Exquisite cuisine in a family restaurant! The food is outstanding. Freshest herbs paired with beautifully presented plates of carved vegetables. No matter whether soups, pasta or rice dishes and of course the most tender meat are served here in exceptional quality. There are also tasty drinks and cocktails. The ambience is rounded off by a harmonious interior including subtle, Far Eastern background sound.

What can I say... You can't get it better in Thailand... Super friendly hosts, authentic food and everything homemade. Pad Thai and green curry are bomb 👍👍 Only recommended!!! However, a reservation is advisable.

No need to head into town! We happened upon this restaurant as we were staying at a nearby hotel. We were lucky enough to get a table .The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, we had a thoroughly lovely evening. We would highly recommend.

Das Bay Jok ist wohl das beste Restaurant mit thailändischen Spezialitäten in Heidelberg. Die meisten Gerichte wie etwa eine Tom Kha Gai- Suppe (diese war die beste, die ich je gegessen habe) kennt man ja, aber das Bay Jok geht hier noch einen großen Schritt weiter: Es bietet auch ganz spezielle Gerichte an, wie sie der Chefkoch aus seiner Region mitgebracht hat. Das gibt es so nirgends. Wir hatten zweimal das Khao Soi, in der Karte die Nr.155, und wir haben sie bestellt, weil wir sie nicht kannten. Das Ergebnis hat uns geschmacklich geflasht. Eiernudeln mit Hühnchen-Umterkeulen in perfekt abgestimmter Mischung aus Kokosmilch, Curry, Zitronengras (hmmm), Galangal, Schalotten, Limetten, Koriander und Lauchzwiebeln ---das ergibt eine Geschmacks-Explosion, ehrlich. Probieren Sie selbst !

We've been here several times so far, even though I'm actually the kind of person who always wants to try out a new restaurant. That alone speaks not only for how good the food is here (especially the starter platter and the green curry are our favorites), but above all for how friendly the service is. Be sure to make a reservation because it gets very crowded here very quickly. What we noticed, however, is that they have designed the restaurant in such a way that there is an unusually large amount of space between the tables. So you don't have the feeling of being restricted just to be able to accommodate more guests. So it's just as suitable for family dinners as well as date nights where you don't necessarily want to sit close to other people. Always my pleasure!

I love Thai cuisine and the food in this restaurant was definitely the best food I have ever had in a Thai restaurant. Everything was freshly prepared, prepared with love and served so nicely - everything was just right. It wasn't just me - the whole family was absolutely thrilled.

I have been eating here regularly for many years and am very satisfied. I don't know a better Asian restaurant in the area than Bay Jok. The quality holds up and has never decreased over the years. The service is friendly, funny and open, for me there is nothing to complain about here. For me, Bay Jok remains the number 1 place to go when it comes to healthy, delicious and fresh food.

The food was really tasty, although the price was rather exorbitant. The service wasn't very friendly and the food took almost 1.5 hours to arrive. We found this block processing terrible and it was incredibly loud and uncomfortable. When I asked after about an hour (everyone else had already had their food) whether they had forgotten us, I was told to be patient. Even if the food was good, the rest was unfortunately not at all good. We're definitely not coming back. There are certainly nicer Thai restaurants in Heidelberg.

I've been there several times, the food is great as always, super tasty but the prices are now extremely high. 10€ for two mini summer rolls, unfortunately the service was very unfriendly for the second time. It's a shame, because the food and ambience are really great.

Great papaya salad but ketchup based Pad Thai, if I have not been to Thailand you could have tricked me. However, this sweet pad Thai(21 Euro) might not taste good for anyone.. only 2 waiters trying to compensate the food for 42 people and one of the waiters is treating you not good. Please do not waste your money by trusting these 4.6 ratings. Management must keep their workers happy!

4 stars because it was good but it didn't blow me away. The vegetarian main courses and starters sound very tasty. The organic vegan ice cream from the Skama Bros in Bahnstadt is also great.

