I spontaneously ate a fiery Argentinian sirloin steak here on the recommendation of my guesthouse. Both the meat and the pepper sauce and salad were delicious. I liked the service; it was very friendly and the wait wasn't long. The restaurant was busy, but there were still seats available (Tuesday evening).

We were here for the first time today. I reserved a table by phone and told the friendly staff member that my wife is lactose intolerant. He said they would always find a solution/alternative. I can only confirm this. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the portions are very generous and delicious. If it weren't so far from Bremen, we would definitely eat there more often. We highly recommend the Saxa restaurant; it's worth it.

We visited on a Wednesday evening. The food was freshly prepared, very tasty, and the portions were generous. The service was attentive and friendly, yet unobtrusive. The dining room and restrooms were clean. A very professionally run restaurant. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

Really delicious food. Unfortunately, due to a lack of staff, the wait times were very long. We waited half an hour for our order to be taken. Despite having a reservation in the club room, we were seated at the bar area. It was a bit hectic there, and the waitresses seemed stressed.

I was completely satisfied. Despite the rush hour, everything went smoothly.

Unfortunately, you have to give the food at least one star. I ordered rump steak and pork loin here today. The rump steak was, at best, a discount store rump steak. It was covered in tons of side dishes and an unidentifiable sauce, completely laced with tendons and fat. After I complained, it was returned without any problems (it speaks for itself!). Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it... The pork loin was cheap, tough pork, cut from a long way away from the loin. I have no idea if the management has changed here; we had a really good meal here a while ago (over a year ago)... At least the service was very friendly and, let's say, "professional" and understanding.

Three of us went to Saxa in Bad Sachsa and were completely thrilled. Two of us had Wiener Schnitzel, one had salmon on a bed of vegetables – everything was perfectly prepared, fresh, and delicious. The desserts were also a delight. The service was very friendly and attentive despite the full house. Tip: It's best to call ahead and reserve a table, as it gets quite busy. We'd love to come back!

If you're looking for something special, this is the place to go! Very friendly and attentive service, a cozy atmosphere, and the food was lovingly prepared and decorated. Good portions and reasonable for the price! We ate the following: breaded pork loin schnitzel, fish platter, pollock fillet, and veal steak...for dessert: chocolate mousse and ice cream sundae. The meat was cooked to perfection, very tender. The fish was fresh, not too dry, and perfectly cooked. The mango chutney with the fish was divine, and the other sauces were also truly fresh and not pre-made mush. The chocolate mousse...beyond words, so creamy, so delicious, no dark chocolate used. A dream!! It won't be the last time we're here.

I would like to give more stars if it were possible. We stumbled upon Saxa quite spontaneously while on vacation. I reserved a table at very short notice. We haven't eaten this well in a long time. Even the nuggets on the kids' menu are homemade. The portions are just right. The food was ready very quickly, and everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. My personal icing on the cake: there was just enough sauce for all the dishes 🤩 Top-notch food, very attentive staff. We'll definitely be back.

Not recommended. The food is very greasy and lacks flavor. The sauces are made with instant powder and mayonnaise. For the price, I expect good-quality ingredients and not ready-made meals from a packet. The service is very friendly.

We were here for the first time today. The food was beautifully presented, the portions were generous, and we enjoyed it immensely. We had the fish platter and the Saxa platter. Note: The prices on the online menu are no longer correct. Everything is significantly more expensive. The fish platter actually costs €25.70 instead of €17.60, and the Saxa pan now costs €24.50 instead of €16.60. A tip for the owners: It would be good if the online prices were adjusted to reflect such a stark difference.

The ambience of Saxa is stylish and cozy at the same time, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We felt warmly welcome from the start. We were particularly impressed by the variety of the menu, which offers something for every taste. We can fully recommend the Saxa restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The SAXA Restaurant convinced me across the board. The warm and attentive service creates an atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home - here they don't just serve, they live real hospitality. With over 10 years of experience in the kitchen and 5 years of experience in nutritional science, I know what is important and can say: the quality of the food is excellent. I ordered the plaice fillet with remoulade sauce and fries, and it was an absolute delight! The fillet was perfectly prepared - tenderly crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy on the inside. The homemade remoulade sauce was a highlight: finely balanced, with a freshness that went perfectly with the fish. The fries were also excellent - crispy, golden and salted to perfection. A big compliment to the kitchen team, who show precision craftsmanship and passion in every detail. For anyone looking for good food in a cozy atmosphere, the SAXA Restaurant is an absolute recommendation.

What started as a very nice evening ended as a big disappointment. It is a popular restaurant because you cannot go to them without a reservation. And I wish them that very much. That's why we walked past the restaurant yesterday during a walk to make a reservation. That was no problem at all and we were able to arrive today at 6 p.m. We wanted to eat here sometime so we were happy that we could visit them before the end of our holiday. Once there we had a table with a large group, but that was no problem and it was very pleasant. The food was very tasty but perhaps a bit too much for Dutch standards, but that didn't spoil the fun. Things only went wrong when my girlfriend went to the toilet and one of the waitresses asked if everything was ready. I asked if I could still see the dessert menu, but that was not possible. Our time was up and we had to leave because the next guests were already waiting! The waitress said yes, if you reserve online you only have 2 hours. But I indicated that we walked in here yesterday to make a reservation, so we did not make a reservation online. When my girlfriend came back from the toilet, we had to pay immediately and left out the tip. We were able to leave the building with a poor apology and a comment that the online reservations were not yet working properly. Once outside, my girlfriend told me that we were not even there for 2 hours, but for an hour and a half. From 6:00 PM to 7:34 PM. I think it's a really big disappointment. The prices on the menu do not match the food bar concept with different food blocks. This is more of a restaurant where you should be able to sit and enjoy the whole evening and not run out of time after two hours or in our case after an hour and a half without even knowing it. I would have liked to leave a positive review, but that would have been unjustified in this case.

