Blumental in Berlin

Positive: The food and drinks are great, everything tasted great and in terms of creativity I think it was really successful For example, had Ube latte (strong recommendation!) and the grilled cabbage, as well as the pink pancakes. Negative: The menu is only available with a QR code, orders are placed online via a website, payment only with credit card and then it is best to expect a 20% tip straight away, even though no service has yet been provided (you pay directly when you order) Service itself was a disaster, I waited 1.5 hours for my food while my friends were already ready (after they had been waiting forever) - at least we got an ojuice on the house, which was nice Half of the staff understands and speaks ONLY English (which wasn't a problem for us, but it will be difficult, especially for older people) Overall: food great, execution should really be worked on

Ate outside at this popular breakfast/lunch spot. Inventive vegetarian menu. Large option of drinks and coffees. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious. Ordered hummus with tofu and grilled vegetables, roasted cauliflower, cabbage plate. Will become a regular venue.

This place is FINALLY a good surprise in this city. Finally a place which does not seem to be served by pretentious australian coffee hipsters. The place is big and a very nice inside. It has coworking area in the back. I was allowed to work there even though the place was absolutely booked out. They have wifi which has become a luxury at cafes in this city. The food is interesting and tasty. A good value for money. I hope they stay like that. Waiters were super friendly, and yes it is true what some reviews say, it does take a long time to get served.

We had brunch there and it was a great surprise! Staff is friendly, the food well served, the quality of the ingredients was good! Things looked really fresh! And the mimosa was amazing! Nice place, inside it very spacious and good designed. But THE SERVICE what a disaster. I had to wait standing 10 minutes before someone came to show me the table i could sit in. I sat on a table where other people just left and nobody took away their dirty dishes and we have eaten with the table full of other people leftovers. They brought the plates ( that we have to ordered and to pay directly on the app and where the dare to ask tfor tipps even though the service is zero) and they forgot to bring the forks and tissue, we had to take them alone from another table. Sorry, you can be as glamorous as you want but the service is too bad to even think about going back.

I had a company dinner at Blumental a week ago (Thursday evening) and my experience was amazing. I reserved a table for roughly 17 people (mainly executive managers): the service was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. All the people having dinner enjoyed the food and were surprised that "even veggie food can taste spectacular". I highly recommend the venue for a company dinner, but also to enjoy a cozy date or a chill dinner with your friends. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. I will be actually back to Blumental with a friend this saturday already.... :)

The interior of this place is beautiful and although it’s a big cafe, the second room feels like you‘re at a friend’s place. There‘s a big variety of food and drinks and everything is delicious. The service is also quite fast and very friendly.

After spending 20 euros on lunch (mushrooms and tofu), I got completely sick from the food. And I don't have a sensitive stomach :/ everything else was good but I would be careful with the food.

I recently tried Blumental Coffee, and while the quality of the coffee itself was quite good, my overall experience was a bit underwhelming. The coffee had a rich, bold flavor, clearly made with care. However, it was served cold, which really detracted from the enjoyment. A good cup of coffee should be warm and comforting, but this one missed the mark in that regard. Blumental’s philosophy of “Good things take time” is understandable, but the wait time was a bit excessive. While I appreciate the effort they put into making each cup, it should’ve been served hot, especially given how long it took. There’s definite potential here, but until they can improve on both the service time and the coffee temperature, I’ll have to give them three stars.

We had a very pleasant experience and an extremely friendly and funny waitron. The food was delicious and fresh and the sound quality in the cafe was also very good. The bathrooms are an experience on their own, and really cool.

Very cute place, with different seating areas: couches, tables, working areas. Ideal for food and spending a nice time. The food was delicious and they had different coffee and non coffee options. The decoration is beautiful and you do want time there reading, working. The staff was also very nice.

We had a reservation and arrived on time. Sat there for forty minutes and no one took our order. No service whatsoever. Don’t take reservations if you’re not able to keep them.

Great place for a brunch with friends. I had a huge bread with eggplant sauce and tofu - fantastic. Beautiful color pallette inside and friendly staff.

