Bindaas in München

The food was quite good, the atmosphere was nice and the staff was nice. However, I found it really crazy that with such a high price of over €100 for our entire table we were asked to pay in cash and had to collect our last coins.

The food was incredibly delicious, especially the freshly made naan which was perfectly soft and fluffy. Simply heavenly! A real highlight was the tuk tuk car that is in the restaurant area. It's a super cool idea to make the whole experience even more special and it makes you feel like you're really in India. It is a beautiful eye-catcher and makes the visit even more unique. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was super relaxed. If you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine, you should definitely pay a visit to Bindaas. I will definitely come back!

One of our favourite places in Munich, feels like home

The basmati rice with lamb covered in a soft wafer of baked bread is excellent. As good Italians we also added their focaccia and not wholemeal, we drank good quality blonde beer on tap and we tasted the mango snaps. There were four of us around €27 each. Negative note is the music coming from the ceiling. Very kind and efficient staff both in taking orders and in explaining the dishes and making them arrive steaming hot at the table

I booked a table for 11:30 and waited outside of the restaurant for half hour only to be told that the restaurant will start serving from 1 pm. I also called the owner twice who didn’t inform me about this either. Overall very unprofessional

It was a nice dining experience, we went to Bindaas so many times. This kind of street Indian food is really impressive, so many tasty starters. We liked the most: Papri Chaat, Chilly Chicken and Gobi Manchurian, and also fair prices. Nice location, close to Marienplatz, but it is better to reserve a table in advance.

Now I love Indian. Very well eaten, an explosion of many spices. Slightly spicy, we recommend using yogurt sauce to temper it. Service excellent. Gladly again. Highly recommended. The tea with milk foam...

One of the best indian restaurant in Munich i have tried. Atmosphere, Service, everywas top notch. Sukhdeep and team took special care of us(group of 20). Their lamb and chicken tikkas were the best. Daal and paneer items were great too. Moong daal halwa and gulabjamun desset were spectacular. Must try if you are around.

Came here spontaneously because our original restaurant was closed. We were warmly welcomed and had our food on the table within 20 minutes. Tikka Masala twice, was very tasty and still warm. Friendly service, great food, nice atmosphere - recommended :)

This place serves the authentical indian food from North india I have been here many times and never disappointed with food. They have a really good deal for lunch. I ordered the thali and loved everything on it.

Great food! Palak paneer and garlic naan both unbelievably good. However, BEWARE: at the end they did lie and say they don’t take cards for a cash scam - I told them that I read a review saying that they’d done this before to which the guy said “just kidding” and went and got a card reader…lol. It actually sort of added to the experience and the food was delicious, but you have to be prepared to call it out - so weird! Happy eating!

I am a vegetarian and had kaala dal and rice with Aloo curry and crispy Garlic Naan. Food was finger licking taste. Awesome...a must try if you are near central Munich.

I love the food & the vibe here. The servers are very friendly too. They offered to change the Palak Paneer to Kadhai Paneer even though it was not on the menu.

Bust very popular restaurant, booking essential. Staff were friendly and attentive considering it was so busy ( Friday night). Food came quickly which was great as we were super hungry. We ended up sharing a table with other people but we were fine with that. Good size portions just would have liked more ‘vegetables’ in my veg biryani but overall very good indeed.

I have to give them 5 stars for everything. Mainly because of the hospitality and speed at which they serve. To top it all off it’s the tastiest North Indian food also the most authentic I’ve eaten in Germany. No joke their chaats taste better than the ones in India.

It’s good to see an Indian restaurant breakout of the pattern. This was more like a real street restaurant you’d also get to see in India - atmosphere therefore is also a bit louder than in other restaurants (but I’m all here for it) Authentic menu - they even have little texts explaining the options (very nice touch)

He llamado a Bindaas hecho una reserva fue para una noche y me dieron un espacio de 6 : 30 a 8 pm y debería dejar la mesa 8 pm. o debería venir después de las 8: 30 pm . Estaba totalmente enfadado con el horario de la reserva y cancelado. Aunque su comida puede ser buena, me gustó el intercambio de palabras con ellos durante la reserva. Así que dije que no quiero visitar el restaurante para siempre.

The restaurant was full of people and the employees were friendly and helpful. Our order was butter chicken, biryani rice, and naan bread. The food was very ordinary.

One of my very favorite restaurants in Munich! The food is really very good, there is a lot to choose from and great drinks too. The staff is very nice and I like the decor and the large windows overlooking Rumfordstrasse. Be sure to make a reservation, especially if you want to go in the evening, it is always full!

Update: Butter chicken too sweet, temperature in the dining room too low, naan good, overall more of a fast food atmosphere with slow food prices. It's going ok. Despite having a reservation and showing up on time, we've been waiting for a table for 35 minutes. One star, no matter how the food is :( Edit: I'm sorry for what I said when I was hungry. Service was super nice, 2 starters and a lassi on the house as an apology, food was good. I'll give it another chance. ;)

Great value for money. Have eaten at Bindaas twice so far and have never been disappointed: the food tastes great, the service is friendly and very fast, and what was very positive was that we got a table straight away both times without a reservation. Unfortunately, the second time we sat near the front door, which was uncomfortable in winter because of the cold. In addition, the tables are quite close together, so there is little privacy. Otherwise tip top and absolutely recommended!

I've been to 7-8 different Indian places in Munich, which isn't difficult, there are so many, but this place tastes the best by far.

It gets pretty crowded and, depending on where you sit, a little tight. Service is quick and good. Food tastes good.

