Backwood Burger in Bad Sachsa

The food is quite good, you really can't complain. The atmosphere is modern, but damn cold. I've never experienced being asked out of a restaurant like that! That ruined our whole evening! Shortly beforehand, my friend ordered another wheat, which she had to down because we were supposed to leave the restaurant. We would have liked to order dessert, but apparently our time was up, which we didn't know about! If there is a time limit, it would have been nice if they had pointed it out to us at the beginning! Then we wanted to pay and a waiter came. We asked him about this time restriction and he abruptly left our table, mumbling something to himself. As if we were stupid children...Why can't we explain this properly?

We come regularly because everything is great. Fresh patties, homemade iced tea and fast service. The prices for this are completely fair and justified. You might want to make a reservation for dinner time, otherwise you won't be able to get a seat (understandably). If you want to eat fresh and delicious burgers again, you've come to the right place!!

We go there often and the quality is always very good. We can't complain. The service is also great. It doesn't take long from ordering to eating. We're always happy to come back!

The burgers here are truly to die for! Whether you fancy something unusual like game and truffles or simply love the classic cheeseburger - everyone gets their money's worth here. Taste and quality are top. The only small negative point: the service seemed a bit overwhelmed, but that's understandable given the rush. All in all a must for real burger fans!

Unfortunately, the BBQ burger wasn't enjoyable. Buns thick and dry. Patty was more of an unsalted, dry, thick little beef patty than a juicy burger patty. Hardly to eat. Make many takeaways better. Service was nice and the atmosphere was really cool. But Fockus needs to focus more on food.

The restaurant is not suitable for people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance! There is a gluten-free burger bun, but despite repeated requests, trace-free cooking cannot be guaranteed. On the allergen menu, the fries are marked as gluten-free, but foods in a batter coating are fried in the same oil. The only options left are drinks and side salads. These were more of a 2/5 in terms of taste.

We were here a few years ago. It convinced us more back then. This time it was okay and the price-performance ratio wasn't great. There was something about every thing that diminished our opinion: Caesar burger sauce was not good at all. Double Smashed wasn't Smashed at all. Dry pulled pork. Delivered through instead of medium. Medium instead of delivered through. The Wagyu burger was way too sweet. The increased use of assistants in the store has resulted in two crockery accidents occurring while we were there. In addition, many of the assistants were so shy that the service could not be perceived as very good.

We are spending our vacation in this city and happened to pass by here. Very nice staff and they also thought of our dog and asked for a drinking bowl (unfortunately too rare in other restaurants. The food was also very tasty and the portions were large enough to fill you up. Excellent citizens with quality that cannot be compared with McDonald's and Co. I can only recommend this restaurant without a guilty conscience!

Food was good, but unfortunately you got the feeling that the staff wasn't motivated. There is still a lot of room for improvement. Otherwise very nice shop.

Luckily we had pre-ordered here before the start of our holiday - without a reservation there was no space at dinner time of 5/6 p.m. The service staff are very quick, friendly and customer-oriented. We didn't wait long for drinks and food. Everything was hot and freshly prepared. We can only recommend the restaurant 😊

Simply great and an absolute recommendation. We were there on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was almost fully booked and yet the waiting time for the food wasn't too long, the food was freshly prepared and very tasty and the waitresses were very friendly.

The Backwood Burger was recommended to us by the Nikolaicafé in Ellrich, so we made a reservation straight away. The really large selection of burgers etc. is very good and it took us a long time to decide because everything sounds delicious. The prices are a bit high, but reasonable. You can choose the burger meat "medium" or "well done" and that's how it is. It was a bit of a shame that the waitresses just work through things and aren't completely attentive. That's why they're friendly. Funny: There is an outdoor shop right next door. Unfortunately it was closed, but it was already after 6 p.m. And at the back there is a climbing hall.

Super nice restaurant mega ambience. We were in the climbing hall and had to stop climbing 15 minutes beforehand because apparently we were blocking the reserved table for too long and the food was ready, which was unfortunately very poor organization (we had booked climbing and eating as a package with previously selected dishes) but that The worst part was that we had to wait almost half an hour for the food. But the staff was very friendly. Then I ordered a coke which took 20 minutes... and to eat: Super good fries. But the burger for the adults, which was ordered medium, was unfortunately more than dead and therefore not that tasty. Otherwise it was great, sauce, salad, bacon, egg, everything was great but the centerpiece was unfortunately messed up. All in all, unfortunately not so pisitive, but not hopeless we will definitely try it again

You can watch the climbing hall and the mountains, delicious food, very nice service. I recommend “The Swiss”. It's a burger with raclette cheese.

