AMON Restaurant & Bar in Berlin

A truly fantastic restaurant and probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin. Italian cuisine combined with seasonal and regional ingredients, incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, and a wonderful atmosphere! We had the soup of the day, the parmigiana, the homemade pastas (Norma, Carbonara, the pasta of the day with pistachios and truffles), the risotto of the day, and the tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back. A definite recommendation!

Spending more then 1200eur and more then 10%tip.. We had a great afternoon, which unfortunately ended on a weak note. With a request to close the limoncello or grappa service we were left with nothing. Small because it was after paying the bill. I am in Berlin every 2 weeks and I will not go there again. It's not an Italian style.

We went to this cozy little Italian restaurant on a friend's recommendation. I remember the place from back in the day as Maultaschen. We both had a meat dish, and I was perhaps unlucky with beef cheeks, which were quite fatty for my liking, and a vegetable side dish that was too oily for me. In any case, I couldn't stand them in the end. The service was very attentive and quick, and they explained everything very well. The wines were delicious, as were the desserts. We'll try it again. We'll see how it goes.

Probably the best carbonara I have eaten in Berlin! We were here for the first time. The waiter Filipp offered us more than very good service and was a great companion for us throughout the evening. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

I came in the midst of my cravings and frenzy for finding the best amatriciana pasta in Berlin, but did not find it in this restaurant. The pasta was a bit undercooked, sauce mediocre, served with cheap, low quality brötchen. For the quality it was over priced (18€ 11.2024).

Came by spontaneously and rather by chance. Very tasty food, good service. We'd love to come back.

We ordered pasta norma and spaghetti carbonara. Both were really good. For the dessert we ate the best tiramissu we've ever eaten. Aperol was also good ;)

I went there with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day and it was a lovely experience. Philipp entertained us. He was very friendly and professional. You could tell he was passionate about it. Will definitely come back😄

We stumbled upon this restaurant with no reservation and although the restaurant was full, they welcomed us in for a drink at the bar and found us a table only about 5 mins later! The atmosphere is great, quite light but cosy and sophisticated. The pasta was some of the best pasta I’ve EVER eaten, including in Italy. Highly recommend this restaurant and suggest booking in advance!

Small, cozy restaurant with a simple and welcoming atmosphere. The food is good, but offers no special surprises. However, the prices are a bit high in relation to what is on offer and the simplicity of the place. Also, the service was very slow which detracts from the overall experience.

Ich hatte die Pasta alla Norma- Einfach himmlisch! Ich habe schon viele Pasta alla Norma gegessen, aber diese war mit Abstand die Beste; ein Geschmackserlebnis, das man so schnell nicht vergisst. Auch das Interior ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet – eine perfekte Mischung aus modernem Stil und persönlichem Charme. Und der Service? Großartig! Herzlich, aufmerksam und gleichzeitig professionell – genau die richtige Balance. Ein Restaurant, das nicht nur mit seinem Essen überzeugt, sondern auch mit Atmosphäre, Persönlichkeit und Herzlichkeit. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Abend, Chippo und Team. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

A warm atmosphere on a cold Berlin evening. The employees are very friendly and understanding. I went to the place to eat dessert. They stated that their pistachio tiramisu is famous. It was a very light dessert, the peanuts were delicious. I had espresso with tiramisu. The espresso was quite strong but I was still able to sleep at night. While paying the bill, they stated that coffee was a complimentary meal. It was a kind gesture, even though they didn't know it, it was my birthday and their gesture made me happy.

Top Service, super hausgemachte Pasta und ein Rinderfilet was seines Gleichen sucht.

We stopped here for a lunchtime meal on a walk back from Berlin Cathedral towards Brandenberg Tor. It has a cozy atmosphere and a welcoming host. Sadly I can't eat pasta, but my daughter enjoyed a lovely pasta dish while I enjoyed the amazing green bean soup with pine nuts. It was delicious! The coffee was perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if I was visiting Berlin on another occasion. The host speaks English, German, Italian and Spanish as we ended up conversing in Spanish in the end, which I love to keep me fluent!

We had a New Year's Eve dinner at Amon's (so the price below is higher than normal). Decent service and wine. Otherwise really not good food: too salty, uncooked dishes made from poor quality products. My husband had a liver attack at night (which he never does). We don't understand how this establishment is so highly rated for the quality of its cuisine.