We spontaneously went to dinner and were lucky to get a table; Reservations recommended. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly. The dishes were freshly prepared, authentic and delicious. Only the location right on a main road is a bit like being at a train station.

We ate there for the first time a few days ago and we were very impressed. Everything was right: from first-class service with the right recommendations from starters to dessert. Fresh aromatic and delicious cuisine. The rose wine was uniquely good. Atmosphere very pleasant. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience at Bay Jok. The lady on the phone when making the reservation was a bit unfriendly and that continued with the service. Despite a reservation, we had to wait another 10 minutes outside (we were on time) and the guests who went in shortly after us were allowed to sit down straight away. Unfortunately we were also very disappointed with the food. The first portion of rice was very dry and unfortunately so was the beef in our dish. This is much better. When we then had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the bill, we were completely served (pun intended). Didn't feel welcome and the food wasn't worth the price. Won't be coming back. Very good food. Unfortunately, the service staff was inattentive and not very friendly. We were in the restaurant at 6 p.m. and were only asked for the first time after 20 minutes if we wanted something to drink. The main course came after about an hour and a half. When we made the reservation we were told that we would only have the table until 7:45 p.m. There were just 15 minutes left to eat. Being hungry for a long time and then having to eat quickly is not very pleasant. I won't be going back there any time soon. It's actually a shame because, as I said, the food is very good.

Magical. That's a word that came to mind when I tried the chicken skewer. “That looks nice!” said the young lady who accompanied me when the starter was served. We were late and probably already had 30 Minutes before, the other guests had all placed their orders, but we were still greeted warmly, the service was friendly and quick. For my companion with celiac disease, i.e. a necessary gluten-free diet, there was a special card with clearly stated allergens, which also differentiated the options. The ICE tea was fantastic, the food was a pleasure in every respect. The reference to the spiciness for me, I rarely eat spicy food, just right. We will come again and I will recommend anyone traveling to Heidelberg to eat here.

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. Even though the restaurant doesn't open until 6 p.m., every table was full five minutes later. It was a bit cold in the restaurant, which is unfortunately due to the fact that there is no anteroom and you go into the restaurant directly from the street. Service was nice and drinks came a little late but as I said it was full. The food was delicious, but it cooled down quite quickly. But we'll definitely be back. 👍

The food is really very tasty. But for the price the portions could be larger. Unfortunately, our waitress had Airpods in her ear while serving us all evening and didn't talk to us or interact in any way. When I asked her if the dish was vegetarian, she didn't bat an eyelid and just remained silent. At the end she handed us the bill without saying a word. Something like that really doesn't work. Accordingly, no recommendation.

Always a lovely time whenever I go there, it can be pricy but in my opinion it's very worth it. I say this as each time I go there I think about the food for months until I go back there again. And another note, customers should ideally call for a reservation it gets packed fairly quickly.

We ourselves are restaurateurs with German/Chinese cuisine and were guests here today. Fortunately, we were given a small time slot with a short-term reservation, as the restaurant is completely full when it opens at 6 p.m. I'll keep it short, we've never had such good Thai food in Germany and these dishes can easily compete with our favorite restaurant in Hong Kong. We are happy to give it 5 stars out of conviction and definitely recommend it to our friends and further traveling guests when they end up in Heidelberg. Thank you very much

The food was good, nothing to complain about! It is more the service what ruined the night! There where 2 persons in the service, we had a lady that was so unfriendly to our table. Wenn you take a reservation for 6 people after 20:00 then you know that we will take a little longer. Wen the waitress after 5 minutes rudly came, to ask what we would eat. And was not happy that we need longer to look at the menu. Wenn the food came, it was quick and good! We where sitting to long i think, because the waitress came 5 minutes after we finished our food, that they will close and put directly the Bill on the table. We wanted to pay seperately, but you can only pay cash till 30 euro, nobody know that and there was nothing of a sign for that. We were irritated about that, but complaining against a waitress that don't care about anything and want you out asap, is difficult. Wenn you offer a card payment service, then don't put a stuppid rule that it need to be more then 30 euro. You are in 2024! Yes you need to pay transaction i know that also. Don't be so rude to save your self 15 cent!

