The small, quaint restaurant is instantly cozy. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. The food here is fantastic. I had the beef goulash with dumplings. The goulash was as tender as butter, and the dumplings seemed homemade. The Indian chef has a real knack for his braised dishes. He spent some time in the dining room and was interested in where the guests were from. A very friendly guy who recommended a medlar liqueur, which we ordered again. He also has several dishes from his homeland on the menu, which other guests have told me are also very delicious. I definitely recommend this Indian restaurant serving German cuisine.

A very cozy and homey atmosphere, with prompt and consistently friendly service. The food is simply divine... the best venison goulash ever. As are all the other dishes, simply delicious and freshly prepared. A friendly and welcoming environment; the chef/owner and the staff are always there for their guests. Cozy and very good menu from Indian to German

I feel like I've become a regular at the Stadtschänke – and for good reason! The entire team is super friendly, the service is fantastic, and the food is simply fantastic. I usually order one of the delicious schnitzels (always great!), but today I had the Lamb Tikka Masala from the weekly menu – and it was truly amazing! Tender meat, wonderful spices, truly aromatic – simply delicious. Everything is just perfect here: atmosphere, service, and food. Highly recommended!

Small, quaint restaurant, very nice service and owner. Veal schnitzel was a bit fatty, but freshly prepared and very tasty. Smaller tip for the location: remove the two arcade machines from the corner and expand them by 2-4 spaces.

We ate at the Stadtschänke for the first time today and left very satisfied and full. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared by all four. The schnitzel is fried in the pan. From the starter to the super tasty Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, everything was great. Very nice service and well-kept restaurant. We'll be back. Keep it up 😉

Very attentive service, good cook. Meat fresh from the butcher. I ordered spit roast with mashed potatoes. Didn't wait long and everything was tasty and plentiful. As a sauce fan, my attention was there too. Simply delicious. Price/performance is right! Didn't have to wait. What I didn't know from Saxony: cider on tap! Thumbs up! Keep it up!

A great little listed restaurant. We sat in the small but nice garden and watched the final of the European Football Championship. There was apple wine, fries, Ramazzotti. Everything was delicious, nicely prepared. The other guests' dishes all looked delicious too. The house then offered small portions of nachos and fries at a later hour. Inside it looks cozy in Hesse. Under new ownership for a few months. The food tastes very good, the portions are very good, and the prices are more than reasonable. The new owners are very friendly and offer good service. This means that insults from the old owner are a thing of the past. And the food is served much faster; In the past, waiting times of 1 hour were not uncommon. The menu is a bit crazy in a positive sense: there is German cuisine, Indian food, burgers and, for example, Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. There is also a small weekly menu. We've been there three times now and tried different dishes and haven't been disappointed yet. In any case an enrichment for Bergen-Enkheim.

The innkeeper is annoyed, insults guests, when ordering the guest is also insulted, everything is too much for him and best of all he wonders why so few people come and gossips about guests and insults them. Nobody needs someone like that, just outrageous and an imposition!

Ich habe mich entschieden heute in dieser Gaststätte Omas Roulade und vorab eine leckere Suppe zu essen. Ich bin begeistert, futtern wie bei Muttern trifft es auf den Punkt. Ich habe meine Portion nicht ganz geschafft, eine echte Schande. Sehr sehr lecker. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen diesen Urigen Ort einmal zu besuchen. Ich komme definitiv wieder. Lekker eten en ook heerlijk bier. Echter was ik geinterseerd in eten met asperges. Ik werd zeer snel en gehaast door de kaart heen gewezen, en dat werd in de prijs achteraf duidelijk, ruim het dubbele qua kosten dan mijn vrouw. De porties groene saus is zo groot, dat we met 1 portie ruim voldoende hadden, 2e portie was bijna 5 euro meer. Toch jammer dat ze dat niet aangeven. Al was de saus heerlijk. Kortom, echt duitse kroegsfeer, wel jammer van de bediening

Preis /Leistung ist super. Leider ist der Wirt total überfordert und gestresst, sodass er sehr unfreundlich und dadurch das Ambiente negativ beeinflusst wird. Heute waren wir Zeugen, wie er eine Stammkundin angeschrien hat, weil sie in einem für ihn unpassenden Moment nach der Rechnung gefragt hat. Danach hat sich keine/r mehr getraut den Wirt überhaupt anzusprechen. Nachdem die Dame die Gaststätte verlassen hat, ist er über sie hergezogen und hat sich laut rechtfertigt, dass er eine OneManShow machen würde, um die Preise niedrig zu halten …. Unmöglich ist dieses Verhalten, wenn günstig mit unfreundlich gleichzusetzen ist, dann verlange lieber mehr Geld. Schließlich geht man ja auch aus wegen der Gesamterfahrung und nicht nur, weil Essen günstig ist. Dann könnte ich ja auch Zuhause essen, das ist immer am günstigsten.