To big portions for 5 course meal .The baccala to salty,risotto was good but to much,The Big gambas was overcooked and dry,and the cake with sabayonne was boring . PS I am chef my self with a lot experiense from Italy.

I had heard so much about this restaurant, and after the recent positive review in TAGESSPIEGEL, I gave it a try. It deserves more than 5 stars, professionalism, modernity and attention to detail, quality of the dishes, in short, it is definitely worth a try. I recommend making a reservation, there are only a few places and you risk not finding a place.

From 2024. Excellent piece of meat. Well cooked and well served. Overpriced place. A glass of red wine €11 and a bottle of water €8. They took a long time to eat lunch. The wait is so long that we have given up desserts and coffees. 2 dishes, water and a glass of wine, €90.

Es gibt nur eine kleine Karte, aber das Essen war sehr gut. Ich habe noch nie so gute Spaghetti Carbonara gegessen. Leider gibt es als stilles Wasser nur Leitungswasser zu einem entsprechenden Preis. Die Entenbrust war auch sehr schmackhaft, aber bei dem Preis könnte es noch eine Salatbeilage geben. Das Tiramisu ist auf "Art des Hauses", leider nicht zu empfehlen. Da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Insgesamt spürt man den Personalmangel und die gestiegenen Kosten wie z. B. für Energie usw.

Lugar muy agradable con buenísima cocina italiana. El personal muy atento y simpático. Tiene una cocina abierta donde ves preparar la comida que después vas a degustar. Volveré sin dudar, muy recomendable

We went there because we mixed it up with another restaurant close by, but it was excellent. I bought "Manzo" it is a steak, we didn't have to wait very long, about 25 minutes, it was a rare steak, it was excellent.

Encontramos este restaurante a través de TripAdvisor y no nos decepcionó. El camarero era maravilloso - amable y tan profesional, nos ayudó a guiar y se dedicó a las bromas. La carbonara fue la mejor que he probado! Me di cuenta de que tenía una gran relación con los clientes - muchos clientes parecían ser habituales y hablaban italiano. ¡Es triste que tuviéramos planes y no pudiéramos disfrutar de más cursos!

This Italian is just so good and probably one of the best in Berlin! Were there for the 4th time and are always thrilled. We had a really nice time and will be back soon.

Excellent freshly cooked Italian cuisine. The usual pasta dishes but well above usual quality. Always an interesting dish of the day(I had beautifully cooked venison fillet.) limited but nice wines by the glass.

With the best will in the world, we cannot understand the good reviews. The waiter was incredibly instructive and unpleasant - salad was initially not offered as a side dish as a matter of principle, and it was only when we asked that we found out that the restaurant doesn't like to store fresh produce. Oh well. The pasta sauces were very good - but the noodles are just bad: not al dente but rock hard - apparently on purpose ("lots of eggs, like very hard boiled" we were told). The ambience is ok. We won't be coming back.

Als Italienliebhaberin und die vielfältige Küche kennend, sind wir vom gastronomischen Konzept leider nicht überzeugt: Pasta ist ultra al-dente und viel zu bissfest - nach vier Gabeln hat man Wackersteine im Bauch. Schade, denn der Geschmack war sehr gut. Die Begründung des Kellners war interessant - sehr viele Eier im Teig, aber die werden auch hart mit der Kochzeit. Mhhhm…. Final ist der Teller nicht besonders genussvoll. Ansonsten ist die Atmosphäre durch eine auffällige Maßregelung wie man richtig isst, anstrengend. Hier fehlt eindeutige das Dolce Vita im Stil und in der Pasta. Die Drinks waren sehr gut.

I ordered the Norma. Considering it was the chef’s favorite pasta, one would think it would have been better prepared. It was oversalted and completely undistinguished, and the pasta on my KLM airline flight and even the chicken tandoori sandwich at the nearby Subway tasted better than this. If this was what the pasta was like, I didn’t want to try the desserts, as reasonably priced as they were. My wife’s Scoglio (seafood pasta) dish was better. At more than 26 euros, it certainly better have been, and it wasn’t exactly brimming with seafood. The appetizer was quite good, but the remark that it was the best dish they made should have been a warning sign. The BRLO naked alcohol-free beer was one of the better ones I tried in Europe and I got a second one. The saving grace was the solicitous service we got from the waiter.

