We were around for a martial art course and we found this greek place. The food was superb, we come from a Mediterranean place also and we found quality on the vegetables and meats. And moreover all the staff were very friendly helpful and welcoming. If you are around I would 100% recommend this place.

The price-performance ratio is right here! The portions are generous and well prepared. The service is very good. We were very satisfied. Thank you!

It's been a while since my last review for this restaurant. An update is therefore necessary here. Unfortunately, it had been a while since my last personal visit, especially since the service wasn't that good and the ambience left a lot to be desired. However, the food was always very good and authentic, which is why we were always happy to use the delivery service. Unfortunately, I have to say, with the last few orders we noticed that the quality of the food preparation was decreasing more and more. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is also starting to turn negative (the prices are getting higher and the quality is decreasing more and more). My request is to return to the old quality and become authentically Greek again. Because the last time we saw ingredients and tasted spices that didn't really belong there.

I asked for ouzo and only 2 ml came. The glasses are 2 ml. I couldn't understand. In Greece, 200 ml comes to the table, but it wasn't like that here. The calamari was delicious and we loved the garlic and olive oil bread in the appetizers. Thank you Ariston tavern. I would consider going again.

We ordered online: after 1.5 hours, dry gyros and soggy fries arrived. For the price, the portions are too small - far too little tzatziki. Overall very disappointing. However, the three slices of baguette weren't bad.

An absolute catastrophe, unfortunately it has nothing to do with Greece. Would have liked to give 0 stars. Never again in life. Just don't order here!!! I have never experienced such bad food.

Until a few years ago, my wife and I were often here, but unfortunately for health reasons this is (almost) no longer possible and we have therefore used the delivery service in recent years. Unfortunately, over the last few years, this Taverna Hellas has gradually declined in terms of the quality of the food - and that is a decisive factor. This restaurant, like 80-90% of the rest of the restaurants in Germany, is now obviously relying more and more on prefabricated "industrial food" from large corporations like Metro and the like. In particular, the (in my opinion very expensive) cold or warm starter plates now consist almost or entirely of "canned food", which is becoming increasingly inferior in quality. Nothing is homemade or homemade anymore and only comes from cans, jars, bags, canisters, frozen food chests, etc., which - unfortunately - you can also taste if you still know the previous quality from 10, 15 years ago. Too bad. The atmosphere in the restaurant itself is of course “typically Greek”, just as you would expect as a “tourist”. There is also a separate smoking area with 6 (or 8?) tables for 4 people each. The staff is very nice and often or i. d. R. also likes to get an ouzo “on the house” after dinner. In other words: In the 2000s, right up to the 2010s, it was really a good "Greek" in terms of food, but now??? The green beans taste like they come from a chewing gum machine and feel like that in the mouth, the fries are just "floppy" and no longer have a bite, the tzatziki feels "floury" and dry in the mouth... Where can you I stop? No, thanks.

Really only worth 2 stars: We pre-ordered online an extra 1.5 hours in advance. The food still came half an hour late. Therefore the temperature was correspondingly: lukewarm. The portions were disappointingly small for the price. At a price of €11.90 for gyros, I expect a corresponding portion. This applies even more to the moussaka for €13, here the ratio was even less correct. It's a shame, I probably won't order here again. The quality and taste were good, so there are still 2 stars. Edit: I now received a complaint via Google about this comment. A lawyer wants to have the comment deleted on behalf of the restaurant. 6 years after the review I have to prove that I actually ordered there. It's a real shame that the restaurant really needs to take action against honest experiences. Other reviewers here have apparently had the same experiences.

Even though the staff was really nice and friendly, I was disappointed with the experience. The Greek salad was bland making the meal unenjoyable. Unfortunately, both me and my girlfriend have also experienced stomach issues shortly after the visit, which raised concerns about food quality. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to improve both their dishes and hygiene standards.

Delicious food. Large selection of small portions that were still plenty. Sat outside. It was a beautiful Friday evening.

I think the last time I was here was 12 years ago and I moved away. Super tasty, the tarama is a bit too salty, but that only means that there are actually fish eggs in it. Gyros great, fries crispy.

The food was delicious, we ordered a mixed grill platter and all of them were delicious. I had Mousakka and I really liked it. I highly recommend it to those who like eggplant and potatoes. The napkins were very nice, attention to detail. We had our dinner outside so I can't comment on the inside of the place. The service was also very good, we were satisfied.

