Das Essen ist verlässlich gut, der Service freundlich und bemüht, aber unterbesetzt. Was mich effektiv abhält, öfter vorbei zu kommen, sind die Preise: Schnitzel Wiener Art über 20€, Kässpatzen nur knapp darunter, sorry, das steht in keiner Relation mehr. Bei Google Maps findet man noch eine Speisekarte von 2021 - es ist zum Heulen.

Wir hatten einen geselligen Abend. Bier war gut. Manche hatten Essen bestellt. Dies war ebenfalls gut. Es war voll am Freitagabend. Leider nur eine Person in der Bedienung. Mussten stets lange warten. Der Mann hinter der Bar zuständig für Getränke, musste auch Essen bringen.Wußte aber oft nicht zur welchen Tisch. Freitagabends sind die Stoßzeiten in der Gastronomie. Dann muss man schon für genügend Personal sorgen als Wirt. Eventuell Mini-Job. Hauptsache mann muss nicht 20 Minuten auf ein Bier warten. Gestern hat man viel Umsatz liegen lassen.

At first you were greeted a bit grumpily, but towards the end the service became much friendlier. A small tasty salad was served before the meal, which was very tasty. The schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn we ordered were very tasty. The schnitzel with fries was a bit unsightly because the ketchup and mayo were served so carelessly in the plastic things. I prefer to serve small containers with homemade mayonnaise, for example, which would be nicer given the price.

We had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant twice during our stay in Munich, and both experiences exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, the staff was incredibly friendly, and overall, we had a delightful evening on both occasions.

A good meeting place to meet friends, drink a (few) beers and eat something. Service was quick and really courteous - and I say that with respect when a waitress does all the service at the tables.

Dined during Sunday dinner time, not crowded and available tables I ordered white beer, it was very fragrant and smooth, delicious! The roast pork was as delicious as expected, and the pickled vegetables were particularly good. It was not too sour or too strong. It was very refreshing and quite satisfying. The restaurants near the station and the city hall are full of people and the waiters are very busy. In comparison, the atmosphere of this restaurant is much more relaxed, and Asians can easily dine in. In addition, although I don’t know the name of the waitress, she was very friendly and the service was very good from the moment I walked in. Thank you!

You immediately feel at home here! The staff is warm and always attentive without being intrusive - a real Bavarian hospitality that you can feel. I was also impressed by the cuisine: classic Bavarian delicacies that are really well made. Whether hearty roast pork or a fresh Obazda, everyone gets their money's worth here. The ambience rounds off the visit perfectly: rustic and cozy with lots of wood and warm light, so that you would like to sit there longer. A place where you would like to come back again and again.

I didn't feel welcome here (as an individual) when I came to the restaurant this evening just before 9 p.m. and wanted to eat something. I wasn't given a table in a very friendly way... A menu wasn't brought to me within the next 15 minutes, even though the waitress walked past me twice with a stack of cards coming from another table. Then I left again... What a shame, that sort of thing.

Extremely disappointing experience - never again! I've been to this restaurant a few times and have always found the food mediocre but acceptable. Unfortunately my last visit turned into an absolute nightmare. The waitress was rude from the start and treated me condescendingly. This restaurant is really nothing special. The food is average at best and the staff is rude, arrogant and completely unacceptable. I will never enter this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer good food and friendly service. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else!

The Schäuferl was very good, the Kässpatzen are gratinated with cheese, but unfortunately only have bechamel sauce underneath, so there isn't even the slightest thread of cheese... Service very friendly and quick.

Very dignified location in Neuhausen. The menu offers Bavarian classics but also modern creations. Beer is of course freshly tapped and is wonderfully cold. There are two outdoor areas, on the street and in the backyard as a small beer garden. Nice and rustic inside with wooden paneling and raised seating areas, really cozy, you feel at home. Guests are mainly local people from the area. You know each other. You play cards in groups. Would love to come back. This is also due to the very friendly service.

