To the Blockhaus on Börsenplatz. The food is always very good, especially the Rip Eye Mastercut, which is simply delicious. Whether it's the pan-fried vegetables, the goulash soup, or the salad, everything tastes unique. The service that day was wonderfully friendly and quick, as it should be.

I was already very full, but the food was still in front of me. A bowl of French onion soup and a piece of meat that was fried medium rare. The meat was very tender and fresh. The baked potatoes were already out, and instead I got a different type of mashed potatoes based on the waiter's recommendation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We were there today. Ambiance is ok, got a table quickly. One waitress was friendly, the other pointed out to me that I would be blocking the escape route (outside) with the chair... I didn't feel like discussing things, so I sat back to back to the next table. I scanned the menu and ordered the salat americano. Salad came, medium-sized, with an extra sauce jug and a piece of garlic bread... it tasted good but I found the price of €15 for that bit to be excessive. At home I looked at the menu again and noticed that it actually had two turkey steaks... Yep, paid and not received... that could have happened, but the neighboring table with the same order didn't have it either, I know because I looked over after receiving it to compare. I would say bad service, but hey the escape route was clear ;)

Absolutely disappointing. Service completely overwhelmed. Room decorated carelessly and pointlessly. Food carelessly prepared, boring in taste, overcooked. Clear map without the wow effect. Some ready meals. Not recommended for vegetarians.

I opted for an asparagus soup for €6.50 and then for Fillet medallions with vegetables tender beef fillet medallions Potato gratin, fresh seasonal vegetables and teriyaki pepper cream sauce €24.00 decided. Unfortunately, the asparagus soup was only lukewarm and too thick. But the taste is okay. What didn't go well with it was the garlic bread. The vegetables for the main course were not or barely seasoned. The meat was cooked just right. The service staff works as a team and you are served from “all sides”.

We have been regular customers for years and actually eat there once a week. Unfortunately, the current situation is that the portions have been adjusted downwards, but the price has increased. The quality is still good, but you don't get full like before... We won't be coming back after today! Too bad!

It was our first time at the Blick House on the stock exchange and we really enjoyed it. It's a bit smaller than the one in the Westend, but it's also less noisy, which is very pleasant. The food is of the usual quality (we had the filet mignon) only the baked potato could have been larger.

This Block House restaurant was located across from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The menu focused on steak and filet. The salmon and chicken bowl were also good. There was a large salad bar. Our service was super friendly and quick. Block House has three locations in Frankfurt and is almost always a safe bet.

We often visit restaurants of this chain in different cities. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with this restaurant. The filet mignon was very good. But the rest, i.e. baked potato, grilled vegetables and coleslaw, were not good. Friendly service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. We probably won't come back here

Very tasty, use a larger steak next time

A pleasant place, a pleasant atmosphere, very efficient and courteous service. The dishes arrived in the required quantity. The meat was delicious... for us it was perfect. I had entrecote and my wife had filet mignon.

The food was good, but we've had even better food from other restaurants in Berlin, Stuttgart, and Hamburg. The flavor could have been better. The service was very nice; despite the busyness, we were served very well. Edit: @BlockHouse, "room for improvement" doesn't mean the quality. We know how the system works. The statement itself is about what the kitchen crew does with the good product. For us, there was room for improvement here. The steak lacked any roasted flavors. The food, especially the pea pods, quickly went cold. So, unfortunately, it was just an ordinary steak and not a delicious experience.

Very good steaks and super attentive service

Been there twice, forgot how bad it was first time. Worst steaks we ever had. Carpaccio is far away from good. Steaks are blue, no matter what you order medium or well done, it’s just rare, cow is still breathing on your plate. And even if it’s rare for some reason outside lair is burned and tastes like an old frying pan. Meat quality is like eating a rubber boot, chewy. They offer to change your meat saying that they will choose a better cut for you, so by that logic first they serve you a worse cut. 2 times, 4 steaks, all were same, burned taste from outside and rare rubber inside.

I've definitely eaten here at this restaurant 20 times. I used to always be very satisfied. And I always looked forward to a new visit. However, the last 5-6 visits have been a complete disappointment for me personally. You wait an extremely long time for your food. During the last few visits, the meat was extremely mixed and the potatoes were so burnt that they could no longer be eaten with their skins on. I am aware that the meat does not come from the laboratory and is not perfect, no question! As I said, I used to be very satisfied. But if I can only cut off small pieces of my piece of meat and have to cut away 60% of the “meat”, that is not satisfactory for me. It's different to what I'm used to before and I don't think I'll come back again.

