Non lo sconsiglio. È un luogo caratteristico e va bene provare. Non ci si carichi di aspettative tuttavia. Poco conveniente nel rapporto qualità-prezzo, da evitare una presa in giro che è la bevanda sidro che offrono in una caraffa molto ricca di acqua e poca materia prima. Ho scorto un cameriere che riciclava ciò che rimaneva non consumato nelle caraffe non svuotate dai clienti. Meglio chiedere acqua normale. Il servizio mi è sembrato buono e il cameriere gentile e sorridente. Buon appetito!

Went here for dinner after exploring the city. Was real easy to get to when using the train, only a short walk from the station. Seemed busy but they have a lot of seating and when you come you can grab any open table you want inside or out. Service was pretty fast from the time I ordered to when I received. I would go again if in the area. Im not really a fan of sauerkraut but I did enjoy the one that was served here. They do take card payment here.

Amazing food - really reccomend the Frankfurter Schnitzel and the Strudel! However, incredibly rude waiters. One in particular - blonde short hair. The tables near us also laughed and said it’s known she’s always very mean. Not too sure how a place is allowed to behave this way. We also Had to wait 10 minutes to get the bill because only your waiter is allowed to serve you - but ours disappeared. However the food is really amazing!

Wir waren als Familie mit 4 Personen zum Abendessen vor Ort. Rindswurst + Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut waren sehr lecker. Kinderschitzel und Cordon Bleu waren ebenfalls sehr lecker und wurden bis zum letzten Krümel verputzt. Bedienung war überaus freundlich. Bei dem Besuch hat es uns an nichts gemangelt. Wird nicht das letzte mal gewesen sein das wir dort waren.

The outside of here does not look like much and even inside it is simple decor but oh my, what incredible food. Well worth a visit here as the food is sensational and the service was excellent. I had the ham shank and even thinking about it now makes my mouth salivate. Superb place. Please visit!

Classic Sachsenhausen cider farm. The semolina sauce schnitzel is very tasty and plentiful. Waiters are very on their toes… Bembel and Äppler, heart, what more could you want… lots of tourist groups on the weekend, that's why only 4 stars for ambience… still a recommendation!

Leider nicht mehr "Tradition" sondern eher schickimicki Ich war Anfang der 2000er Jahre dort, damals eine echte Traditionsgaststätte (Äbbelwoi odder Sprudel) inzwischen Touristenbude, am besten Cola und Schnitzel essen, hat mit Sachsenhausennix mehr zu tun, Zeit- und Geldverschendung

If you're looking for a classic German restaurant with extremely good schnitzels, you've come to the right place! The service is funny and the food is top notch. The cider takes some getting used to at the beginning but as the landlord said, after the 2nd glass it's fine ;). The side dishes were also great. Clear recommendation

This was an incredible experience.

In fact, most Chinese people probably don’t like to drink apple cider, but I think the food is still okay. The pork is cooked in various ways, the pork elbow skin is super fragrant, and the desserts are not that good.

We went to this restaurant yesterday after the European Championship international match on the recommendation of a friend. The cider and the food were very good and I can recommend it at any time. The first time we came and tried one joint with potatoes for two with my husband, strudel with apples and cider. It was very tasty and we are satisfied that we tried real German dishes. The next day, they brought our friend and everyone ordered sausages with sauerkraut. It was great.

If you don't get served for 20 minutes, something is wrong. Bad shop! We would have liked to eat and drink, but unfortunately we had to leave thirsty and hungry. Thanks for nothing! 🤟

We came at lunch and lucky get the table, the apple wine is not as yummy as expected but good try, food are good not too salty, staff are nice but will ask for tips but not necessary though.

Great location with flair, but the food is not outstanding and there could be more. The service seemed to consistently overlook us. It lacked a bit of the “good soul” that other cider restaurants offer. Maybe the store is too big for that/doesn't have enough staff. But overall it's OK, especially because it offers an atmospheric atmosphere that helps to disguise that after the third glass of cider...

Mega evening event with the company. Good food and great service

This is one of the best local-specialities restaurants (ger. Kneipe) in Frankfurt am Main. To feel like a local you need to learn how to say hello in hessen‘s dialect - „Gude“, try Apfelwein which normally served in jugs (ger. Bembel) and glass (Geripptes or Apfelweinbecher), order Frankfurter Schnitzel mit GrüneSoße (made from 7 types of local herbs) or dish without meet - Bratkartoffeln mit 4/2 Eiern und GrüneSoße (fried potato + eggs + sauce). The most important thing - you need to try Handkäse mit Music (so put butter on bread and then additionally on top small pieces of cheese and onion) - music will come later. At the end I suggest to drink Mispelchen. Please do not ask for beer. After following all steps you can be called Frankfurter.

