I ordered the Norma. Considering it was the chef’s favorite pasta, one would think it would have been better prepared. It was oversalted and completely undistinguished, and the pasta on my KLM airline flight and even the chicken tandoori sandwich at the nearby Subway tasted better than this. If this was what the pasta was like, I didn’t want to try the desserts, as reasonably priced as they were. My wife’s Scoglio (seafood pasta) dish was better. At more than 26 euros, it certainly better have been, and it wasn’t exactly brimming with seafood. The appetizer was quite good, but the remark that it was the best dish they made should have been a warning sign. The BRLO naked alcohol-free beer was one of the better ones I tried in Europe and I got a second one. The saving grace was the solicitous service we got from the waiter.

Really great restaurant and probably one of the best Italians in Berlin. Italian cuisine combined with seasonal and regional ingredients, an incredibly nice and warm staff and a great ambience! We had the soup of the day, the parmigiana, the homemade pastas (norma, carbonara, the pasta of the day with pistachios and truffles), the risotto of the day and, for dessert, the tiramonsu. Everything was super tasty and freshly prepared. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely come back. A very clear recommendation!!

Delicious Italian cuisine. My brother and I shared a Carponata appetizer and we both had Pasta Amatriciata (sp?). Both were delicious. For dessert we had a citrus (orange) infused panacotta. It was delicate and a great end to our meal.

Yesterday we spontaneously went to Amon at lunchtime, by chance. What luck. The friendliness and the delicious food spontaneously persuaded us to eat there again in the evening. We weren't disappointed but were even more excited about the food. We were surprised to see the same staff still active and not a hint of fatigue. The recommendations were spot-on: “I would like to force you to take this appetizer,” great, we’ll be back, even if it takes a while. Because we don’t live in Berlin. Ciao!

Was walking and looking for a place for dinner and stopped in without reservations. We were told they could accommodate us 20 minutes later so we took a little walk and returned. Everything was delicious including their tiramisu and decaf cappuccino.

Spontaneously went to the restaurant. There are also two children's books. The map is clear. The service is good, people ask several times if everything is okay. The food was good, the bread was nice and crispy. We weren't entirely convinced by the house wine and the dessert. At the end of the evening there was already cleaning and there was a bit of a smell of chlorine. 😬 Toilets are not barrier-free, but this is the case in many restaurants.

Warm location, welcoming staff, and what can I say you can find many vegan products. The staff are very kind and specialized in their work😊😊. The strong dishes are certainly the quasi caprese which can only be found in this place, the rigatoni Amatriciana and the Bigoli allo scoglio. A visit to this restaurant is worth it.

Maybe one of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin with authentic Italian food and great service! We ate delicious homemade pasta and can recommend highly the carbonara and the tiramisu.

Simply fabulous! The pasta carbonara is the best I have ever had. When you dine here it is like dining in Italy. All ingredients, including the olive oil is of very high quality.

This was the worst restaurant service ever! I asked for "Pesto" (gnocchi with pesto sauce) from the menu, but I realised that I was given some Conchiglie (small shell pasta) with pesto sauce. So, I called the waiter and told her that they were not gnocchi, waiting for an explanation. To my total surprise, she told me: "In Italy those are gnocchi, in every part of Italy". I politely replied that those were Conchiglie, not gnocchi, explaining to her that gnocchi were made of potatoes, sometimes with spinach or pumpkin, but she insisted, although they were unmistakably pasta, Conchiglie... I was quite surprised that a waiter should give such an absurdly wrong answer, without knowing anything about the Italian basic culinary pasta or Italian food in general. She could have asked the chef if there had been a problem with the gnocchi and that they had to substitute them by Conchiglie. But no! "All over Italy, those are gnocchi!", she said. My assertive reply was absolutely confident, of course, I know what gnocchi and Conchiglie are! I'm afraid this terrible stubborn waiter doesn't...

