AMON Restaurant & Bar in Berlin

Terrible staff and service, very condescending, rude. They didn't even bring utensils for the child. The level of the kitchen is average. I strongly do not recommend it.

Amazing italian food in the heart of downtown Berlin! Meat and cheese platter to start; Carbonara and pasta Americana as our main dishes followed with Tiramasu for dessert and everything was delicious! Only small issue was the service as the server didn't stop back at our table for a really long time after taking our empty plates even though our drinks were empty and we were waiting to order dessert. Overall, would absolutely recommend!!!

Had a great meal and wonderful service. The caponata is to die for!

The food was good, but portion is rather small, and pasta was over salted. It is not okay to bring 1 litre of tap water and charge €8 for that not saying about it in advance. That’s insane.

In addition to being a very welcoming place, the service is excellent, as is the food. Highly recommended. Please note that the kitchen closes at 10:00 PM.

They accommodated us despite no reservation but that was the extent of it… they cannot accommodate any changes / requests on their menu even if you have dietary restrictions. We left without trying anything. Do not recommend

We were looking for a traditional Italian restaurant and VOILA. Amazing twisted salad with Burrata, the carbonara was one of the best I’ve had and the beef was very good. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Very recommended

The food is solid in terms of taste, with portion sizes more in line with Michelin-starred cuisine. The value for money is clearly demonstrated by the self-filled bottled water for €8.

Absolutely fantastic - the food, the staff (thank you, Filip!) and the atmosphere were outstanding. A very memorable experience.

Serviceminded staff that seemed to really like their job and show their enthusiasm and knowledge. Recommended a specific sharable starter which was amazingly good (Caponata). Wine was good and the meat/steak for main course was really tender. Only thing that would make it even better would be some more garnish and/or sauce.

Good place to eat, well located, with good service and very good food, it was a weekday and we didn't have to make a reservation, we were six friends. Without a doubt recommended. Thank you so much.

Visited Amon three nights in a row and had a Japanese colleague take his customers from Osaka as well. The food is amazing! Their take on all of their menu was over the top!!! Every dish ordered by my large groups was super. Highlights were caprese, truffle pasta, melanzane Parmesan and the wines. Great service and team! Make a reservation and enjoy the restaurant. This place is an absolute winner.

A little gem of a place. Food was absolutely delicious and the wine was just as good. Our server Phillip was very helpful when choosing wine to go with our meal and was very attentive. The atmosphere is very chilled, nothing is a problem to the lads serving. We will definitely be back.

We had lunch at this place with our little child and had a great time! We tasted the "almost caprese": simply exceptional, a dish that combines taste and creativity. The staff were really friendly and attentive, even with the baby, which we really appreciated. The cuisine offers authentic flavours, the true ones of the Italian tradition. An experience to repeat. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing. We asked for a wine recommendation, and instead of just giving us a name, asked what meals we planned to eat and what we liked/disliked in a wine. He paired us perfectly (and we went online to a shop to order a few cases to be shipped to our house). We ordered the special appetizer for the day, which was a roast beef with red pickled onion and potato salad. Delicious. For mains, I had the Manzo (beef fillet with potato pancake and a rosemary oil). O.M.G. Partner had the Carbonara: homemade noodles which were a perfect texture. Desserts, espresso. All in all, it was a perfect evening and we couldn’t be happier.

Super delicious food, all homemade, and generous portions. Prices are fair for such high quality. The stracciatella tiramisu, in particular, is always a highlight at the end.

Spending more then 1200eur and more then 10%tip.. We had a great afternoon, which unfortunately ended on a weak note. With a request to close the limoncello or grappa service we were left with nothing. Small because it was after paying the bill. I am in Berlin every 2 weeks and I will not go there again. It's not an Italian style.

A truly fantastic restaurant and probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin. Italian cuisine combined with seasonal and regional ingredients, incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, and a wonderful atmosphere! We had the soup of the day, the parmigiana, the homemade pastas (Norma, Carbonara, the pasta of the day with pistachios and truffles), the risotto of the day, and the tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back. A definite recommendation!

We went to this cozy little Italian restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. I know the place from way back when it was called Maultaschen. We both had a meat dish and I was perhaps unlucky with beef cheeks which were quite fatty for my standards and a vegetable side dish which was too oily for me. In any case, in the end I couldn't tolerate it. The service was very attentive and quickly explained everything very well. The wines were delicious, as were the desserts. We'll try it again a second time. Let's see how it turns out then.

Probably the best carbonara I have eaten in Berlin! We were here for the first time. The waiter Filipp offered us more than very good service and was a great companion for us throughout the evening. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

I came in the midst of my cravings and frenzy for finding the best amatriciana pasta in Berlin, but did not find it in this restaurant. The pasta was a bit undercooked, sauce mediocre, served with cheap, low quality brötchen. For the quality it was over priced (18€ 11.2024).

