My husband chose the hunter's schnitzel, tender pork with mushroom sauce, and I chose the classic Viennese schnitzel. Both were delicious and generous portions. The side salad is easy to share. Friendly young ladies serving. Because we ate early (between 5 and 6 pm), we also received a 25% discount. Highly recommended!

A nice old pub with a beer garden. Public transport is very good. Parking is a real challenge. There's a fairly extensive menu (also available online) with food for every taste. The Irish Pub tagliatelle and the farm-fresh ice cream were delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly. Only towards the end, when the restaurant was less busy, did they appear less frequently. I highly recommend a visit.

Beautifully decorated. Very attentive staff, and the food is also excellent! I've never eaten such a good steak. The spaetzle and cold appetizer were also excellent.

I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. A restaurant by the road, but the garden where you can eat. Relaxing with a drink is breathtaking. A truly beautiful place. Fabulous food. Not so good in terms of taste. Meat overcooked (schnitzel) Sauce from a packet with "a few" pieces of mushrooms. Won't be back.

A really nice restaurant, we reserved a table for 20 people. We received great service the entire evening. The food is a bit more expensive in my case. My portion was nicely prepared and sufficient. My neighbor had a portion that only had 5 croquettes and a medium schnitzel on it, but the price was very extreme. Conclusion: A visit here is really recommended.

Visited on a Sunday, in the afternoon, the kitchen was occupied, the restaurant was busy. Walk in is ok. Here you can find typical Baden dishes of decent quality at moderate prices that are acceptable for Freiburg. The kitchen is on point, the service is attentive, although not always as professional as expected. When I visit with guests from outside, they are always very satisfied and impressed by the traditional, rustic charm. There are 5 stars for the fact that the standard is maintained here, which is not true for the immediate area near the bank.

This year we from the club had our New Year's dinner here and were more than satisfied throughout. Great communication, delicious food, impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere. This calls for repetition. Always my pleasure.

Nice ambience, very good selection of dishes (especially grill) and red wines, especially when it comes to Spanish (Tempranillo)! :) Augustiner was only from the bottle, but there was another light, naturally cloudy, which was very tasty!

We were there very spontaneously for the first time today. Short-term reservations were no problem. The young gentleman in service was super warm and you immediately felt very welcome. The food was also very tasty and fair value for money, and the atmosphere was cozy and chic. We will be happy to come back.

After about 15 years I was back at Bankepeter. Spontaneously went quite well, there were still enough free tables. The ambience is unchanged, the tavern atmosphere is OK, but something could have been changed in a few places. Service attentive but not particularly praiseworthy. The dish I chose was OK. But nothing special. The cordon bleu could definitely have used a fresh cheese and the ham was also quite tasteless. The meat was OK, but was probably a piece from the wholesaler. Everything was OK for satiety, but it will never be a culinary experience. Definitely not worth more than three stars. It will probably be another 15 years before I visit again.

There were four of us for dinner. The restaurant was busy, so it was relatively loud. The waiters, there were two, were very friendly, although one of them didn't smile. I took an Augustinian plate. It was very good except for one type of meat. Unfortunately it was very stringy and you could hardly get through it with a knife. The waffle was excellent, with a light almond flavor. Really good. Basically you can eat well there. Maybe I was just unlucky with that one piece. If one waiter would smile a little more than the other, then it would be 5 stars.

Unfortunately the food didn't taste good, there were no spices, no salt and no pepper in the fish dish zander and in the case of schnitzel we know that it is breaded, but it wasn't breaded and wasn't pounded. So strange for us for Jägerschnitzel.

Fast, attentive service. The fillet steak and side dishes are of high quality. Driven here especially from the canton of Aargau in Switzerland! We'll be back.

We are regular visitors to the Augustiner and have always been very satisfied. Regionality and freshness characterize the food. Both the restaurant and the beer garden are very cozy. We can only recommend the happy hour during the week!

We sat in the beautiful and cozy courtyard on family schnitzel Sunday and were thrilled! Very tasty food: everything fresh, homemade spaetzle, “real” gravy, juicy schnitzel… just great. Super attentive and friendly staff. We will definitely come back soon!

Tuesdays to Fridays there is “happy hour” where you only pay half the price for food! Highly recommended!

We were able to celebrate our wedding at the Augustiner. Great preparation, great food, great service. The whole team made a huge effort to make sure everyone felt comfortable and we were able to really enjoy our celebration. The arrangement with other service providers also went well. Overall, my experience was very subpar. Reserved a table for my anniversary with my wife and thought it was going to be an amazing time. The steak I ordered was very underseasoned if seasoned at all. The fries were on the same plate as the steak, making them soggy from the juice of the steak. My wife's salad was swimming in dressing where she couldn't even eat all of it. At the end, they overcharged us and argued about giving us the extra money back. I will not be going here again and do not recommend this place at all.

