BECKERS Restaurant und Weinbar in Hannover

I was at Beckers for the second time and this time with a new business partner. In my opinion, the restaurant is suitable for both private and business events. As a precaution, I reserved a table for this. The Beckers itself offers a really great atmosphere, where we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The service was very friendly, customer-oriented and without long waiting times. The food really didn't take long to arrive and it was excellently prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. Priced completely appropriate for this type of fine dining. My new business partner was very enthusiastic about Beckers and he is already planning to come back with his loved ones. And as far as I'm concerned, always happy!

Yes, absolutely - and always very tasty. The service is very attentive, patient and responds to every request of the guests at the table. This is really a rarity these days!

We were given a voucher for a candlelight dinner for our birthday. We rode our bikes there on this warm summer evening. We definitely cannot recommend traveling by car due to the parking situation. Public transport is definitely the better choice here. The very friendly, helpful and well-informed service seated us in the beer garden in front of the restaurant. The traffic noise on Bödekerstrasse was tolerable on this Saturday evening and didn't bother us. We were greeted with a glass of champagne, fresh bread and a ruccola dip. The bread and the subtle dip were very tasty. The bread is only fully baked here in the restaurant; the blanks are delivered from a bakery. This is a good example of how you don't always have to do everything yourself if you can buy good products. As a first course we were served a tataki of big eye tuna on banana bread with curry and sugar snap peas. A light Pinot Blanc was served with it. Despite the fact that we are not fish lovers, this course tasted very tasty. Together with the Pinot Blanc a very nice introduction. The second course was an iced watermelon gazpacho with shrimp and lime. A Riesling was also served. The gazpacho was also very tasty, had a slight spiciness and the Riesling selected by the service went very well with it. The third course was the Kikok chicken ragout, Moroccan braised with Raz El Hanout, carrots, cous cous and cashew. A Pinot Blanc, but this time aged in barriques, was served. The ragout was just as delicious as the courses before it, and the Pinot Blanc, with a clear hint of wood, went perfectly with it again. Finally there was a panna cotta “tonka bean” with mirabelle plums and a scoop of sour cream ice cream. An espresso was also served. The panna cotta and mirabelle plums were very tasty. But the sour cream ice cream, which is made in-house in the restaurant, was the secret star of the dessert for me. We had a very nice time in Becker's restaurant, also thanks to the very good service. Every employee who helped us with the menu was attentive at all times and made us feel welcome in the restaurant at all times. However, the prices for the food here are a little higher, and the 4-course menu costs €73 according to the menu - but without wine accompaniment. We are generally not at home in this price segment, but I would like to say that it is appropriate in this case. We haven't been so satisfied after a visit to a restaurant in a long time - hence 5 stars from us...

Very nice location, but unfortunately substandard and completely overwhelmed service. Although we had clearly made reservations in the restaurant in advance, we were initially offered seats on high stools in the wine bar. After the starter was taken and the main course was served, we only received new cutlery when we asked. Drink replenishment was also a long time coming. Overall, service seems completely uncoordinated. The quality of the food was also not what we expected based on the reviews and the homepage. For example, the fried potatoes were clearly fried convenience, the schnitzel was dry mediocre. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right here at all. We won't be coming back again.

Unfortunately, the prices only cover the appearance/claim, but not the reality; Neither food nor drinks (the most expensive was chosen for both) correspond to the price requirements. The staff is friendly and always tries hard, but they can't maintain the image they portray to the outside world. All in all, 30-40% lower prices do justice to the performance.

It was, as always, very good. We'd love to come here.

An all-round successful visit. The food, service and ambience are top notch "Star Number" deserved. Expectations were clearly exceeded. Since this was a repeat visit, expectations could no longer be exceeded, but fortunately they were once again fully met. Compliments, see you next time!

Good food, nice service :) A few things didn't go so well but overall a great address for Hanover with a fair price/performance ratio.