There was an additional menu with other exceptional burger 🍔 variations. Lemonade and iced tea were homemade and very tasty 🤤. My daughter had “the best spareribs of her life”. The presentation of the food was also something to behold 👁️. In fact, I've never eaten such a delicious burger before! The caramelized charlottes were a burner 🔥 Always my pleasure.

Very delicious Portobello Mushroom Veggie Burger! Great flavors and the bun was fresh baked and soft. The only thing to critique is the milkshakes. It’s more like milk with flavor than an actual “thick shake”. Tip: reserved a table ahead of time. Shout out to the friendly guy host with the glasses! 🍔✨

Unfortunately, a young man came to eat a burger at your place alone this afternoon and was turned away on the grounds that there was no table for him alone. But the restaurant was hardly attended. Very nice and very good burger shop. Integrated into a café and an outdoor shop. The map is clear but well sorted. Anything you want. Also lots of gluten free offers and more. Unfortunately the service is a disaster! It feels like 8 men are walking through the store. Nobody is paying attention. I was just there for the third time, and you stand at the entrance for 6-7 minutes without being assigned a seat. The shop is almost empty. Only free places. And you can't do it within 15!!! Minutes to bring a card to the table. The atmosphere was very cozy and the burgers were really well made. All very tasty. Prices are a little higher, but you can taste the quality you get here. I won't come back because of the service

We ate here once during our holiday on the recommendation of the manager of the Landal park. The food was fine and most of the service was friendly, but in our opinion the place is a bit too hip for us. We also sat on wooden benches which was not really comfortable. There was also a chef in the background constantly busy smashing schnitzels, which I found very disturbing. And some employees were very agitated. So in terms of food it was fine, but it is not really a restaurant to sit and enjoy for longer.

Exceptionally good food. Across the menu...everything is really top and the service is quick and friendly. However, the prices are quite something.

I've probably been there 10 times now and I'm always thrilled. Super friendly service, a great location, home-minced meat, special beers, very tasty sauces, special fries and the creamy cheesecake is also amazing🤤 Whether it's burgers, ribs, etc. We've never been disappointed. Update: It's been a long time now and it's still absolutely amazing in terms of quality! The table was even decorated with birthday decorations. Always recommended.

We live near Bremen. When we come near Bad Sachsa, we almost always take the opportunity to eat a top-class burger.

Are based on the rating. We've been to many American diner restaurants... maybe it's because we're often in the USA and “know” what it tastes like. The drinks were super tasty! But the food... my pulled pork burger was swimming in water/sauce so that my bun fell apart and the rest including the sauces didn't taste like anything either. It all happened very quickly and it wasn't necessarily hot... unfortunately I can't recommend it in terms of taste. Service was a bit annoyed because of the loud children, which I think is a shame because if you “try” to implement an American concept in Germany you should also take the children’s friendliness into account ;)

Food was good. American diner quality. Service... You can't just walk in. Wanted something to take with you. It took a long time for someone to spot us in the waiting area. The lady then told us that the other colleague would take it with us, so we had to wait again. Order was taken, should only take 15 minutes, not busy, we were told. After waiting 35 minutes we had 3 burgers, 5 nuggets + dip (costs extra), 2 fries and a small salad. The whole thing was almost 58 euros and the dip was missing. But it was delicious. 🤣

The food was great. The burgers tasted great and the fries were great. Unfortunately experienced the worst welcome of my life. We were already thinking about leaving the restaurant afterwards. We had reserved and since we are on vacation and don't know the restaurant, we didn't request to sit inside or outside. For us it didn't matter whether we sat inside or outside. We favored a quiet spot inside. We were told straight away that we didn't have a reservation for outside and were therefore out of luck and would have to sit inside (we didn't ask where we were sitting). On the way to the square we were informed that, despite reservations, there was only room for us in the last corner. I have never been greeted with such condescension and have never been made to feel so directly that I was too stupid to make a good reservation. The bottom line is that the place was perfect for us and the service staff should fundamentally rethink their behavior. Unfortunately, giving the customer a bad feeling at the start and not greeting them in a friendly manner is modest.