The food was okay, but not completely convincing. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for the food, and the drinks also took a relatively long time to arrive. This is normally perfectly fine when the weekend is busy, but the restaurant was only moderately full. The service was very chaotic, we were asked several times what we had ordered. It almost seemed as if mostly temporary staff were working there. Overall, we are unfortunately a bit disappointed with the visit and can't make any recommendations!

Short answer: I would encourage others to look for a different place to eat. Long Review: The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The employees were friendly and respectful. The food, however, didn't really meet our standards. If we're going to pay 70€ for a meal for 2 people, we expect it to be incredibly tasty and filling. My husband's meat was not seasoned at all and my salad was swimming in so much vinegar that I couldn't finish it. It did what it needed to do - fill our bellies - but we won't be going back.

Cozy, friendly and bright, but traditionally nicely furnished. There's a lot going on in the evenings and there are always great schnitzels on Sundays. In any case, the food tastes great and is seasonal, fresh, Baden - simply delicious. Afterwork and also cocktails. The visit ended up being longer than expected. Very nice time. Here you can get standard Baden cuisine. Not particularly sophisticated, but still very solid. The salad actually surprised me a little positively. The restaurant makes a pretty good impression, the garden is very nice. Even the toilets are in very good condition. The service was quick and friendly - all in all a recommended restaurant. Alternatives: Landgasthof Etzenbach (Staufen), Goldener Anker (FR).

You'll look for a parking space in vain, the parking situation is an ABSOLUTE disaster! Poorly insulated building construction, it echoes insanely and sometimes you can't hear your own words. The food and service was beyond brilliant!

Dropped by spontaneously on Sunday. It wasn't too busy, very pleasant atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive. The orders were taken quickly. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was still within reason. We were all fed our food at the same time. The food tastes excellent. Rarely have I eaten something so good. Totally inexpensive, decent portions and beautifully presented. The menu offers a lot of choice.

We had a delicious meal here on Christmas Day. The service is super friendly. The food was really good. Price-performance is right. It was a bit warm and crowded in the room, but still ok. We would come back to try out the regular menu.

Sehr gutes Essen, war auch relativ schnell da. Die Bedingung war freundlich und hat die Getränke schnell gebracht. Die Parkplatz Situation ist relativ schlecht, da es nur ein kleinen Tankstelleparkplatz gibt. Dafür aber gut mit mit der Bahn erreichbar, die 2 hat direkt eine Haltestelle davor.

Ich wurde noch nie so respektlos behandelt auch noch höchstpersönlich vom Chef eine reinste Katastrophe keine Fehler einsehen können und noch unfreundlich dazu am Ende des Abend dein Geld losgeworden und hungrig nachhause NIEMALS WIEDER UND ÜBERHAUPT KEINE EMPFEHLUNG

Lugar de cimida para grupos o reservas. No merece mucho la pena. La sopa de tomate con regusto picante. Al codillo y las patatas les quedaba todavia un hervor. La eleccion no fue mía sino del grupo mayorista Senda, que nos mandó en nuestra estancia en Friburgo.

Preis/Leistung eher mittelmäßig, Essen aber lecker. Was ich nie verstehen werde ist, warum es Gastronomen gibt, die Essen auf kalten Tellern servieren, dadurch ist das Steak dann halt ab der Hälfte auch kalt.

Wir waren heute als Reisende zufällig in Freiburg und haben dieses Restaurant gefunden. Was soll man sagen? Die Gans war ein Gedicht. Der Service toll und flink und der Chef sooo angenehm und charmant. Wir bedauern wirklich das wir nur auf Durchreise sind. so stellt man sich einen gut bürgerlichen Gasthof vor - wir sind begeistert. Tolles Bier. Der Service war mies, sind eigentlich nicht beachtet worden, obwohl noch nichts los war. Draußen ganz nett in ruhiger Seitenstraße. Drinnen lief miese Schlagermusik. Haben nicht gegessen.

Wir kamen tatsächlich auch vom Schützen, da es dort kein Essen aufgrund von Personalmangel gab, und das war sehr wahrscheinlich auch primär das Problem, jedoch war einer Ihrer Kellner irgendwann so unfreundlich und kurz angebunden. Da muss man einfach die Collness haben und mehr mit den Gästen kommunizieren. Es ist ja prinzipiell kein Problem, dass man mal länger auf seine Getränke bzw. sein Essen warten muss, aber das die zweite Getränkebestellung komplett vergessen wird ist halt blöd. Wir haben dann nach 45 min gedacht, dass wir dann lieber bezahlen als erneut nachzufragen. Die Kellner waren eh kaum greifbar...blöde Situation; für beide Seiten!!!

Wir hatten Filets Medium und Englisch, die waren perfekt. Auch die Beilagen waren gut. Aufmerksamer Service. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die einfachen ungepolsterten Holzstühle, die sind dem Restaurant nicht angemessen.

