We booked Avant Garden's catering for a company event for 50 people and were thrilled! The food was super tasty, fresh, unusual and perfectly suited to the season. Our guests praised the catering highly, and we can only agree with that. The delivery and the entire process were organized smoothly and professionally. Many thanks to Marcel's team for the great service and fantastic food :) we are already looking forward to the next opportunity where we can book you again.

Surprisingly good food! All dishes are freshly prepared here - you can immediately taste the quality. In addition to the warm dishes, there is an unusual and varied selection of salads/starters that rounds off the offering perfectly. A selection of cakes is also available. Very friendly service and attentive owner. High chair for children available. We were here in the afternoon, but we also particularly recommend it for lunch!

The service was very friendly and came to us very quickly. However, we were the only guests. Unfortunately, the door to the outside was often left open and a cool wind came in. Boxes had to be carried in and out, which was more of a train station atmosphere for us. Our request to close the door every time if possible was answered in the affirmative, but then it was open again for a longer period of time. The berry jam was very tasty, but the granola was VERY hard because it had a very hard sugar crust and was therefore too sweet. I passed this on to the kitchen, which was kindly acknowledged, but unfortunately you couldn't prepare it any other way. Too bad!

The food was really delicious! We had a salad and the bolognese - the bolo is by far one of the best in Cologne. The service was super friendly and attentive. For dessert we had brownie and carrot cake, both perfection. Can only recommend it, we will definitely come back.

A great place, it tastes fantastic. About the location: Modern, tastefully furnished, but not too overwhelming. There is everything: you can sit outside, with the door open, on benches, in a lounge corner or on bar stools The service was very quick. And now to the food: really great selection of healthy and very, very tasty dishes. I can't even describe the taste explosion, it tastes exceptionally well, you can tell the love for cooking. Have fun here! P.S.: I don't like peanuts. Until now, even peanuts are delicious here!

An enrichment in Veedel! The food is fantastic: creative salads, cakes, warm dishes that you don't know before. Not the usual “same old”, but fresh and “special”. Everything tastes good and is absolutely worth the price!

Disappointed. We walked half an hour to the restaurant at 8:30 pm and it was closed already instead of 11 pm which is stated on google maps.

Very tasty, elaborately prepared, exceptional salads, cakes and dishes in the Ottolenghi style! Very friendly service. A highlight in Braunsfeld! A visit is absolutely recommended - whether take-away or eat in the restaurant - both are great!

One of the most surprising places we've been in Germany. Different tastes, a fusion of many influences with an amazing result. Lots of vegetarian options and healthy food. Deserts are next level. Very lovely people, very nice and polite. The restaurant looks really good too.

Great restaurant near the Tierpark and outside the tourist center. Everything is extremely fine: extremely refined Ottolenghi-style salads, perfectly balanced hot dishes and sandwiches, calibrated juices. It really is the ideal of food that is both comforting and healthy. Well done ! I hope you will open other addresses.

Buongiorno! I was greeted very nicely with my dog ​​right at the beginning :-) The cappuccino and croissant were delicious! The waiter still has a lot to learn - I was simply ignored by him right from the start. He then simply devoted himself to other guests. On the way to the toilet he cut me off. Weird behavior. However, the chef was very friendly. The food was good.

Really delicious food. I really liked the selection of dishes. Unfortunately, what I had selected on the menu online was not available. I then put together a selection of 3 salads. You can clearly taste the freshness of the ingredients and their daily preparation. Here we pay attention to the very good quality of the products. Which brings me to my next point and, for me, is in direct contrast to the owner's mission and his awareness of quality: “We strive not to waste your limited break time with unnecessary waiting... You should eat quickly and well, that is, your break enjoy!" For me personally, it is not only bad manners, but also disrespectful, to quickly eat such good food that has been prepared with passion and expertise using great products! If you want to eat quickly, please go to a fast food chain and choke down the food-like chemical products and wash them down with the carbonated sugar syrup solvent. That's why I think it's a shame that the really good food is ruined for me by the canteen atmosphere (despite the noble ambience). It is clear that in Germany, eating is unfortunately only equated with eating and not with enjoyment. Which is reduced to absurdity given the great food here. So if you want to enjoy the food properly, I advise you to take the food with you or have it brought to you and then eat it undisturbed and in peace in your own four walls.

As a vegetarian, here in Braunsfeld you are not exactly spoiled by restaurants with good vegetarian and, above all, good-tasting alternatives. The Avant Garden is a real addition to the district. However, as with many others, there is of course still room for improvement. The vegetarian offering could be expanded even more. And the ambience also has the potential to become a little more comfortable. But that is of course a matter of taste. Nordic design meets German cool. That's way too cold for me.

What a great find!! Personal, friendly and professional service with great cold and hot food options. The special penne bolognaise was so tasty and the fusion chili was sharp and delicious. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Die Zutaten besonders und frisch. Ganz toll. Das hat natürlich seinen Preis und ist im Verhältnis ein wenig überteuert. Der Service wird von zwar freundlichen, aber deutlich ungelernten jungen Menschen bestritten. Was den Service etwas holprig gestaltet. Insgesamt ein teures Lokal mit mittlerem Service, dass aber in Braunsfeld fast alternativlos ist.

Super freundliche Bedienung, sehr offene Menschen und vor allem keine Verschwendung. Waren samstags kurz vor Ladenschluss da und statt wegzuwerfen, wurden wir mit dem übrigen Essen als Probe versorgt. Immer wieder

Eine Bereicherung für Braunsfeld ! Ob Salate , Säfte, Sandwiches oder Süßspeisen, alles einfach nur köstlich. Der Koch hat einen vorzüglichen Gaumen und die Kreationen sind exzellent.

Sehr freundlicher Service, Essen super lecker gewürzt, frisch und abwechslungsreich. Auf Empfehlung des Kochs für die Kids ein warmes Essen mit Erdnusssauce mitgenommen, voller Erfolg! Meine Kids vergeben auch nochmal 5 extra Punkte.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Salate wirklich sehr frisch, lecker und außergewöhnlich. Der Salatteller für den Preis von 14,90 € ist allerdings wirklich zu klein. Entweder müsste die Portion größer oder der Preis geringer sein. Davon wird man leider definitiv nicht satt (und ich bin eine kleine, zierliche Person).

Ich kann die vermehrt negativen Einträge hier in keinster Weise nachvollziehen. Ich war nun mehrfach vor Ort und gerade Samstags waren oft Familien mit Kindern da und ich kann die geschilderten „Vorfälle“ in keiner Weise bestätigen. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Was aber noch viel wichtiger ist, das Essen ist wirklich lecker! Wir kommen aber immer und immer wieder aufgrund der unfassbar leckeren Kuchen & Törtchen. Da wird richtig gute Arbeit geleistet!

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kinder im Avantgarden deli essen, das Essen war wirklich außergewöhnlich lecker, frische Zutaten und großartig abgeschmeckt !👍🏼 Wir wurden super freundlich bedient und obwohl unser 6 jähriger Sohn sehr sehr lebhaft war, waren alle Angestellten aber vor allem der Chef (Marcel) total entspannt und kinderlieb! Marcel hat mit unserem Sohn trotz vollem Betrieb sogar noch gescherzt :-) Die Bewertungen, dass man im Avantgarden Deli mit Kindern nicht willkommen ist, können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen!!! Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder! Auch mit Kindern 😃
