Gennemsigtig bøf restaurant som Jensens Bøfhus. Blev mæt men madoplevelsen var ikke speciel overraskende. Høflig og hurtig betjening og behagelige lokaler.

Ci vado con mia moglie perché l'attiguo locale della Paulaner è chiuso. La delusione passa velocemente. Il locale è intimo e il servizio rapido e gentile. Ottime le weiss alla spina della Erdinger. Proviamo due Bull Soup (brodo di carne con pezzetti di carne ed erbette) niente male, Poi io mi prendo un Putenbrust steaks (bocconcini di tacchino con patate e verdure in salda) molto gustosa e mia moglie una baked potato. Prezzi nella media. E' di fronte alla stazione centrale, uscita sud. Andateci!

Wir (2 Erw. + 1 Kind 11 Jahre) waren hier zum Abendessen zu Besuch. Wir wurden super nett begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch geführt. Unser Kellner war super nett und lustig. Das Essen (wir hatten 2x Filet Mignon und 1x Tenderloin) war superlecker und genau, wie bestellt, gegrillt. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super nett. Service passt und das Essen ist auch ok. Insbesondere die Kindergerichte sind reichlich und vom Preis her mehr als fair. Jederzeit wieder

Block House: When service is faster than appetite The visit to the Block House was... let's say entertaining, although not in a good way. The waitress had apparently activated “speedrun mode”. As soon as she served the drinks she seemed to want to test gravity - if I hadn't intervened, we would have been allowed to drink the water straight from the table. The food wasn't any better: it was catapulted onto the table with such a flourish that I wondered if she had confused it with a Frisbee. She was particularly creative when ordering: “Leave spinach with that?” Of course, that sounded like a nice offer – the fact that it costs extra was charmingly concealed. The same applies to the choice of dessert: “Ice cream with that?” “Yes, please, instead of cream!” – Sure, but please include a surprise price on the bill! Clear away? Lightning fast! My companion hadn't even finished chewing the last bite before the plates were already gone. A service that apparently thought: “Why give customers time when you can set records?” But the real highlight came with the bill. Without batting an eyelid, my companion was informed that when paying by card you could please click on the tip percentage. After such a service? Without smiles, without kindness, without effort? For a moment we thought we were on a hidden camera. Additional costs? Surprise! The spinach leaves that she politely offered me were of course not included. Just like the scoop of ice cream for dessert. But hey, who doesn't like reading their bill with the same thrill as a crime novel? Conclusion: If you like chaotic service and a surprise bill, you've come to the right place. For everyone else: Maybe it's better to eat somewhere else - where the drinks stay, the plates aren't vacuumed away and a smile is included.

It was a place we wanted to experience in Germany. They take it by reservation. But if you don't have a reservation, you can enter if you wait a bit. Prices can be a little expensive. But I recommend it for a pleasant dinner.

On the one hand, the HBF location is ideal, but on the other hand, it's not that great because of the crowd that lives there. Otherwise great, fast friendly service and the food was of the usual quality.

Actually, I just wanted to go to the toilet because there was a police operation at the main station and I had a one-hour bus ride ahead of me. I was shown the way to the toilet as if I were a guest who had made a reservation. This really impressed me because I had never heard of this type of service before. When I came back to the dining area, I decided to have some dinner here when I saw the fresh vegetables that were arranged in a kind of bar and positively dominated the entrance area. I'm currently changing my diet so I ordered meat with vegetables. It tasted delicious! Beef with cooked vegetables (onions, peppers, beans, mushrooms). I can highly recommend this location. The staff are in a good mood and the guests are happy.

En nuestra primera noche en Hamburgo, fuimos directamente al restaurante BLOCK HOUSE en Kirchenallee frente a la estación principal. Nos recibieron muy cálidamente con mal tiempo sin una reserva y nos mostraron a una mesa agradable. El servicio amable y siempre alegre hizo de nuestra estancia en el restaurante una noche exitosa. El filete de filete con patata al horno y el filete especial de grupa irlandesa en el hueso con gratinado de patata - así como las ensaladas de delicatessen que lo acompañan y el pan de ajo tostado - estaban perfectamente a la parrilla (medio a medio raro) y muy sabrosos. Una vez más, todo fue genial aquí: instalaciones de restaurante simples y limpias con comida perfecta y un servicio amable! ¡Nos encantaría volver!