Overpriced…. They ask for the tip before even serving you your food. You have to clean your own table and put your dishes away for 20 € The atmosphere and the place saved the day with nice organic house music.

ich habe mich bei meinem Besuch hier vom ersten Augenblick an wohl gefühlt, der Service war locker und aufmerksam und das Ambiente ist hell und freundlich. Ich hatte Amore Ajvar, ein Sauerteigbrot mit Ajvar-Auberginenpaste, dazu hatte ich ein wachsweiches Ei! Ja echt, obwohl dies ein veganes Café ist, kann man ein Ei dazubestellen, was ich super finde! Auch die Säfte sind zu empfehlen, und als Abschluß hatte ich einen Affogato, wunderbar!

Mega delicious food - vegan lax is awesome. The cappuccino was also very good. Even if you order and pay with your cell phone - very attentive service. Worth a visit!!

The dishes and cuisine were a revelation! My "Lax" spoiled me with such artfully fermented carrot wedges that my palate definitely said "salmon", and this on a perfectly toasted, magnificent sourdough bread, pureed peas and wild herb salad - wonderful. The chai latte, on the other hand, came “undone” with milk that was too cold next to it, and I didn’t find the taste of honey as advertised. That wasn't to my taste. What makes me avoid Blumental in the future is the unsafe ordering and payment method that only uses a QR code and digital debit: My loved one's credit card account reported triple payment for a ginger tea order that didn't "go through" several times in the restaurant. And the "runner" who quickly dispatched us, in my opinion aggressively in English, didn't care one bit about this misfortune. Maybe the excellent cuisine works better without any social contacts? With your own collection of food and drinks from the counter and a further revised processing that does not leave paying guests alone at risk, but rather serves them safely and in a caring manner?

Food options were limited and I found it a tad bit Instagram friendly but overrated. It’s a very pretty place, I’d agree. Think as a corworking space it’s brilliant and open airy but otherwise for someone who’s exploring or chilling, not a big fan of the options. Also my friend wanted something clearly very coffee heavy, like a cafe cream she got a milky tasteless sugary milkshake instead:(

Super nice place! Beautiful bright interior, airy and natural feeling due to lots of plants. Absolutely delicious food. I had the Lax (vegan salmon) breakfast which was a bliss. Big portion, beautifully presented, fresh and super delicious! Rosemary lemonade not too sweet and very refreshing. Very nice and fast service as well! Everyone I talked to spoke both German and English which I really appreciate because I can recommend this place to my parents as well who don’t speak English. Really enjoyed the stay.

Nice cafe, lots of space and good ambience. The coworking space is also good for working. Unfortunately, ordering in the café can only be done via QR code, which is stupid. If I want to order something online, I use a delivery app like Wolt. Also, my parents were with him Ordering on your mobile phone is overwhelming. I also find the price-performance ratio to be underground. But at least the quality is good.

Insanely nice to have diverse and simple + tasty vegan food in this city ✨ plus the Italian waitress is the most cheerful and friendly person I’ve even seen

The prices were a bit high for the quantity, but nothing outrageous. Staff is super friendly. Run by women only, cool initiative. The place has also a section that is only for coworking, loved the idea. The rest of the restaurant is normal open for the public. They also have some seats outside. They have fans all over the inside part of restaurant. Sour dough bread was amazing. You order through a QR code on each table, so is very efficient and at your own pace. What was really a sour experience for me is that I ordered the Freshly Pressed Orange Juice (which is 6euros for 300ml, I think) and got some juice that was SUPER diluted with water and also had ice (to dilute it even more). I complained to the waitress and she said it could be the orange type that looks like faded orange, but I tried it and the flavor was 100% diluted juice with water. Then they exchanged my juice to one that was indeed pressed and not diluted, the change in flavor was undeniable. The bad thing here is that they didnt fill the glass with the juice. Listen, if you are going to sell orange juice, put whatever price you want, I decide if I buy it or not. What is not nice is trying to trick customers selling diluted juices (with water and then further with ice). Felt extremely disappointed, especially after asking for the exchange and realizing indeed it was the restaurant who was at fault and tried to sell that to people. If I dont complain, I have to pay bad quality? It is the image I got of the place now. Not sure I would recommend.

