Blumental in Berlin

It was a really lovely evening at the Blumental restaurant thanks to the nice atmosphere. The food was not only good value for money, but we were also very impressed by the quality and variety. An unassuming restaurant that is at least worth a visit!

The location is beautifully decorated and in the evenings it almost has a club atmosphere. Recommended for an aperitif/drink etc., but not as a dinner location. Food: Currently more "hummus-heavy" + "mayo-heavy" (which is not bad, but it overwhelms the taste of the ingredients), dishes sounded better than what you ended up with on your plate. We had the mashed potatoes, BBQ Fantastico and Topi de Padron. Everything tasted OK, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. It was a shame that one component was missing from each of the main courses. For example, Mojo Verde in the BBQ Fantastico, but they just put twice as much mayo on it. Service: *were served by 2 people. 1 was very friendly and attentive, the other was not. *Starter came with the main courses. No drama, but a shame *Drinks only arrived after the meal Cleanliness: Please check and clean the toilets regularly, unfortunately they didn't look sexy when we visited. Kitchen: *the open concept is great *Respect to the chefs for even being able to cook in the dark cooking/preparing 😉

The food was bad and the staff was unfriendly

Cozy restaurant that has also a co-working space. I went there for brunch with friends and I was amazed by the food selection and the coffee quality. There is a large selection of high quality vegetarian and vegan dishes. The staff was very friendly. Even the restroom is quite an experience: I felt like the little mermaid.

Unfortunately we couldn't reserve a table, so the two of us spontaneously stopped by and were immediately helped with a few seats. The menu is clear and peppered with some goodies. I think I could have eaten everything, everything looked extremely tasty. We were extremely happy with our choice and can highly recommend Blumental.

A beautiful brunch spot in Xberg, where you can enjoy delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes, inspired by levantine and american diner cuisine. The atmosphere is a mix of up-cycled and natural designs. The space is filled with some beautiful morning light, making this café quite spacious and cosy at the same time. Spoiler: try to avoid the weekends and especially Sundays. Cheers!

Definitely recommended for fans of vegetarian and vegan cuisine. For everyone else, the sweet desserts look best. The rest of the breakfasts usually seem a bit very hearty and heavy on sourdough bread. A few more unhealthy sweet options wouldn't hurt (I only saw one croissant). But the dishes are always very nicely presented. The restaurant itself scores points with its open kitchen, which contributes to the low level of conversation and noise.

I visited Blumental last Sunday with no reservation. Big mistake.. the place was packed but thankfully I was placed at the bar and eventually on one of the couches. I ordered the French toast which was absolutely delicious! BIG shout out to Linda who took great care of us. Will definitely come back to try the coworking space during the week!

I was there twice within a year of each other. The first time it was really good: interesting food, friendly service, and of course the location also lives a lot from its furnishings. The second time was stable in terms of service but unfortunately a disappointment in terms of food: charred tasting pieces of vegetables that looked nice but didn't do anything else - unfortunately. I was wondering if anyone had tried this combination themselves before it was sold.

The atmosphere was great, but the service was slow due to understaffing. We waited a long time to order and another 15 minutes for a fridge-ready dessert. While our server was generally nice, she was rude when we politely asked about the delay (she gave a sassy response of "I only have two hands") this really soured the experience, who wants to be yelled at when they are a paying customer at a restaurant especially that we were polite. On the positive side, they offer sekt bottles with fresh orange juice. The food was tasty but not remarkable for the city’s brunch scene. The eggs Benedict were just boiled eggs—not really Benedict.

The price/performance ratio is really great here. The quality of the food offered is great and the portions really fill you up. The store is really attractively designed with a pleasant atmosphere. UNFORTUNATELY, as is now the case everywhere in Berlin, the majority of the service here speaks English - that should change. Otherwise absolute recommendation.

Although the interior and atmosphere were great, I was quite disappointed with the food. The flavors were intense but neither pleasant nor exciting. We tried the BBQ Fantastic and Knödel—unfortunately, neither is something I’d try again.

I went to Flower Valley today and the visit was great! Luckily we had a reservation because the store was packed to capacity. The reception was super friendly, and even though our table wasn't free yet, there was a free drink at the bar - a great gesture. The flower valley is beautifully divided into three areas, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. Despite the many guests, it was surprisingly quiet thanks to sound-absorbing elements on the ceiling. The view into the open kitchen and the work of the team rounded off the ambience. The menu (vegetarian-vegan) was explained to us in detail and the selection was impressive. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented – absolutely convincing. The service was also outstanding: attentive, friendly and always there. There is a funny detail in the men's toilet: the urinals do not have a classic flush, but the water from the hand basin runs directly into the urinal. So you have to wash your hands to rinse - a clever system that saves water and contributes to hygiene in a charming way. In terms of price, Blumental is on the higher side, but the quality of the food, the service and the ambience make it absolutely justified. Conclusion: A clear recommendation! Reservations are a must, and I'll definitely be back - maybe for dinner to experience the evening service too.