Too full, so we had to wait a long time even though we had reserved. That's why only 3 stars for the service, they are overloaded. The steak was okay but way too expensive. A Rip Eye Steak 350gr on offer for €34 is not appropriate.

The food was really bad. I asked for a well done steak and a raw meat arrived. Even my daughter’s plate arrived as a half plate because they had a problem and they sad we bring you the other half later🤷🏻‍♀️ service was bad until reachibg manager no one even said sorry. I would never go there again.

Unfortunately, making a reservation in this block house doesn't work at all and then you get insulted by the staff there. Absolutely not recommended, you don't have to put up with that.

In this review I only express my opinion and my subjective impression. I give 3 stars overall because of the really good service. Despite the high occupancy in the restaurant, the waiter was on point, friendly and attentive. Among other things, we had 2 turkey breast steaks and - to be honest - the size (I don't even want to say size) is a joke. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo out of shock. The sirloin steak was OK. The turkey steak was really small, 2 really tiny pieces. Well, that was so little. That really doesn't work at all. Then the restaurant also has to include a weight on the menu for the turkey steaks so that everyone knows what to expect. They were also quite thin (a little more than 1 cm maybe), so... They were fried and no longer tender. I gave my 2 pieces to my son so that he had something on his plate. We kindly communicated our criticism by pointing out that he bears no responsibility for it. He wanted to pass it on. As I said, the restaurant was very busy. Our table was near the grill. So it was pretty loud. Thanks for the reply : But we didn't want a second bread, but we could expect a portion of meat that was appropriate and not the size that would fit into a hollow tooth.

We ate on Tuesday, got a table straight away but unfortunately waited forever for the order to be handed in. After the order was placed, the starter arrived a short time later. It had beef tartare (which was unfortunately very carelessly prepared and the few vegetables on the plate had already dried out) and an onion soup, which also tasted very boring. Until then, no sign of the drink! Only after we had finished with the starter and after the plates had been cleared did the drinks finally arrive, unfortunately with damaged glass. The main course came quickly and unfortunately the common thread continued. Fries were cold and soft. The potato gratin was also cold and fatty. Conclusion: We used to go to the Blockhouse several times in the past, but unfortunately the quality has dropped more and more since the last visit. Too bad!

Fast service, inexpensive food with good quality.

The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The meal was a steak with potato gratin and the gratin wasn't worth it at all for that price. Steak overcooked. All in all, there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of food. This mango pepper sauce should be replaced with the tomato pepper sauce but that may be a matter of taste. The service went like this.

Unfortunately, I must have had a stressful evening because the service wasn't that attentive. But I think things can generally be done better and I think we should give the house more chances. The food is what you would expect from the Block House chain and is usually standardized.

Price-performance is right. Food very good. But above all, the service from employee Aleyna was top. We had little time, plus extra requests (photo in front of the door). This could annoy the waitress; not so Aleyna. She was quick, courteous and made everything possible. Thanks!!

Great restaurant from the Blockhaus chain, you can rely on the quality. The phenomenon here in Hamburg is that the service staff are super friendly and accommodating.

The food is not what you would expect from a steakhouse. Ordered medium but well done and received. Roasted flavors not grilled well. So it's not fried hot enough and then left to sit, but rather grilled to death throughout. Any hobby griller can do that better. Good side dishes for that. But I go to a steakhouse for the steaks, not the sides. Ambience old and rustic. But very messy. The service that brought the dirty or clean plates to and from the kitchen using a serving cart was annoying. This extremely loud noise that lasted for several minutes was annoying. Our waitress was the absolute highlight of our visit. Very courteous, emphatic, loving, extremely on the ball and also funny. Thank you to the young at heart lady around 60 with a Portuguese background. It was really nice to be served by you! You saved the evening.