Once we would never like to have any stars again, fries were potato wedges and chatterbox. Tzatziki isn't really sour and inedible when warm. Gyros burnt and hard, schnitzel is acceptable but also bland toast. I basically spent half the night in the toilet and completely got rid of everything

Food was ok, but the prices are really expensive and the portions weren't big. You even have to order the salad separately. Had two small skewers on a plate with rice and a few potatoes for 18.50 - sorry, but I'll eat that at home. Still hungry after visiting a Greek - any questions?

There are much better Greeks. The food had hardly any taste. Was very boring. The pepperoni had probably just popped out of the bag onto the plate. Despite a lot of staff, little attention was paid to them.

It was delicious, the meat, the salad, the starters and if you have a request that isn't on the menu, it will be fulfilled. Great restaurant with a lot of joy, love and dedication. Thank you for the great experience with you and we will definitely see each other again.

Very friendly staff, especially the boss! Was only there for the 3rd time on December 30th, 2023 and still got a bottle of Greek wine to say goodbye (apart from even a "Verdauerli") - very nice!!!🥰 We were there AGAIN! It's incredible that I love Greek food so much, which I never thought was possible. The prices, portions and variety are simply awesome! The service in the smoking room is also great - the ashtrays are constantly being replaced and therefore there is an unpleasant smell! So the service there is absolutely AWESOME!!!👏👍🥰

Got takeaway food. Unfortunately it was not possible to gratinate the food with cheese. In addition, fries were forgotten and potatoes and rice were put in instead. It's a shame, we relied on the good reviews. Unfortunately there is very little tzatziki at to go.

I've known Taverna Hellas for years and am thrilled that they consistently serve delicious, authentic Greek cuisine! Consistently super good and really recommendable, although the ambience is a bit “old school”.

We've been eating there for years. You are warmly welcomed. People laugh, chat and all wishes are taken into account. The staff is very friendly, professional and quick. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Even when I was in labor, we stopped by our local Greek restaurant for a quick snack. We are very satisfied and can warmly recommend the restaurant to you.

Zum Ambiente kann ich nix sagen, haben immer nur bestellt. Das Essen war immer super, haben gerne dort bestellt.Sehr lecker....!!! Die beiden letzten Male allerdings war es kalt und wir hatten danach Magen Darm Probleme. Wir beiden Erwachsenen und drei Kinder! Jetzt kam ein Gutschein, eine 10 Prozent Rabatt Karte und eine Begründung für das schlechte Essen. Sie hätten einen Koch von einer Leihfirma gehabt. Allerdings erklärt das nicht unbedingt, warum das Essen verdorben war. Ich war sehr enttäuscht und sauer! Da sie ja auch nicht gerade günstig sind. Ich habe wiegesagt sehr gern dort bestellt. Hoffe das es jetzt wieder so ist, wie wir es gewohnt sind. Das mit dem Gutschein ist eine nette Sache. Nur der Gutschein bringt mir auch nix wenn man hinterher im Bad übernachten kann.Wir werden es nochmal versuchen.Werde hier wieder schreiben.

Die ungenießbarste Leber unseres Lebens (3 Personen haben probiert) Die Bohnen waren gut, statt Spinat -Ecken wurden Fetaecken geliefert. Moussaka war kalt, wenig, lieblos überteuert und schlecht gewürzt. Das Kaninchen war lecker. Von der Leber ist wirklich abzuraten.

Gyros und Knoblauchbrot schmecken sehr gut, Preis Leistung stimmt definitiv. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die shots vernünftig Klare Empfehlung!

Haben liefern lassen! Wir hatten die Grillplatte und die Hähnchenbrust in Champions Soße. Dazu gab es Kartoffeln und Reis. Das Fleisch war super und ausreichend von der Menge.. heiß und gut gebraten. Auch die Kartoffeln waren okay. Der Reis war ungesalzen und trocken. Aber das schlimmste ist....es waren Dosen Champignons!! Davon jede Menge...wer die in der heutigen Zeit nutzt,...der kann nicht kochen.. sorry. Lieber weniger davon aber frische, die kosten doch auch nichts mehr 🤷.

