We ordered fish & chips for €12.90. We were sick for hours afterwards! The fries were ok but the fish! These were 7 gray-brown dumplings that looked and tasted ancient. They were watery inside and any fish stick would have been ten times better than these thawed breaded dumplings. There was also a dollop of tartar sauce. No lettuce leaf, no tomato slice or anything like that - nothing. I hope that this criticism leads to improvements.

Top fish sandwiches and a nice staff are at the start! It's always worth a visit in Duhnen, we'd love to come back!👍🏻🙏🏻

We had dinner there yesterday on August 24th with four people. Three people were not feeling well (vomiting and diarrhea). Food not recommended. Everyone would rather go to eat in Sahlenburg at the SAME RESTAURANT, much better and RECOMMENDED. Neighboring table were regular customers who complained on site.

Was only there for breakfast. Friendly and great service. Breakfast very good.

This is self-service. The food was very good and tasty, the portions were large. The atmosphere is cozy, but it might be too cold in the rain and cooler temperatures. The service when ordering was friendly and flexible with requests for changes. If the weather holds, we will come back.

I agree with Ms. Bartsch's assessment. I am so disappointed with the fried fish that was fried for far too long and was just dry inside. I was so happy to get delicious fried fish here again - we often went to Blauths on vacation 2 years ago because of the delicious fried fish - and this time I was so disappointed. Unfortunately it's not worth the money. Unfortunately not a second time on this vacation. A pity.

The vegan burger tasted boring. But that could also have been because some ingredients were missing from the menu and a lot of other ingredients were saved. The staff was nice, but didn't seem to fully understand what I meant when I had a question. According to someone I know, the Chilli Cheese Burger was okay. For 12 euros a burger, I think you can expect a little more, even in a tourist area. Still, it's nice that vegan burgers are offered.

We were so disappointed when we ate our obligatory fried fish rolls 🙁🙁🙁We have been on vacation in Cuxhaven for about 5 years and always got the fried fish rolls there and enjoyed them!!!! This time, the roll was NOT baked properly/finished and the fish was baked/fried way too CROSSY, the inside of the fish was so DRY/HARD🙁🙁🙁 Then pay an EXTRA €1 for the remoulade 🙁🙁🙁 We won't get fried fish rolls THERE anymore!!!!! We enjoyed going to Blauths... We got fried fish rolls somewhere else and DID NOT pay extra for remoulade there and the fried fish roll WAS so DELICIOUS 😋😋😋😋😋

Unfortunately disappointing, also for the child. Initially we went to an externally appealing location. Price and self-service differ, and the culinary service provided is in the lower segment. You have so much potential, why isn't it being used? If the dough around the fried fish is dripping with fat and the inside has already lost almost all of its moisture, something is wrong with the preparation. Even my relatively undemanding offspring hardly ate anything from their children's box. You will get another chance in the next quarter, until then please reconsider your quality.

Unfortunately the fish sandwiches didn't convince us. We had a crab roll, herring roll and fried herring. First of all, these are cheap baked or industrial rolls. We didn't like these at all. The crabs just tasted watery and the amount of fried herring was a joke. The crab roll was missing both butter and sauce. The matjes was okay, but not a hit either. We definitely won't come here again. Unfortunately the quality wasn't right for the price.

Nice ambience but below average food. Frito Misto are fried for too long, the fish plate is bland and not very tasty. There aren't even a handful of fries in the children's menu. Collecting and clearing up is left to the guest. The plate drop-off is totally messy, even though the employees have nothing to do. We'd rather eat somewhere else for the money.

Perfect tourist site. If you want to try traditional sandwiches in a nice place, this is the place.

outrageous prices and small portions. Fried fish and fish cake didn't even have roulade. This will be charged an extra euro. At some point it becomes impertinent. Service reacts rudely when asked. Radler was not cold, but at room temperature.

