Super leckeres Essen. Service ist sehr freundlich. Entspannte Atmosphäre mitten im Herzen von Kalk. Schöner Außenbereich mit Spielplatz nebenan.

Das Essen war top. Unscheinbares Lokal mit auch deutschem Essen toll, Servicepersonal einfach Klasse. War mit meiner Freundin aus dem Norden hier, da wir keine Lust auf Kebab echt hatte, waren total überrascht. Gern wieder Danke

Wir hatten dieses kleine Restaurant zufällig entdeckt. Die Speisekarte bietet vielerlei leckere Speisen und Desserts. Genau, wie wir es lieben❣️ Das Essen war absolut köstlich. Alles war stimmig abgeschmeckt, so dass es ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis war, es zu genießen. Auch das Dessert war ein kleiner, aber feiner Gaumenschmaus! Der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Alles in allem waren wir total begeistert und kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben spontan uns für ein Abendessen entschieden und sind richtig begeistert von den leckeren Gerichten und der freundlichen Bedienung.

Ich war das erste Mal da und war sehr überrascht aber positiv. Wer nicht viel Schnickschnack braucht wird sich hier auf jeden Fall wohlfühlen. Wir waren zu 6 da und es wurden direkt zwei Tische zusammen gestellt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nett und das Essen war mega gut. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen 👍

Dieses Restaurant ist sehr schön. Die Speisekarte ist sehr lecker, die Atmosphäre typisch und ruhig. Der Kellner war sehr höflich. Eine wirklich gute Wahl fürs Abendessen. Ich war vor zwei Jahren schon einmal in diesem Restaurant und der Service ist immer noch hervorragend.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut! Auch im Restaurant kann man sich definitiv wohlfühlen. Einzig der Service wirkte unterbesetzt und dadurch überfordert. Das war sehr schade. Wiederholung trotzdem nicht ausgeschlossen!

Der Laden ist sehr stilvoll und dezent eingerichtet, der Herr im Service so ausgesprochen sympathisch und das Essen so unfassbar lecker, dass wir regelrecht begeistert waren. Das alles zu Preisen, die es in Köln so kaum mehr gibt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Der Blaue König ist über die letzten Jahre eine feste Adresse geworden wenn das Essen einmal außer Haus stattfinden soll. Die Speisen sind durch die Bank köstlich und preislich absolut vertretbar. Ohne Einschränkung zu empfehlen.

Alles gut, Leckeres Essen, Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis passt. Sind aber nicht so viele Plätze somit je nach Uhrzeit, könnte es sein dass man warten muss.

Wir waren zu 4. für ein Konzert in Köln und haben nach einen Lokal für ein gutes Abendessen gesucht. Die Bewertungen sind alle untertrieben😊 Dieses Lokal verdient viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit.. Essen, Bedienung alles unglaublich gut. Egal ob Vorspeisen oder Hauptgerichte.. Sehr lecker. Vielen Dank für das gute Essen

Das Essen war mega Lecker , Bedienung war super. Die Umgebung ist jetzt nicht die schönste , aber das Essen ist super und ich kann es nur Empfehlen

Ausgezeichnetes Essen zu wirklich fairen Preisen! Hier wird noch richtig gekocht, kein Convenience wie bei so vielen mittlerweile. Trotz vollem Laden dennoch 2 Plätze bekommen. Ein Leuchtturm in Kalk, weit über die Veedelsgrenze hinaus!

Wieder ein leckerer Abend im Blauen König! Heute Abend haben wir spontan einen Tisch bekommen und haben Sardinen und Rote Beete Tatse als Vorspeise genossen. Besonders lecker auch das warme Fladenbrot mit Olivenöl. Als Hauptspeise gab es mit Artischocken gefüllte Ravioli und Saltimbocca - auf meinen Wunsch hin mit Salat anstelle Kartoffelpüree. Alles sehr lecker und wir fragen uns, warum es seit unserem letzten Besuch so lange her ist. Der nächste wird auf jeden Fall folgen.

Without a doubt our favourite place in Köln, the food is super homemade, the place is cosy both in summer and winter, and the staff are simply charming. We've tried many of the dishes and all of them are worth it ¡Gracias!

We were in Cologne for a concert and ate there for one night. Honestly, we didn't expect it to be like this. A dream on our plates: tarte flambée and homemade pasta. We'd love to go back. We felt very comfortable.

