Bellini in Heidelberg

If I could, I'd give zero stars. The menu explicitly states that the XXL pizza starts at €17.80. It's clear that there's an extra charge depending on the toppings – but then to suddenly demand €29.80 (and only when I picked it up) is incredibly cheeky. Even cheekier, however, is claiming that the prices on the online menu are outdated when the exact same prices are still listed on the current menus in the restaurant. After I pointed out this discrepancy to the employee, he asked accusingly, "Do you know what pizza bread is?" – so the €17.80 is for a pizza with absolutely no toppings. At the same time, it became clear that the prices were indeed current and they were simply trying to rip me off. I was then handed the money without a word and had to leave without my food. I did overhear the call to the kitchen that the pizza didn't even need to be made – meaning that despite having pre-ordered, the pizza wasn't prepared until I arrived to pick it up. The only response to this whole debacle was that it wasn't the restaurant's fault. And by the way, the claim that they deliver for orders over €20 is also a lie. Aside from the fact that this is pure extortion and the menu is knowingly and deliberately misleading, the service was the most unfriendly I've experienced in a long time. I would strongly advise everyone against ordering from here. Furthermore, anyone who wants to see how the owner and staff treat their customers only needs to read the responses to less-than-stellar reviews.

A small and cozy place with really nice and friendly people at work. The food was delicious; specially Spaghetti al pesto mit basilikum sauce. This was something new for me and I will openly recommend it. Other people from the group were also satisfied with their orders. The service is quick and the waiting time for the food to arrive at your table is less. The place is usually bustling with all the students and staff from the surrounding buildings in the area.

We ate at the Bellini restaurant during a hospital stay and were completely satisfied. The food was served very quickly, was fresh, and tasted excellent. The staff was extremely friendly, polite, and accommodating. We felt very comfortable! Thanks to the Bellini team!

We ordered a pizza from Bellini to be delivered to the university hospital via Wolt, clearly indicating the ward and room in the order. At the agreed time, the courier reported in the Wolt chat that he was at the entrance. I replied that I wasn't mobile and my exact location had been provided. However, he wrote that he couldn't find my "apartment." I told him to ask for directions at the information desk. When he finally arrived, the pizza was unfortunately cold. Furthermore, the courier spoke very little German, which made communication very difficult. Very disappointing, as I was really looking forward to a change from hospital food. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it—I had assumed I would receive a warm pizza, as the restaurant is so close to the hospital.

First time at the restaurant. Pizza to go, everything was great up until that point. I opened the box and found a piece of a disposable glove lying next to my pizza. The pizza itself was poorly sliced, and the pineapple was in a large ring instead of chunks. The pizza itself was still delicious.

I've been here several times, and the staff is always really friendly and the seating is very comfortable. My dog ​​was also lovingly pampered here.

Dear pizza lovers, This shop pleasantly surprised me. The consistency, fluffiness, and taste were all just right, and I experienced a culinary delight, especially the open and friendly customer service. A big shout-out to the waitress who served us that evening. I ate the pizza and got hungry again because it tasted so good. I was on a business trip from Mainz to Heidelberg and have already put this shop on my number one food spot list. I've never eaten such a delicious pizza in Mainz and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture because I was so hungry for the pizza. This shop is definitely recommended.

This place is simply wonderful and will save you during the weeks you spend here on campus for treatments. It's open every day from morning to evening, and of course, you'll encounter a changing staff, but everyone is extremely friendly, cheerful, and very customer-focused. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere here is casual Italian. You can just sit on the terrace and enjoy yourself. The value for money is great. Thank you for being here!

We ordered lasagna and tuna pizza – both excellent! The pizza was nice and crispy, the lasagna perfectly seasoned: not too much tomato, not too acidic, just perfectly balanced. For the price, the quality here in Heidelberg is unbeatable. A definite recommendation! Best wishes from Hesse

We tried snacks like beer, coffee, and pizza here. Overall, everything was decent. However, the beers weren’t properly chilled, so I had my first warm beer in Germany at this place. I should also mention that the service was quite slow.

The trip to Bellini in Neuenheimer Feld is always rewarded with high-quality and affordable pizza, delicious coffee specialties, friendly and authentic service, a lovely outdoor atmosphere with home-grown plants and flowers, and, above all, the wonderful chef, Enzo. We've spent two wonderful evenings here now and will be back many more times!

This is a lovely little restaurant. From a distance, we thought it was self-service, but it was actually served by a waitress. We ordered two lemonades and a pizza. They also brought us two cutlery sets 🍴 as requested because we wanted to share the pizza 🍕. No problem at all. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious. Thank you.