The vegetarian burger was quite tasty, but it didn't have all the ingredients that were on the menu. I also got the homemade lemonade warm because I ran out of ice cubes. The table was also dirty. It was okay, but I wouldn't come back. It was simply too expensive for that.

Self-service applies here. You go to the counter, order drinks and food, take the drinks with you and sit down. When the food is ready, the thing on the table rings (I have no idea what they call it). You go to the counter and get your food. Cutlery is already on the tables. They have a wide variety of food. We had to wait a bit for our food as everything is freshly prepared. It's nice to wait😉 It was super tasty and not as expensive as some others here. Since we were here for the European Championships, you could also watch the games live inside. It's very small inside but the fully covered outdoor area with windows on the sides is large and very comfortable. The ambience is great and everything is coordinated with a lot of attention to detail. The staff is very nice and open-minded. All I can say is that you should eat here.

We ordered fish and chips. The fries were good, the fish was a 4-. Very carelessly prepared, not even a small side salad and then more than €15 for such a tiny portion? We're eating somewhere else now...

Vegan burger and vegan potato waffle are very tasty, the latter is reminiscent of hearty potato pancakes. The mostly listless-looking thing Staff were overwhelmed with our order - a main course and the price of the fries were wrong, which fortunately we noticed on the receipt before preparation began. We got the money refunded without any problem. The interior of the restaurant looked like a normal restaurant, but you had to place your order at the counter, pay in advance and then pick it up yourself. However, this was not communicated; the information was available upon request.

Ate here three times within five days - received friendly service and food three times. Fried fish and herring in a roll are super delicious. Prices completely okay. Definitely come back on your next Cuxhaven vacation!

We have now eaten at Blauths three times. The price-performance ratio is right. The food was always very tasty and the portions were large enough to fill you up. Friendly staff. 👍 we would love to come back.

We just had dinner there. Obviously there are not shrimps for all guests. I was told “we don’t have it there”, then when we were eating prawns were being prepared for other guests. The burger I then ordered was half the size of the one at the snack bar around the corner at home. This consists of unfinished white bread, a meatball, a bit of lettuce and a tomato. Furthermore, the staff didn't feel like working. I don't recommend eating there.

I looked at all the reviews. And I was so convinced of it and went there myself. For 16.90 euros, I had to order a large fried fish with fries at the counter and get my own food. Ridiculous is what I say. In terms of taste, it only tasted like water. Breading not even spicy. In Dorum I get better quality from the competition and definitely cheaper at around 7 euros. And the portions are significantly larger than the competition and taste better too. I'm never coming back.

There are delicious fish sandwiches here and the Aperol Spritz also tastes very enchanting. The outdoor terrace is covered and has radiant heaters, which make a stay in rain or bad weather an experience. The toilets, which are very well maintained and clean, are also a highlight. Be careful when washing your hands in the men's room. The water is very hot.

Best fried fish in Duhnen. Very tasty food. Absolutely average price for the region. A must for us on every holiday Updated June 2024: unfortunately the service has deteriorated extremely (!!!) since last year. The employees are so unfriendly and annoyed, both with one another and with the guests. Fortunately, I have rarely experienced anything like that. It's a shame but it's no longer an option for us.

For vegans: This is one of the few restaurants in Cuxhaven that offers vegan dishes. The menu includes a vegan burger and vegan potato waffles. Unfortunately the potato waffles were out, although I would have liked to try them. The burger was quite tasty, but there is still room for improvement. The fries, however, were great.

Matjes roll was very well topped 😀and the roll was crispy, the price was like that of other providers nearby!! The ambience was very nice, you felt like you were in good hands...Nice service...What bothered me personally was that one of the servers took a shrimp roll out of the fridge, that's fine! But she picked up the crabs that had fallen out beforehand without a glove and pressed them into the bun!!! The hair was straightened beforehand, and there was no disinfection of the hands before or after! Then a wipe on the apron! I only noticed it because crabs were charged according to the daily price!...was curious....The roll cost the customer €14!...The customer didn't say anything, but her facial expression was very questioning!...Perhaps Use tongs or gloves the next time you serve it! Otherwise... I will still enjoy eating your herring roll!...

