Harzer Winkel in Bad Sachsa

Pleasant atmosphere, small menu with limited choices! Good, traditional German cuisine. The staff is friendly.

A warm, welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and truly delicious food, just like grandma's! Reservations might be worthwhile, but we were lucky.

We visited this small, charming restaurant on a Monday evening and had "fried chanterelles in herb scrambled eggs on homemade hash browns and grilled bacon," as well as "Alsatian tarte flambée with ham, scrambled eggs, and smoked salmon." Both dishes were delicious, and the service was extremely attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

We reserved a private room for 22 people and everything was wonderful. The staff did an amazing job with such a big group (including children). The food was really delicious with generous portions. The room was cosy and comfortable with lovely autumn decoration. Thank you!

We spontaneously stopped by the Harzer Winkel restaurant on the last day of our vacation and were absolutely thrilled. It's a somewhat hidden restaurant. We were very impressed by the extremely friendly service. The menu is small but surprisingly good. The potato pancakes were phenomenal, as was the duck with mushrooms and dumplings. It's a shame we only discovered this place on the last day. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening. We felt very comfortable.

A quiet restaurant near a guesthouse, with some outdoor seating. They apparently specialize in rösti dishes. I tried the rösti with mushrooms. The food is typical German farmhouse fare. Hearty, warm, simple, and filling. Pleasant service.

This was my first time at the guesthouse. There's absolutely nothing to complain about. The price was unbeatable. I added the very generous breakfast, and the day can begin. There's absolutely plenty of everything. The owners are very friendly. I can only recommend it. I give it all the stars. Keep it up!

We spent a week in Bad Sachsa. We reserved a table here for our very first evening. A stroke of luck: The table was already set appropriately. Every dish was freshly prepared, the drinks were excellent, and the service was very attentive and friendly. Each of us, five people, enjoyed the food so deliciously, and we were so well looked after throughout the evening that we spent two more wonderful evenings here that week. We were guests at the Harzer Winkel with 5 people and two dogs and I have to say it was excellent!!! Service was super nice and open to all wishes. The food was excellent, everything was homemade and prepared with a lot of love. We were so excited that we ate there three times and always went home happy. Thank you Hinze family.🫶

We had a cozy little room for two nights. Rooms are lovingly furnished and clean, welcome drink in the room and private shower room with toiletries. The breakfast for €7.90 per person is great, very rich with fresh rolls every day, sausage/cheese buffet, jams, orange juice, eggs and coffee, all served at the table. The lady of the house is very friendly and attentive. "We'll have another nightcap" turned into 4 hours at the bar, a few more drinks and lots of nice conversations with Ms. Hinz. The house is centrally located, all of the town's amenities are within easy walking distance and the many hiking trails in the area are also easy to reach. Clear recommendation from us. Incredibly delicious food, really unusual, what a taste

Very cozy little restaurant, very nice service, patient with planning a buffet for a large group, very friendly and nice if you are there with a lot of children. You don't always get that in other restaurants. Good home-style food. Everything clean and nicely decorated.

Rarely have I seen such a great, lovely, nice person. I felt like I was at home. My dogs were more than welcome here. Room great, clean and tidy. What more could you want?! Breakfast is a dream!!! Something for every taste! One thing I already know is that I would love to come back.

The restaurant has had its best times, but it is still quite cozy. The beer garden invites you to linger. Unfortunately the food (flambée) was from the freezer. But it tasted good and the price was acceptable. The service was super nice and very accommodating. But there won't be a second visit.

I stayed in the Harzer Winkel again for several nights. Ms. Hinz runs this guesthouse with great passion and I didn't miss anything as a guest. The breakfast is plentiful and contains regional products, which I really appreciate as a guest. The rooms are clean and meet all modern standards, Wi-Fi is available. The interior of the restaurant is quaint and rustic, which reflects the old charm of Bad Sachsa. If you are looking for a typical tourist restaurant, you have come to the wrong place. This is a small and cozy restaurant with very friendly service. The menu may not be extensive, but there is something for everyone. And eat that? It is clearly prepared with love and tastes excellent. We had a delicious meal here and it was a nice end to our stay in Bad Sachsa. Thank you!

The ambience is a bit old, but the service was very friendly and knew a lot about the ingredients and preparation of the food. Which shows that the food is fresh and homemade. Food tasted excellent. Even if the menu is small, you should find something for yourself. The interior is a bit wildly put together, you have to like it.

Ein kleines und nettes Restaurant in der Stadtmitte von Bad Sachsa. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und wurde mit Liebe hergestellt und serviert. Die Bedienung war freundlich und Hilfsbereit bei unseren (Änderungs-)Wünschen. Wir werden gerne wieder dort Essen gehen.

Erstklassiges Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung und eine familiäre Atmosphäre zeichnen dieses Restaurant in besonderem Maße aus. Alles wird frisch zubereitet, sehr schmackhaft und gute Portionen. Die Karte ist in der Tat recht übersichtlich, aber es ist für Jede und Jeden etwas dabei. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen. Weiter so !

