It doesn't taste bad, but the older gentleman (possibly the owner) is very unfriendly.

A true Dortmund institution, one I first visited many years ago. Back then, I'd come all the way from Bergisch Gladbach whenever I was in Dortmund, and now, living in Bochum, I'll visit more often. I don't know a better baguetteria than De Angelo in Dortmund! I was there again just last night! Keep up the good work!

I've been eating there for at least 5-7 years, or even longer, and I've never been disappointed. The prices are top-notch, as are the food, the portions, and the quality. It's fantastic that this place has weathered all the crises of the past few years and continues to deliver. I highly recommend everyone to eat here. Even though the selection on Brückstraße is vast, I still find myself coming back to Angelo's. Everyone I've taken to Do so far has been thrilled.

The former owner opened the shop here in 1984. Delicious, freshly made baguettes that are warm and crispy. Prices are in line with current market prices. There's limited outdoor seating, but more indoors. No restroom.

Unhygienic Behavior – Cell Phone More Important Than Customers The employee was on his cell phone for a long time and barely noticed me. He didn't change his gloves or wash his hands before putting them on the bread. It's unclear what he touched with his gloves beforehand. This creates the impression that customers don't play a role here and aren't sufficiently valued. Last time, I also noticed that the bread rolls hadn't been washed, but it was someone else's baguette (I thought it was a one-off and had been forgotten due to stress).

Never had such delicious baguettes! You can tell that everything is always freshly made and topped here. The baguettes are very large and there is a lot to choose from - especially the tartar sauce and the melted cheese on the baguette were very tasty. For the price you really get a lot and good quality here. The team is very friendly. The shop is definitely the first choice for a delicious and inexpensive snack in Dortmund.

THE baguette shop in downtown Dortmund! Here you can get freshly prepared large baguettes, with a variety of toppings and at fair prices. And this has been the case for decades. For a little holiday flair, Italian music plays (the owners are Italian). The environment takes some getting used to, Brückstr. Wait, it's actually still possible at lunchtime. I would choose d'Angelo over any American store (named like Subway), it just tastes way better.

Actually I love this place a lot. But since the staff kinda changed the food ain't good. Usually their baguette of the day's one of the best but last time I ordered I got one without any sauce just meat. And the next time I ordered I was plain again. In my opinion the woman who works there makes the food not nice at all.

Just wait 20 minutes for a dirty baguette because they only put it in the oven when enough have come together, which is rubbish. At least they're fast. To be fair, I have to say baguettes are great! Catastrophe only happens when things have to happen quickly.

A new baguette restaurant has opened in Dortmund or where do all the fake reviews come from 😂 a bit noticeable.. I've been eating there for years and never had stomach problems or anything. They are always very nice there too. I already had something delivered to my home and it was like being in a restaurant. Unfortunately I haven't been able to order anything there for weeks. wolt and Lieferando take the order but none of d'angelo takes the order even though they are open. So the order is canceled every time. I will be ordering somewhere else from now on. This has already happened five times.

Super cheap, super fast service, super minimal setup! If you still want to eat a baguette with 200 grams of tartar sauce, which really destroys any possibility of distinguishing the flavor of the topping... hey, then this is the perfect shop for you. I somehow remembered it differently, but in the past I was only here at night and a remoulade pasta seemed to fit perfectly.

For 40 years now, we have had plenty of choice with consistently good quality. The selection is large, the goods are fresh and delicious. A well-filled baguette is something different than pizza, fries or kebab. Always happy when you're feeling a little hungry in between or when you're in a hurry