The food was ok. The waitress had her back to the counter and was very busy with her cell phone. After about 5 minutes we were noticed. The friendliness could be intensified a bit. However, last year and the year before last we were very satisfied.

Nice ambience. Please remember to bring a jacket or sweater on cold days despite the heater. Food was good and large portion. Unfortunately the service was a bit boring.

We were lucky and the weather cooperated. So it wasn't a problem to eat under the canopy. We can absolutely recommend Blauths. Very tasty food that was prepared quickly. We were once very excited, but unfortunately that was a year ago. Bad and unfriendly service today, the herring roll was soggy and unfortunately the prices are out of proportion.

The menu promises housewife-style matjes. Instead of a cream sauce with cucumber and apples, you get an oversized dollop of mayonnaise. The fried potatoes and the matjes were acceptable, the portion would not have satisfied a really hungry holidaymaker. In the middle of eating we were showered with last night's rainwater through the awning that suddenly retracted.

Not recommendable. Fish & chips for €11.90, tasted good but the portion was very small for the price. Matjes with fried potatoes and according to the menu there was supposed to be a tartar sauce, but it was really very bad potato salad. It didn't taste good at all, it was definitely bought and not homemade. We were sitting outside and suddenly the awning was raised and the water that had collected on it from the rain completely covered another guest. We had to jump up and look for a new place. The poor lady who had to continue her lunch completely wet! And then the operator shouted “it’s just water!”. First, get the guests completely wet, that will definitely make them happy!

My 2 year old daughter has celiac disease, so we thought that a potato waffle that was gluten free and they were advertising it was just the thing. Because of her age, she doesn't need any lavish side dishes. So we asked for one without topping. The waitress said of course, the man in the background became unfriendly and complained, it wouldn't work without it. I said, why should I order something for my daughter who doesn't eat it? Especially those who know the ropes know how difficult it is to get something to eat as a celiac. Then suddenly it worked, but he charged €6 for a simple small potato waffle. I find it very lush. Unfortunately, as I was walking, I also saw that the rolls were being cut open with the toppings and that the lady didn't wash her hands afterwards and ended up in the salad.

Positive: The fried fish roll with Remo was really tasty. Negatively, I wonder why such a small piece of fish with a ready-made roll has to cost 6.50 euros, I know the purchase prices, no restaurateur can justify that, the waiting time for such a roll was also extremely long!

My wife has celiac disease and on the menu the waffles were advertised as gluten free. When asked on site, it suddenly said: yes, no. Not all of them are gluten free. I then decided on two waffles with smoked salmon. While preparing it, I could see how people were working with rolls (gluten) at the same time. Despite the bad aftertaste, my wife probably didn't get anything. Price performance for the waffle with lots of salmon was completely ok.

Waren im Blauth‘s in Sahlenburg Waren zu fünft. Es passte alles: Essen, Service. Dazu den Weltbesten Sonnenuntergang. Sind bei einige Cocktails länger geblieben als geplant. Gerne wieder. Danke für den Abend.

Blauths is a small street food restaurant with burgers, fresh rolls, cocktails, etc. You order at the house and get a station. As soon as it vibrates you can collect your food. So there are no waitresses here. The seating takes a little getting used to, but is quite comfortable. The waiting time for my burger was very short and the quality wasn't bad for such a small restaurant. The brioche buns could be a little firmer and a wooden skewer would be nice so that the burger doesn't fall apart when cutting. The barbecue sauce didn't really taste smoky, but overall the burger wasn't bad for the price. For a quick bite you absolutely can't go wrong here.

The location is great on the promenade, but unfortunately the service wasn't very attentive. The food was okay, but I personally found it lacking a bit of pizzazz and attention to detail. But that is only subjective.

