse à souhait. Le service est efficace et sympathique. On y reviendra, c’est sûr!

Absolutely thrilled! It was a very nice evening at bodega Lima, the food is so good that you will definitely come back again and again. Service and hospitality is also a good reason to visit this restaurant more often. So far unique for me, just like the Mango Pisco.

Let’s start with food! The food got ready very very fast! Which was awesome. The taste was great; we ordered 4 dishes for 2 people as the waitress suggested and the quantity was right. Taste, texture and plating were great, the reason I remove 1 star from food part is the price and drinks! We both ordered Pisco sour which is my favourite drinks. I have so much better than what I had tonight! Actually their Pisco sour was one the worst I had. Tasted very sweet than typical and artificial. No taste of fresh lime and as you can see in the picture it was served all in foam! I asked if I could skip the Sirup as I am in sugar free week and they refused!! The other star from food is taken out because of Price performance ration was right. We had only 1 drinks and with what we ate we ended up paying a bit more than 60 euros. Portions are small for the price I’d say so one needs to order more than 1 food which is already priced from 20-26 euros! The service was not very good, our reservation was as at 19:30 and I expect to be allowed to sit till 21:30. While around 21:00 they came to remove dishes. Most of their presence was around closing time for taking off the plates and payment. I needed a piece of lime which I had to wait for some time to grab a personale. It’s a very loud restaurant and since the ventilation was not working, it was very smelly of fried food.

Richtig tolles Essen aber nicht günstig. Wir sind der Empfehlung (2 Gerichte pro Person) gefolgt und hatten bei vier Erwachsenen tatsächlich zu viel. Je ein warmes und ein kaltes Gericht weniger wäre genau richtig gewesen … aber sehr lecker war es trotzdem 😀.

Wir waren das erste Mal in der Bodega Lima und was soll ich sagen, mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal. Peruanische Küche kannten wir bis dahin nicht und es war sehr sehr lecker, ob kalte oder warme Speisen, alles war auf den Punkt und sehr interessant gewürzt. Sicher es ist nicht ganz billig, dafür beste Qualität und mit viel Liebe zubereitete Speisen. Dazu eine überaus freundliche Chefin mit einem tollen Team. Absolute Empfehlung.

The food was really nice, i was suprised with the couliflower dish! Delicious!!!! For us it was the highlight ! The Nikkei ceviche was a little too salty and the mango ceviche was really nice! The octopus was also really tasty. The staff was super friendly and the place is really cool!

What an outrageous tiger's milk! Delicious. And the lomo saltado is also recommended. The attention is very pleasant and close, Monica is a very charming woman and has many stories (I hope she makes the blog). It exceeded my expectations. And on top of that they have a pisco of chicha morada, another of lemon verbena and another of cocoa. Hallucinatory!

Had great food in a great authentic atmosphere. We received great information and facts about the dishes from the lovely owner and gave us good advice. We tried several dishes. Every dish was unique and extremely delicious. The dessert, the Peruvian drinks, it was all very, very tasty. The shop looks inconspicuous from the outside, but is definitely worth a visit. We'd love to come back.

Quite nice. I can't understand the overwhelming reviews about the exotic or sophisticated taste: simple South American home cooking is served here. Neither more nor less. From cevice to rice pudding. What annoys me, however, is the very small portions given the “hamburger prices”. Even as a normal woman you need two dishes to eat, an average of €25. That's too steep for me. Ambiance and service are just normal. This summer, even in the basement it was uncomfortably warm (fans?), service wasn't exactly on point, drinks took quite a long time. Addendum: And €7.50 for a 0.75 liter bottle of water (Hamburg water, not Peruvian ;) is an outrage.

Prices beyond good and bad. The food came relatively quickly and seemed warmed up. Col and Flor consists of a hard, larger cauliflower. Charging 24 euros for it is very borderline. It felt like 30 minutes after we were finished. By the way, asked if everything was ok? Not really... Oh and automatically including 10% for tips in the bill is a joke. Absolute anti recommendation!

Excellent, tasty and well presented food. Peruvian is a very interesting cuisine. The restaurant, located in the basement, has a cozy, simple feel-good atmosphere. The service staff were very friendly, but on the evening of my visit they were slightly overwhelmed and not always attentive. The guest should also be able to understand and speak English. Or just Spanish. I can highly recommend the Bodega Lima restaurant for a lovely and culinary evening, also due to its central location in the Karolinenviertel.

I went to eat there and I had the worst experience. The owner approaches you intensely, giving an insufferable explanation of the letter. We ordered knowing that it is an expensive restaurant. The sizes are not big but the prices don't make sense. The quality-price ratio is absurd, the quality of our products is not what is expected. And it shows that they work with a lot of frozen foods. It doesn't feel fresh. Classic scam in which you only think about the money and not about offering an experience. Never more.

Cozy shop and very nicely prepared food.