The Becker restaurant in Hanover offers outstanding cuisine, the quality of which leaves little to be desired. The dishes are creative, taste of the highest quality and prepared with great attention to detail. Unfortunately, the dining experience is marred by the service, which definitely has room for improvement. When we booked a candlelight dinner, it was immediately noticeable that the table was not particularly prepared in any way and did not differ from the regular tables. This was described differently in the voucher and did not add to the romantic atmosphere that one would expect on such an occasion. Another weak point was the wine accompaniment. As usual, this was not served before the courses or at least in good time, but repeatedly came after the dishes - a faux pas that had a negative impact on the overall experience. It was particularly disappointing that one wine was even completely forgotten. In our case, the included volume of around one liter of wine corresponded to just four glasses of 0.1 liters each - significantly less than expected. We could also have done without the service person's comment, "Hopefully the rest of the bottle is enough." In summary, the Becker is a culinary highlight, but the service unfortunately falls far short of expectations. With a more professional and attentive service as well as full service delivery according to the voucher offer, this restaurant could reach its full potential

Becker's Restaurant and Wine Bar is a really nice restaurant that we would happily recommend! The sommelier took the time to meet us as non-wine connoisseurs at eye level and explain the selection to us in an understandable and charming way - we really liked that. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and you can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on good products here, even if the prices are correspondingly higher. A successful evening in a cozy atmosphere – we would love to come back!

Beckers is truly a little gem located in an upper-scale area of Hannover. Advance booking highly recommended, as the restaurant proves very popular. The dining room is ‘’gemütlich’’, boasting a relaxing atmosphere. A HUGE thumbs-up to the waitresses for the smiling, friendly and attentive service. It is truly hospitality at its best. The food proves as good as the staff. As starter I chose the German specialty ‘’Maultaschen’’ - a sort of veal dumplings. They were very tasty but the portion could have been more generous. As main course the salmon fillet was delicious and perfectly prepared, but the portion was also on the smaller side. As dessert I indulged in a tasty crème brûlée. For German standards the bill is clearly on the higher side, and the restaurant is therefore more for special occasions. However, given the very good food and lovely service, I will gladly come back.

Wir hatten einen Gutschein für ein Candle-Light-Dinner von Jochen Schweitzer zum Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen. Das einzige Restaurant in Hannover, in dem man diesen Gutschein einlösen kann, ist Beckers Restaurant und Weinbar in der Bödekerstraße Ecke Kleine Pfahlstraße. Wir sind an diesem lauen Sommerabend dort mit dem Fahrrad vorgefahren. Eine Anreise mit dem Auto können wir aufgrund der Parkplatzsituation definitiv nicht empfehlen. Hier sind die Öffis in jedem Fall die bessere Wahl. Der sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und gut informierte Service platzierte uns im Biergarten vor dem Restaurant. Der Verkehrslärm an der Bödekerstraße war an diesem Samstagabend erträglich und störte uns nicht. Begrüßt wurden wir mit einem Glas Sekt, frischen Brot und einem Ruccola-Dip. Das Brot und der dezente Dip waren sehr lecker. Das Brot wird hier im Restaurant nur fertig gebacken, die Rohlinge dazu werden aus einer Bäckerei angeliefert. Das ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür, dass man nicht immer alles selber machen muss, wenn man gute Produkte zukaufen kann. Als ersten Gang bekamen wir ein Tataki vom Big Eye Thunfisch auf Bananenbrot mit Curry und Zuckerschote serviert. Dazu wurde ein leichter Weißburgunder serviert. Dafür, dass wir keine Fischfreunde sind, hat uns dieser Gang allerdings sehr lecker geschmeckt. Zusammen mit dem Weißburgunder ein sehr schöner Einstieg. Als zweiten Gang wurde eine geeiste Wassermelonen Gazpacho mit Garnele und Limette serviert. Dazu wurde ein Riesling gereicht. Die Gazpacho war auch sehr lecker, hatte eine leichte Schärfe und der vom Service ausgesuchte Riesling passte sehr gut dazu. Als dritten Gang gab es das Ragout vom Kikok Huhn, marokkanisch geschmort mit Raz El Hanout, Möhren, Cous Cous und Cashew. Dazu wurde ein Weißburgunder, diesmal aber im Barrique ausgebaut, serviert. Das Ragout war genauso köstlich wie die Gänge davor, und der Weißburgunder, mit einer deutlichen Holznote, passte wieder perfekt dazu. Zum Abschluss gab es eine Panna Cotta „Tonkabohne“ mit Mirabellen und einer Kugel Sauerrahmeis. Dazu wurde ein Espresso gereicht. Das Panna Cotta und die Mirabellen waren sehr lecker. Das Sauerrahmeis aber, welches im Restaurant selbst hergestellt wird, war für mich der heimliche Star des Dessert. Wir hatten in Beckers Restaurant ein sehr Schöne Zeit, auch Dank des sehr guten Service. Jeder Mitarbeiter, welcher uns im Rahmen des Menüs betreute, war jederzeit aufmerksam und vermittelte uns jederzeit das Gefühl, im Restaurant willkommen zu sein. Die Preise für die Speisen sind hier allerdings etwas höher, und das 4 Gang Menü kostet laut Speisekarte 73€ - allerdings ohne eine Weinbegleitung. Wir sind im allgemeinen nicht in diesem Preissegment zuhause, aber ich möchte mal behaupten, dass er in diesem Fall auch angemessen ist. Wir sind schon lange nicht mehr so zufrieden nach einem Restaurantbesuch gewesen - daher 5 Sterne von uns…