Price performance ok had to bridge time near Frankfurt Süd train station. It was quiet in the backyard on the street, it was too loud for us.

Typical traditional products cooked in an excellent way and with quality products. Highly recommended. The only note is their typical apple wine but for me undrinkable. Characteristic and well looked after environment as well as the service. Close to the center, quickly reachable from the center with a pleasant walk.

We were taken here by locals. It lived up to the great expectations of great food, service and vibe. A less rowdy than the big beer halls of Bavaria while having good community feel. Definitely have the jug of apfelwien with the accompanying water. The special pork breaded schnitzel was a big hit for us. The handkase with onions is an acquired taste but I enjoyed it. My wife less so. Don’t go to Frankfurt without going here. A great night. Every table was having fun. Good value too!

Many Germans will eat and chat here during holidays. Ordered a rib The pork ribs turned out to be different than what I expected. It's a huge portion of ribs Plus lots of sauerkraut and mashed potatoes The thickness of this pork rib is about 3-4 times that of a Taiwanese bento restaurant. It’s not coated in any flour, it’s just full of meat. This method will definitely not taste good. But those who like meat will be satisfied The mashed potatoes on the side are delicious The sauerkraut is too sour and there are so many that I can’t finish it all. When everyone comes here, remember to finish the main course before thinking about dessert. Don’t order it all at once, there’s a high chance you won’t be able to finish it all. Then apple juice is not bad

The food was good, the fried potatoes were great, unfortunately not really hot. The service, even though it was very busy, was super fast and attentive. Unfortunately the main course was brought even though the starter had not yet been eaten. You get the feeling that the main course is on the shelf. The service staff should keep an eye on it. The bread with the hand cheese wasn't fresh either, but with enough butter it was ok.

Probably the largest Ebblewei shed here. The seating stretches across several courtyards and rooms and makes this rustic atmosphere even more authentic. The dishes are of course Hessian specialties and fill you up. There's definitely no beer here. Ebblewei with Handkäs is the order of the day.

Apfelwein Wagner is a Frankfurt institution. Nowadays it's heavily touristed and everything has to happen quickly. Unfortunately, this mentality is also reflected in the food. The dishes are already pre-cooked and just need to be warmed up. We had the Wienerschnitzel with fried potatoes and green sauce. Unfortunately, the potatoes didn't taste like anything and the schnitzel was also a bit of a letdown. Only the reasons sauce was very tasty. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't match.

Food is decent (also some good veggie options). The atmosphere is really busy and loud (like a train station) so don’t expect a quiet restaurant. The service is the lowlight as it is downright awful.

We were with a large group of 15 P. there. We all enjoyed the food very much. There is a good selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. But the service is absolutely abusive and rude. I ordered a non-alcoholic cider and the waiter told me that it would only be available if I either had a positive pregnancy test or was over 90 years old. That is not how it works! And in response to my outraged reaction, there was no apology, but the waiter simply left and treated the whole group very condescendingly and harshly. This goes far beyond “simple” cider bar humor. All 15 of us won't be coming back again.

We went here for a birthday! They let me order a cake for them to serve!! Food and Apple wine were delicious! Everyone loved their meal! Gruff German waiters!! Perfect!

We were greeted very unfriendly right from the start. The ambience is like that of a train station hall While eating you could clearly tell that the work here was done in a mass manner. And to top it off, you were forced to leave because other guests were waiting.

I’ve been to this place quite a lot, sometimes with friends sometimes colleagues. But the experience especially the service isn’t always good. Some staffs are a bit unfriendly, though some are really good based on my previous experience. I know there’s a staff who can speak other languages and is always very cheerful and welcoming. But this time the service was terrible. For example, my friend didn’t hear the waiter saying there’s no beer, and asked if we could please get beer. The staff asked can’t you hear me??? And also with finger pointing to his ear, which I found really rude. My friends are nice that he still tipped the waiter. But I think the service was really bad. If you are looking for traditional food and apple wine, but not caring the service at all, then I liked the frankfurter schnitzel there and the drinks. But if you care about the service, I can say some staffs are just not unfriendly

My visit to Apfelwein Wagner was the last. The service was rude and took the orders incorrectly or not at all. The food was just average and not appropriate for the prices. The ambience is ok, but that was the only good thing.

