ABACCO'S STEAKHOUSE Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main

Yesterday we were here for my husband's birthday to do "something special" on his special day. We had ordered a table at 8 p.m., the note about our birthday was skillfully ignored - a shame. We were looking forward to the starters.... And then it started - the Black Tiger prawns were already sold out at 8.10 (!) p.m.... The carpaccio, which was then brought to the next table, was a mini portion, so my husband decided against a starter. I had a lukewarm Tom Kha Gai soup - a cheek to call a soup that. It had nothing to do with a Tom Kha Gai, it just tasted like lemongrass and chicken.... Maybe it was in there while cooking, but there were 2 mini pieces in it, which together were smaller than a cent piece.... For steaks we had: 1) US Prime Delmondico Rib Eye 400g for EUR 59.90 2) US Prime Tenderloin Filet 200g for EUR 56.90 Plus the potato fries, salad and creamed spinach. The meat was ok, but we found the rib eye almost more tender than the fillet. The salad had hardly any salad dressing and looked rather bland, the spinach didn't excite us at all.... The potato fries were quite hard... This was really not how we imagined the “special meal” would be. When I was paying, the waiter came and said the total was XX... In the past, you didn't have to point out that you wanted to see the bill again before paying... It's a shame, it's a shame, but for the price it was really a NO GO... Which, by the way, was what our neighboring table also saw...

So-so.... I'll start with the positive. The meat is of very good quality and tastes excellent. The staff is friendly, but reaches the limit of attention when the restaurant is full. In such a situation, it is advisable to have the hot stone for your steak changed in good time. Don't wait too long. The home fries are great and can be reordered as often as you want. I can also recommend the truffle butter (can also be reordered free of charge). The garlic breads are also great. Whether you need them with the fries that can be reordered....? But the fact that the coleslaw salad was not available during the cabbage season shouldn't have happened given the price level. The cucumber salad we ordered as an alternative was a disaster in terms of taste. And the fact that there is an unpeeled starting piece in it shows that it is fresh and homemade and I can accept it privately, but not at this price. The garlic butter was layered with herbs but had little flavor. Likewise with the mango curry butter, you have to ask your tongue twice to taste the curry. Regarding wine: No, it is not okay if wines for €79.90 are on the menu but are not in stock. And I write plural here. And the waitress should then actively suggest alternatives or be happy to ask and make recommendations. And very important, given this price level and fluent English, please be able to pronounce the wines correctly. Therefore only 3 stars and room for improvement.

Outstanding steakhouse with exceptional service and quality! We had the pleasure of eating at this steakhouse this evening and all I can say is it was a thoroughly impressive experience! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a cozy and stylish atmosphere. The service (Michael) was first class from the start - attentive but never intrusive, with very good knowledge of the menu. The highlight was of course the steak: perfectly prepared, juicy and of excellent quality. You can immediately tell that only high-quality meat is used here. The selection of side dishes and sauces rounds off the taste experience perfectly! For me it was the perfect evening and I would highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Definitely a restaurant you'll want to visit again and again - 5 stars!

Food really exceptionally good. You can use a hot stone to determine how cooked the steak should be. The meat and the side dishes are very tasty. The dessert was great too. It didn't take very long for the food to arrive either. The ambience there is also very nice, the restaurant is in an old waterworks, expanded and yet in a rustic style. The service was a bit pushy but also very nice and delivered everything quickly and correctly. Yes, it's really expensive, but it's really great as an event.

I had a date that was completely ruined. The plates for grilling were as cold as Alaska after 5 minutes. experience with it. The service was really below par for the price range. When you asked questions you got the feeling of being a parasite and your eyes rolled. Why do you offer all you can fries if the store doesn't want them? I don't understand it, it's a shame about the good money.

Great location. The meat was very tender. I think it's really great that you can finish cooking your meat on the hot stone. The side dishes could have been better. All around a great Steahaus. Definitely worth a visit.

Very bad service! The cellar brought water, but don't pour it out, just leave it there and go away, don't say anything. We ordered or re-ordered food but the waiter always forgot. Keller doesn't pay attention to the customers at all. Food was ok.