We had lunch here and were totally thrilled. The food was lovingly prepared, the fries were crispy, and the service was very, very friendly. And we could look out to the sea and had free Wi-Fi. We will be back definitely Grade 1+

Nice covered beer garden with heating... We are here at the turn of the year and enjoy going here... Draft beer and snacks are very good... I can't say anything about the kitchen, but the dishes looked very appealing. We will be back

Positive: the crab roll was richly topped and very fresh… Negative: a dollop of garlic sauce is charged extra, the sea cone was only frozen and very sparse, not even a lettuce leaf for decoration. Service was difficult because there were unfortunately language barriers. Very impolite… Won't eat there again, there's no price-performance ratio.

The fried fish had a lot of fatty breading and was relatively tasteless.

Small, cozy location with a good selection of fish. The heat lamps kept us outside. At the time of the visit everything was tidy.

You can eat outside and inside. The fish sandwiches are tasty. The price-performance ratio is good.

Good snack in a central location. The covered outdoor area can also be used well in winter. Eating in the outdoor area as self-service, the employee at the service seemed listless and didn't make any active suggestions when the requested dish was unfortunately not available, small extra requests were only fulfilled after consultation. Portion size was OK.

The shop is small but cozy. You can sit both outside and inside. The food selection is great, there is something for every taste. Price-performance ratio is also great. Fish is super fresh and appealing. The only small point of criticism is that the return table is in the middle of the store and is much too small and therefore doesn't look very attractive. Tables outside could be wiped down occasionally and new cutlery refilled.

Eigentlich hatte ich mich in meiner Woche Nordsee durch die verschiedenen Lokale essen wollen, bin aber dann gleich am ersten Abend dem Blauths verfallen - leckeres Essen, sehr freundliches Team, und schöner Blick auf Deich und Meer. Gekocht wird frisch und mit guten Zutaten - und das schmeckt man.

Hallo liebes Team von blauths, wieder einmal sind wir wie in den Jahren zuvor während unserer Herbstferien in Duhnen und wie in den Jahren zuvor, Essen bei blauths. Leider ist von dem tollen Eindruck aus den Vorjahren nicht mehr viel übrig. Die Tische waren dreckig, keine Servierten an den Tischen, fehlendes Besteck usw. Beim Abstellplatz vom Geschirr stapelt es sich ohne Ende. Das Personal fühlt sich nicht zuständig, es wird lieber untereinander gequatscht, anstelle sich um die offensichtlichen Dinge zu kümmern. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt nach meiner Meinung ebenfalls nicht mehr. Bei jedem Besuch sehen die Gerichte unterschiedlich aus und auch die Mengen je Portion variieren stark. Aus normalen Portionen werden Kinderportionen. Der Wunsch nach Bratkartoffeln anstelle von Pommes sollte mit zwei Euro extra berechnet werden. Dazu ist es aber nicht gekommen, da die Bratkartoffeln angeblich ausverkauft gewesen sind. Meiner persönlichen Meinung nach, hatte der Koch keine Lust welche zuzubereiten - aber wie gesagt, dass ist meine persönliche Meinung. Man wollte dann doch lieber zusammen am Stehtisch stehen und über Gäste lästern. Tja schade, wir werden dort so schnell nicht wieder hingehen. Vielleicht liest ja der Chef oder der Inhaber diese Rezension. Wenn es mein Geschäft wäre, würde ich die angesprochenen Punkte wissen wollen, damit man entsprechend gegensteuern kann, denn aus einigen anderen Rezensionen ist ersichtlich, dass ich mit meinem Eindruck nicht alleine bin. Personal unfreundlich und unmotiviert Tintenfischpanade viel zu dunkel Tische nicht abgeräumt und nicht abgewischt

Ich hatte ein Backfischbrötchen für stolze 6€. Das Brötchen war sehr pappig und es war nichts weiter drauf als der Backfisch(Der außerdem sehr salzig war). Keine Remoulade oder sonst was. Schlechtestes Fischbrötchen was ich je gegessen habe.