The atmosphere was super chill, perfect for hanging out with friends or family. The drinks were on point, with plenty of options to choose from. But what really made our visit stand out were the awesome staff members, Teta and Tyler. They were beyond friendly and made us feel totally at home. If you're looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy some good company, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back, and we can't recommend it enough! 🫶🏻

Very nice café with delicious food and a very nice co-working area.

My girlfriend and I visited Blumental in Berlin yesterday, and it was amazing! The food was delicious, served quickly, and at the perfect temperature. The service was warm and engaging, making us feel comfortable even though we don’t speak German. A big thanks to Teta and Tyler for their outstanding help and friendliness. We can’t wait to return!❤️

We had a very tasty lunch and coffee. The stuff was very friendly. There was a pleasant and specious interior. It was a bit loud, I wish the music would be quieter.

Super delicious veggie and vegan dishes! Everything very transparent and clean. We had the BBQ Fantastico and the TurkishEggs... everything was very finely coordinated. The drinks are incredibly tasty and our own creations bring a breath of fresh air to the drinks menu. The staff is very friendly and speaks mostly English, which is standard in Berlin. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I found the price performance to be reasonable. You get full and leave the restaurant happy and tipsy. Toilets...MEGA! Only recommended! We'll be back!

Everything about this place was perfect except the food. The place was spacy with high ceilings. Lots of funky furniture. The visuals of the food and drinks were good. The bathroom was intriguing and quite fun to use. However, the food was meh. I ordered the pink pancake and the lavender drink. The pancake itself was bland. However, on top of that, they had sour cherry sauce which tasted too sour, but most importantly, did not go along with the pancake. The cream that came with it was good, and that was the only thing that made the pancake taste okay. The drink was something I will never order in my life again. It tasted like a recipe from failed experiments.

Excellent for a Sunday brunch. You can reserve but what I liked is that the place is very spacious so you are comfortable. There are vegan options. The food is very delicious but a little expensive. Excellent service.

I would give it 10 stars out of 5 if I could - exceptional service, delicious food and even amazing variety! I haven’t seen such a complete and comprehensive menu. As a lifelong vegetarian, their food is amazing! Eric, Fiona and Sunny provided great service and I will keep coming here whenever I am in Berlin! Keep up the great work team Blumental!

Gorgeous interior and perfect place to cowork. Just a note: You can only co-work until 6 pm, so if you have to take night time meetings, this isn’t the place. But otherwise a wonderful place to work from: coffee is great, staff is lovely, space is beautiful!

The best place to have breakfast in the area. Good quality of ingredients, prices slightly higher than other places in the area but worth it. We had a Turkish egg and a porridge. Very nice atmosphere, you order directly with QR code, fast service.

This was my third time in Blumental. What was new for me this time was that ordering and paying was only possible via a QR code at the table. I find this a strange concept, even though I have experienced the solution several times in the catering industry. It doesn't make sense to me why I should still go to a restaurant when I order my food here like in an ordering app and the service is really reduced to the minimum. In my opinion, the prices in Blumental are quite fair. Unfortunately, you can also notice the price pressure in the catering industry here, as the sourdough bread is no longer toasted in olive oil, but rather in rapeseed oil. Unfortunately it doesn't taste that good. All complaining at a high level, because otherwise I really like the concept of co-working and the many vegan options on the menu!

So fantastic! Get all the things! Especially the overnight oats! Love the creativity that is expressed in every nook and cranny.

This place is super cute, and I really loved their mocktails! The only downside is that you can't have your laptop out in the general area, but they have a study and work corner if you want to work on your laptop.

Beautiful cafe-restaurant, with an amazing, full of light interior. The food is all vegetarian and vegan and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions and the taste. Definitely recommending Amore Ajvar. The only downside was the service. On a busy Friday night, there were only two waiters for the entire venue. One waiter was smiling and helpful, however mostly on bartender duty. The other waitress had a really impolite attitude, huffing at every question or request, ignoring not just us, but also other guests. While it is understandable they were understaffed and things took longer, this behavior left a really bad impression. Cards accepted.

service Both the order and the payment took forever. We paid at the counter because no one came. Eat The food was good and harmonious, but even then the food had been sitting on the counter ready to be served for a while... it just wasn't served and took a while. cleanliness We sat at a dirty table and the floor and toilets appeared unkempt. Conclusion The food was really tasty, the ambience was harmonious, but the service and cleanliness were not up to par. It looked like a canteen and was a little too expensive for that.

