Excellent and truly delicious dishes. There's something for everyone here. Traditional Frankfurt cuisine is wonderfully fresh and originally interpreted (the dressing on the side salad was absolutely superb!). A great Frankfurt apple wine atmosphere with all its diverse character, and extremely motivated, genuinely honest, and friendly service staff round off a truly perfect evening at Lemp for us. The apple wine poured from the Bembel (traditional stoneware jug) into the Gerippte (a ribbed glass) fizzes like apple juice and leaves nothing to be desired. For me, the absolute top apple wine tavern in Mainhattan 👌👌👌☝️

A very nice and good apple wine tavern plus. Great food, very friendly service and, as the cherry on top, the Lempenfieber theater.

The cider tastes of basically nothing and is bought in from somewhere, but it's even worse than factory-made cider made from rapeseed. The hand cheese was completely white and not a bit soured, not even worse than from Aldi! The bread was a disgrace; it wasn't even from the day before, something you'd only use to feed the ducks. Sitting in the courtyard is quite pleasant, but under these circumstances, no thanks, never again. Our table neighbors sent back all their meat, which was apparently no good either.

We went bowling nearby yesterday and were really hungry afterward. The restaurant was the only one in the area with good reviews, so we thought we'd give it a try. And it was absolutely worth it! We were greeted very warmly by the waitresses. Even though it was quite busy, they spontaneously found us a seat. The server was super friendly and helpful, welcomed us warmly, brought us the menus, and told us about the current game week. The food was truly delicious—both the Frankfurter Schnitzel and the Käsespätzle were excellent! The service was attentive and friendly, and we felt completely at home. We can definitely recommend the restaurant and will definitely be back!

Five of us came on a Thursday and were allowed to stay until about 11 p.m. Very accommodating! As a Frankfurt native, the handkäs should have been a bit more mature, but that didn't bother our guest from Hamburg!

A classic "Gudd Stubb" with a beer garden and a no-frills dining room in a classic style. You have to look for something like this again these days, especially in and around Frankfurt. When the weather's nice, you sit outside under the chestnut trees; otherwise, it's inside. It's considerably darker there, due to the interior, but it's by no means uncomfortable; rather, it's rustic and in the style it should be. The staff matches this perfectly. Casual, relaxed, with a local accent, but always hospitable and service-oriented. The dishes include the classics like Handkäs mit Musik (traditional cheese with music), Schnitzel with fried potatoes, and more, and a menu that's pleasantly slim and not overly loaded. There should be something for everyone here. Add a cool Sauergespritzter (sauerkraut spritzer), and all is right with the world. 😊

Highly recommended! After many, many visits, no matter the season, it's always top-notch. Beautiful beer garden under a large chestnut tree, a rustic restaurant inside, and a cozy atmosphere. The friendly, prompt service, always with a good saying, which is part of the apple cider tradition, also contributes to this. The Schoppe is robust and comes from the Walther winery. We've also had only positive experiences with large celebrations. The food and service are always excellent, and we're always satisfied; we'd be happy to come back... It's great that such an apple wine culture still exists. P.S. They also serve beer 😉

Overall, we were satisfied and will return or recommend the restaurant to friends and acquaintances. The food and drinks were delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The staff was very friendly, albeit a bit overwhelmed at times (though admittedly, it was also very busy). However, they could have asked for more drinks when our glasses were empty; we certainly would have ordered more drinks. Our biggest criticism of yesterday: the wait time. We waited over (!) an hour for our food. That's definitely too long. Update July 12, 2025: We were here this evening with a small group in the beautiful courtyard/beer garden. The waitress (a young, slim man) was in a great mood. He really enjoyed his job. Special praise for his friendliness!!! The food was once again very tasty, and the drinks were of the usual high quality. An all-round successful evening. Thank you for that, and keep it up!

We were in the garden last Tuesday with eight people. The waitress (Jasmins) was very friendly and extremely efficient. We quickly had a BembEL and various other drinks. The food came almost immediately and tasted delicious. The whole atmosphere in the garden under the chestnut tree is simply fantastic. We'd love to come back, by bike, of course.

The variety of rooms is especially impressive - from a cozy vaulted cellar to a spacious summer garden. The staff creates a truly warm atmosphere, and the crowd here is unpretentious - real, lively. The perfect place to feel the authentic spirit of Frankfurt over a hearty lunch and a glass of good beer. Definitely recommend!

We were able to celebrate a confirmation here on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The tables were beautifully set for the occasion, and everything was wonderfully prepared when we arrived. By prior arrangement, we served Hessian tapas for starters. Each guest could choose their main course from a small menu. This was followed by schnitzel in various variations and side dishes, vegetarian dishes, or the Sunday roast, which, like everything else, looked truly delicious. The portions were very generous, so no one at the table went hungry. Drinks were available. The service was simply excellent! From the preliminary discussions about planning the celebration, the suggestions for brainstorming ideas, to the service at the table. Simply fantastic! We were allowed to bake and bring our own cakes and pastries for coffee. We simply dropped them off the evening before. Our guests felt very comfortable here, and I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you so much for (really) everything and especially for the wonderful day with you!