The Valley of Flowers definitely convinced me! I had the pancakes, and they were just really delicious – fluffy, beautifully presented and exactly right. The café itself has a pleasant atmosphere, although a bit noisy, perfect for a leisurely brunch. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu!

Arrived on a Sunday before 4. only spot we were offered was a shitty place right at the entrance. Rough and unfriendly waitress. Just go somewhere else. Enough amazing cafes around.

I only have had a drink but that one was nice and the service gave me a good feeling. Overall a nice experience. Second time: Horribly full and although we went on the waitlist 2 hours before we arrived, we. still would have to wait for 2 more hours. After we told them, we didn’t get a notification about the waiting time left, they searched the mistake at the customer. Not good and very unprofessional. Never coming back ever again.

Always had my eye on this place as it looked very spacious and welcoming. I sit down, ready to order and notice that I need a QR code to order, and I would need to enter all my credit card details to even get one coffee. Sadly Berlin is going the way of London. What's so scary about a bit of cash? Just serve your customers and get over this stupid tech nonsense 😤

The place is very beautiful, and I had a great time. The decor is lovely, creating a nice, cozy atmosphere. I had the Turkish Eggs, which were good but not extraordinary. Unfortunately, my tea was a bit bland, which was a letdown considering the overall experience. Despite that, it's still a nice spot to chill

We love Blumenthal. Such a great menu with a large selection, everyone will find something. The pink pancakes and the French toast are a dream!!! Service was a little slower on our day, but it was busy and service was still friendly. The whole atmosphere is very cozy and inviting, we love the plants and the details. I wish there was a flower valley in my town!

AMAZING!! This cafe and bar was beautiful inside, the decor and music provided an incredible atmosphere. I love all the plants around and the yellow plastic curtains right when you walk in the door. I had the amazing Peanut Pancakes, which were TO DIE FOR and my partner had the Wax Benedict, both were so delicious, my jaw dropped. The service was so incredible, the waiters were so kind. I had to tell them how amazing this place is. They even have a coworking space for people to do work on their laptops and work on group projects! Such an amazing place, I am definitely going back.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but wanted to take a moment to show Linda some love. She appeared to be the only person working when my girlfriend and I came by on a busy night. I've worked service, and this looked like an impossible situation for any human. But Linda took great care of us, was attentive to our dietary needs, and was just so friendly and energetic despite the circumstances. Would definitely come back.

Nice atmosphere, delicious food.🙂 Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for the food, but we also received a small compensation for that. Some of the prices are not quite right for my taste (a boiled egg costs over €2🤔). But overall it's worth it!!

What a nice breeze of fresh air in Berlin. Service is attentive, friendly and it doesn’t take ages to get your food. Speaking of which, it is incredibly tasty and fresh. With big slices of sourdough bread served to a lot of dishes. Make sure to try the amore ajvar dish.

We went for brunch around 2pm and ordered two Matcha, Turkish Egg with sourdough bread and Amore Ayvar sourdough bread with an eggplant paste, which were all delicious. Very nicely prepared. Fresh sourdough bread, organic eggs, quality is definitely taken into account here. Later I have a chai, a piece of apple pie and a piece of banana bread. The house is friendly, relaxed and we had to wait a while for the order to be taken. Unfortunately, the atmosphere resembles a train station hall. It is very loud, so we recommend taking a table further back. Overall, we had a nice brunch and felt comfortable.

Loved it here! The space is really big, and they even have a separate section for people with laptops. The prices are reasonable, and you can get unlimited free water, which is always a big plus for me. If it were closer to my house, I’d probably go all the time!

The location is beautifully decorated. I especially liked how the light was played with in so many different ways🌞🌈 The staff is friendly and the food, which is freshly prepared, tastes outstanding. You can tell that there are professionals in the kitchen. The only thing is that because the kitchen is in the room without glass or similar separation, you unfortunately have to expect that your clothes will smell like food, but that kind of thing goes away quickly after a while in the air. I'm looking forward to new delicacies on the menu (hopefully 😌🍊) and I think it's great to finally have a food spot like this nearby. Definitely worth a visit (make a reservation!!!)