We visit this restaurant regularly and are always impressed by the consistently good quality of the food and the excellent service. Great, rustic and original pub/restaurant with very friendly service and good food. The beer comes quickly and is of course from the barrel (Augustiner!!). The restaurant can get crowded quickly and the background noise is louder. There's poker in the next room... So what more could you want?? Come again!

We returned here on Saturday after 5 years. Miserable service. Waited twice forever (eternal light 🙄) for the beer. Then got it once at the bar. Later I found the lady in a cubbyhole and kindly asked for a drink. Food (Königsberger Kloppse from the daily menu) was good, beer was good. Unfortunately, because of the absolutely uninterested service “Kraft”, it’s a “no go” for the future 😔. Otherwise: toilet stinks. But that has been the case for years. It's probably a structural problem...

The three of us ordered 3 beers, reminded the waitress a few times - it doesn't matter. But after 20 minutes we are out. The store was 90% empty. Cool.

Old Munich restaurant that Munich residents can no longer afford. The portion of beef soup with accompaniment for a whopping €7.70 and the Viennese-style schnitzel for just under €20 are very hefty. It doesn't help much that it tastes good either. You just cook at home.

Overall I wasn't convinced, especially because the food was quite tasteless (dumplings) and very dry (meat). For an “Augustinian” in the name, this was below average. The ambience is nothing special, even for a restaurant of this type. The service took good care of it and was friendly. I wouldn't go there again.

Dishes there have gotten quite expensive, but it was pretty good. Salad wasn't washed well and bit into some gravel, but they neither offered a replacement, nor did they give any discount since it was inedible and i didn't eat it... so one star off for food. Was difficult to get the waitress' attention to come take further orders for drinks, so another star off for service. With such a big party, continually ordering, it just felt like they didn't really have any interest in making money. Too bad, next year we will book somewhere else.

Habe hier für 70 Euro Essen via Uber Eats bestellt. Von der 4 bestellten Gerichten kamen nur 2 an. Der Fahrer sagt er hat nur das bekommen. Das Restaurant schob bei telefonischer Nachfrage die Schuld auf den Fahrer. Der Kunde blieb der Dumme. Keinerlei Lösungsvorschläge von Seitens des Restaurants - man hätte nichts falsch gemacht. Vielen Dank auch! Die zwei bestellten Gerichte waren außerdem auch nicht wirklich lecker. Ich werde hier nicht mehr bestellen und auch nicht mehr hingehen.

Griabiges Augustiner mit gesalzenen Preisen fürs Essen. Man kann's aber gut drin aushalten.