We were in Cologne for a concert (Billie, May 29th) and wanted to grab a bite to eat beforehand. We were wandering through the streets and discovered the "Blauer König." A gem in an otherwise not-so-pretty corner of the city 🫣. Food: Amazing... homemade ravioli and tarte flambée 🤤. I've never had such delicious tarte flambée anywhere else. Prices: I think the food is totally reasonable, the portions (for a woman) were large enough. I was full ☺️. Ambience: Furniture is rather rustic and a bit sparse. The color makes it cozy, though. Seat cushions for the chairs would have been nice ☺️. Overall, though, it's a place where you feel at home. Service: 👍 friendly

We had a wonderful evening at the Blauer König in Cologne! The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, the food is fresh and delicious – from tarte flambée to ravioli. Friendly staff, the menu has something for everyone, and the value is good too. We'll be back!

A very nice little restaurant with friendly service. We had a delicious quiche and spaghetti with crayfish tails and avocado wedges, also very tasty. A highlight for me was the tea with fresh mint.

Insider tip! We were there for lunch with three people and sat outside overlooking the beautiful square lined with linden trees. The dishes were delicious, Mediterranean-inspired. There was braised lamb with homemade mashed potatoes, asparagus ravioli with fresh asparagus in sage butter, and a classic asparagus dish. Everything was wonderful! The service was attentive, and they even provided a bowl of water for the dog. We'd love to come back.

From the outside it looked unspectacular. But the waitress had such a warm smile that you immediately forgot you were in a big city. The food was great. The room itself is somehow not that comfortable, but we quickly ignored that. Highly recommended.

Here you can find delicious “down-to-earth” dishes or even your own creations. The homemade ravioli are always a highlight. Other pasta dishes, on the other hand, are rather bland. The menu is seasonal and regional, which is why there is always a good variety. In the winter there are also game and duck. Unfortunately we find the portions too small for the prices. It can get very loud in the restaurant. In summer you can sit outside wonderfully. There is also freshly tapped Sünner 🍺 😍 The cakes are also recommended here, so definitely try them ;) and a reservation is never a bad idea.

Fantastic place to escape everyday hospital life. The food was fantastic, from the look to the taste to the price. Here you feel attentive and well served.

Great location for eating. The location is not great, in a busy residential area with apartments. But that is no obstacle to having a good meal there. Very good by German standards and a place I return to regularly. Even months later, the quality and taste are consistently good. The menu contains other dishes that you would not normally expect in Germany. And delicious! Price is fine.

A real discovery in Cologne's southern city! Great food: We had a lamb ragout and penne with beef strips - both tasted sensationally good. It's best to sit outside in a small, quiet place and find yourself in the middle of Mang im Veedl.

A small Italian restaurant that provides top quality food and service! The restaurant doesn't need fancy decoration, but it feels comfortable. There are indoor and outdoor seats to suit the requirements of different guests. We ordered several types of food and beer, and each one was outstanding! The Indian clerk is very friendly and helpful, thank you! We enjoyed an excellent dinner here.

The restaurant impresses with its hospitable atmosphere and excellent service. I was particularly impressed by the asparagus with medallions. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made the visit particularly pleasant. Even if unfortunately you could only pay in cash.

We have been to the Blue King several times now. It was always super tasty. I can only recommend the antipasti plate and the scampi. Service is also great. I would recommend everyone to eat here.

Quiet location, beautifully reduced and stylishly furnished. It has a bit of a southern France feel. A little miracle in lime! The food was also delicious :)

We happened to pass there around lunchtime. The food was very tasty. The menu is not overly extensive, which speaks for the small restaurant in the French bistro style. Price performance was perfect and there was delicious Sünner Kölsch. The male waitress was very friendly even though it was stressful in the nice weather. The small bistro is near the Kalker hospital. The surroundings are not that nice but we felt very comfortable there. Parking is not easy but you can park in the net parking lot opposite the hospital for a fee.

We were looking for a restaurant that was open a little earlier and then came across this one. The chef entertained us and gave us friendly advice at the same time. The furnishings are a bit old, but the food was really tasty. I had the Wiener-style schnitzel with salad, but instead of baked potatoes I used mashed potatoes - in retrospect, a good choice in my opinion 🤗 if I could eat more, I would have had the chocolate cake, but unfortunately I was already full... that We remember the address!

