Apfelwein-Wirtschaft Fichtekränzi in Frankfurt am Main

A truly comfortable place. The food and drinks were top-notch. I'd like to give special praise to the waitress Silvie—other restaurants could take a leaf out of her book on how to do hospitality. And the Fichtekränzi is a traditional restaurant that keeps up with the times: card payments are easily accepted!

I had a fantastic evening on Friday. The service was spectacularly warm, fast, and courteous from the two twin sisters and the bearded colleague, not to mention the cool barman. We all enjoyed the food, and I'd love to celebrate my next birthday there with my friends again. Thank you for everything, see you next time.

The food was very good. I think the ambience has to be like that for a cider bar, old and traditional. It's not mine. The service is moderately friendly, but maybe that's part of the style. Card payments are only possible for larger amounts. You have to come together. I wouldn't go back

I was recently at Fichtekränzi with work colleagues, we had a wonderful time at Fichtekränzi, the super fast and friendly staff made our stay better. There was also the super delicious food, which was prepared with love. So all in all it was a wonderful evening, which ended with Äpler and Medpelchen. We always enjoy coming to this traditional cider farm.

Delicious German food and nice staff. Prices are mid-range I would say. The food portions are enormous. A place perfect for going out in large groups. Expect it to be a bit noisy though. I really enjoyed the visit here.

The "Fichtekränzi" is one of the few traditional apple wine taverns that still have a counter where you can sit. This counter, the really good food selection, the good service and the pleasant atmosphere are the reasons why we have been ending the week here at the counter on Fridays for many months. Two or three Äppelwoi, of course a handkäs and babbling with the “Theker” is Hessian hospitality in practice. Unfortunately, on our last visit we had to experience that people can also be inhospitable. I don't want to go into detail here, but we will miss our Friday counter...

I used to go there often, but now I'm glad I went one door further because the condition was kind of bothering me. And now I read in the consumer window about mice, rats, feces and urine on the shelf, etc. Disgusting, just disgusting. Before visiting, take a look at the Hesse consumer window.

Absolutely the best Äppelwoi business in all of Frankfurt! Super delicious food, rustic feeling and always worth a stay in the outdoor area in summer! The two girls who run the shop are super nice and always in a good mood :) Tip: The medlars are also super tasty here.

The food is quite good, but the price is now completely crazy. Another 10 percent for the new year. Just under 30 euros per person and not even really full. That's it for me.

Terrible...we wanted to have dinner there the other day. We sat down, the waitress brought the menu, ordered the drinks and received them. Then the incredible thing happened: We saw a RAT running behind the counter...we were shocked, put money on the table and left immediately. The whole thing has also been confirmed by the authorities, see the hygiene report on the Hesse consumer platform. DISGUSTING 🤢!!!!!

I celebrated my walkout here on December 5, 2024 with 11 colleagues. Despite making a reservation 3 months ago (!), we had to sit across two tables that were spaced apart; annoying! The food and service were okay - but what was very annoying was that at the end I had to pay a bill of almost €500 in cash. I called again two days before and was confirmed that paying with both debit and credit cards was no problem, even for larger amounts. Since it was around 11 p.m. and the next U2 to Nieder-Eschbach wasn't for half an hour or an hour, I didn't have time for long discussions with the employees at the checkout and had to withdraw cash from the bank opposite (which cost an additional € The fee cost 5.50!). Very annoying that the staff uses this well-known trick ("the card reader isn't working right now") to put the VAT into their own pockets!

Yes, at Fichtekränzi at Wallstrasse 5, you can get Äppelwein and good ribs with cabbage or other good dishes. It's best to look for something hearty in terms of food and drink from the menu and order it. The waitresses are fit and quick. It's best to make a reservation there as the restaurant is very busy with tourists and locals. Frankfurt am Main, Sachsenhausen. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars from me.

Nice surprise! Did not expect much from this place but it turned out to be super good!! Really great authentic food. Simple, traditional dishes but made to an excellent standard. Frankfurter Sauce is always a tricky one at 80% of our table loved it while 20% thought it was a bit to creamy. But again- very individual choice - service really fast and efficient despite the place being super packed. Also we happened to come after an Eintracht game (which they lost against Mainz 1:3) so the place was completely packed with Eintracht supporters and fans which gave a great vibe. Really good place and a nice change from uber touristic Wagner (nothing wrong w Wagner BTW).

