Stop by here every time when I’m in Frankfurt. Roasted pork Knuckle is my favorite one and the Schnitzel is so crispy and favor. Those are the to go dish and Don’t forget to order Germany beer .

So we came here after craving schnitzel badly and this turned out to be an amazing dining experience. We opted for Cordon bleu, pommes (fries), and Tartuffo frucht, and we knew that we were in for a treat. The Cordon bleu was nothing short of perfection — a beautiful golden crumb, irresistibly crispy, and generously filled with ham and cheese. This seemingly simple dish proved to be a mouthwatering delight. The fries were a salty and crispy delight, meeting our expectations completely. Poor quality of food. Very small German pub with mediocre food. Definitely overpriced and aimed at tourists.

The staff was very friendly and worked with my basic German speaking. The schnitzel was amazing and the beer was delicious. I wanted to go back again before leaving town. But we stopped in during the dinner rush without reservations (which was our fault). Place was very busy and popular.

Characteristic place with very good, typical German dishes, I recommend the pork stew with potatoes and mushroom sauce, I recommend booking because the place is small, I didn't book and waited 40 minutes

I had a beer at Schweinhaksen and it was delicious.

A restaurant called The German Cuisine. Due to circumstances, I walked in on short notice without a reservation, but after waiting about 30 minutes, they found a seat for me. The specialty is the schnitzel, which is large and delicious. For the beer, I ordered a dark beer, which is only available in winter, and it had a rich flavor that was different from Pils or Weizen. This store is also popular with tourists.

We were in the restaurant shortly before closing time and were warmly welcomed and given a table straight away. The restaurant was still busy. It is rustically furnished and appears small and compact. The taste of the food (bratwurst and schmitzel) was ok but not outstanding. I consider the price-performance ratio to be appropriate. The staff was very nice and took the time to chat. But since there are many inns and restaurants nearby, it was a one-off visit.

Love this restaurant! Food is great and wait staff is super friendly. I got the Wienerschnitzel with Spätzle and a side of their Rahm sauce. Absolutely delicious!! I actually ended up going there twice on my trip and got the exact same thing because it was so good! 😁Highly recommended!

Really, no review pressure or anything like that. A review I voluntarily leave to remember It was just so perfect and the best. If the staff makes eye contact, they come to you promptly and politely. In particular, the school tax was really delicious. This restaurant was the last dinner of our trip to Germany. It was my last school year, and this place was really more to my taste than any school I've had so far. The meat has a slightly sweet seasoning, but it's so delicious. I ate at Hakse Restaurant, thinking it would definitely remind me of my next trip to Korea. The schnitzel cream sauce was delicious and not greasy. The taste itself was just beautiful,, There are a lot of comments on Google about racism and other things, but it's a bit absurd that they come to Germany and call the waiter directly and behave in such an unmannered manner, calling it racism and other things... Please find out what the basic manners are for Asians coming to Europe and go to a restaurant with at least the basic manners.

This store saved my birthday 🥰 Today is my 43rd birthday. We have finished our trip to Spain and transferred to Frankfurt. We plan to return to Taiwan tomorrow. Our flight was delayed and our luggage was still in Barcelona. We were very lucky to have the service and meals provided by this restaurant to warm our birthday😘

I walked in without a reservation around 5pm and by 6pm the seats were full. We were greeted kindly. What I remember the most is that beer... I can't remember the name. I have a picky taste when it comes to alcohol. It's my 5th day in Germany and that beer is the best. I think all Koreans will like it!!! I will come back and drink it on the last day of my trip. Schnitzel is like Korean pork cutlet, but if you travel around Germany, you will see that it is difficult to find that normal schnitzel flavor!! It means delicious. The sausage was also good as a side dish for beer.

Was welcomed into the restaurant and seated by the bar. Service was warm and prompt. The pork knuckle seemed to have changed slightly after the Covid break, but still generally good. Moist inside with a partial good cracking outside. Portion is substantial for one person. A hardworking team of service crew on a Sunday afternoon.

I would recommend it! If I return to Frankfurt, I will repeat lunch in this cozy and good quality space!!

The day before I was to return home, I made a quick stop by and expressed my desire to eat before returning home. The three of us sat at the table and the two of us ate at the bar. Haksen is delicious. It was softer than the one Seong Si-kyung filmed on YouTube, but the taste was a bit salty. European food seems to be saltier than Korean food. The German sausage is so delicious that it's a shame I won't be able to eat it when I go to Korea.