Typical block house. Solid quality. The steaks have become a lot smaller to keep the price down. The decorative writings regarding weight, for example above the kitchen, still show the old steak weights.

The taste of the food was ok... but nothing special. Unfortunately The portion size was really ridiculous. I've never seen turkey steaks smaller. The summer vegetables were 3 small Brussels sprouts, 3 mini carrots and some kohlrabi. Mini... Honestly, an absolute disgrace. Then boasting with a piece of paper on the table that you would even lower some of the prices seems absurd. Unfortunately, a visit is no longer worth it under the circumstances. Too bad. The only bright spot was the great service who has been working there for 30 years. Thanks for that.

What an experience! The menu was an absolute hit: from the starter to the perfectly grilled main course to the dessert creation - everything was simply sensational and coordinated down to the smallest detail. The quality of the meat and the artisanal preparation speak for themselves. A very special thank you goes to our fantastic service, Mr. Ferki Terdevci, who made the evening even more unforgettable. He took the time to explain the special features of the menu and created an extremely welcoming atmosphere with his charming and professional manner. Our every wish was virtually met and we felt well looked after throughout the evening. The Block House in Hamburg is an absolute insider tip for all steak lovers and connoisseurs of good cuisine - I will definitely be coming back soon. We had a lovely meal there yesterday on the occasion of my son's 14th birthday. Everything went smoothly. Beautiful table that we had reserved in advance, super attentive and quick service, super cute birthday surprise + 2 free drinks, food & drinks tiptop 👍 (as always)! Even during the main rush in the evening, everything was loose and fluffy. 💪😅 The toilets without toilet lids seem a bit strange, but this seems to be more of a precaution at the HBF... 🥴 Always happy!!!

We didn't have a reservation but even though they were busy they found a nice little table for us. The food was really good. Had an idea to give them 4 stars but since I really can't find a place where I think they failed, were too slow or something like that. Do I "have" to give 5 stars. Nice experience and worth a visit.

We made a reservation for 6 people here on a Saturday evening (absolutely necessary, otherwise there would be no table). The service (as always) excellent; gladly again. All dishes come at the same time with great quality.

After a quick look at the menu, I spontaneously decided to have lunch there. I was warmly welcomed at the entrance and shown to a beautiful place. Up until then everything was very pleasant. But then the waiter came who was probably responsible for this area. He put two cards in front of me and asked what I would like to drink, even though I hadn't even taken off my jacket yet. I felt rushed. Only when I asked did he give me the lunch menu. After I had ordered I was finally able to relax. I had the impression that it wasn't right that I was "blocking" a table as an individual even though there were enough seats available. The food came quickly and was good. The meat was okay (a little too bloody for my taste), although the waiter didn't even ask how I wanted my steak. I had the feeling that the waiter was constantly watching me when I had finally finished my meal. And as soon as I put down my cutlery he was there to clear it away. When I asked about the dessert menu, he looked strange at first and then brought it to me, again watching me as I studied it. It was too stupid for me and I asked for the invoice, which he promptly gave me. It's nice when waiters are attentive, but if you get the feeling that you should hurry up, eat and then disappear straight away, that's too much of a good thing.

My second visit to this steak house. I had booked a visit to the theater, unfortunately the weather was typical for the north. So I decided to eat something. My order was what I wanted to eat. I was able to choose my seat so I could watch the Westerland changing every minute. Friendly service and the food was served in a reasonable time. The meat was juicy and the baked potatoes were tasty. Somehow everything was pleasant while the weather outside was raging. I took advantage of a break in the rain to get to the theater.