Schönes Restaurant mit großem Außenbereich. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich sehr gut. Seit langer Zeit kein so vorzügliches Schnitzel gegessen.

Bei unserem 2-tägigen Besuch in Freiburg diesen Biergarten am ersten Abend aufgesucht. Wir sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, die Getränke und das Essen zügig am Platz. Das Essen war lecker und die Portionen ausreichend.

Lovely authentic German pub/restaurant experience. Food lovely and prices fair enough in current climate. Staff lovely and cannot be faulted for care, manner and effort. The restaurant itself is very cosy and the perfect refuge to hide out a stormy evening in Freiburg. Docking one star as it felt understaffed and it was a good 90 mins from sitting until food on the table (tough when dining with kids, my wife and I just enjoyed the local beer and wines tho 😅). 100% not the fault of the staff who were fab and while clearly a bit stressed, were nothing but smiles when dealing with us and my rubbish German. Seems a few other reviews mention long waits, maybe the owners could put a few more staff on and it would be a 5 star venue?

Von außen etwas unscheinbar aber im Innenbereichen oder dem liebevoll dekorierten Biergarten überzeugen Qualität, Vielfalt und Geschmack der Speisen und Getränke - serviert von einem auch in Hochzeiten stets freundlichen Service. Wer in Freiburg gut und lecker Essen möchte, sollte es unbedingt mal hier versuchen - ich garantiere Begeisterung!

Can’t comment on the food or drink . Greeted by waitress who, 20 minutes later still hadn’t taken drinks order or provided menus. Too busy flirting with the boss to do these simple tasks. Don’t bother.

Bauernfängerei: After-Work-Spezial! Siehe Schild am Eingang. In der Speisekarte findet sich vorn die Erklärung: nur für Reservierungen bis 9 Personen. Ab 10 Personen (Gruppen) gilt der Normalpreis. Wir haben 1-mal jeden Monat ein Nachbarschaftstreffen im Bankenpeter. Bis jetzt erhielten wir die Reduzierung. Am 26.4.23 nicht, weil wir zu viele waren. Uns war nicht bekannt, dass ab mehr als 9 Personen das Angebot nicht gilt! Keiner hatte sich die Mühe gemacht, die ersten Seiten, der Speisekarte durchzulesen, sondern nur nach den Gerichten geschaut. Eigentlich müsste der Hinweis auf dem Aufsteller vor der Tür angebracht werden. Nun wir haben beschlossen in Zukunft den Augustiner im Bankepeter zu meiden.

Das Restaurant ist lieblos eingerichtet und der Chef scheint uninteressiert am Gästewohl, er ist kein Gastgeber. Mit Rückmeldungen kann er nicht umgehen, obschon er das gemäss seiner Speisekarte gerne möchte. Der Service mit Jugendlichen in der 11 Klasse, die nicht ausgebildet wurden eher unbeholfen. Das Essen was war schlecht und ohne Leidenshaft gekocht und angerichtet. Ich kann das Restaurant überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Schade für die Zeit und das Geld.

Sehr nette Bedienung, gute Beratung bei der Auswahl der Speisen, flexibel bei den Beilagen und eine sehr gute Qualität. Trotz der Lage , etwas außerhalb der Altstadt, auf jeden fall zu 100 % empfehlenswert.

Un locale molto carico alla periferia di Friburgo con un bel giardino x gustare la cucina tedesca . Imperdibile è la flammkuchen tradizionale che è una sorta di pizza molto sottile e croccante con formaggio, pancetta, cipolle e altri ingredienti. Buone le salsicce e le insalate con tacchino/ formaggi. Ottimo il tiramisù della casa. Ottima la birra. Personale giovane e cordiale. Lo raccomando a chi si trova Friburgo e vuole uscire dai soliti circuiti x turisti, mangiare bene spendendo il giusto.

We had a wonderful meal here which was delicious and excellent value for money. Veal escalope, rib eye steak and German sausage were all so wonderful. Aleksa gave excellent beer and food recommendations and the service she provided Wass 100%. Would highly recommend a visit here

War heute mit meiner Freundin im Augustiner. Wir hatten beide das Filet, welches sehr gut war. Zuerst wurde die falsche Beilage serviert, ging dann aber super schnell und die richtige Beilage war auch schon da. Die Bedienung war allgemein super freundlich. Werden bei unserem nächsten Freiburgbesuch sicher wieder kommen.

We hadden trek in een schnitzel en die kunnen ze hier prima klaarmaken. Er staan overigens genoeg andere heerlijke gerechten op de kaart maar die bewaren we voor de volgende keer. Ook leuk: ze schenken bier van de buren: Ganter.

Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen. Getränke brauchten dann eine halbe Stunde und das Essen eine Stunde. Das Medium Steak war extrem durch. Bedienung war jedoch sehr freundlich.
