A very nice restaurant with an outdoor area in the back courtyard and a few seats outside. The food was delicious; everything was homemade, even the coleslaw. The meat could have been smaller for me, but the dumplings could have been larger. The friendly and fast service is highly recommended. We'll be back; we'll have to try other things.

The meal was an absolute delight! The schnitzel was perfectly prepared – golden brown and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. It was accompanied by freshly fried fries that were wonderfully crispy and not dripping with fat. I particularly liked the little lemon wrapper, which further enhanced the look and taste of the dish. The presentation on the plate, with the stylishly wrapped newspaper for the fries, was modern and appealing. Everything is just right here: quality, taste, and attention to detail. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

When we arrived, our table was dirty. However, it was cleaned immediately upon our comment. The service was very friendly and the food delicious and reasonably priced. We were in the area on a whim, so we ended up there. We would definitely recommend it! Some dishes change seasonally. One request, however: pay attention to the online menu updates. It was last posted on June 11th, with a note stating that it changes every two months. This meant the next change wouldn't be until mid-August. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and our favorite dish was no longer on the menu when we arrived.

Beautiful, rustic Bavarian restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Reordering drinks was signaled for, due to a failure to follow emergency lanes. A beautifully decorated beer garden, which was unusable due to the weather. We'll be back. The Bavarian Cordon Bleu with Obatzda (traditional Bavarian dumplings) is highly recommended.

During my three-week stay in Munich, I ate at Ewiges Licht several times, including enjoying my after-work beer, and I can only say: simply fantastic! The food was always of the highest quality, incredibly delicious, and the glass was never empty. I'd especially like to emphasize the friendly and attentive staff, who made every visit a very special experience. I'll definitely be back! :D

I think this restaurant/"restaurant" is nice/good in itself. Unfortunately, the hospitality there has recently (late 2024/early 2025) left more and more to be desired. I've been meeting there regularly with friends for about 10 years – sometimes up to 20 people – to play cards and board games. I sometimes reserved up to 5 tables for this purpose. During the times we were there, the restaurant was generally never full/always empty. Often – from around 10 p.m. onwards – we were even the only guests. Nevertheless, I've been told several times that reservations for my requested dates were no longer possible because we weren't consuming enough/generating enough revenue. I was/am perplexed, to say the least, by this announcement. I found it outrageous. The majority of my friends ate there and always drank at least two drinks per person. It will likely remain the landlord's secret to what extent it is more economical to accommodate no guests with zero consumption, rather than a few guests with—supposedly!—low consumption. Fortunately, there are alternatives/other restaurants in Munich where visitors are treated as guests and not merely as revenue generators.

The experience was in a pub, we were hungry and didn't want to go far, we arrived at the table and got the menu, we found what we wanted to eat: 2x schnitzel with fries and mixed salad, 1x crusted roast pork with bread dumplings and potato dumplings that weren't cooked through and the coleslaw had an onion taste, the crust was twisted and the sight alone was disgusting, I've never had such a square crust in my entire life Seen, it's an impudence on the part of the chef to even put something like that on the plate, we had 4x blackcurrant spritzer. I paid almost 80 euros for 3 people, so I would have expected more for the money, in my opinion or taste the inn is not a restaurant but just a pub and it is very loud in there, I think it's a shame and sad when you go out to eat and have already paid so much money for it. The chef's service is poor. So if you want to drink, I think the tavern is fine. You can't go wrong with beer and other drinks.

Bei Google Maps findet man noch eine Speisekarte von 2021 - es ist zum Heulen.

Wir hatten einen geselligen Abend. Bier war gut. Manche hatten Essen bestellt. Dies war ebenfalls gut. Es war voll am Freitagabend. Leider nur eine Person in der Bedienung. Mussten stets lange warten. Der Mann hinter der Bar zuständig für Getränke, musste auch Essen bringen.Wußte aber oft nicht zur welchen Tisch. Freitagabends sind die Stoßzeiten in der Gastronomie. Dann muss man schon für genügend Personal sorgen als Wirt. Eventuell Mini-Job. Hauptsache mann muss nicht 20 Minuten auf ein Bier warten. Gestern hat man viel Umsatz liegen lassen.

At first you were greeted a bit grumpily, but towards the end the service became much friendlier. A small tasty salad was served before the meal, which was very tasty. The schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn we ordered were very tasty. The schnitzel with fries was a bit unsightly because the ketchup and mayo were served so carelessly in the plastic things. I prefer to serve small containers with homemade mayonnaise, for example, which would be nicer given the price.

We had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant twice during our stay in Munich, and both experiences exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, the staff was incredibly friendly, and overall, we had a delightful evening on both occasions.

Dined during Sunday dinner time, not crowded and available tables I ordered white beer, it was very fragrant and smooth, delicious! The roast pork was as delicious as expected, and the pickled vegetables were particularly good. It was not too sour or too strong. It was very refreshing and quite satisfying. The restaurants near the station and the city hall are full of people and the waiters are very busy. In comparison, the atmosphere of this restaurant is much more relaxed, and Asians can easily dine in. In addition, although I don’t know the name of the waitress, she was very friendly and the service was very good from the moment I walked in. Thank you!

I was also impressed by the cuisine: classic Bavarian delicacies that are really well made. Whether hearty roast pork or a fresh Obazda, everyone gets their money's worth here. The ambience rounds off the visit perfectly: rustic and cozy with lots of wood and warm light, so that you would like to sit there longer. A place where you would like to come back again and again.

Extremely disappointing experience - never again! I've been to this restaurant a few times and have always found the food mediocre but acceptable. Unfortunately my last visit turned into an absolute nightmare. The waitress was rude from the start and treated me condescendingly. This restaurant is really nothing special. The food is average at best and the staff is rude, arrogant and completely unacceptable. I will never enter this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer good food and friendly service. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else!

The Schäuferl was very good, the Kässpatzen are gratinated with cheese, but unfortunately only have bechamel sauce underneath, so there isn't even the slightest thread of cheese... Service very friendly and quick.

Very dignified location in Neuhausen. The menu offers Bavarian classics but also modern creations. Beer is of course freshly tapped and is wonderfully cold. There are two outdoor areas, on the street and in the backyard as a small beer garden. Nice and rustic inside with wooden paneling and raised seating areas, really cozy, you feel at home. Guests are mainly local people from the area. You know each other. You play cards in groups. Would love to come back. This is also due to the very friendly service.