Die Gaststätte „Ewiges Licht“ Wir sind vor zwei Jahren eher zufällig - waren auf dem Weg in den Hirschgarten - daran vorbei gelaufen und dachten uns „Kann man nicht viel falsch machen, wenn das Bier von Augustinger abgeboten wird“ Seitdem besuchen wir diese Gaststätte regelmäßig und müssen sagen, dass die Qualität der Speisen und der Service immer gleichbleibend gut ist. Das Ambiente: Es ist eine typische Stadtteilwirtschaft. Sie ist eher rusitkal eingerichtet, hat eine größere Bar, an der man „schnell“ eine oder zwei Halbe trinken kann. Der Gastraum hat noch zwei „Emporen“ und es gibt einen Nebenraum, der von Vereinen etc. genutzt werden kann. Im Sommer gibt es nach hinten raus einen Gartenbereich und vor dem Eingang zur Straße einige Tische. Wir nutzen in der Regel den Gartenbereich, da wir es nicht so toll finden, wenn mir jeder Fußgänger beim Essen zuschauen kann. Das Essen Die Karte umfasst neben den Standardgerichten, auch immer wieder verschiedene Tagesgerichte. Hier ist im Gegensatz zu anderen Wirtschaften erfreulich, dass die Tageskarte tatsächlich wechselt. Wir finden auch nach zwei Jahren immer noch Speisen, die wir probieren wollen. Das ist wirklich eine positive Unterscheidung, da viele andere Betriebe eigentlich immer das Gleiche auf der Tageskarte haben. Die Karte selber würde ich als als Wirtshauskarte beschreiben. Neben den Standardgerichten, wie Schweinebraten, Burger, Flamkuchen gibt es auch saisonales wie Rinderbäckchen, Lebkuchentiramisu etc. Aber auch für die Vegetarier ist immer etwas dabei. Bewertet wird dieses Mal aber das fränkische Schäufele mit Kartoffelknödel und Krautsalat. Das Fleisch selber war wirklich ausreichend, der Knödel und die Bratensoße hervorragend und der Krautsalat selber gemacht. Das zweite Gericht „Rinderbäckchen mit Rostenkohl und Pastinaken-Kartoffelbrei“ war wirklich super. Die Rinderbäckchen in „dünne“ Scheiben geschnitten zart, wie es sein soll. Der Rosenkohl scheint etwas karamelisiert worden zu sein. Daduch schmeckte er nicht mehr so „kohlig“. Das Pastinakenpürree und die Soße waren ohne „Fehl und Tadel“. Der Teller war am Ende leer! Der Service Es ist erstaunlich, aber oftmals ist tatsächlich nur eine Servicekraft für den gesamten Gastraum zuständig. Trotzdem muss keiner „lange“ auf sein Bier und auch sein Essen warten. Wenn man des Öfteren kommt, wird auch „ohne Bestellung“ gleich eine Halbe auf den Tisch gestellt. Sehr zuvorkommend, DANKE! Das Haar in der Suppe: Auch wenn der Wirt sich noch dagegen sträubt. Eine Homepage wäre langsam aber sicher einmal angesagt. Dies auch deshalb, da es vorkommen kann, dass das „Ewige Licht“ auch einmal außerplanmäßig geänderte Öffnungszeiten hat, oder sogar geschlossen ist (Personalmangel). Leider wird dies nur auf eine Tafel vor dem Eingang bekannt gegeben. Dies ist natürlich ärgerlich, wenn man sich auf den Weg gemacht hat und dann vor verschlossener Türe - hungrig und in Vorfreude - steht. FAZIT Besucht es einfach selber einmal! Es lohnt sich!

Uriges Münchener Lokal mit gutem bodenständigen Essen

Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service.

Bin dort immer wieder mal vor Konzerten im Backstage wenn ich mal nach München komme. Eine sehr schöne, traditionelle Gaststätte mit sehr sympathischen Mitarbeiter*innen (Ja, Herr Söder) und super Küche. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passt, die Gläser sind auch bei nicht alkoholischem schön groß (0,5) was es leider auch gar nicht mehr so oft gibt und das Essen ist wie angesprochen ein Highlight. Egal ob Krustenschweinebraten oder Schaüferle, hier schmeckts immer top und frisch.

Essen teuer und nicht mal mittelmäßig, Getränke wie z.B. die „heißen“ Schokoladen nicht mal lauwarm. Alles kommt zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten, für ein Mini Schokoladenfertigsoufflé 8,50€, kam auch noch ca. 1,5 Stunden zu spät. Als man nach 1 Stunde das Gericht abbestellen wollte, wurde man auch noch beleidigt und musste die Speise annehmen. Fazit: teuer, unfreundlich, miserabler Service, nie wieder.

I've visited this place with my friend. Although we had no reservation and the place was almost full, we were seated promptly at the available table. The food portions are big, the Flammkuchen I've eaten was tasty. The beer is always good.

Seit langem mal wieder hier! Leider vieeeel zu lange! Über's Bier braucht man nicht zu reden, aber der Service und das Essen? Der Wahnsinn! Wie das Team (3vorne+Küche?) das gerockt hat? Einfach Klasse! Der nächste Besuch dauert nicht mehr so lange, versprochen!