Cozy, delicious, typically Hessian! The Zum Lemp restaurant is a truly lovely apple wine bar – quaint, welcoming, and with a great atmosphere. The apple wine tastes amazing, nicely refreshing, and just right. The food was really good! The Swiss schnitzel was super tender and flavorful, and the Frankfurt schnitzel with green sauce was a real highlight – the sauce was beautifully fresh and homemade, just as it should be. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell the passion they put into their work. We'll definitely be back – a definite recommendation!

Ordered today for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, the food isn't particularly special anymore. A dry schnitzel, more like a ready-made cream sauce with mushrooms than a traditional hunter's sauce, and the fried potatoes were far too dark. The salad with green sauce for almost 14 euros wasn't a highlight either. Schneegestöber is delicious, the apple wine is great, and the staff is friendly. It's a shame! I would be happy if they paid a little more attention to authentic Hessian cuisine with that certain something. The beer garden and the quaint restaurant in beautiful Berkersheim would certainly be worth it. All the best.

Well attended on Ascension Day. With live music

We arrived at 9 p.m. and were asked if we wanted anything else to eat. We said yes. The waiter said he was going to the kitchen and said the kitchen shouldn't close yet. So far so good, we ordered drinks and food. The drinks were quite good (homemade apple spritzer, but not carbonated). It tasted more like apple juice. Well, then our food arrived. We all ordered schnitzel with fries, onions, or fried potatoes, and hunter's sauce. The schnitzel looked a bit odd. It was slightly browned and pale. It tasted of nothing, absolutely nothing, and was a bit hard. The sauce was also a disappointment and tasted of nothing. The fries were actually quite good. When we paid, the waitress asked if we enjoyed our meal. "Well, it was okay," we replied. She asked why. We explained what the problem was, and the waitress said that the kitchen was closing and we were given something warmed up from the corner. Those were the waitress's words. Honestly, if they had told us that at the beginning, we would have left. This gave us the feeling of being ripped off, and that we would never come back anyway, and that regular customers take priority. Incidentally, all three of us felt the urge to use the bathroom at home afterward because a storm was brewing. Too bad, so it remains a one-time visit.

We were walking around Frankfurt and in the evening we found ourselves near this restaurant, we decided to have dinner here and it turned out to be a great choice! They serve real German cuisine - without an overloaded menu of 6-7 pages, which, in my opinion, is only a plus. The prices are reasonable, the portions are very generous, and the dishes are tasty and filling. The service is also excellent: despite the fact that we were sitting in a separate room downstairs, the waiter regularly came by, was attentive and caring. The food was brought quickly, without a long wait. Although the restaurant is a little out of the way from the center of Frankfurt, the trip there is definitely worth it. A real hidden gem - and we will definitely be back!

We were there as a group. The service at our table was very unfriendly when we expressed a request. The food tasted pretty good, but I've never paid 9.90 euros for a 0.4 wine spritzer, mind you, with ice cubes.

We, the old bikers, ride the Nidda cycle path every now and then and a stop at Lemp is always part of it, including today. Nice weather, the beer garden was well attended, but the staff including the boss got us a table in no time. The food was really great and the price/performance ratio is fair and balanced. Thank you for the nice service and for the good mood you spread, we'll be back.

The service is very nice. It's certainly nice for guests with traditional roots and those who love typical German cuisine. The vegan burger didn't blow me away. This quickly fell apart and the rolls weren't exactly fresh.

Unfortunately, the fried fish came to the plate raw and crumbly. Rather unsavory. The fried potatoes that came with it were anything but fried and didn't deserve the name. Rather: fatty potato pieces with no taste. But the green sauce was really tasty, the service was attentive and in a good mood and the atmosphere was nice and cider-like.

The kale week lured us to this rustic inn and we were not disappointed. Delicious food, large portions and, above all, super attentive, friendly and quick service! Even though we were there during the week, most (or all?) of the tables in the large room were occupied several times. It certainly made sense to reserve in advance. We are looking forward to more themed weeks and are looking forward to testing the beer garden in the summer.

It's always a treat to meet at Lempo. everything is right here. Perfect for anyone who still wants to immerse themselves in a normal world. As usual, the food was very good, rounded off by courteous, friendly service. Here Frankfurt is still Frankfurt and not the fake, soulless wannabe metropolis of the city center.

We were finally back in Lemp. Despite many reservations, there was still a place with a high chair for us. Everyone was very friendly, accommodating and, above all, very fond of children. The food was delicious. Had hand cheese first and then Frankfurter salad and cordon bleu with hand cheese/ham filling. Gladly again.