The three of us were in this wonderful restaurant yesterday and we were absolutely thrilled! I had an excellent tartare, which is hard to beat in terms of taste and freshness, and a schnitzel with perfectly fried fried potatoes - simply heavenly. My friends were also very happy: the spaghetti dish with truffles was a real highlight and a treat! There was also a great selection of wines that went perfectly with our food. The service was attentive, warm and just great – we felt really comfortable. Thank you for this thoroughly successful evening! We will definitely be back soon and can only warmly recommend this restaurant.

We were there as a larger group of companies. More upscale restaurant with a large wine selection. The dishes were nicely presented and large enough. Everyone enjoyed it. The service was very friendly and competent.

Strange place. The dishes advertised online are not available in the restaurant. On the table there is a spread from the party beforehand, if you order wine you get champagne and if you order a beer the wine glasses are not cleared away. There is a big gap between expectations and reality here. Not a recommended restaurant. Too bad. Sounded so promising.

Very nice premises, competent and responsive staff. Solid kitchen. The oysters were perfect. The starters are much too expensive (21 euros for five small, very thin slices of octopus...). We also had the artichoke salad for 19 Euros where the Rucola took up more space than the artichoke. It would be better to call this a rucola salad with artichokes on the side than to call it artichoke salad (where normally the artichoke product should take over the Rucola and not the other way around..). Conclusion : Very good restaurant: competent staff, quality products but a little too expensive for the portions served (mainly starters). Will I return to this restaurant? Only if the prices match the dishes served.

My best meal in Hanover so far. From the appetizer salad to the cheesecake dessert, everything was outstanding. Service is very friendly and not stuffy, atmosphere is very cozy yet chic. Very well cooked by hand, without any complaints from all 5 of us. Large wine list with some of my favorite winemakers. Prices are high, but justified (at most the simpler dishes are a bit too high). In addition to the Maxes in Langenhagen, my highlight so far in Hanover and beyond

I have had the pleasure of visiting Beckers Restaurant twice and both times it was an absolute pleasure! The food is simply outstanding – every bite is a 10/10 and the menu really leaves nothing to be desired. The quality of the ingredients is noticeable and the dishes are lovingly prepared. The cleanliness in the restaurant is also outstanding. You immediately feel at home as everything is immaculate and inviting. A very special highlight is the service. The team is extremely friendly, attentive and ensures that you feel completely comfortable. It's nice to see that not only us, but also our dog Abby is taken care of - unfortunately that's no longer a given these days and is really commendable here! I can only warmly recommend “Beckers” and am already looking forward to my next visit. A real insider tip for everyone who appreciates good food and excellent service!