The food was very tasty, although quite jalapeno-heavy. The spiciness of the food naturally brought with it the corresponding thirst. Unfortunately, empty glasses were overlooked for a relatively long time. The service was very nice and the order was delivered very quickly. All in all, definitely a recommendation! It was our first time there, but definitely not the last time!

I can only recommend calling before visiting! We went hiking yesterday and wanted to stop there around half past eight and have dinner. We had planned the hiking route specifically so that we would get there in time to be able to eat there because our visit there 3 years ago was really good. Unfortunately there was nothing left for us to eat there and only the statement “If nothing is going on, we will close early. You should have called." It's a shame, but paying customers are lost. However, I can only recommend Pizzeria Mamma Mia!

We were helped fairly quickly and then received our drinks and food quite quickly. My wife asked for beer without alcohol because she was pregnant, but was given “alcohol-free beer” (so up to 0.5% alcohol). The clerk did not know that this beer actually contains alcohol. The food was tasty, the quantity is fine, although I can imagine that for some it is a bit on the small side. We waited more than 20 minutes for the second beer, after which it turned out that something had gone wrong. We waited a very long time for dessert due to lack of staff. Then another non-ordered beer was served, for which we thanked. We were disappointed with the bill (higher than we expected, perhaps due to the somewhat chaotic service), but because we did not receive a receipt (?) there was nothing to check. In short: the food is tasty, but the experience was unfortunately somewhat disappointing in the end.

It was a super delicious burger (and I'm not good at burgers), the drink was just as good. There was even service for the dogs. About 400 for 3 people and we were full. We sat outside and it was quite nice.

In Bad Sachsa am Montag Abend etwas Essen zu bekommen ist echt anspruchsvoll. Viele Restaurants haben ihren (wohlverdienten?) freien Tag. Hier aber wurden wir 15 Minuten vor Küchenschluss noch freundlich begrüßt und bekamen ein tolles Abendessen serviert. Wir können nicht genug schwärmen und möchten Euch empfehlen, dort einzukehren. Frische Zutaten und pfiffige Rezepte. TOP!

Backwood Burger in Bad Sachsa is a real insider tip and absolutely recommended! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the rustic and cozy atmosphere. The lovingly designed interior with lots of wood and stylish decorations creates a warm and inviting ambience in which you immediately feel at home. The menu offers an impressive selection of handcrafted burgers, all made fresh. I had the pleasure of trying the “Pulled Pork Burger” and absolutely loved it. The bun was baked to perfection, the meat was tender and juicy, and the combination of fresh ingredients and homemade sauces was simply unbeatable. Every bite was a delight! The side dishes also leave nothing to be desired. The fries were crispy and golden brown, and the salads were fresh and crunchy. I would particularly like to highlight the homemade dips, which give the whole thing that certain something. The service at Backwood Burger is also top notch. The staff is friendly, attentive and always strives to provide guests with a great experience. You can immediately tell that the work here is done with heart and passion. Finally, I can only say that Backwood Burger in Bad Sachsa is a must for all burger lovers. The quality of the food, the cozy atmosphere and the excellent service make this restaurant a real highlight. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to try more burger creations. That's what I call good feedback on criticism from the customer. Cheers! 7/19/24: Unfortunately, I have to change my review. The quality of the food is still very good. Negatively, and once again, is the possibility of making a reservation. A few months ago we spontaneously went to Bad Sachsa and although the tables were empty, we were sent away on the grounds that all seats were reserved. When we were thinking about where we could go as an alternative in front of the restaurant, we noticed that another group had a table got without having reserved in advance. When we asked, we were allowed into the restaurant. That was already a negative experience, but today it topped it all! We reserved a table online three weeks ago and also received confirmation that we would get a seat outside. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time, we noticed that someone in front of us said, “We always come here and we really want a table outside” and a table was immediately prepared for this person. When I made my reservation, I was told that there were no free tables outside and that we were unlucky because there were already others who had reserved and we then had to take a seat in the restaurant. I think it's an absolute absurdity that places are given away when you're on time for the agreed date (we were even there 10 minutes beforehand) and you don't get the table you agreed on. Then you don't even need to make a reservation. It's also a shame that the only comment from the service staff was, "That's just the way it is, they were unlucky." If it hadn't been the weekend and all the other restaurants were full because the weather was good, we would have left the restaurant immediately. There was no discount, no little something for the children - nor a liquid apology like you would expect from other good restaurants. It's a shame, you really have to think about whether you want to continue to recommend the Backwood! Old: Quality and friendliness great! We'd love to come back