We were really looking forward to experience a delicious Peruvian cuisine in Hamburg. As Peruvian food lovers, we have been trying Peruvian restaurants around the globe, especially a lot of places throughout Latin American countries. When we arrived at Bodega Lima, we were told that the portion size is small, so it's recommended by a staff to take 2 dishes per person. For €25+ per dish, it's too expensive for what it is if the flavour is not quite there. The food is ok but not amazing. The ambience is extremely busy and loud, more from staff communicating with each other than customers making noises. My order was served wrong, lomo saltado without noodle. A staff said it was miscommunication without trying to give any apology. Instead, she gave me a small bowl of rice. When we paid, we were astonished about the price. To our surprise, 10% extra was added into the bill without any explanation for what it is or asking for consent. So we assumed that it's a hidden mandatory service charge like in Central/ South America. Anyway, we paid with a single €100 banknote. She calculated the cash back in her head without using a calculator. It turned out she calculated wrong, and we didn't check well in the restaurant. We realized later when we were far away from the place that we received less amount of cash back from a staff that we should have got but could't care more to go back to the place. All in all, we had a terrible experience at the restaurant. Though, 1 star is for Inka cola, which isn't available everywhere, even in Latin America countries outside Peru.

Amazing food. The ceviche was really spot-on but our surprise favourite was the chicharron - best pork belly we've ever had. Service was also quick and attentive.

My God, what an incredibly delicious meal. It's a little more expensive (each dish costs just under €20 and you have to eat at least two to fill you up), but it's worth every penny. I haven't eaten as tasty a meal as I did here, even in starred restaurants.

Actually, everything relevant has already been written here. There is delicious food, authentic and particularly tasty. A friendly but demanding service that advises you to choose two dishes (between 20 and 25). There were three of us and we ordered 4 dishes. Unfortunately, the relationship between price and portion size is not given. That's why this will be my only visit. And yes, I can agree with the argument that importing high-quality ingredients is expensive. But it also leaves the bad thought in your head that you have to pay for this meal several times. Namely with your wallet and the ecological footprint that imported goods cause. The automatically added tip should perhaps also be mentioned. It seemed like this was mandatory. That's at least borderline and also cheeky for such prices. One would think that this would allow employees to be well compensated.

Really something special! Not something we could often afford, but still absolutely worth a visit. From the drinks to the dessert, everything was perfect. Thank you for the lovely evening🌼🌷

Great little restaurant. Authentic dishes, lovingly and creatively prepared. Totally nice staff who explained all the dishes to us with passion. You order several small dishes and then share them. The portions are such that you should count on 2 pieces per person. If you're hungry, a third one too. It's not cheap, but it's worth every cent. I will definitely be back and will definitely recommend Bodega Lima.

Tasty, but not so much that the prices even begin to justify it. Even for normal portions it would be far too expensive, but the portions are very small. Simply cheeky. Even witnessed customers leaving the store after seeing the menu...if they lowered the prices I might come back, otherwise never again.

The meal was excellent! Tastes at star cuisine level! The dishes were explained to us very well and in an interesting way by the owner. The selection is limited to typical and historical Peruvian dishes, which I found very positive. I also liked that you should order the dishes tapas-style. It was an experience for us to try our way through it! Everything we ordered tasted very good. The wine and the remaining drinks were also very tasty. The Bestzer and several service employees were very nice, courteous and warm to us and our children! The atmosphere was very cozy, clean and not crowded. We'd love to come back! The restaurant's furnishings were spartan; the basement was rather cool. The menu is clear, we assumed the prices of the individual dishes were main courses. The waiter's recommendation was 2-3 portions per guest. The food was well done but the price/performance wasn't right for me (tapas for over €20 per bowl).

Wirklich super leckeres Essen! Handwerklich sehr fein (man kann den Köchen von einigen Plätzen aus zusehen) gestaltet Teller zum Teilen. Auch die Veggy Gerichte lassen keine Wünsche übrig! Sicher nicht ganz günstig, aber die Preise sind auf jeden Fall gerechtfertigt! Eines unsere Lieblings-Restaurants und sicher das beste peruanische in Hamburg! Das Essen war gut, aber doch recht überteuert. Die große Enttäuschung ist allerdings die halbe Flasche ja!-Wasser für 7,50 Euro, die an der offenen Theke in Glaskaraffen umgefüllt wird und in der Karte mit Viva con agua beworben wird.

The food is really very tasty. The individual dishes are a little smaller, due to the tapas idea behind them. Food should be shared with each other. But everyone needs at least two dishes to fill them up. And they are much more expensive than normal tapas. That's why it's unfortunately quite an expensive but also delicious feast.

The four of us celebrated a friend's birthday here and found the evening perfect both in terms of cuisine and ambience! The food is really incredibly good and worth every cent, as are the cocktails. We had flowers with us as a birthday present and also received a vase, something like that is not a given. The advice on the dishes was informative and all the service staff were extremely friendly. I have never eaten such good ceviche and the other dishes were incredibly delicious and I have never had anything like this anywhere before. To top it all off, there was a homemade Pisco schnapps on the house. Great recommendation, we would love to come back!