A really nice restaurant. I ate the menu with the main course of veal cheeks, which was totally well-rounded and extremely seasoned. Especially the veal jus! The selected wine refined the entire menu. The service from all the waiters was very courteous, you could tell that time was being taken here. My first visit to BECKERS made me want to come back. Highly recommended!

This evening was my first time at Beckers and we were really completely satisfied with the evening! A real highlight! The ambience is modern and stylish – perfect for relaxing. The dishes are fresh, creative and prepared with great attention to detail. The roast beef was especially delicious! The service? Fast, professional and always friendly. Everything is just right here. Always present without being intrusive. Here, emphasis is definitely placed on the quality of the staff. 100% a place not to be missed. I'd love to come back!

We got a really tasty gazpachio as a sample portion, then we had the finest fillet of beef, perfect doneness and really great meat, and the delicious panna cotta for dessert. Really great people in the restaurant, the boss is always in a good mood too.

Ein extrem teures Restaurant, die Vorspeise „Matjestartar“ wie ein Amuse-Gueule, wie der Name schon sagt, ein Gruß aus der Küche. Die Hauptspeise Huhn, wurde mit den 2 simplen Beiladen, Ofenkartoffel und 4 Möhren mit 39€ recht teuer. Das ist eine Bewertung von 2024 und nicht von 2030. Bitte die Kirche im Dorf lassen!

We were able to celebrate our civil wedding celebration there with a fantastic 3-course menu. The entire team was just amazing! Super accommodating, every request was met and the food was absolutely fantastic. We have received many compliments from our guests on the great food and service. Thanks to the Beckers team - you did a fantastic job.

Very good, pleasant restaurant. Quiet, stylish ambience. The Pisco sour is excellently mixed! You can tell from the dishes that the ingredients are sourced locally and prepared well. However, there is one star deduction: sometimes less is more: too much sauce, too much puree, too many vegetables. Maybe coordinate the individual components a little better or serve them separately. Conclusion: small points of criticism, but definitely worth coming back!

Fantastic food and very nice service!

A welcoming atmosphere. The service was relaxed, friendly and attentive, as you would expect. Quail breast and char were very tasty. Unfortunately, the green asparagus lacked a bit of flavor. The cheesecake tasted good, but I found it a bit small. I was satisfied with the evening, but I've eaten much better in this price segment, so it's "only" enough for me to get 4 stars.

Ein einladendes Ambiente. Der Service war locker, freundlich und aufmerksam, wie man sich das wünscht. Wachtelbrust und Saibling waren sehr lecker. Dem grünen Spargel fehlte es leider etwas an Aroma. Der Cheesecake war geschmacklich gut, ich fand ihn doch etwas klein. Mit dem Abend war ich zufrieden, allerdings habe ich in dem Preissegment einfach schon deutlich besser gegessen, daher reicht es bei mir "nur" für 4 Sterne.

We have been to Beckers many times and each time we have had a lovely evening. Here too, the Wiener Schnitzel is delicious, the service is incredibly friendly and attentive, so it's always nice for us to be there again. Everything is consistent! Thank you very much!

Wir waren zu 8 im Beckers und sehr zufrieden mit Essen, Getränken und Service. Variationen vom Tartar, Wiener Schnitzel, Pata Negra Kotelett und Maispoularde. Alles lecker, leider waren die Bratkartoffeln kalt - lau warm, wurden aber getauscht. Sehr gutes Angebot an Weinen mit noch akzeptablen Preisen. Vergelegen, Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc oder Franz Keller, Baden „ vom Löss „ für 39,- ist fair. Was den Aufenthalt angenehm machte ist das nette, stets freundliche und fachlich gute Personal. Waren sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal beim Beckers zu Gast.

Well you pay a bit more than usual, but you get a bit more. First class everything. Definitely worth a booking to experience.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir waren an einem Donnerstagabend mit 22 Personen im Becker's und haben ein großartiges Menü mit toller Weinauswahl genossen. Die Abstimmung vorab war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich.