Als wir unseren letzten Urlaubsabend in Bad Sachsa hatten und wir von Schwiegereltern mit einem Besuch überrascht wurden, waren wir dort zum Abendessen. Wir kamen mit unserem Hund und wurden super nett empfangen . Bevor wir unsere Getränke bekamen wurde erstmal unsere Fellnase mit frischem Wasser versorgt 🐕👍👍🐕. Das Essen war sehr lecker, Portion war gut und es wurde auch auf Änderungswünsche eingegangen. Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist angemessen. Da wir im Ort in einer Ferienwohnung waren und auf die Frage ob man in diesem Haus auch mit Hund übernachten kann, wurde auch mit ja sehr gerne beantwortet. Man darf wenn man möchte, sogar seinen Vierbeiner mit zum Frühstück bringen. Bei unserem nächsten Harz Urlaub würden wir gerne dort übernachten . Der Harzer Winkel ist ein schönes kleines Restaurant, was auch eigentlich einen guten Eindruck macht. Die Dame im Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam gewesen. Leider wurde unser Aufenthalt etwas getrübt, da wir zu unserem Vorspeisensalat ein nicht mehr so ganz frisches Dessing bekommen haben. Nach dem Hinweis und der Bitte um ein neues Dressing bekommen wir das gleich nochmal nur umgefüllt in einer anderen Flasche. Das hat dann leider den gesamten Aufenthalt sehr getrübt.

Es war ein rundum super Aufenthalt. Zimmer sauber und gepflegt, Essen preiswert und super gut. Aber am besten war die liebevolle Art der Gastgeberin. Auch unsere Hunde haben sich hier wohl gefühlt, dank extra im Zimmer bereitgestelltem Futter- und Wassernapf. Vielen Dank !!!

Das beste Restaurant in Bad Sachsa! Die Standardkarte ist schon toll (unbedingt die Gemüsespaghetti mit Lachssteak probieren), aber die Tagesangebote sind das I-Tüpfelchen! Übrigens: nirgendwo gibt es köstlichere Apfelküchlein! Das Ehepaar Hinz ist einfach geboren für die Gastronomie. Sie lieben ihre Arbeit, darum ist einfach jede Einkehr dort rundum gelungen.

Uriges Ambiente mit deftig, guter, deutschen Küche. Eine Speisekarte mit überschaubarer Auswahl, was für mich ein Zeichen für frische Zubereitung ist. Eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung die uns freundlich gegenüber trat. Gerne wieder :)

Über die Empfehlung einer Bekannten buchten wir dort eine Übernachtung mit einem wirklich ausgezeichneten Frühstück!! und sehr netten Gastgebern. Abendessen hatten wir auch dort, wir können Gerichte mit den hausgemachten Röstis empfehlen

Absolut empfehlenswerte, gemütliche und preiswerte Pension. Die Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit der Wirtin ist mir so in Erinnerung geblieben, dass ich ein zweites Mal buchte und dann spontan den Aufenthalt verlängern konnte. Ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder Ausflüge in den Harz. Alles gepflegt, sauber und sichtlich mit Liebe gestaltet. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

We arrived here after a 6 hour drive on the begin of our vacation, we where a party of 2 adults and 1 child. We felt right at ease, even though the wonderful woman that seems to do everything, does not speak English. Food was delicious, very good schnitzel and delicious desserts, would have no hesitation in visiting again.

Sehr gutes Essen mit sehr freundlichem Service

Wir haben auf Durchreise eine Nacht dort verbracht. Es war alles sehr sauber und geräumig. Der Empfang und der Service durch die Eigentümerin waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war erste Sahne. Von Allem, was man für ein gutes Frühstück braucht, war genug vorhanden. Einen Stern habe ich nur deswegen abgezogen, weil es leider keine Zimmer mit Balkon gibt, dafür ist aber der Biergarten sehr schön. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Top

Tolles Ambiente, nette Bedienung

Wir waren gestern im Harzer Winkel. Mit zwei Kindern waren wir die ersten Gäste und obwohl es keine Kinderkarte gibt, wurden die Kinder bestens umsorgt und waren am Ende froh, dass es nicht wieder Chicken Nuggets und Pommes gab. Das Essen für die Erwachsenen war sehr, sehr gut. Leckere Hausmannskost mit modernem Pfiff gekocht. Sowohl ein Kartoffelgratin mit Lachs, Lauch und Dill, die Schweinemedaillons mit Senfsauce, Kartoffelplätzchen und Gemüse, als auch die Thüringer Klöße mit Gemüse, Sahnesauce und Filetspitzen waren wirklich ausgezeichnet und handwerklich hervorragend zubereitet. Der Service war sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Wir gehen heute erneut hin.

Gestern Abend sind wir wieder im Harzer Winkel zum Essen gewesen und es war wie immer sehr, sehr lecker. Total gemütlich und ein so freundlicher Service. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Nett eingerichtetes Lokal. Die Speisen die wir aßen waren okay aber recht kleine Portionen. Die Wirtin ist ganz nett, und wurde sogar Wasser für unseren Hund angeboten. Alles im allen ein nettes Lokal ohne Anspruch.