Saturday evening: The place is full, expect waiting times, but it's worth every minute! Great people at the counter and in service, good down-to-earth food, everything Tipitoppi. We'd love to come back!

The taste is really balance, but not really something special to remember. We also ordered the Apfelwein and it was also recommended to mix with sprakling water, but I prefered without, because I could taste the apple flavor better. In summary, that was a very new experience with the local german restaurant in Frankfurt

Friday evening at Fichtekränzi: lots of happy and loud people in an original environment, an Äppelwoi in front of you, good food, nice staff with fast service: what more could you want? We felt really comfortable.

Service was incredibly unfriendly, so we will never go there again, despite the fact that the food was good. Too bad.

We had a wonderful evening in this original Frankfurt apple wine bar! The food was simply delicious, from the traditional Frankfurt specialties to the hearty side dishes, everything was prepared with love. I would particularly like to emphasize the good service, the waiter Alexej was particularly friendly and accommodating. He delighted us with his recommendations and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. The background noise is a bit loud but I think that's part of the atmosphere. It is rustic, traditional and cozy, which reflects the topic of economics well and made the evening something special. I highly recommend this cider bar!

Super delicious food. I can especially recommend the spare ribs with BBQ sauce! The meat was so soft that it fell off the bone and you could easily eat it with a knife and fork and not have to get your fingers dirty. The Käsespätzle are made with a lot of cheese (logically) but might be too much for some. Schnitzel was also delicious.

Great Frankfurt pub, with very good Frankfurt specialties on the menu. The staff is unexpectedly personable and friendly, which I know differently from many other cider bars. The audience is diverse and represented in every age group. Has a great atmosphere and is highly recommended. By the way, it has become my father and I's favorite pub!

Every time I'm in FFM it's a must to stop at Fichte Kränzi.

There were three of us there on Saturday evening, reservations are recommended. By 7 p.m. a line had formed outside. The atmosphere is old-school with long benches and tables where several groups sit together. Accordingly loud and narrow. Unfortunately there was a lamp above us that kept flickering, which was really annoying. In addition, you have to go outside to go to the toilet. And since it was autumnally fresh and rainy, I found that inappropriate. We all ordered the same meal, Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce and fried potatoes. It was at the table within 5 minutes, but there was only a single, very thin piece of schnitzel on each of the three plates (first photo). The potatoes were tasty but almost burnt in some places. The sauce was fresh and delicious. Normally you can get 2 schnitzels of this size in one portion for the same price. When we asked the waitress about it, we were told that it was now normal and that schnapps was a compliment. While we were choosing our dessert, our new tablemates ordered the same schnitzel dish and, drum roll, received 2 pieces of schnitzel. These were no smaller than our 1 piece (second photo). After we expressed our displeasure again, dessert (which was delicious) was on the house, but the bad mood remained. Overall, I think the prices are too high for this portion size and the behavior of the chef. But the service is great, I would like to thank you again for that. The service was very reliable, quick and helpful.

The Fichtekränzi in Sachsenhausen is a great cider bar. The atmosphere is cozy and the people are friendly. The apple cider tastes very good. A real tip if you are looking for an authentic Frankfurt experience. You immediately feel at home here and will be happy to come back again and again.

Probably the best traditional bar/pub I have ever been to in Frankfurt! Lovely food, lovely drinks, lovely people! Must try the potatoes with green sauce! And the Mispelchen!

If you are looking for a typical German or Frankfurter restaurant, this place is a mist to come. A few hundred meters walk from Lokalbagnhof. Apple wine is a good start and then a plate of Frankfurter Cheese with onion. Have a Frankfurter Buchlter Plate and Fried Pork as the main course. Ends up with famous apple pie. Highly recommended to all of you.

I have to leave this review here for whomever planning to go to this restaurant - please be aware of your belongings! My purse got STOLEN in the garden. I put my purse next to me and was talking to my friends the whole time. When I was leaving, the purse was just gone. We stayed until 11 pm so there was no one in the garden other than us. I had all my IDs, credit cards and keys in my purse. I was horrified and blocked all my cards right away. I tried to communicate with the staff there but they literally didn’t care. Went to the police next day and they promised to send someone to this restaurant (they didn’t). I called the restaurant again and they told me they found my purse in the garden under the tree - the purse was open and all the cash were gone. The thief didn’t take any foreign coins I had in my purse so he must have had enough time to go through my purse, and have access to the yard of this restaurant. I have all the records at police of what I stated above.