Der Wirt ist echt ne Granate 😂 Wir hatten hier unseren Spaß mit ihm. Das Essen war super gut und ordentliche Portionen für einen schmalen Taler. Wir kommen wieder.

Der Besitzer ist immer wieder geil drauf. Das Essen hervorragend und absolut empfehlenswert.

Heid sind die Preise noch auf vor Corona Niveau geblieben ganz großes Lob. Natürlich darf man nicht dir Haute Cuisine erwarten, geschmeckt hat es Trotzdem. Würde aber das nächste Mal Schnitzel und co. ohne Soßen bestellen. Kleiner Typ, Geld mitbringen, Karten werden hier nicht akzeptiert.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen und eine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Aaaaaaber Bedienung/Kellner/Koch/Chef und was er gerne noch gleichzeitig sein möchte.... das größte A...... was mir in einem Restaurant jemals begegnet ist!. Das Restaurant, Speisen, Preise sind empfehlenswert.

Leckere deutsche Küche mit frischer grüner Soße. Sehr leckerer Apfelwein. Der Besitzer ist etwas rustikal und versprüht seinen Frankfurter Charme. Zu Stammgästen ist der Ton wohl etwas rauer, aber es spricht für das Lokal, dass die Gäste immer wieder dorthin zurückkommen. Am Ende gab es noch einen leckeren Schnaps mit einer Rosine aufs Haus.

Eine echte Bereicherung. In gemütlicher Fachwerkambiente innen wie außen werden ehrliche und leckere Speisen und Getränke zu fairen Preisen geboten. Durch eine Dauerbaustelle wird dieses kleine und feine Lokal leider schnell übersehen, was es fast zum Geheimtipp macht. Also Augen auf und sich auf das Mispelchen zum Abschluss freuen. Wir kommen wieder, das ist keine Drohung 👍 Wir waren wieder da, nach längerer nicht geplanter Pause. Es war wieder ein Hochgenuss: Pfifferlingspeisen aller Art, Äpplerbowle, Hammer Rumpsteak und Beilagensalat, Ajoli und... Probiert es einfach aus. Bis bald 😎

Ich war dort abends essen , Bestellung aufnehmen und bringen ging sehr schnell und lecker war's auch . Der Wirt hat halt einen trockenen Humor , ich mag sowas . Und gemütlich ist es auch, also beide Daumen hoch

Ich habe hier heute sehr gut gegessen. Das Frankfurter Schnitzel mit grüner Soß‘ war sehr lecker. Zu mir war man freundlich. Und das Essen kam auch recht schnell.

Ein uriges kleines Lokal mit Charme und hessischer "Laune" ;-) Habe nun schon mehrmal verschiedene Gerichte dort gegessen und es hat mir immer geschmeckt. Hier hat man das Kochhandwerk noch gelernt. Preis/ Leistung absolut OK, und ich komme immer wieder gerne zurück

Ich weiß nicht,was die Bemerkung über den wirt soll, wir sind positiv überrascht, er ist urig,aber nicht unfreundlich, eher lustig, wir hatten immer etwas zu lachen. Das Essen ist sehr gut und reichlich, auch der Preis ist in Ordnung. Wir waren 2 mal hier Essen und es war jedesmal topp. Hier gebe ich gern 5 Sterne 🌟

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis! Sehr preiswertes und frisches Essen. Man muss den Humor des Wirts mögen, ist das Eis erstmal gebrochen, ist er ein lieber Kerl. Wer meint, dass er keine Geduld hat um auf frisch Zubereitetes Essen zu warten, der sollte zu MC Donalds gehen! Schönes Uriges Ambiente kommt noch oben drauf! Wirklich ein tolles Lokal!

Habe nun ein paar mal dort gegessen und war immer sehr zufrieden. Richtig schön handgemachte Küche zu fairen Preisen. Wie schon mehrmals hier betont, ist der Ton des Wirtes ein bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Essen sehr lecker in urigem, kleinem Lokal. Auch wenn die Stimmung mal etwas "rau" sein kann, uns hat es gefallen.

Wir haben dort total gut gesessen und gegessen. Preise sind günstig für das was geboten wird. Der Wirt ist sehr spontan und direkt. Leider liegt die Gaststätte direkt neben einem Gerüst, das wohl schon einige Jahre da steht. Augen auf. Es lohnt sich.

Wir kommen gerne und oft in die Berger Stadtschänke. Sehr gutes Essen und Trinken in urigem, schönen Lokal. Udo (der Wirt) ist ein echtes Berger Original. Seine Sprüche heben die Stimmung regelmäßig. An manchen Abenden kann es ziemlich voll sein - Reservierung empfohlen. Im Sommer gibt es noch einen kleinen Hof in dem man sitzen kann.

Echt super gut gezapftes Bier, das sucht man heute oft vergebens. Ich ese gerne Pfifferlinge und die gab es gleich in mehreren Gerichten. Es hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt und ich kann auch wegen der sehr freundlichen und schnellen Bedienung das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen.
