We love eating here. Delicious burgers, lots of choices, and you can also add or subtract things and swap them on the burgers. The different mayos are always great. My favorites: smokey, onion. The side dishes are great, desserts are delicious. The drinks also have a good selection and are delicious. Something for everyone :) The service is always nice and friendly. It can sometimes be a bit loud and hectic when it's busy.

We were there for a children's birthday party with eight girls. You took such great care of everything, both before and during the meal. Special requests and food intolerances were no problem, and everyone felt very comfortable. The nuggets were truly delicious, not run-of-the-mill! And the burgers for the adults were truly delicious and beautifully prepared.

Great burger restaurant! The restaurant has a simple, rustic charm, some with views of the Click'n'Climb area. There's a very good selection of drinks, including some delicious non-alcoholic cocktails. The burger selection was also varied (the special included a wild boar burger), and the flavors lived up to their promise. The regular fries were also really good, although we've had better sweet potato fries. The dips, especially the sour cream, which is especially recommended for garlic lovers, were also very tasty, and there was a wide selection. The dessert seems to come from the same production facility as the cakes at the café next door and was also very enjoyable. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us wonderful advice, while the other colleague seemed a bit unmotivated.

We had delicious burgers. They have a wide selection, including sauces (I particularly enjoyed the teriyaki mayonnaise). They also offer bowls and salads, all of which also include dishes for vegetarians or vegans. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and efficient. We'll definitely be back during our vacation 😊. Highly recommended....delicious burgers...great atmosphere

Everything was perfect! Only the prices are a bit too high. No matter. As regular customers, we'd still happily return, although they're comparatively quite expensive. The burgers are absolutely unique and fantastic! I can't think of any better ones.

Extremely delicious burgers! 🍔 I had the Al Caponi – the meat was perfectly medium, super juicy, and a real highlight. We had lunch here yesterday and are still thrilled. The selection of burgers and dishes is huge, and the creative combinations make it so special. The blue cheese on my wild boar patty, for example, was excellent.

We were very disappointed today! The burgers had significantly decreased in quality and size. The coleslaw salad was inedible. The homemade lime lemonade was so sweet and syrupy that it was impossible to drink. We've been there several times, but today it left us speechless and, unfortunately, our stomachs upset as well. I won't even speak of the value for money. We won't be coming back. But everyone should form their own opinion. After a long time, we went there again today – hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, we discovered that nothing had changed since our last visit. The quality still leaves a lot to be desired. There were clearly noticeable pieces of gristle in the patty, and the goat cheese was barely caramelized – these are subjective impressions, but unfortunately, the problems don't end there. All six of us had stomach problems afterward. One person even vomited, and another developed diarrhea. After these two truly disappointing and now health-related visits, we're certain: This was definitely the last time. The staff was friendly and helpful as always—that certainly wasn't the problem. Nevertheless, this is no longer an option for us.

The quality of the food and this restaurant is beyond five stars, and has been for many years! Whether it's burgers, desserts, coffee, or the staff—everything is top-notch. As a Berliner, you're even a little jealous that we don't have something like that (at least I haven't discovered it yet). Thank you, and please keep it up!

We go to Backwoods often. It's always very nice; everything is perfect. The food, no matter what it is, we've tried and drunk everything. Everything is highly recommended, and they even cater to vegetarians. If you're looking to try something different, this is the place for you!

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and prompt. However, I remember that in the past, 1) there was a larger selection of craft beers on the menu and 2) a larger selection of vegan dishes. Unfortunately, there was only one item on the menu for each, which is a shame. The two-seater seat in the private area with a view of the climbing gym is uncomfortable; you feel like you're cornered, and it's especially pointless when the climbing gym is closed. I would refuse to sit there next time. As I said, the food is very good and delicious, so Backwood is definitely worth a visit.

We were there with our little boys, and it was simply delicious for all of us! Filling the kids' cups with tap water was no problem, and they were given something to draw. I would like to correct my review, as the error was largely mine, and I thank Sascha for the excellent customer service. The website actually states several times that online ordering does not include delivery. However, I would still recommend making this clearer. We are two hungry millennials who only read the word "order" and completed the rest of the ordering process intuitively, without reading it carefully, and without realizing that we would then have to pick up the food ourselves. The food is great, but the pickup process could be made a bit more convenient. (Instead of customers having to stand in that narrow aisle to pick up their food, you could, for example, create some kind of seating for those waiting. The small tables at the reception of the climbing park would certainly be very suitable for this. That way, you don't feel too much like you're blocking the way for other guests when you're standing right next to the "Please wait here" sign. As someone with social anxiety, this was extremely uncomfortable for me. Otherwise, everything was great, and the whole Basecamp is a really great concept. This was also evident in the high number of visitors.