The Fichte and the Atschel are part of Dribdebach ebbe. Leggerschmegger. Great hand cheese-class apple wine. What more do you need? Nice outdoor area.

Have often had lovely evenings here! Rustic Ebbelwoi restaurant with delicious food. Unfortunately, the red pencil appears to have been rigorously applied. Schnitzel that used to fill you up has unfortunately shrunk to the size of a child's schnitzel, even though the prices have gone up thanks to the tax adjustment. I hope you invest the higher income in your service and kitchen staff, because they are really good! The one star for the food is only for the savings. As always, the taste was excellent.

A place with a good atmosphere. The food is just average (honestly not delicious...) and poor value for money. There was no guidance and it took about 20 minutes to even order. If you are busy, I recommend going elsewhere. Restaurant employees smoke one cigarette every 10 minutes right next to the outdoor table. The total cost of the food was 48 euros, but when I said I would pay with a credit card, they said it would be 50 euros..? (This is the only place I've seen this happen while traveling in Europe for over a month) I don't know if this is discrimination ^^.. There's no reason to go here.

If you are a tourist, DO NOT go here. I typically never leave reviews but I have never received such awful customer service in my life. I wanted to change my order from eggs with green sauce to fish with green and the waitress yelled at me in front of the whole restaurant saying I can’t change the order since it’s already in the system. Note that I asked for this change less than 1 minute after the original order and it became a big issue. You would think they would want more money for the fish especially with them knowing I am an obvious tourist. The food was okay but it wasn’t what I wanted so I was not satisfied. Then as I was leaving the restaurant, the waitress proceeded to yell at me again for having a water bottle in her restaurant and that water bottles are for campers. I ordered a glass of apfelwein with my meal so I do not know why she had to yell at me again in front of the whole restaurant that I can’t have my water bottle there after I paid for the service and while I was leaving the restaurant. She also mentioned the water bottle is for campers. Maybe it’s racism, but if you are a tourist or minority, DO NOT go here. There are plenty of other restaurants near by with local German food and more welcoming attitudes.

You can sit very nicely on the terrace. The food came very quickly after ordering and the service was very attentive. However, the food didn't convince me. The ribs were very dry and didn't convince me for the high price of just under €18 (only with bread, no mashed potatoes). The rest of the dishes didn't blow us away either. Very unfortunate

My friends and I just wanted to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately the evening was spoiled for us. We were hit because we wanted to pay separately. When we said that it was disrespectful to speak like that to customers who pay over €150, Sabine just said that there was no need to talk to her and that she was in charge. Overall we were not valued as customers and I would actually say that Ms. Sabine was extremely disrespectful towards her customers.

I was here with friends, the double Lottchen has a name...Sabine and Silvia...the lively pair of twins are an asset to Frankfurt's gastronomy..Thank you for this top and fast service..I'll be happy to come back.

Was great again. Fast and friendly service despite the heat and rush hour. Food very tasty and portions that also satisfy hungry adults. Äppler - eh fei Stöffsche - a visit is definitely worth it. Large groups should make reservations, but spontaneous events also work. A small point of criticism: EC payment is generally possible. But if the system doesn't work - just say the information sheet at the entrance or before the first order - it would have been nice. Luckily I still had real cash with me. But the positive points see above outweigh the negatives, right😉 And don't forget: the mashed potatoes were a poem!

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience, we had the Schlachtplatte and the Spare Rips. Unfortunately, both were completely overcooked and abnormally dry, not to say almost inedible. I'm not very picky, but it was the first time in a long time that I had to leave half a plate uneaten. I am more than disappointed and open that the kitchen is taking this to heart.

Hello, we love apple cider and semolina sauce. Good and I'm happy to pay counterfeit money! BUT today there is a tip with additional services and a dessert. Thanks for the wine and water. Many people also think that the location smells bombastic and appealing, although SGE is not good, it is the best team in Venezuela and Cologne and worldwide, but we hate this Kickers Offenbach! We spent a fun evening here. Sabine and Sylvie are really warm and gave us great service. The knuckle was very tender and the puree was homemade with potato pieces, great! Green sauce was also delicious. It's nice to sit outside here. Gladly again.

We arrived at around 9:45 p.m. and luckily we just got something to eat, remember it's Friday and Euro 24.