We were there with 12 people (be sure to reserve in advance if you are traveling with so many people) and got the food at the same time, even though we had almost all chosen different dishes. Everyone enjoyed it. Gladly again!

They are very expert at their job, this is a place you can't leave without eating meat.

The food is delicious even if the portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller. The store itself can't do anything about that, but thanks to the waitress we'll stay away in the future. Order taken incorrectly, drinks forgotten (it was a different one but the system at BlockHouse is to blame for that) and in the end twisted it so that it wasn't your fault. You can and should own up to your mistakes

Best steaks at fair prices. I can fully recommend Block House. There is also a children's menu without steaks.

Of all three Blockhouse branches in Frankfurt, for me personally the best. It's somehow more comfortable and the staff is very attentive. It seemed very well coordinated, harmonious and professional. The food was perfect, typical Blockhouse... good and solid.

The Block House was a disappointment. The steak (“medium”) was cooked like a shoe sole, the fries were soggy and the salad was limp. Definitely not worth a second visit for the price.

Quality has really deteriorated since recently and the shift manager is also very unfriendly. You just don't feel wanted there.

I usually don't give low marks. We had high expectations and came with a recommendation. We ate the world's smallest and most expensive bruta and drank the goulash. It was like it was served with the kitchen toys my daughter played with when she was 3-4 years old :) The taste is not bad, but we looked for burata with binoculars :) They served hamburgers without using hamburger buns, but it was a comedy. Innovate, but this is not how hamburger presentation is done. My daughter liked the taste, but the presentation was a disaster and deserved a hamburger. Don't say this is our style, it didn't happen. Ketchup was delicious. The meat did not deserve the price we paid. The plates remained on the table for a long time, the services did not change, and there was only one person looking after the area with the most customers. The chef or manager should take care. Meats, burgers....must be studied. Portions must grow. The ambiance is not bad but it should be more American Diner style. Frankfurt was the first place I was not happy with. The beer was good and the toilets were clean. The waiter friend in the picture was struggling alone. He needs someone to help him

Food was great, meat service was okay too, but the ambience is just old

I'm a big fan of Block House Restaurants and especially the American Tenderloin. The high-quality meat as well as baked potatoes and Block House bread always turn out very well in all the Block House restaurant experiences I know of and always deserve 5 stars, even in comparison to chains like Maredo, whose comparable menu combination only deserves 3 stars in my opinion (meat less tender, baked potato drier/harder). The staff in the various Block House restaurants follow the motto “gladly and immediately” seemingly effortlessly and are always friendly and quick. I particularly appreciate the fact that the meat is prepared again immediately without batting an eyelid if the cooking level is not perfect as the guest wishes, which in my experience rarely happens. That was the case 20 years ago and it is still the case today. Only the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities in the Block House Restaurant on Börsenplatz left something to be desired today, which is why there is a star deduction today.

The ambience is nice. The service is nice and attentive. But unfortunately the food isn't entirely convincing. As described, the burger is on the classic garlic baguette without a “lid”. However, I don't see any added value, buns simply make more sense. The cheese tastes like plastic and the meat tastes like nothing. No sauce. The whole burger tastes more like the tomatoes with the bruschetta seasoning, just like the salad we had as an appetizer. The sirloin steak was well cooked and absolutely justified for the price. So recommended for steak. The American “Bistro” not so much.

Update of my review: I was with you again on New Year's Eve and... over €100 spent. What came next is unacceptable! The operations manager came and slapped the bill on the table with the words: That's it for you two and disappeared. I immediately asked another waiter if I had really just experienced that. He went to the operations manager and had to sort it out. After 10 minutes he came and said: Today is stressful, sorry! I tried to explain to him that this is not acceptable. He said I was just finalizing all the bills but the couple next to us were able to pay after us and they didn't have it slapped on the table or simply end the evening. This was my favorite block house in Frankfurt and was a regular but not like that. The staff was actually always friendly. Place is clean & inviting. Prices are also high for these portions. I always enjoyed being with you.

Were there for the first time. Unfortunately we weren't asked how we wanted our steak & unfortunately the deep fryer was broken that evening. Be that as it may, the food was good! Staff was very friendly. Would come visit again.

The oldest block house in Frankfurt. The other two are noticeably more modern and have a more pleasant space. Nevertheless, the food is great as always. The steak was grilled perfectly and the side dishes met the standard. Parking is possible in the parking garage at the stock exchange or Schillerpassage. If you're in the mood for a good piece of meat, you're in good hands here.