Food mostly good, service could be improved. On the first visit the duck was undercooked, on the second visit the meat was as desired. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired, I always had the impression that the responsibilities were not clear, it was a constant mess. Despite reservations, the two of us got a table in the upper booth, which brought the mood to a standstill. Unfortunately a no-go in this price range.

Ein ganz hervorragendes Menue, dazu ausgesuchte Weine. In einem schönen Ambiente, mit einem sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service. Das war ein schöner Abend, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein tolles Restaurant! Die Gerichte sind hervorragend durchdacht und ausgesprochen lecker. Besonders die Vorspeisen (weißer Thunfisch und Aal/Ochsenschwanz) waren optisch und geschmacklich ein Highlight. Der Service ist hervorzuheben und es war sogar möglich, bei dem Menü einzelne Gänge gegen andere (preisähnliche) Gerichte der à la carte-Karte zu tauschen.

Wir hatten ein „Candlelight-Dinner“ geschenkt bekommen und dieses bei Beckers dann genossen. Da wir vorher noch nie dort waren, ging es völlig unbelastet zum Restaurant. Uns wurde eine kleiner, aber schöner Tisch, ausreichend für 2 Personen zugewiesen, im Hintergrund schöne Musik. Kurze Zeit später gab es auch schon frisches Brot mit leckerem Aufstrich. Wir wurden dann gefragt, ob wir Wein mit oder ohne Alkohol möchten, wir wählten beides, also meine Frau mit und ich ohne, da einer ja Fahren mußte, aber probiert hab ich doch 😉. Das 4 Gänge Menü war dann sehr lecker, richtig toll, zu jedem Gericht der passende Wein bzw. eine alkoholfreie Variante. Insgesamt alles stimmig und wir wurde sehr gut umsorgt, was heutzutage anderswo nicht mehr üblich ist. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt, da die Gerichte und Zutaten sehr hochwertig waren, und gewagte Kompositionen waren absolut stimmig und reine Gaumenfreuden. Ein kleines Manko, zum Candlelight-Dinner gehört eine Kerze, aber so richtig vermisst haben wir die nicht.

Very good food and great service...and the best Wiener Schnitzel in Hanover! Restaurant at a top level without the usual frills.

You come in, initially a pleasant, uncomplicated atmosphere. Upscale pub, normal restaurant. Tables are close together, and right from the start we have to arrange ourselves with other guests when getting up or changing positions. The map is clear, that's OK. Real vegetarians or even vegans are neglected. I can live with this as an optional meat eater. The food is OK. The Iberico pork is dry (you have to get that right first! ;-)), the tartare is very cold and lacks flavor. The suspicion arises that they have just been thawed. Overall, little salt, no appropriate dispensers on the table. Highlight: Macarons! Absolute enjoyment! The toilets: not renovated for a long time, small, clean. Service: not attentive, nicely dressed, but so much of it that there is no shortage. As the evening progresses the shop gets louder and louder Hard to understand, you feel like you're in a bar. We end the evening because we can no longer understand each other. Now to the absolute premium feature: the prices! Conclusion: not a bad shop, with premium standards that they don't live up to. I have no problem paying more for good food with the right ambience, but here the price-performance ratio is not right (more?).

We went to a candlelight dinner by Jochen Schweizer at Beckers. Everything was discussed individually and the food was excellent. The staff was super nice and accommodating. Since we didn't have to pay anything for the evening, it was of course even better. My husband and I agreed that we would go there again.

How lucky are they at BECKERS that I don't live in the List in Hanover. Otherwise they would definitely have to put up with me all the time. Food and ambience simply great. And very attentive service staff. Special praise here. It's pretty rare these days.

Wie befürchtet, war es etwas mühsam einen Parkplatz zu finden. Das Essen und gesamte Aufenthalt lohnen aber diese kleine Mühe. Nette Begrüßung. Aufmerksames, junges Serviceteam. Wir waren zu Viert und alle waren mit ihrem Essen sehr zufrieden. Preislich etwas im gehobenen Bereich, aber für die Qualität absolut ok. Fazit: Wir waren zum ersten Mal in BECKERS Restaurant, ganz bestimmt aber nicht zum letzten Mal.