The spaghetti carbonara is absolutely amazing, and my daughter loves the Bianca pizza bread every day 🥰 Thank goodness we found this cute little restaurant during these crazy times ❤️

There was a lady that was very rude to me. The food is ok. What saves the place is that it is located near a beautiful grass field.

Small but nice place w the charme of italien bistros of the 80s.. food is really delicious, especially the pizza is one of the best in rhein neckar triangle. Service people are usually the same and very friendly..so soon you are familiar with them. .in the summer the garden is beatiful as the owner ( Enzo can be a smart ass) is taking care of the plants . always remarkable evening.. Not really recommended. We ordered takeaway and when we arrived at the agreed time the pizza wasn't even in the oven. In the end we waited another half hour. In addition, our order was then given to other customers who came back 10 minutes later and whose pizza was then given to us, so we also got cold pizzas (one was decorated with a hair, the other contained additional random ingredients). The Bellini experience is definitely an experience that you don't want to have often.

I don't know what kind of hardcore Germans are commenting here, but I find some of the reviews absolutely terrible. We've been there 4-5 times in our time and were never disappointed. Pizza is great, spaghetti is more than great, cannelloni could be a bit better :). You don't necessarily get that Italian flair here. But then again, it's hard to find that in Heidelberg, in the middle of a hospital/student neighborhood in March. Highly recommend Pizza Bellini. Best regards

Cheap, okay. An Italian restaurant in the heart of the Heidelberg hospital area. Ok, central, cheap: therefore perhaps ideal for students there (apparently there are coffee tickets or something, which is why there was quite a lot of public traffic, which creates fatal cold in the whole room in winter, see below). However, I do not want to agree with some of the supposedly positive reviews of my predecessors. Good ingredients. Spaghetti ok. Pizza was poor in taste, not fully baked and the dough was in no way crispy at any point. The tomato sauce in isolation was great. Unfortunately, now 3 hours later, the pizza is really in my stomach. Crystal wheat: Foam immediately at 0. Very bitter, probably lemon, since Höpfner beer. Hefeweizen better with foam. Service was ok. Too much loud, private conversations among employees. Several cell phone calls from employees, some on loudspeaker for a long time, some group calls. Unfortunately, the ambience was less than OK. Tables very simple. What seemed clean at first impression was scratched in several places or appeared untidy. Negative: Door without curtain (despite hanging option). When the door opened it was immediately freezing cold in the entire room. Door was often left open for longer than 30-60 seconds. THEREFORE, employees wear winter clothing or jackets. We ordered party pizzas there every Friday for about ten people for several months. Quality is okay and prices were reasonable. Recently, however, the prices were increased significantly, which was not communicated when ordering, but only when paying. The new prices were not shown on site or online. After 20 minutes of discussion, the boss decided to deduct the difference from his employee's salary. The service is generally poor because you are initially ignored when you order in advance or enter the store. It generally seems quite chaotic and orders were sometimes mixed up.

An excellent authentic place of Italian food culture. The pizzas are exorbitantly great. Made from Italian flour like the pizza maker himself...see for yourself... It's not a noble Italian, so the price-performance ratio is unique. Bon appetit..

We "arrived" relatively late with a group of 12 people - not an issue for the nice owners (I guess). Very tasty dinner and really big portions. All you have to know is that the restaurant is “in” the hospital area (behind the parking barrier).

A very inconspicuous restaurant a little away from the city center. The location is very quiet and the atmosphere is nice. There is seating both inside and outside on a small terrace. The service is very good, the staff is friendly and attentive. The food came to the table quickly, even some bread with dip beforehand. We had pizza, very large and tasty. We would definitely go again, highly recommended. Value for money is great!

Everything takes forever. Have been for 45 minutes. here and weren't allowed to order anything. Twice on our own initiative (reaction from the lazy boss was: We are not swings?!) and once we were asked. As I write this, the waitress comes for the second time to ask if we still don't have anything. Then she turns around and asks what we even wanted... I also sat there for almost 2 hours and wanted to pick up a pizza. After 1 hour we are asked what we actually ordered... The pizzas are very good but nothing is going on! The only person who gets something there is the taller gentleman, who I think is the pizza maker.

Update: come here every 3 months during my husband's treatment. Mostly for 5 to 6 hours. Unfortunately, that's probably over. Restaurant opens at 10 a.m. I go in and ask if I can sit outside because the tables and chairs are still secured. The waitress answers in a rude tone: yes, it's not open yet, people just sit down. It was a quarter past 10 o'clock and I asked nicely. When I objected that I was just asking, she said I could go somewhere else. It's a shame if the service scares away guests who have been coming regularly for two years.