Waren heute Abend zum ersten und letzten Mal hier zum Essen. Das Essen war allerdings schmackhaft und reichlich. Allerdings kostet der schmuddelige Tisch und das nicht gerade freundliche Personal Sterne. Ebenfalls musste ich mein Besteck selber holen und an dem Abstelltisch stapelte sich das schmutzige Geschirr. Wie gesagt, einmal und nicht wieder.

Preisleistungsverältnis ist sehr gut. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und schmeckt hervorragend. 👍👍kann ich nur empfehlen.

Ja Selbstbedienung. Fisch und Bratkartoffeln gut zubereitet. Der Preis war günstig. Im Freien sitzen mit ordentlicher Bestuhlung mit stabilen Tischen.

Finger weg vom Backfischbrötchen: sehr fettig, sehr trocken. Krabbenbrötchen lecker, abernur mir Remoulade.

Wir können uns nur anschließen. Dreckig und klebrig. Geschirrwagen überfüllt. Geschmacklich lala.Wir konnten live jede Zigarettenpause und jedes Privatgespräch des Personals mitbekommen. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen aber damit rechnet wahrscheinlich sowieso niemand. Schade, da es von außen ganz einladend wirkte.

An sich ein schönes Resturant. Jedoch ist das Personal komplett überfordert. Tische sind dreckig, kleben, werden beim Gästewechsel nicht abgewischt. Der Geschirrrückgabewagen ist komplett überfüllt. Besteck wird nicht nachgefüllt und Servietten gibt es keine. Preis-Leistung ist ok, die Portionen könnten jedoch größer sein.

Leider Selbstbedienung und Ambiente nicht zu vergleichen mit dem Blauths in Sahlenburg. Essen gut und zum Teil auch mal etwas anderes auf der Karte.

Ich hatte die Meerestüte. Verschiedene frittierte Fischhappen für 9.90 Euro. Leider fand ich es überhaupt nicht gut. Das Essen hat vor Fett getrieft, war überhaupt nicht knusprig und hatte teilweise eine Konsistenz wie Gummi. Zudem war es sehr teuer und sehr wenig. Ich kann das Restaurant nicht empfehlen!

Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, frischer Fisch, TOP Speisen, einfach vorzüglich! Können wir absolut empfehlen. Bei unbeantworteten Fragen, kam der Chef persönlich um die besten Empfehlungen zu geben. ☺️ Jederzeit wieder ☺️

In diesem Lokal ist Selbstbedienung. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker. Wir waren dieses zum zweiten Mal hier essen. Leider war diesmal nicht sauber. Die Tische (zumindest im Innenbereich) waren nicht abgewischt und Essensreste lagen herum.

Dreckige und klebrige Tische, für Fastfood und self-Service auf dem oberen Ende der Preisskala dafür kosten Ketchup und Majo extra. Es wurde aber auch nicht gefragt, ob man etwas dazu haben möchte.

Super leckeres Essen und eine absolute Empfehlung für Fischbrötchen in Duhnen (Cuxhaven)!!!

Es ist sehr schön nur leider muss man sich selbst bedienen aber dafür hat das Essen entschädigt war super lecker danach noch was trinken und ein bisschen relaxen war super.

Hatte Fish und Chips bestellt, die Pommes gab es in einem Drahtkorb, der Fish war wie Fish Nuggets, wurde auf Teller ohne Besteck serviert , Besteck wäre in den Kästen auf dem Tisch, die Kästen sollten öfter mal kontrolliert werden ob noch alles in ausreichender Anzahl enthalten ist und man sich nicht das passende zusammen suchen muß, ich hatte auf drei verschiedenen Tischen in den Kästen nach einer Gabel gesucht und wurde dann am vierten Tisch fündig.