Amon doesn't look like much, but it is A LOT‼️ We have never had such delicious, authentic, homemade Italian food, not even in Italy. The owner and the other staff were very nice and welcoming, a very homely atmosphere. We will definitely come back 🤩

In Berlin with a friend and we fancied Italian food for dinner. Found this place and it was handily-located for our hotel. We both ordered the same dish, the spaghetti carbonara. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Delicious; thick, creamy and bursting with flavour. Great, friendly service as well. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant is just close to Westin and I gave it a try for my first night in Berlin. Lovely decor with super service. The painting on the wall is interesting. Pity that the today’s special main dish- lamb with the various veggie, the lamb is a bit dry and overcooked. Miss the balance of the tenderness and juiciness.

I had heard so much about this restaurant, and after the recent positive review in TAGESSPIEGEL, I gave it a try. It deserves more than 5 stars, professionalism, modernity and attention to detail, quality of the dishes, in short, it is definitely worth a try. I recommend making a reservation, there are only a few places and you risk not finding a place.

Just ok. Not very friendly. Very opinionated and in the end not very good quality. Pasta was undercooked. Yes. We know about al dente. But if the rigatoni are still raw in the middle it’s not al dente. The sauce was to saulty even without the guancale and in total 80€ for 2 pasta dishes, a starter and 3 Alkohol free drinks is not acceptable. Would not go back or recommend.

Italians without compromise, if you know the real Italian cuisine is the place for you. otherwise there are many Italians who wink at the German

We ate at Amon last Friday and I can only warmly recommend it. As vegetarians, we ate the Pasta Norma, which I would actually put in my top 3 pastas I've ever eaten (I even include the visits to Italy). As a starter there was a cream soup of the day and as dessert an extremely delicious tiramisu. Our waiter made it a real “happening”. Very, personable, professional and wonderfully Italian. I was considering giving 4/5 stars for the ambience for the following reason. The restaurant itself is a 5/5 in terms of mood and ambience. The area/district in which the restaurant is located certainly has its advantages, but for my taste it lacks a bit of a “neighborhood feeling” However, you would certainly never get a table at Amon if it were in Kreuzberg on the canal, for example. In that sense, it's probably exactly right where it is. 5/5. We'll definitely be back, Grazie mille.

Food, service and ambience are simply great. We had the Caponata and Quasi Caprese as starters; the Pasta Norma and the beef fillet Manzo as the main course. All dishes were very tasty and of the highest quality.

Excellent food!! The service was also excellent. Also a very stylish restaurant with a great interior. We sat as a group in the back booth and basically had our own area. We will definitely book for other events too. That means: we will definitely come back!!!

A wonderful culinary experience! The “Amon” restaurant is definitely a culinary highlight in our city. From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious dishes served here, this place simply blew us away. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the menu offered a wide selection of traditional Italian dishes. We chose the homemade pasta and were not disappointed - the pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauces were simply delicious. Just awesome! The wine selection also left nothing to be desired and rounded off our taste experience. All in all, our visit to the “Amon” restaurant was a real highlight and we can only warmly recommend it. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

This is probably the best Amatriciana in Berlin. There is no more to be said.

On the recommendation of the Lupo restaurant in Hamburg, we booked a table for a business dinner at AMON in Berlin. Attention: If you come with fewer people than reserved, you have to pay €60(!) per missed person. We paid €180 more because our business partners spontaneously didn't come to dinner on Thursday evening. The reservation is made without a credit card, so the booking process does not indicate this. Unfortunately, the service was neither courteous nor friendly from the first minute in a half-empty restaurant on Thursday. We waited an hour for our starters, and the main course also took a long time as there was no flexibility when ordering the food (side dishes could not be swapped, there was only one beef fillet left, so one person had to switch). Since one person didn't eat caviar, the monkfish came without sauce and was served with leaf salad with dressing. Overall, the quality of the food was good, but unfortunately the rest overshadowed everything else. Unfortunately not worth repeating, even if we work nearby.