Restaurant the price/performance ratio here is outstanding and gets a lot out of it. The food is also good. There is definitely still work to be done on the Freundlichleit (I was there 4 times). Small menu, little selection, but it's completely enough!!! What is on offer is great. It's better to have less choice and everything done well than a lot of choice and everything is "well". We were there for the fourth time. Often had pasta or pizza. 2x there, 2x to take away. I would be happy if you were a little more friendly and I would feel much more comfortable with you. Clear recommendation for those who expect good quality for a “small budget” and don’t need a luxury ambience.

We know Bellini from before, the food is still good and the service makes you feel good and at ease. Unfortunately, the outside area has been a bit neglected and there is dirt everywhere, which is such a shame. Investing in outdoor furniture or renewing the tent adds a lot of ambience. The cigarettes under almost every table and the trash between the plants are easy to clean up. Nevertheless, we would come again, the quiet location and our food were great and invite you to stay.

Unfortunately, the tortellini tastes like microwave tortellini from the supermarket. Small portion, restaurant looks very worn out.

Can but not a must. Staff is friendly and nice. Spaghetti was also ok, but no different to what you cook at home. It was really carelessly prepared like a cafeteria dish. It was pretty cold because the front door was always open, I don't know why. Update: Crayfish etc. certainly not, but at home I do my best to make sure the food looks like something. As the saying goes, “the eye eats too”

The food was good, and I tried the spaghetti and orange soda. The price was also good. Bellini was open for long hours and conveniently located. The ambience was nice and I loved the interior of the restaurant. The overall atmosphere is very retro and relaxed, great for meeting friends here and chatting. The vast majority of the waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment customers walked through the door and all loved their jobs! However, I found the interior lighting a little dim and the background music could have been avoided by having the same two or three songs on loop all the time. One older waitress who spoke no English had a bad attitude and rounded up the decimal point of the payment amount when she entered the amount due into the credit card reader. I think the advantage of a credit card is that the payment is precise, and I overpaid by less than a euro without knowing it. It was the first time I'd seen this done and it was a bit abrupt and confusing that she didn't tell me in advance.

ich war nur ein Mal da, kann aber manche schlechte Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Unfreundlichkeit? Überhaupt nicht. Die Bedienung ist zwar keine "Stimmungskanone", aber sehr nett. Der Chef ist beides ! Schlechtes Essen ? Auf gar keinen Fall. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Essen frisch, Pizza knusprig. Sehr lecker! Drinnen ist es etwas eng und laut. Draußen gibt es schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Erst mal Dankeschön das sie auf nach frage ob man hier auch cocktail trinken kann weil es nicht auf der speisekarte zu lesen war, uns cocktail zubereitet haben (alkoholfrei) fanta orangen Eiswürfel und minze Und der preis am Ende erschreckend Haben uns abgezockt gefühlt!!!

Der Biergarten des Restaurants ist schön gestaltet und lädt zum sitzen und verweilen auf dem Klinikgelände ein. Der Innenbereich allerdings ist chaotisch, überall liegen Sachen rum und es ist dreckig! Der Service lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig, wir dachten erst es wäre Selbstbedienung da wir nach 10 Minuten nicht einmal eine Karte hatten....Danach wurde unsere Bestellung fehlerhaft aufgenommen und das Hauptgericht meines Mannes nicht serviert (sondern vergessen- er hatte dann auch keine Lust mehr es nach zu bestellen, nach 20 Minuten fiel es dann auch der Bedienung auf und sie entschuldigte sich, den der Nachbartisch hatte es erhalten und versehentlich auch aufgegessen). Kinderstühle und einen Wickeltisch gibt es leider nicht! Die Pizza war gut, der Salat und die Pommes sowie das Pizzabrot eher schlecht und fade im Geschmack. Alles in allem kommen wir hier nicht mehr her.

Es ist wirklich schön, dass es im Neuenheimer Feld ein Restaurant gibt. Als (rüstiger) Patient ist es eine Anlaufstelle für sehr gutes Essen, Kaffee und hausgemachtes Tiramisu. Es gibt das Gefühl der Normalität und lenkt ab. Als Angehöriger bietet es die Möglichkeit mit dem Patienten den Klinikalltag mal für eine zeitlang zu vergessen. Sehr nette Service Kraft und wirklich sehr sehr sehr sehr gutes Essen. Vom Salat über die Canelloni bis zur Pizza war und bin ich begeistert.