We reserved a table at 11 a.m. and when we arrived there was a line stretching out into the street. When I went in (because I thought there were probably people who hadn't made a reservation) I and none of the people waiting there even looked at me, let alone showed any interest or concern. After standing around for 8 minutes, I asked the others waiting if they had already been spoken to, only to find out that EVERYONE had reserved and had been waiting for a while and no one had actually approached them. Given that you only have an hour to have brunch from the start, the system doesn't work at all. Meanwhile, a couple came in who knew the waiter and were immediately brought to a table without waiting and with a "no, we don't have a reservation, but the long line is full." What kind of anti-social behavior is that? (Guy in a pink purple sweater with a blonde girlfriend, I mean you two, you're really at the bottom of the drawer). This showed me that no matter how the food tasted, it wasn't worth waiting. Service is awesome and then friends first? Let's see how long the store lasts. In itself, very nicely decorated and the photos of the food looked good. Good luck.

Loved the spot! Food and service are great. You need a reservation for sure. When I arrived I had to queue to be seated, but only for 5 minutes. Only thing that I find not ideal is that there is a lot of smell due to the kitchen being open.

If you care about food and have a sense of taste, don’t go there. The food is really disappointing. All plates have boiled eggs, bread was not fresh, and coffee was watery. We didn’t finish our plates. However the atmosphere is good and the place has plenty of space.

The meal was good but not necessarily worth the price (3 small pancakes for 12 euros, 4.90 euros for an apple juice which didn't really have much flavor). The order is made via a QR code which is easy, but we had to pay online by card. Not everyone wants to give out their credit card information on just any online site. No possibility of paying by cash either. The experience is good in itself, but these different points are a shame and do not make you want to go back.

We had to wait 10 minutes before we could speak to someone to sit down. We then ordered without any further contact using the QR code and were asked to give a tip straight away. Then we waited 30 minutes for drinks, one meal came after 40 minutes, the other two took almost an hour. The quality and appearance of the food was very good, but unfortunately the taste was very bland and the portions were not appropriate for the high prices. The Nitrobrew with grapefruit is recommended. Overall, we are unfortunately disappointed and will not be coming back again.

So the place itself is very cool, it's a self service system. I really like that in itself. In the back half it is a coworking space and generally quite expensive. I have to say I found the “smashed potatoes” disappointing. In our case they weren't "smashed", but simply boiled potatoes... - something was definitely promised that wasn't kept. Otherwise it was a nice and nice atmosphere.

It's not an issue if laptops aren't wanted on the weekend, but staring at people for 10 minutes and not saying anything until the order is there was really unpleasant. A sign at the entrance or a note on the map would have helped everyone involved.

New fav place! My food was FANTASTIC- I devoured it in 10 minutes. I also got the lemon and thyme fizzy drink and it was so refreshing. The space is super open and airy and there’s TONS of room. super easy ordering process with a QR code and prepayment, so you can leave as soon as you’re ready. 10/10 I can’t wait to come back here all the time!

The food (beside the tasteless kimchi) was tasty and nicely arranged. Unfortunately our dishes were served at completely different times so that my dish was cold until my friends got their food as well. On top of that, some waiters were quite unfriendly/ arrogant. Also we had to get our cutlery by ourselves at the bar. We had to wait also quite long for our cocktails..

Good food, although a bit pricey - especially as you order, pay and clean the tables yourself (it’s a nice concept but I’m not doing that over 12€ pancakes). Also most of the dishes weren’t available so we basically had 3 things we could choose from. Service was slow, not really welcoming and we basically figured ourselves out.

We organized our team meeting with 15 people at Blumental and had a great time! The space and the food were awesome and the staff could not have been more accommodating: flexible, kind and generally easy-going. Highly recommend it!