German restaurant located in Frankfurt. Visited without reservation in the evening. I ordered schnitzel, Schweinhaxen, and Frankfurt sausage, and the schnitzel and Schweinhaxen were delicious. In particular, I ordered a winter-only beer from this store, and the taste of the beer was special, so I definitely recommend ordering it. It's cozy and the staff provide good service. I recommend a visit.

Absolutely not worth a visit for this price. The veal schnitzel was more breadcrumbs than anything else. Pork schnitzel was still ok. You can tell it's definitely not cooked with love and the price is just a way to make money for me. If the food were at least particularly good you could turn a blind eye, but you can't get anything special cheaper elsewhere.

Too many handfuls are unpalatable! Families! If you have this kind of money, why not go to eat spicy food next door?

This was our second visit to Römer Pils Brunnen and it was just as good as the first time - tasty food and absolutely amazing service, definitely worth a visit while in Frankfurt. Prices are a little higher but it feels worth it for the friendly service and nice atmosphere

Good German food service is good

Just an alright experience. The food is way too expensive for what it is. We were the only non Asian people in this small establishment (unsure why). The spaetzle is literally just that, plain boiled pasta as it comes with no sauce, no seasoning & no melted cheese (never been served it that way before and doesn’t state this on the menu). It costs extra to add sauce to their spaetzle (found this very strange). Draft beer 🍺 good. None of the wait staff had any idea what was in their own dishes, making it a challenge for those with food allergies. Not what was expected during initial visit to this city. Not a place I can recommend or will return to.

Firstly I must say that the service offered by the blond girl was the most sincere and best ever and most friendly for a German Restaurant. Most of the clientele are Asians for some strange reason but the atmosphere is quaint and nostalgic. My pork knuckle was average after reading all the reviews. The meat was a little raw for me.

It is a place where you can try typical Frankfurt food. A place where you will find both tourists and regular inhabitants. You have to make a reservation as it is very full and small. It has a bar where you can also have lunch or dinner but it is not very big either. The beer is great. They have an extensive menu of different brands. If you go by car, there is a parking lot 2 minutes away. They have tables outside during the morning. Everything they offer on the menu is really good. The service is very friendly and fast. Be careful because the shifts are 90m. Value for money, correct.

There were counter seats, so there were quite a few people eating alone. The store staff will give you a cheerful and pleasant service. The customer base is about 50-50 split between locals and Asians. The volume is a little high. There are many types of drinks. Easy to find the store. If you want to enjoy German food in a casual manner, I highly recommend it.

During dining time on weekday evenings, there is an endless stream of diners. We were sitting at the bar area, and the guests around us were also tourists coming to dine! Their German pig's trotters are really delicious, the meat is not too tough, I like the taste, and the skin is crispy. Two people ordered a salad and pig's trotters, and the portion was just right! The clerks are very polite.

wir waren enttäuscht: das Steak war alles andere als medium-sehr roh--viel Fett und sehnig- 1/3 war nicht zu essen, wenig Bratkartoffeln meine Roulade war zäh-nur mit 1 Gurke, dafür mit Fleischbrei gefüllt- Klöße aus Pulver und nicht durch-Salat angerichtet -Dressing aus Flasche geschüttet und darauf noch Salat angerichtet auf tiefen kleinen Teller, sodaß man nicht selber mischen konnte viel schlechter als in den letzten Jahren-werden nicht mehr hingehen

It was my first time trying Schweinshaxe, and the taste was excellent. Although we sat at the bar instead of a table, the atmosphere was even better. The staff were professional and friendly, making it an enjoyable experience.

Among the best restaurants I've eaten in Germany, it's not too salty~ The majesty of the 3rd place restaurant... The interior is also good.

Wir waren letztes Jahr im Sommer in diesem Lokal und mußten jetzt feststellen, dass die Preise eklatant und meiner Meinung nach nicht gerechtfertigt erhöht wurden. Schnitzel mit 18,90 klingt ganz gut, aber das ist auch nur das Schnitzel, ohne jede Beilage. Bratkartoffel z.B. kosten glatt € 7,50 zusätzlich. Eine Zwiebelsuppe kostet € 10,90. Salat fehlt gänzlich. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, aber der Preis ist es nicht (mehr)-

It was Friday evening, but the friendly waitresses gave us a table without any problems.