Mit Abstand der beste Italiener der Stadt. Die hausgemachte Pasta und die Parmigiana waren perfekt. Wir hatten Pasta Scoglio und das Risotto mit Trüffel und eine Parmigiana zum teilen. Super Tasty and nice Atmosphere

Delicious Italian cuisine. My brother and I shared a Carponata appetizer and we both had Pasta Amatriciata (sp?). Both were delicious. For dessert we had a citrus (orange) infused panacotta. It was delicate and a great end to our meal.

Yesterday we spontaneously went to Amon at lunchtime, by chance. What luck. The friendliness and the delicious food spontaneously persuaded us to eat there again in the evening. We weren't disappointed but were even more excited about the food. We were surprised to see the same staff still active and not a hint of fatigue. The recommendations were spot-on: “I would like to force you to take this appetizer,” great, we’ll be back, even if it takes a while. Because we don’t live in Berlin. Ciao!

Delicious food and courteous service!

Was walking and looking for a place for dinner and stopped in without reservations. We were told they could accommodate us 20 minutes later so we took a little walk and returned. Everything was delicious including their tiramisu and decaf cappuccino.

Spontaneously went to the restaurant. There are also two children's books. The map is clear. The service is good, people ask several times if everything is okay. The food was good, the bread was nice and crispy. We weren't entirely convinced by the house wine and the dessert. At the end of the evening there was already cleaning and there was a bit of a smell of chlorine. 😬 Toilets are not barrier-free, but this is the case in many restaurants.

The Amon team impressed us with incredibly delicious fresh pasta, a changing menu and exceptionally great service, so that we can now call ourselves regulars. We are not disappointed with every subsequent visit. Many thanks to the entire team! Jana and Max

Great ambience, very good wine, very tasty starters and desserts + main course and great staff.

Warm location, welcoming staff, and what can I say you can find many vegan products. The staff are very kind and specialized in their work😊😊. The strong dishes are certainly the quasi caprese which can only be found in this place, the rigatoni Amatriciana and the Bigoli allo scoglio. A visit to this restaurant is worth it.

Maybe one of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin with authentic Italian food and great service! We ate delicious homemade pasta and can recommend highly the carbonara and the tiramisu.

Wir haben hier einen schönen Abend verbracht. Die Caponata als Vorspeise war hervorragend und auch die Tagesempfehlung war sehr sehr gut. Der sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Service trug ebenfalls zu dem netten Abend bei.

Simply fabulous! The pasta carbonara is the best I have ever had. When you dine here it is like dining in Italy. All ingredients, including the olive oil is of very high quality.

This was the worst restaurant service ever! I asked for "Pesto" (gnocchi with pesto sauce) from the menu, but I realised that I was given some Conchiglie (small shell pasta) with pesto sauce. So, I called the waiter and told her that they were not gnocchi, waiting for an explanation. To my total surprise, she told me: "In Italy those are gnocchi, in every part of Italy". I politely replied that those were Conchiglie, not gnocchi, explaining to her that gnocchi were made of potatoes, sometimes with spinach or pumpkin, but she insisted, although they were unmistakably pasta, Conchiglie... I was quite surprised that a waiter should give such an absurdly wrong answer, without knowing anything about the Italian basic culinary pasta or Italian food in general. She could have asked the chef if there had been a problem with the gnocchi and that they had to substitute them by Conchiglie. But no! "All over Italy, those are gnocchi!", she said. My assertive reply was absolutely confident, of course, I know what gnocchi and Conchiglie are! I'm afraid this terrible stubborn waiter doesn't...

Amon doesn't look like much, but it is A LOT‼️ We have never had such delicious, authentic, homemade Italian food, not even in Italy. The owner and the other staff were very nice and welcoming, a very homely atmosphere. We will definitely come back 🤩

In Berlin with a friend and we fancied Italian food for dinner. Found this place and it was handily-located for our hotel. We both ordered the same dish, the spaghetti carbonara. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Delicious; thick, creamy and bursting with flavour. Great, friendly service as well. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant is just close to Westin and I gave it a try for my first night in Berlin. Lovely decor with super service. The painting on the wall is interesting. Pity that the today’s special main dish- lamb with the various veggie, the lamb is a bit dry and overcooked. Miss the balance of the tenderness and juiciness.