I really liked this cafe in the past, especially the coworking space. However, it has been too inconsistent with its opening times this month. I just arrived at 4pm (cafe usually open until 10pm) and it suddenly closed. Some weeks ago I arrived to find the cafe completely closed at noon. It's too annoying, so, I guess I have to find another place now Wanted to give it a last shot. Arrived on Monday (16.12)to see it closes at 2 due to an event. I am 100% done with this cafe

The food and drinks are super delicious. However, not a single employee speaks German and there are no vouchers available. It's self-service from ordering to clearing the table, but a tip is still expected at the end. It doesn't work at all.

I don’t understand the hype of the place to be honest. First the waiting time even though you have reserved is excruciating, then more than an hour to receive your food (Turkish eggs) and that’s if the waiter(ress) acknowledges you which is not an easy task. Now when you see how many people work there you can only wonder how badly organized one can be. Definitely don’t recommend.

Seventh stop on the Berlin specialty coffee tour. Located in the heart of the Kreuzberg district, and facing a lovely tree-lined promenade between Engeldamm and Bethaniendamm, this bar has a few tables outside, but it is inside that it offers the best of itself: a truly enormous space, with attention to detail , full of plants (after all, flowers are in the name) and with numerous seats. At the end of the room, then, there is a corridor with tables on the right and stations on the left where you can sit, without shoes, to eat and work. I ordered a late breakfast, with an oat cappuccino and a portion of apple and walnut cake. The cappuccino had perfect foam, made to perfection, accompanied by equally good coffee. The cake, however, was truly on another level: heated briefly before serving, it was the perfect temperature, soft, sweet, very fragrant and melted in the mouth; the flavor of the apples and nuts was a perfect combination. Really good. The staff was very kind in showing me how to place the order (you order and pay directly from the table, via smartphone and then wait for the service).

We were a large group for brunch on a Sunday. Food was delicious, drinks were delicious, service was top notch and the ambience was great. Really great shop, we had a great time and will come back :)

Nice place for tiktokers, but still good location. The food was amazing, best Hokkaido in town (clamore), hummus very good, and the Turkish egg was ok. Mimosa was slay, just have to say that it took a long time to have our food. PS.: FLINTA toilets with free tampons, amazing, you killed it

What a delightful experience! I had spätzle and the hummus and it was spectacular. The co-working space was especially cozy. Our waitress Linda had awesome energy, and chatted briefly with a cook named Nico who was so nice. Will definitely be back!

The service here is always really friendly and attentive. I’ve visited a few times and always really enjoyed the variety of food, delicious breakfast food made really interesting. There are also interesting hot and cold drinks as well and standard coffee made well. Cute and nice ambience inside and a big place so always got a spot without reserving.

I am thoroughly and positively impressed. I was able to work in a great atmosphere and was served by very friendly staff. I didn't have the feeling of being under time pressure like in conventional cafés, of having to clear the table for new customers after I've had my drink, because people can work here as a matter of course. There is enough space, electricity and water to fall back on, amazing! Thank you for making this possible.

12 Person Group had positive experience. Pleasant and helpful waiters, they even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Good lighting. Food came in reasonable time. Buck Fizz was perfekt.

I wanted to come to work here, but nothing came of it. Because I was only spoken to in English and he couldn't speak German. I should also place an order online and pay directly online. I went straight back because I find it so sad that you now have to order and pay online. It couldn't be simpler and humanity is developing negatively with things like this. And I found it expensive too.

The tables in Blumental are surrounded by plants which creates a very cozy atmosphere. The space is pretty big, there is a stage area and co-working space. The order is made by using the qr-code, where you also have to choose the tip amount you want to leave which is rather strange given the fact that we haven’t received any service yet whereas tip amount is the sign of how good service was. If I knew the service provided would be so bad I wouldn’t leave any tips whatsoever. We were initially told that we can choose any place that is not reserved which we did but then we were moved from one area to another because two waitresses could not decide whether we can use the co-working area, the stage area, or the dining area. The space is very beautiful, however, I did not find the variety of dishes very diverse so it was difficult to choose something, but nevertheless the things we tried were quite nice. Although the initial service ruined my experience that day I will visit again to give the place another chance.

I was previously a bit skeptical about the Instagram videos with trendy model aesthetics, but was pleasantly surprised. Rooms, atmosphere & food are wonderful. Although I would have found it desirable if you had been informed in advance about the required credit card payment, the courteous staff were extremely helpful and offered a flexible alternative. Gladly again!

Overall atmosphere is nice, but i would give Turkish eggs 3/5 and coffee as well 3/5. Maybe other dishes are better, but the chickpeas were to break the teeth 😒 I decided to give their coffee a second chance but no, this is not a place for coffee, maybe other drinks. Oh and they have self service so you have to clean after yourself, it’s fine by me, but don’t expect tips.

Cozy and unique atmosphere. Good quality coffee and tasty cake. There is a co-working space area free of charge at the back of the cafe. The place is big and comfortable with sofas and chairs.