I visited the restaurant and would like to share my experience. The ambience is appealing and the location is central. However, I have experienced some negative aspects that I cannot ignore. The staff was polite to the local guests, but I didn't feel welcome as a foreigner. There were racist comments that made me feel very uncomfortable. Even shortly after I sat down, I was met with rude comments. This shocked me, disappointed me and caused me a lot of emotional stress. The treatment I received was truly inhumane. I had the impression that I was treated differently because of my background. This affected my mood throughout the entire visit. Overall the restaurant is a mixed experience. If the staff could improve their attitude towards foreigners it would certainly be a pleasant place. However, one can definitely say that the restaurant is an inappropriate restaurant for Frankfurt's multicultural environment. They lost me as a customer.

We went to Apfelwein Wagner on a Saturday evening. Since there were only two of us, we couldn't reserve a spot. But we managed to get a seat at the table with other guests without any problems. The service staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Next time we are in Frankfurt we will definitely come back here.

Yesterday I ate the Jägerschnitzel, which was truly the worst schnitzel I've ever eaten. Zero crispy because of the sauce and the fried potatoes were also zero crispy. I don't always have a stomach ache, thanks for that and the service couldn't even apologize and was rude too Dirty shop doesn't work!!!!

Two weeks ago I agreed that I could celebrate my birthday in there, then I was only allowed to stay there until 2 past 12 and then I was kicked out. I wasn't even given 8 glasses to clink and the waiter complained that I "only gave a tip of €60" for a bill of €500, such a disgrace. You learn from mistakes, I hope others learn from them too.

The worst service ever! Avoid this place, unless you want to be treated with complete disregard and disrespect. The behaviour of the waiter was OUTRAGEOUS. We left this place without making an order, as we were ignored by the staff for 20 min (the place was not busy at all at that time). In return the waiter made an EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE comment and looked at us with pure hostility. Given the fact that this place has many 1-star reviews saying that the service is rude, discriminative and honestly speaking racist, that clearly proves the level of culture in this establishment. If you are a foreigner, don’t go there. You will not be welcome. There are plenty of other places that offer the same mediocre and overpriced schnitzels without this kind of unacceptable treatment.

The delicious German pig's feet must be ordered with sauerkraut, which is more flavorful and delicious. The pork chops are also delicious, and the desserts are also delicious and worth trying. Don't forget to order a bottle of apple cider. It's great.

We were there as a group (20 people). All but three people received their food almost at the same time. The remaining dishes came when the others had already eaten and their plates had already been cleared! Questions about the ingredients contained were responded to in a condescending manner. My dish (which came as one of the last three) was ridiculous fried potatoes with a bland pile of what was supposed to be a salad. Completely unacceptable for the price.

Ambient is nice but stuff is not at the level they should be. The waiter didn’t even say thank you and goodbye when we paid.

We were there yesterday with 120 guests (company event). The service was first class, no one had to wait for their food or drinks. How quickly it all happened cannot be described in words! Thanks to the entire team!

This place seems like a local establishment. A German friend recommended I visited and to definitely try the schnitzel with green sauce. They also have really good apple wine to try. The strudel was just alright, in my opinion.

Haben Jägerschnitzel und Gemüsefrikadellen mit Bratkartoffeln bestellt. Leider hat die Soße von dem Jägerschnitzel das gesamte Gericht zunichte gemacht. Eine wässrige, bräunliche Soße mit Champignons aus der Dose waren leider null schmackhaft. Die Stimmung bei meinem Mann war auf dem Tiefpunkt. Schade!

After few positive visits to the restaurant we just had a very unpleasant one. The service was the main issue. The waiter for some reason was providing a bad service. He said there was no fried fries ( and there was because I had it in my main dish), there was no ice cube, used very rude expressions when we asked for anything, he was really delivering a bad experience. That you just feel like leaving before even asking.

We were here with the company and what can I say. The schnitzels were chewy and like they came from a warm-up box. The breading came off, the sauce was more like champions with a hint of sauce and my colleagues' knuckles were dry and nothing special. In addition, the service was very unfriendly and rude. Normal questions were responded to rudely and jokes were made. So we said goodbye to the restaurant promptly.

Rustic ostrich farm style restaurant. The restaurant was very busy and is apparently very popular. We were there with a group of about 20 people. You sit on beer tent benches and are offered hearty, regional cuisine. As the name of the house suggests. There's apple cider. Better not to ask for beer. That's not up for grabs :-) The service is nice, unfortunately a bit bumpy. Certainly recommended for a large sociable group. It wouldn't be my regular place.

A great restaurant for all cider lovers. Super friendly staff. Had reserved in advance for a larger group. Everything was problem-free. And yes there is no beer. Red wine isn't really for wine connoisseurs either. But it doesn't have to.