Very nice restaurant. We made a spontaneous decision to eat here and showed up at 19:00 without a reservation on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy, but the friendly staff found us a table which we were told we could have for an hour., which turned out to be plenty of time. We shared a starter, had a main course and a drink each and all were really good. The bill with tip came to €60 and the service was really quick, despite how busy they were.

Food was good. Very busy but fast service. Reservation recommended. But not worth the Instagram hype!

Great Indian restaurant in the center of Munich

The food is very good, the staff is very nice, the place is interesting and the atmosphere is very pleasant. If you want to eat Indian in the city center, it is a very good option. During the week the menu is very affordable.

The restaurant started off well in terms of authenticity and was great in terms of spice and taste. After four visits, I notice the authenticity is decreasing - the color and presentation are great, but unfortunately the taste is negative. What is still missing is that cream is added to every sauce and sugar! Really a shame.

This is a fantastic Indian restaurant. We ordered three dishes and drinks and they arrived very quickly. Plus, all the dishes are cheap! The waiters were very pleasant and spoke both German and English. If you are in Munich, you must eat there!

Unfortunately we had bad experiences in this restaurant. The food isn't tasty - everything just tastes strongly of cumin (other spices don't come into their own). All sauces taste the same. Cream is included in most dishes, even daal. Byriani totally dry and tasteless. Fresh ingredients that are on the menu are missing. Few vegetables. Service is poor - no solution is offered when a complaint is made. We were asked 6 times if everything was ok, everyone shrugged their shoulders at comments and just walked away. Service was super clumsy (1 liter of liquid was spread on our clothes). The cloakroom is located directly at the exit from the kitchen (smell permeates the clothes). Very disappointing. We won't go there again.

I am Indian and I really recommend this place to everyone in munich who wants to try authentic Indian cuisine. It’s not Germanised. But if you want to eat less spicy you can request them. I love the interior of this modern restaurant and the waiters are very friendly. Love it

The restaurant is huge but full house. The food is beautiful and delicious. On the other hand, i would not recommend the chaii as isnt the authentic taste. But overall the experience is very nice. The staff are smiling and helping.

Great Indian food! Definitely we will come back here. We went on a Thursday around 17:00. We didn’t have a reservation, but we received a table for 1:30. It was almost full. We had butter chicken and chicken masala. So tasty!

I am Indian living in Germany for over 2 years, visited this restaurant for dinner with my wife on 30.09.2024. The food is very sad, only the service is very fast and kind. From another city in Germany, we recently relocated to Munich, and went here on the advice of a local person. We were looking for a spicy vegetarian dish, they recommended Paneer Masala, but got served Palak Paneer first and then replaced it with Paneer Masala. Palak Paneer looked like paneer being added to curry made out of frozen butter palak which you get here in supermarkets. The experience with Paneer Masala was no different, it was paneer being cooked in tomato ketchup. We were served a spicy version of this curry recommended by them, which was tasting like raw gun power (red capsicum powder) being added to this curry - when asked for spicy curry in India, you can actually feel that the spice was added which cooking and taste gets added up, but herein it was some mix of paneer + literally frozen tomato ketchup heated up + gun power added separately to it later. They seem to care a lot about feedback and experience, so they replaced it on our feedback and got milder version of the same palak masala, which again felt like paneer being added in a ketchup, only the gun powder spice went away, probably they have made it in bulk and just add raw gun powder (and don't cook with spice) when people ask for spicy dishes.I had clicked attached photo while having a chat, rest of the experience took away all the joy of going to the Indian restaurant, so pics not clicked for remaining items. One doesn't go to a restaurant to eat some version of frozen food and frozen ingredients which you get in supermarkets, but to take a break from cooking at home and have a different experience. The restaurant was fully crowded with 50-60 people with mostly locals, and surprisingly this was recommended to us by a local person only, so we were shocked to see what kind of Indian food was served to the locals. My wife and I have been to many Indian restaurants in Germany and neighbouring countries, but never got such Indian food in a terrible way of frozen and uncooked style. When we have paneer masala or paneer palak in India, you can feel that fresh palak smashed or curry is made fresh from tomato base done in house by restaurants (we know restaurants have a few things like tomato base and other stuff being prepared in advance in house for the day or part of thr day, not being made fresh for every single dish, but herein it was literally Ketchup being served with some fry to it with added up paneer cubes). So surely ingredients are compromised, their focus seem to be more on courteous/ kind and fast service only. The papadi chat was also average, compared to the one we had from other places in Munich. I had to run to the counter to get salt, paper napkins and also to pay the bill, felt like local white skinned people get more attention than Indians, discrimination was surprising, A couple of touches of kindness in service can't compensate for that. Even while paying the bill too, we were asked how's the food, but we were shocked to see this restaurant wherein so many people already having food with such compromised quality of ingredients and taste, probably due to their lack of knowledge of authentic Indian food. I feel for locals who don't know how real authentic Indian food tastes like and come here to experience it, probably they come or keep coming due to the fast service and kindness which locals really value, and they being treated specially as compared to Indians maybe adding further to their experience, really feel for them that they're missing good Indian food experience here which is usually the goal of someone when you visit it, service and some kindness may not compensate for everything! Writing this at 3 am local time in utter shock of discrimination for Indians in Indian restaurant, food can always be enjoyed somewhere else or at home itself.

Great Indian Food! Really close to Marienplatz. I ordered Chana Masala and Garlic Naan and both were super delicious! The service was friendly and the food came out quick. We still got a table for 3 on sunday night but it was very crowded. So if you come on friday or saturday it's best to reserve a table. The interior is also very pretty. All in all would recommend!