Haksen + salad is enough for two people. Haksen is a bit salty, so eating it with a salad will balance it out. that's right!! When paying, ask if you want to tip. Haha. I gave it 5% because a slightly drunk German guy was making a fuss next to the bar, so he cleaned it up because he saw the atmosphere. Then he came and asked if you were okay and that you could drink more. He apologized. That's very kind!!!!

Frankfurter schnitzel wasn't on the menu, but I heard it could be ordered, so I ordered it, but it turned out that the green sauce for the schnitzel was almost seven dollars separately. The fact that green sauce is billed separately, and the price is not listed on the menu, are all known through the receipt when paying. As a person living in Frankfurt, the schnitzel was average, the salad tasty, and the frankf. Rippchen just ok. The portion was great, as one would expect in any other German restaurant too. Particularly about this restaurant: There’s no Frankfurter Schnitzel (Schnitzel with green sauce) on the menu but one can get it upon request. But what they’d charge you in addition to the schnitzel cost would be the additional green sauce cost which was 6,90 euro. This cost, which is more expensive than a beer, was not transparent as it had not been communicated during the ordering and also not written on the menu. I’ve expressed the lack of the restaurant’s transparency once I received the bill but the waitress was indifferent. Even if the food was special and remarkably delicious (which it was not), I won't recommend the place as the price was not transparent + the price of the green sauce 6,90 euro is more expensive than a glass of beer, which comes as a shock when you receive the bill. Overall: food ok but nothing special imo+ lack of price transparency

One of the best places to dine in the center of Frankfurt with top notch choices. Must try the hunters style schnitzel and the strudel as a dessert. Big thank you the all the waitresses that they try to accommodate us with best way possible.

Place with atmosphere, and the bar itself is cool. We came to it based on recommendations from Google and a travel blog, to eat something typical of Frankfurt without the sausages... and what a disappointment. The plates are big, yes. But the schnitzel was quite dry and at the price of almost entrecôte in Spain (thank goodness we ordered it with sauce), and the typical Hankäss Mit Musik, which was the first time we tried, was exorbitant in price considering that there are two slices of cheese with chopped onion on top and vinegar (pretty bad, by the way). We have seen it in other places for €5-6. Cocacola (on tap, on top of that, it's not a bottle) more than €6, laughable. Adequate service from the waitress. But well, the worst came when paying. After bringing us the bill (attached photo) we paid with cash and they did not bring us the return. The ticket said that the tip was not included, but they charged it at their own expense. The price does not at all correspond to the quality of the place, more than €60 for three dishes and two cokes. Right now at Christmas you eat better and for much less than half at any of the markets.

Walked in 330pm yesterday w/o reservation and was recommended by JW concierge. The restaurant surprisingly pretty full and quite a lot of Asian diners. Ordered Pork Knuckle and mushroom sauce schnitzel. Overall food not bad.

So delicious we went back a second time! Close to the Christmas Market so we could walk over and sit down and have a nice meal. The service was great-and very helpful (noting a dish was spicy, and which wine was sweet). Our food was excellent-ghoulash, fresh bread, pork and potatoes in a creamy mushroom sauce.

I just arrived Frankfurt and looking for a good restaurant to satisfy my craving for Schnitzel. I follow the reviews and ended up here with my family. We were beyond satisfied with the delicious food and excellent service. Schnitzels were tasty, big and flat which we preferred than those thick ones. Mussels were super fresh and so delicious. Restaurant is small , traditional decor, cosy and efficient staff. Highly recommended and we will be back to this restaurant for sure.

Service good, ambience as well, taste OK to good. All in all very average. If you ignore the price, I would give it 3 stars. However, the price is outrageous. I've never had schnitzel so expensive. The schnitzels are served without any side dishes. No fries, no salad, nothing. Fries cost €6.90 extra, side salad €8.90 extra. That means for one person: A schnitzel for €24.90 with fries for €6.90 and salad for €8.90 + 1 cola (0.4L) for €6 = €47. This is really outrageous and absolutely unjustified. The exorbitant price drags down the entire rating, so that out of 3 stars, only a maximum of 1 star remains.