Der Blaue König mitten in Kalk ist wie eine Oase in der Wüste.

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Auch wenn leider bei den Penne mit gebratenen Steakstreifen In Champignon Trüffel Rahmsauce der Trüffel Geschmack nur zu erahnen war. Die Idee einer wechselnden Wochenkarte gefällt mir wiederum sehr gut und es gibt dadurch eine vielseitige Auswahl an Gerichten. Das Ambiente des Restaurants überzeugt leider wenig, das absolut faire Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die großen Portionen lassen darüber aber hinweg sehen. Service und Außenbereich, der ruhig gelegen ist, waren gut!

Gestern nach (viel zu) langer Zeit wieder dort gewesen und das excellente Essen genossen. Neben der normalen Karte gibt es eine Wochenkarte, alles sehr lecker in interessanten Kompositionen. Service schnell und aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Immer wieder gerne!

Von außen ist der Blaue König etwas unscheinbar und man erwartet diese leckeren Genüsse gar nicht. Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist gut. Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine Tafel mit Tagesmenü. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und kümmert sich alleine um die Gäste. Klappt sehr gut. Insgesamt gibt es dort ca. 8 Tische. Dem Koch gehört ein großes Lob ausgesprochen!! Beide Gerichte, die wir bestellt hatten, haben spitzenmäßig geschmeckt! Die Preise sind angemessen und absolut im Rahmen. Es lohnt sich wirklich Die Einrichtung wirkt etwas "einfach". Holztische und Stühle. Wenig Deko. Aber das Essen soll ja schmecken. Und das tut es. Die Kombination des leckeren Essens und meiner einzigartigen Begleitung haben es zu einem tollen Erlebnis gemacht! Ein Geheimtipp in Köln-Kalk!!

Die pfifferlingravioli haben meine Vorstellungen übertroffen. Das Ambiente ist okay, der Service freundlich. Ich werde dort bestimmt nochmal hin gehen

Eine coole Location, sieht ein bisschen aus wie ein altes Ladenlokal. Sehr gutes Essen und netter Service. Der Ziegenkäse mit Tomaten als Vorspeise ist super lecker!

Waren zu zweit mitten in der Woche dort und froh, kurz nach 18 Uhr einen Platz bekommen zu haben ( Reservieren wird empfohlen). Den Anti-Pasti Teller haben wir uns als Vorspeise geteilt; ein echter Hammer! Das gegrillte Gemüse zusammen mit dem Aioli-Dip und dem krossen Brot war köstlich. Gleiches gilt für die Tarte au Chevre Chaud und das geschmorte Lammfleisch. Das warme Schokoladentörtchen und die Creme Brülee rundeten eine phantastische Mahlzeit ab. Der Kellner: sehr freundlich und sehr schnell ( man könnte auch sagen sprintstark). Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis; der morbide Charme der Einrichtung dürfte nicht jedermanns Geschmack sein. Alles in allem: sehr empfehlenswert.

Top Essen, guter Service, man kann schön draußen sitzen, wertet die Umgebung auf! Update 26.07.: Laden geschlossen, nirgendwo steht warum, normal sollte ab 12 Uhr geöffnet sein um 16 Uhr jedoch zu. Das geht gar nicht, vorallem wenn man nicht um die Ecke wohnt, schade!

Seit der Eröffnung vor vielem Jahren ist der Blaue König für uns die Lokalität abgesehen von unserem Balkon, die wir aufsuchen um im Sommer gemütlich etwas zu essen und einen Wein zu trinken. Die Flammkuchen wie auch die Tagesgerichte mitten im urbanen Zentrum von Kalk können wir nur empfehlen.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier essen, aber bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal! Der Service war freundlich und schnell, das Essen sehr lecker. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Ein tolles Lokal in der Nachbarschaft, hätten wir in Kalk nicht erwartet!

Der Blaue König ist seit 2013 eine Institution in Köln Kalk mit einer kleinen aber feinen Karte, die mediterrane Küche mit gutbürgerlichen Elementen vereint und ein studentisches bis bürgerliches Publikum anspricht. Beim letzten Besuch ist besonders die Creme Brulee sehr positiv in Erinnerung geblieben.

Wir kommen immer, wenn wir uns unter Freunden in Köln treffen. Sehr nette Kellner und super frisches wie originelles Essen zu fairen Preisen. Ich liebe den Laden!