We are there every year because we have to travel over 100 kilometers. The food and service were always good. The food was very tasty and the prices were very good. Parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. The atmosphere at the stock exchange is priceless.

Every thing is super except Pull soup

Everyone was very nice except the waitress that "served" me. She seemed to hate customers and her job. Treated customers like dirt. That is very offensive. This is not a cheap restaurant where you would expect people not to have any manners. It's called the "hospitality" industry for a reason. Therefore I would give 0 stars overall if that were possible. And the food was not that great so as to justify the price or give you a reason to tolerate the offensive behaviour.

Quite disappointing, meat nothing special, we waited 40 minutes after ordering, poor quality potatoes, except only the salad. A special mention to the waiters, very efficient and courteous.

It was a male employee, and when I called him, I had to first check to see if other tables were calling, and then take care of all the guests who called later. When I put the food on the table, I threw it down so it made a loud bang and the plate shook. Anyone could see that they were being treated racially. The hamburger patty I ordered just tasted like sausage with a lot of pepper. It was the worst burger I've ever had. The steak tasted too ordinary for the price. Don't ruin your day by going to a place like this.

Good steakhouse in the heart of Frankfurt right in front of the stock exchange. The prices are top value for money for a steakhouse in Ffm. I recommend the Rib-Eye Steak Mastercut, which costs €33.50 without side dishes. Minus points for: No dry-aged meat on the main menu.

As expected, the ambience is timelessly elegant and appears well-kept. The prices are also very fair for Frankfurt standards. Regardless of the prices, my steak managed to significantly exceed expectations. What should be particularly highlighted at this point is the excellent service; in my specific case, big praise goes to Jessica. Although I would consider myself a connoisseur, she added a special finishing touch to my order - thank you very much for that. I will definitely come back soon.

Surprise, Surprise, my wife and have seen this restaurant over three years and at last decided to try. It was the best thing we did because the meal we ordered was delicious in everyway possible. The service was excellent and friendly. I can honestly say, "you won't be disappointed " good appetite.

The steak was cooked perfectly to a medium doneness, with the right color and texture. However, it was completely lacking in flavor—disappointing for a ribeye, which should have some fat and juiciness. It was so bland that I almost felt like adding a sauce just to make it more interesting. The fries and wine were mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the price. On a positive note, the service was good and the staff were friendly. Overall, not a memorable experience.

When I asked, I got the stupid answer: after all, we use floury potatoes, otherwise they'll never be cooked. Ouch Block House, there's still room for improvement Next time Maredo or Bull&Bear, they will take the time to send waxy potatoes and friendly food to the table.

Really highly recommended! In particular, great service/staff! And the food is perfect in terms of price-performance ratio! (My only criticism/suggestion, which has been with Block House for years, would be: introduce a few more types of tea. At least green tea and chamomile etc. (that's so nice from Ronnefeld) and small packs of honey...every/absolutely every place has green tea these days and I always like one after a meal. And limiting yourself to 'white sugar' is also a bit 'backward'. Even in countries like Hungary/Serbia... it's completely normal to have honey and a piece of lemon And it's not HARD to introduce it!)

Perfect customer experience – 5 stars! Last night my wife and I ate at this steakhouse for the first time and it was an absolute highlight. My steak initially wasn't quite as cooked as I would have preferred. After I mentioned this in a friendly manner to the waitress, my concern was immediately addressed in a very professional and customer-oriented manner. Within a very short time, the boss was personally at the table to inquire and make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. Without further ado, a new steak was prepared and brought out. The way in which customer requests are handled here is absolutely exemplary. Both the boss and the kitchen team later asked again whether everything was OK. This service is a prime example of excellent customer care! In the end, the food was excellent and the service was simply top – we felt like we were in good hands from start to finish. For us there are clearly 5 stars: for the food, the friendly service, the attentiveness of the boss and above all the great customer service! We'll definitely be back!

Before Corona, the Block House was known throughout Germany for its consistent quality in all branches. Unfortunately, this has not been the case everywhere recently, so not every location is recommended anymore. However, the visit to the stock exchange was convincing - the high standards were maintained here. The steak was excellently prepared and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a positive experience that shows that some branches still offer the usual Block House quality.

We were able to spontaneously get a table for ourselves in the evening. Very friendly and ultra-fast service staff served us the classic Mr. rump steak and extras in no time. The cooking point was well met and everything tasted as expected. I'm unsure whether the ambience is still contemporary. However, it would certainly be desirable to name the beers on the menu and, in the case of red wines, to serve them in the correct glass.