Four of us were at the Block House last night and had a wonderful evening. Although I accidentally reserved the table for the wrong day, we were quickly seated thanks to the friendly lady at reception - she was very accommodating and helpful. I would particularly like to highlight our waiter Ferki Terdevci, who really sweetened our evening with his friendly, humorous and personable service. When he brought us the menus, he immediately noticed that my sister looked very thirsty and he immediately asked what we wanted for drinks. He was also spot on with the timing of the orders. The salad came very quickly and was fresh. When the main course was served, everything was perfect, except that my meat wasn't cooked medium rare, as I had ordered. When I mentioned this, Ferki Terdevci immediately offered to have it refried. In the meantime he brought me a bruschetta so I could pass the time. Shortly afterwards my meat came back - perfectly fried, with a new baked potato and fresh garlic bread. Such attentive and friendly service cannot be taken for granted, and we would therefore like to thank Ferki Terdevci and the entire team. We'll definitely be back!

Very tasty food. I had a New York burger and the service was very nice.

Quite ok. Enjoy with caution. Been here several times and the food is mostly okay. Unfortunately the last 3 times the meat was tough and stringy - not what you expect from a good steak. The desired degree of doneness of the meat is taken into account and the menus are priced in a suitable range. For 250 g of meat, a side dish (baked potato) and salad you pay 28 euros. You should be careful when ordering. Of course, the waiters are happy to suggest additional little things. So I was served extra water on my last visit. I was asked if I wanted the wine carbonated. You can interpret that accordingly, or you will ultimately be surprised by a water that you did not order. The service itself is attentive and quick. Reservations advisable from around 6 p.m. Parking is only possible in the surrounding parking garages.

Not recommended The company has declined massively. Every snack bar is more service-oriented and uses gloves in the kitchen. Unfortunately, this is completely missed here. The way the chefs work is satisfying. No gloves - the food is taken into your bare hand without disinfecting it. First, the counter is wiped with the same rag, the plate is wiped and the hands are rubbed on it, then the fingernails are dug into the flesh. Enjoy your meal - the potatoes can also be slapped onto the plate WITHOUT gloves. Hygiene poor. The service was unfriendly and overwhelmed. The side dishes are pressed from warmed bags. Never again HACCP gloves should be worn when handling ready-to-eat foods

The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive and always strives to make our visit as pleasant as possible. It's just great when you walk into a restaurant where you're greeted by name and the team knows exactly what you like. We would particularly like to highlight Goretti, Maria and Mustafa. Another reason we keep coming back is how child-friendly the restaurant is. Our children are always warmly welcomed and well looked after. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-like, making it easy for us to enjoy a lovely evening while the children are happily occupied. The steaks are of course also a highlight – always perfectly prepared and of the highest quality. For us, there is no better place in Hamburg to enjoy good food in a warm and welcoming environment. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can warmly recommend the Block House Kirchenallee to everyone!

First to this great woman who hosted us. What a bundle of energy. Fast, hard-working, with good tips on eating. Their very people-friendly, good-natured nature is extremely rare. She is very committed and has a very good overview despite many guests. Her refreshing southern personality is simply enchanting. Thank you very much, Ms Goretti! To eat. The Arctic shrimps are by no means recommended! Carelessly poured out onto a corresponding plate with very dry tasting brown bread, it was the worst appetizer I have ever eaten. I also made this known to our extremely friendly and understanding service. Her recommendation to add mushrooms with onions to the sirloin steak was first-class. Visited in September 2024. I ordered steak from the dinner prime menu and enjoyed it medium (basically, as the staff member told me). It tasted better than expected, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I also liked the humor of the staff. It was good inside the restaurant, but next time I plan to sit at an open-air table outside.

Very friendly and polite service. My steak was excellent and grilled to my liking. Unfortunately the negative thing about the evening was the team leader (Yvonne) who was dressed in black!! She behaved in an impossible way. She was very aggressive and extremely rude!! One star goes to Ms. Yvonne!

So what defines lonely food? What I was served today was not quite what I define as food. Got a burger with only half a bun, no dressing and a steak that was closer to an ice hockey puck than food. On the side, there were baked fries that were 100% from McDonald's or of the same quality. We also got a white wine which we expect is in an ice bucket it was not and when we asked about ice in the bucket they argued and were offended. Only a great place, however, service and food are not in the same form as the room.