Ich war nun zum dritten Mal innerhalb der letzten paar Monate im Beckers und war jedes Mal aufs neue begeistert! Die Speisen sind wirklich hervorragend, meine Favoriten sind das Tartar und das Wiener Schnitzel. Aber auch alle anderen Gerichte von denen ich probieren durfte, kann ich nur das Beste berichten. Für ein gehobenes Restaurant möchte ich in diesen Zeiten auch die Wein- und Getränkepreise loben, da ist man mittlerweile leider deutlich schlimmeres gewohnt. Die Atmosphäre und das Publikum ist sehr angenehm. Man kann nett zu zweit Essen gehen, aber auch in größerer Runde und ein wenig feiern, ohne dass man negativ auffällt. Der Service ist insgesamt auch top! Beratung, Auftreten und Kompetenz sind an dieser Stelle von allen Mitarbeitenden hervorzuheben. Ich werde definitiv noch ganz oft hier her kommen!

Das Essen ist immer lecker und auf hohen Niveau zubereitet, so wie die Wein Empfehlung. Ich bin noch nie unzufrieden rausgekommen. Es ist immer ein Besuch wert!

Weihnachten dieses Jahr im Beckers. Ein kulinarisches Fest. Von der Begrüßung an wurden wir bestens betreut. Ein schönes Ambiente mit Wohlfühlfaktor. Der Service war klasse. Ganz herzlichen Dank an das dortige Team. Für uns war es ein wunderschöner Nachmittag

Visited Beckers as a family party of seven. Welcomed and seated promptly. The waiter recommended the duck on the set menu which m6 wife went for and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tests various starters and main courses all of which were superb. Good choice of wines . Great service from the staff and we all enjoyed our visit. Would return if back in Hannover

Das Restaurant ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet, das Essen war ein Traum und der Service lustig, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen wieder! :)

Ich bin wirklich angetan vom Beckers. Ein ganz hervorragender Service und ausgezeichnetes Essen und das alles ohne unnötiges Chichi. Preislich vollkommen angemessen. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort und alles hat reibungslos geklappt. Das einzig kleine Manko sind die schrecklich unbequemen Stühle, die leider so gar nicht zum Verweilen einladen.

Das Essen und der Service waren wirklich toll. Wir wurden eingeladen und hatten ein tolles Menü und eine Auswahl an Speisen. Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten mal.

Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr schön und das Essen geschmacklich eine 10/10. der Service ist unfassbar gut alle 15-20 min wird man gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob man noch etwas möchte. Gerne wieder! :)

Hervorragende deutsche Küche mit zuvorkommendem und sehr aufmerksamem Service. Sei es das Geschmackserlebnis, das uns bei jedem Gang aufs Neue beeindruckt hat oder die mehr als freundliche Begleitung des gesamten Personals plus Weinempfehlung des Sommeliers. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt und werden hier noch viele Male zu Gast sein. Auch während Coronazeiten sind Bestellung und Abholung möglich und mindern keinesfalls den sehr hohen Standard aller angebotenen Gerichte.

Seit Jahren gehen wir ins Beckers, wenn wir einen schönen Abend verbringen wollen. Erst einmal freut es mich, dass es anscheinend wenig Fluktuation beim Personal gibt . Der Service ist kompetent und freundlich und angenehm locker. Das Essen ist immer top. Auf den Punkt gegarter Fisch und Fleisch und sehr gute Qualität der Grund Produkte das schmeckt man einfach. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es Gerichte, die nicht nur Standard sind, wie in so viele Restaurants. Für mich ist das Beckers eine der besten Adressen in Hannover, wenn man leger sehr gut essen möchte

Vollumfänglich ein toller Abend. Die Küche, der Service und der Wein spitze. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung in Hannover.