In my opinion one of the better dining options in Bad Sachsa. Quality and friendliness are the focus here. This is the second time I have eaten here with my fiancée and each time we have been pleasantly surprised. The food is prepared with love and you can tell from the starter to the main course. The meat is perfectly prepared. And your plate is plenty full. Highly recommended if you stay overnight in the small Bad Sachsa

The "Saxa" is a restaurant in the "heart" of the city. We were here for dinner. The drinks were quickly at the table and the order for the food was taken quickly. We each ordered a salad for the starter. The main courses were the " Saxa pan", the "pork fillet medallions" and a "trout fillet". Everything was excellently cooked, hot and attractively presented. The portions were noticeably large and justified the price. A big compliment to the service. We would love to come here to eat again.

The food was great, the Wiener Schnitzel was one of the best I've eaten so far. Service was also good. The only negative thing was that you couldn't pay with American Express, even though it was advertised at the entrance.

We ate here with 2 adults and a child for 2 years. We were greeted very friendly and the little one was immediately offered a chair and meals were brought to the table. The food was very tasty and the portions were completely sufficient…. We will definitely come back to eat with you...

Inspired by the many good reviews, we tried this restaurant and were not disappointed. Very large and tasty portions, which are absolutely appropriate for the price and are served by the attentive and friendly team. Nothing works here without a reservation - no wonder given how popular it is. The cozy atmosphere inside and, when the weather is nice and warm, the outdoor terrace also invites you to linger. Conclusion: Everything was a success and a real recommendation in Bad Sachsa for people with a great hunger for delicious food.

We had dinner there with the family yesterday and everyone was absolutely thrilled. Great card, there was something for everyone. The food was so plentiful that I couldn't fit any dessert. You should reserve in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to get a table.

We had dinner here for the first time today. We had pre-ordered a table for 4 by phone a week in advance, but they apparently didn't know anything about it on site. The restaurant was busy (Tuesday), so I was briefly worried that we would be allowed to leave again. The service person came 3 times and asked who we made the reservation with, whether it was a man or a woman, etc. ...that could also be made much more hospitable. You felt like a liar and asking questions didn't solve the problem. Ultimately we were assigned a table with a “roll of our eyes”. There were also a few tables available, which remained free during our stay or were occupied by walk-in customers. The menu is clear and the dishes are all very easy to read. The drinks came quickly and were fine, only the cola was barely carbonated and wasn't completely cold either. The starters came quickly, unfortunately the carpaccio was overloaded with oil-vinegar-mustard dressing and therefore extremely sour. I like it sour, but this was too much even for me. The meat was also so thin that it was sometimes difficult to scrape it off the plate. The main courses (schnitzel champi + veal steak) were very tasty and came quickly. We were tempted by mousse au chocolat, unfortunately the creme brulee was sold out shortly beforehand. The dessert was very tasty. Children's meals were good, value for money was reasonable. 125 € for 2x 3 courses and 2x 2 children's courses plus 5 drinks. The service staff were quick, friendly and attentive, without the fuss about the reservation it would have been 5 stars. We'll come back when we get the chance.

The food was okay, but nothing special. Meat was quite good, the side dishes were unfortunately frozen. What was really a shame, however, was that, contrary to the restaurant's "motto" - which is also printed on the menu - you didn't feel welcome at all. We made a reservation online, were seated by a very friendly waitress and then had to listen to the other waitress telling her off because we hadn't made a reservation. She then complained loudly to the chefs twice again, all within earshot. When she finally came to take the order and asked us if we had received a confirmation email, I pointed out to her that it wasn't very hospitable to behave like that. Unfortunately, the lady didn't react very well. It's a shame, we won't be able to visit again.

We were there in the evening as a larger family. The service was very friendly and quick from the start. The drinks came quickly and so did the starter soups. All soups were a poem and can only be recommended. The main courses came quickly and everyone came together. Everyone enjoyed it excellently. The wine was also good. After dessert we all went home happy. Keep it up.

We ate here with about 10 people and didn't have high expectations but were pleasantly surprised. The food all came at the same time, was visually appealing and tasted really excellent. From before to dessert. Meat and fish fried to perfection and everything else really delicious. In addition, attentive service and reasonable prices that I would even classify as inexpensive. We were all completely satisfied. Unfortunately I can rarely say this but I would recommend this restaurant without reservation. We will definitely come here again when we are in the area again. Keep it up. Anyone who likes to eat well will be happy here.

It was Christmas Day. Despite the restaurant being full, people asked if something else could be served. The food was very good and also something different.