Came by spontaneously and rather by chance. Very tasty food, good service. We'd love to come back.

Nos topamos con este restaurante sin reserva y aunque el restaurante estaba lleno, nos dieron la bienvenida para tomar una copa en el bar y nos encontraron una mesa solo unos 5 minutos después! El ambiente es genial, bastante ligero pero acogedor y sofisticado. La pasta fue una de las mejores pastas que he comido, incluso en Italia. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante y sugerir reservar con antelación!

Ich hatte die Pasta alla Norma- Einfach himmlisch! Ich habe schon viele Pasta alla Norma gegessen, aber diese war mit Abstand die Beste; ein Geschmackserlebnis, das man so schnell nicht vergisst. Auch das Interior ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet – eine perfekte Mischung aus modernem Stil und persönlichem Charme. Und der Service? Großartig! Herzlich, aufmerksam und gleichzeitig professionell – genau die richtige Balance. Ein Restaurant, das nicht nur mit seinem Essen überzeugt, sondern auch mit Atmosphäre, Persönlichkeit und Herzlichkeit. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Abend, Chippo und Team. A warm atmosphere on a cold Berlin evening. The employees are very friendly and understanding. I went to the place to eat dessert. They stated that their pistachio tiramisu is famous. It was a very light dessert, the peanuts were delicious. I had espresso with tiramisu. The espresso was quite strong but I was still able to sleep at night. While paying the bill, they stated that coffee was a complimentary meal. It was a kind gesture, even though they didn't know it, it was my birthday and their gesture made me happy.

We stopped here for a lunchtime meal on a walk back from Berlin Cathedral towards Brandenberg Tor. It has a cozy atmosphere and a welcoming host. Sadly I can't eat pasta, but my daughter enjoyed a lovely pasta dish while I enjoyed the amazing green bean soup with pine nuts. It was delicious! The coffee was perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if I was visiting Berlin on another occasion. The host speaks English, German, Italian and Spanish as we ended up conversing in Spanish in the end, which I love to keep me fluent!

We had a New Year's Eve dinner at Amon's (so the price below is higher than normal). Decent service and wine. Otherwise really not good food: too salty, uncooked dishes made from poor quality products. My husband had a liver attack at night (which he never does). We don't understand how this establishment is so highly rated for the quality of its cuisine.

To big portions for 5 course meal .The baccala to salty,risotto was good but to much,The Big gambas was overcooked and dry,and the cake with sabayonne was boring . PS I am chef my self with a lot experiense from Italy.

I had heard so much about this restaurant, and after the recent positive review in TAGESSPIEGEL, I gave it a try. It deserves more than 5 stars, professionalism, modernity and attention to detail, quality of the dishes, in short, it is definitely worth a try. I recommend making a reservation, there are only a few places and you risk not finding a place.

From 2024. Excellent piece of meat. Well cooked and well served. Overpriced place. A glass of red wine €11 and a bottle of water €8. They took a long time to eat lunch. The wait is so long that we have given up desserts and coffees. 2 dishes, water and a glass of wine, €90.

Es gibt nur eine kleine Karte, aber das Essen war sehr gut. Ich habe noch nie so gute Spaghetti Carbonara gegessen. Leider gibt es als stilles Wasser nur Leitungswasser zu einem entsprechenden Preis. Die Entenbrust war auch sehr schmackhaft, aber bei dem Preis könnte es noch eine Salatbeilage geben. Das Tiramisu ist auf "Art des Hauses", leider nicht zu empfehlen. Da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Insgesamt spürt man den Personalmangel und die gestiegenen Kosten wie z. B. für Energie usw.

Lugar muy agradable con buenísima cocina italiana. El personal muy atento y simpático. Tiene una cocina abierta donde ves preparar la comida que después vas a degustar. Volveré sin dudar, muy recomendable

We went there because we mixed it up with another restaurant close by, but it was excellent. I bought "Manzo" it is a steak, we didn't have to wait very long, about 25 minutes, it was a rare steak, it was excellent.

Encontramos este restaurante a través de TripAdvisor y no nos decepcionó. El camarero era maravilloso - amable y tan profesional, nos ayudó a guiar y se dedicó a las bromas. La carbonara fue la mejor que he probado! Me di cuenta de que tenía una gran relación con los clientes - muchos clientes parecían ser habituales y hablaban italiano. ¡Es triste que tuviéramos planes y no pudiéramos disfrutar de más cursos!

Excellent freshly cooked Italian cuisine. The usual pasta dishes but well above usual quality. Always an interesting dish of the day(I had beautifully cooked venison fillet.) limited but nice wines by the glass.