Diese Kartoffelwaffeln sind echt der Hammer. Sowas von lecker. Jedenfalls die vegane Variante und die nordische. Die veganen Burger sind ok, aber ich würde die Kartoffelwaffeln definitiv vorziehen.

Nettes kleines Lokal mitten in Duhnen um mal eben ein Fischbrötchen zu vernaschen! Sehr frischer Fisch/Krabben und sehr lekka! Kann ich empfehlen! Schaut ruhig mal rein wenn ihr in Duhnen seid!

Sehr schönes Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen meine Sohn hatte die Kinder box war sehr lecker sagt er meine Frau hatte denn Fischburger und sie fand denn sehr schön und lecker zubereitet und ich hatte denn chilli cheese burger MIT extra jalapeño und ich esse gerne scharf aber da wäre ich fast an meine Grenzen gekommen aber trotzalle dem war es sehr lecker und sollte ich mal wieder hier sein werde ich wird hier her gehen Zum Abschluss einfach mega lecker mit einer kleine aber leckeren Auswahl auf der Speicherkarte Für jeden zu empfehlen

Bei der Bestellung hatte die Bedienung wohl nicht verstanden das ich zwei Currywürste einmal mit Brötchen und einmal mit Pommes wollte. Es fehlte dann die zweite Currywurst. Auf meine Nachfrage wurde dann noch mal in der Kasse meine Bestellung von einem sehr bemühten jungen Mann überprüft. Nur einmal Wurst mit Pommes war gebucht und bezahlt worden. Vielen Dank, so weit alles ok. Doch dann lästerte der ältere Kollege hinter dem Tresen lauthals über mich „Currywurst Heulsuse“ usw. der jüngere Kollege wurde für sein freundliches Verhalten mir gegenüber sogar beschimpft. Ein unmögliches und kundenunfreundliches Verhalten. Wir werden dieses Lokal nicht mehr betreten.

Freundliches Personla im Self Service, aber die Tische total verklebt, das Besteck in den Körben auf den Tischen fleckig. Das Essen war vernünftiger Standard, für die Preise aber auch arg teuer ohne das durch besonderen Geschmack, Pfiff oder sonstige unerwartete Leistungen aufzuwiegen.

Nettes kleines Bistro, direkt in der Fußgängerzone von Duhnen, das neben Fischbrötchen auch einfache und kreative Fingerfood Gerichte auf der Karte hat. Ich hatte Fish & Chips die frisch, schnell und lecker zubereitet wurden. Sympathischer Betreiber mit einem jungen, gut eingespieltem Team. Essen und Service daher Top, ebenso wie das moderne Ambiente. Preis/Leistung der heutigen Zeit angemessen und nicht überteuert, wenn man bedenkt das man sich direkt im Tourismus-Hotspot befindet. Immer wieder einen Besuch wert!

Bester Backfisch!! wir haben mehrfach das Backfischbrötchen gegessen, einfach nur lecker. Preis ist so wie überall.

Leider sind wir enttäuscht vom Service und dem Preisleistungsverhältnis im Blauths. Wir haben in unserem Urlaub 2x Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt, 2x wurde es zum Verzehr vor Ort angerichtet. Mehreren Gästen vor uns ging es genauso. Ständig wurde Essen wieder umgepackt. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten ziemlich überfordert und waren teilweise unfreundlich. Currywurst mit Pommes für 9,50 € stehen in keinem Verhältnis. Die Portion ist für den Preis viel zu klein. Geschmacklich aber in Ordnung. Das Matjesbrötchen war auch ok, aber insgesamt hat die Qualität dort wirklich nachgelassen. Sehr schade, denn wir sind sonst immer gern dort hingegangen.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Blauths und hatten innen einen sehr schönen Ecktisch mit tollem Blick auf das Meer. Der Service war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. Die Auswahl war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich, das Essen passte (Kartoffelwaffel Meereszeit und Dreierlei Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln) und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war absolut angemessen. Klare Empfehlung von uns! Wir kommen gerne wieder!