Five years ago, things were completely different... my rating was still 5 stars! We eat here regularly. The staff used to be much more attentive, but it takes a while to get our drinks and food orders. The food takes quite a while, and the food tastes good but nothing special (there used to be more love in it). All the drinks are empty. Several servers walk past them blindly several times. They would have liked more, but even when we tried to make contact to take a new order, there was no response. Unfortunately, we haven't seen the boss on the team for a while (perhaps we were here at the wrong time), but maybe we should add him as an improvement; we've really enjoyed coming here over the past few years!

I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant before! There were three of us, and we weren't exactly greeted warmly from the start (but we didn't have a reservation either). We were then told that a larger group was coming and they were making an exception, but we should hurry up with our orders and eating. Okay, said and done. One of us got his burger very quickly, which annoyed the people behind us, as they hadn't even received tickets even though they'd been sitting for a while. No napkins were provided with the burger; my colleague had to ask for them (okay, that can happen under stress). When I finally got my burger, no napkins were provided either, which I had to mention again (they could have put out more). We also had chili cheese fries with pulled pork. As for the burger: the taste was good, but it didn't even come close to justifying the price. About €16 for a burger roughly the size of a Big Mac (maybe a bit more). We're still talking fast food here! At that price for a burger without any toppings, I'd expect the full package. That means the best beef from an organic farm, as well as the salad or home-grown. And especially with the bun, I'd expect it to be homemade. But the bun in particular was a no-go. A brioche like you'd find at a discount store, and not even really toasted. I've had it differently at lower prices. Now for the pulled pork fries: an official price of 20 euros! For what? Just like with the burger, I would have expected the best of the best. But no! Homemade fries? Absolutely not! At least, they didn't taste that good. The taste was okay, but definitely not for that price, and especially not for that portion size. They would have had to supply special meat like Iberico or Duroc. As I said, we're still talking about "fast food" here. Although we were told to hurry up at the beginning, nobody was in a hurry with the bill in the end. And considering that everything was booked, there were plenty of empty seats around us. We were then asked if we were satisfied with the meal and gave our opinion. This was accepted, but the waitress seemed very disinterested and told us that the price would be even more expensive in the future. Well, thank you very much! We will definitely never eat there again! There are certainly plenty of restaurants with better value for money! If I could, I wouldn't give it a star! The one star, at most, is for the taste!

Delicious food, delicious cocktails. Service was simply terrible. We got up and paid at the front, even though it wasn't really busy. It was actually a nice place, but the benches were very hard without cushions. We were seated in a corner where it echoed, and it was incredibly warm and stuffy. We could hear the couple in the other corner feeling the same way...

Unfortunately, we weren't thrilled this time. We wanted to celebrate our graduation, but were ultimately disappointed. 😢 The meals are no longer as good as they were 2-3 years ago. The burgers were also relatively small, and the dishes weren't filling. The price for four dishes was high at €87.00. Unfortunately, my BBQ burger, for example, was partially burnt. Added to that was the long wait of an hour, which felt longer. The staff was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed. We went home disappointed and sad. Hopefully, things will improve soon. 🙏

Hello! We've been there three times already, after visiting the knitwear company (I didn't want to name them, but they're known). We can't find anything to complain about. The service was always friendly and attentive. If you have questions or ask for recommendations, they're always well-prepared and helpful. I always give the food 4 stars, but that's not meant to be negative. We personally like the variety of sauces and burger creations. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Many places offer burgers, but here you get good quality at a reasonable price. Different buns and cooking options for the patties on the menu. The burger, cooked medium, was slightly pink, appetizing to look at and served with a delicious house sauce. Backwood Burger is recommended and we will happily come back.

Top burgers in a relaxed atmosphere During our holiday in Bad Sachsa we had dinner at Backwood Burger – and it was a hit. This is not a standard eatery, but a modern and attractively decorated burger restaurant with attention to quality and experience. The menu is clear but varied, with original burgers that are slightly different from what you usually encounter. You can taste that good, fresh ingredients are used. The rolls are nice and crispy, the meat perfectly grilled and the combinations well thought out. The fries were also great - crispy and well seasoned. There was also plenty of choice for the children. The service was friendly, smooth and attentive. You feel welcome and at ease, and the atmosphere is relaxed and contemporary – perfect for a night out without fuss, but with good food. We were very pleased with the quality and taste. In our opinion, Backwood Burger is highly recommended if you are in Bad Sachsa and fancy a good burger in a nice setting.

Unfortunately, we were anything but enthusiastic either. Nice team, reasonably pleasant atmosphere and the service was also okay. But the food. The food was so quiet and tasted nothing at night. It felt like there was zero seasoning and all the fancy ideas with certain sauces and random ingredients on the burger were anything but tasty. 2 stars for the service and the ambience, but I have to deduct 3 stars because the most important thing - the taste, was unfortunately not convincing at all.

A visit to the Backwood Burger is just as much a part of our Harz holiday as climbing in the Clip'n'Climb. The selection of burgers is huge, so there is something for every taste, the BBQ sauce is outstanding and the service is always attentive and friendly.