We were at BayJok in December as part of a conference and had an excellent meal here. The service was very attentive and was able to respond flexibly to the group's wishes. We would be happy to come back on our next visit to Heidelberg.

The food is to die for! Best Thai restaurant we have been to in Germany so far. There were some very special dishes. The service was also knowledgeable and very friendly. Absolute recommendation!

Booked a table at 8 but reached an hour earlier. It was pouring rain outside so I requested the staff that we can stay in the restaurant till our table is free but unfortunately the restaurant has no possibility for a customer to wait inside the restaurant. I recommend that you should make some arrangements for people to sit and wait for their table if they reach earlier and they can't stay outside coz it's raining.

Unfortunately, we were too quick to decide, didn't make a reservation and therefore couldn't get a seat on Friday evenings, which is why we decided on the to go option. The food was very, very tasty and, apart from the lack of spiciness, very original to real Thai cuisine. We are particularly thrilled because all dishes that do not contain soy sauce are gluten-free. The kitchen was very knowledgeable and the allergen menu was correctly maintained. I had no symptoms although I have celiac disease and become symptomatic with even trace amounts.

Ich bin beeindruckt! Von Anfang an war die Atmosphäre herzlich und einladend. Das Personal begrüßte uns mit einem strahlenden Lächeln, und wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Aber lasst uns über das Wichtigste sprechen: das Essen! Ich entschied mich, die Empfehlung des Hauses zu probieren, und das war definitiv die richtige Entscheidung. Man merkt, dass hier mit Liebe gekocht wird.

Das Essen ist nicht schlecht, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist, bei knapp 17€ für das günstigste Hauptgericht und einer Portionsgröße von dem 1/2 Erwachsener satt wird, absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.

Mega leckeres Essen, für jeden etwas dabei von mild zu ganz scharf und das ganze wie in Thailand und nicht so eingedeuscht. Genau unser Geschmack. Waren mit 9 Personen dort und es ging wirklich schnell. Haben nach einer Auswahl an Essen gefragt und es war kein Problem. Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: Große Getränke :). Reservieren empfohlen.

Sehr feines und leckeres thailändisches Essen. Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut. Die Vorspeisen, Suppen, Salate und der Hauptgang waren qualitativ sehr gut und absolut ausreichend, auch für gute Esser. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Thai Restaurants war die Ente hier sehr zart und delikat. Es waren große Fleischstücke ohne Fett mit knuspriger Haut. Das Lokal scheint sehr beliebt zu sein, deshalb unbedingt rechtzeitig reservieren. Beim nächsten Besuch in Heidelberg werden wir sicher wieder kommen.

Der Serviece sehr freundlich und behielt auch in der Stoßzeit den Überblick und das Lächeln. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier.Ich werde das Restaurant definitiv wieder besuchen und in meinem Umfeld weiter empfehlen.

Ein kleines Familienunternehmen was sich sehr ins Zeug legt. Kurzfristige Sitzplatz Möglichkeiten geschaffen auch bei voller Reservierung. Sehr netter Service, sehr lecker Essen mit relativ geringer Wartezeit. Kleiner negativer Punkt ist. Kartenzahlung ist erst ab 30€ möglich.

Essen war sehr sehr lecker, etwas teurer. Wir haben auf 18:00 Uhr reserviert und als wir ankamen, stand eine lange Schlange an Menschen vor geschlossener Tür. Um Punkt 18:00 Uhr wurde dann eröffnet. Die Kellnerin hat alles gut organisiert.

10/10. I have eaten tons of Thai and this was hands down the best I’ve had. The rice is wild rice (healthier, thank you!), and had REAL, tasty vegetables (not frozen). We also got a duck and chicken pad Thai, and the meat was amazing to accompany the noodles. All around, so impressed…and this was takeout! Lastly, they had a packed house and made time for our takeout. Super appreciated as we had a very hungry two year old. Very impressed and fabulous waitstaff!