I'm still looking for the perfect carbonara. Anyone who has read other reviews knows that in Germany, Italians feed with cream sauce and boiled ham and call it carbonara without any qualms. There is a separate place in hell for them 😆 But not here… 😉 While in the area, I looked for some pasta, because gluten deficiencies need to be replenished regularly and with style. That's how we ended up in Amon. We were the first guests of the day, there were reservation cards on many tables, but we didn't have any, so we got the smallest table at the end of the row. In total, we were served by three or four (?) waiters. One sat us down, another took the order, another brought beer and food, and yet another asked if we liked it. Luxury these days, more staff than guests 😂 although I suspect they had a full room shortly after we left. Let's get to the food. Carbonara. Perfect ingredients, no cream or other miracles. The portion was quite small for my needs, but what's worse is that I wasn't as impressed as I expected. The pasta quickly absorbed the moisture from the sauce and without the beer it wouldn't go in. There was no creamy cheese twist, I don't know what, a drop of lemon? I read the reviews and had high expectations. Was good. But no fireworks. My partner ordered pasta with eggplant and tomato sauce and it tasted average. It was… very tomatoey 😅 However, the Moretti beer was ice cold and therefore even better than the regular one! The appetizers are tiny rolls with a splash of olive oil, which, with the addition of salt, tasted amazing. The toilets are spotlessly clean and look like they were recently renovated. Unfortunately, to get there you have to go underground, I got a bit lost on my way back... 😅 To sum up, it's a nice place, although the street right next to the door is dug up. Very polite and attentive service. One star less because I'm dissatisfied, I feel like I could have jumped out of my slippers, but I didn't. Maybe one day I will come back and we will improve this situation 😊

The restaurant was near our hotel in Berlin and we decided to try it. It was as if we were eating in Italy. The food was excellent and our waiter was attentive, pleasant and made some good recommendations. We both shared an appetizer and each had a pasta dish (carbonara and pasta Norma). Both were delicious. Wish we found it earlier in our Berlin stay, as we would have gone again.

We went for dinner and we had a great experience, we enjoyed both the starters as well as the main courses. The staff were very nice and explained the dishes and wines in a professional manner. The caponata and the parmigiana were especially good, my husband was very satisfied with his carbonara. All cheese and eggs dishes are pasteurised so safe in case of pregnancy 😊

Incredibly delicious pasta. Freshly made, al dente, perfect sauce with it. There were 5 of us and we had 3 different dishes. All were as pasta should be!

Easily one of the better Carbonaras I've tasted! Unfortunately, the Guanciale (pork jowl/cheeck) used was cut in rather thin slices which meant that the frying process made it rather crispy. This had the adverse effect -- at least for my portion -- that the meat didn't mix well with the pasta and the cheese-egg sauce as it didn't cling to either. Meaning, despite the amount of meat served, you could easily end up with lots of forks without Guanciale or it dropping from the fork and then left over meat without pasta at the end. What made matters worse is that usually the oil that leaves the pork when fried, serves as an emulsifier and taste transport as the pasta sits in it and cools down slightly before adding the cheese-egg mixture. The result would be that even if you had some pasta without Guanciale, the taste would still be there! Since this pork seemed to be rather low-fat, this effect did not occur on my dish. All in all though the Carbonara was still way above average of what you're served and worth a recommendation!

I haven't been there yet, but I read in the menu that a 0.2 l open house wine costs €8.50 or €9.00. This is indecent. At Sarden on Bißmarkstr. In Charlottenburg, half a liter of Vermentino costs €11.00 and tastes very good.

Nice and casual environment, not the usual Italian one. I ordered a starter (Quasi Caprese) and a Secondo (Beef), the starter fresh and tasty, the meat cooked perfectly and a modern and fresh atmosphere. If you're in the area it's worth coming to eat here. Prices are normal considering the quality of the dishes. Professional and friendly service. See you soon for sure.

Their truffle risotto was to die for, so was carbonara. We didn’t have booking but they still made table for us. Beautiful place and beautiful service

Delicious food! Great ambience and friendly staff. We ordered pasta and it was very tasty. Tiramisu for dessert: that was a hit: delicious! We also talked to the owner and he is a Boca Juniors fan. It just doesn't get any better. I can only recommend it and the restaurant is not expensive.

We weren't in the restaurant, we just saw a sign outside that said they didn't serve Hawaiian pizza! Lionfields would be proud of you!!!!!!!