Hallo, ich bewerte generell Locations eigentlich nicht negativ - aber mir hat die Lieferung dieses Restaurants garnicht gefallen. Ich bestellte mir Gyros in Metaxasauce, dazu Backkartoffeln und Reis für 19,50€. Die Lieferung wurde eine halbe Stunde zu spät geliefert und musste der Lieferantin auf der Straße entgegen laufen. Das Essen war viel zu wenig, vor Allem noch für fast 20€!, der Reis einfach nur trocken und die Metaxasauce hatte kaum Metaxa Geschmack. Ich vergleiche das Gericht mit Gerichten aus vielen anderen griechischen Restaurants, meine allerschlechteste Erfahrung. Sorry Leute, aber mir hat das Essen und alles Drumherum null gefallen

Wir waren hier Freitags gegen 16:30 Uhr und fanden genug freie Tische vor, hatten vorher nicht reserviert. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Man kann aus einer umfangreichen Karte auswählen. Das Essen kam zügig. Ich persönlich fand es ein bisschen zu wenig gewürzt, gerade beim Gyros. Die Portion hingegen war reichlich - allerdings sind auch die Preise ziemlich hoch.

Berliner Restaurant mit Außenbereich an der Straße, was nicht weiter stört. Das Essen wurde innerhalb von 30min serviert und war sehr lecker. Wer griechisch Essen gehen möchte, kommt hier im guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auf seine Kosten. Gerne wieder.

Die Auswahl und das Essen sind top. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente toll und man fühlt sich, als wäre man im Griechenland-Urlaub. Wer gut essen möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. 👍

Waren am letzten Dienstag frühen Abend zu Fünft zum Essen eingekehrt. Essen ist eher preiswert und schmeckt. Für einen Beilagensalat nur mit Krautsalat fast 6.- Euro zu verlangen, obwohl ein gemischter Beilagensalat sonst laut Karte lediglich etwas über 3.-Euro kostet, ist unverschämt und dreist. Der für uns zuständige Kellner hat trotzdem 5 mal ein Trinkgeld erhalten, hielt es jedoch nicht für nötig bei einer Gesamtrechnung von knapp 95.-Euro einen Ouzo anzubieten. Seine Antwort auf Nachfrage möchte ich hier nicht wiedergeben. Schade, in Vergangenheit sind wir hier gerne eingekehrt. Wegen des Service gibts lediglich einen Stern.

The service was fantastic and the overall experience was perfect. I highly recommend this place even if it is NOT the closest Greek restaurant to where you are.

Leckere Speisen, Fleisch vom Grill in bester Qualität. Etwas Optimierungspotenzial beim Dressing vom kleinen gem. Salat - aber das ist vermutlich Geschmackssache. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht um die Zufriedenheit der Gäst*innen. Wir kommen definitiv bald wieder!

Leider gab es nicht wie üblich einen Uzo zum Anfang und vor dem Essen auch kein kleinen Salat. Das ist sehr untypisch. Zusätzlich ist das gyros sehr trocken. Wir hatten uns sehr gefreut. Schade. Wir kommen nicht noch mal.

Geschäftlich war ich in Berlin, somit musste ein schnelles und leckeres Essen her. Bei der Bestellung gab ich einmal Gyros an, fragte aber zugleich ob es eine große Portion sein, da ich eigentlich auch gerne einen Saganaki essen wollte. Ehrlich Antwort von ihm, dass beides zu viel sei. Eine Minute später kam er wieder und schlug mit vor die Kleine Portion (wahrscheinlich Kinder) und den Feta zur Vorspeise. Super nett und aufmerksam. Das Gyros war super lecker und der Feta ebenfalls- absolute Empfehlung. Beim Bezahlen teilte er mir mit, dass die EC Karte heute nicht funktionieren würde, ich aber auch gerne morgen wiederkommen könnte, falls ich es nicht in bar dabei habe! Super essen, super Service…mehr brauche ich nicht :)

Das Lokal hat die Preise unverschämt angehoben. Ein Gyros kostet jetzt 17,90 € und einTzaziki 5,40 €.....zudem wurde nur eine halb gefüllte Plastikschale geliefert. Das war definitiv unsere letzte Bestellung

Kleines griechisches Restaurant mit nettem Service und leckeren Speisen. Bin schon oft dort gewesen und immer wieder gerne da.

Essen war lecker, Restaurant war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Preise waren okay.

Mäßig gutes Essen. Lammfilet war zäh, nicht ganz durch, wässrig und schon recht kühl, Tsatsiki langweilig und nur ein kleines Näpfchen, die Backkartoffeln okay. Besonders viel war es auch nicht (bestellt). Für die Qualität und Menge überteuert. Muss nicht wiederholt werden.
