Delicious and authentic food! Highly recommended! Very friendly staff too!

I stumbled upon this place by chance, and the name might not be so minimalist after all. I went in, and even though they were having a big event, they gave me a table. I'm Colombian and visited Peru a few years ago, and the food reminded me of the excellent cuisine there. I ordered a Peruvian ceviche, and everything was delicious—the texture, the flavor, the presentation. The price is fair for the quality and taste! Very good service and attention. The restaurant has a calm and comfortable atmosphere. They also have pisco cocktails, which are delicious! Best of luck to the restaurant!

Best restaurant experience in a long time!

I've been here several times. The waiters are very friendly and the food is delicious. It's a bit pricey, but the portions reflect the price. I recommend the ceviche and lomo saltado :)

A well-maintained restaurant with delicious, authentic dishes that reflect the diversity of Peruvian cuisine. Prices are slightly above average, but justified by the quality. A highlight is the exceptionally warm and welcoming staff!

It's a lovely place to eat as a couple or in a group. The service is very friendly and the food arrived surprisingly quickly (under 15 minutes for two people). Highly recommended.

The only criticism is that there was a lack of sauce. Otherwise, everything was great.

Amazing food, excellent service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. This is the first place I’ve found outside Peru that serves truly authentic food from the selva (peruvian rainforest). The homemade cecina and chorizo were outstanding, and the juane was exactly how you’d find it in the selva, wrapped in hojas de bijao. The service was kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. You can really feel the care they put into both the food and the overall experience. We were only in Berlin for the weekend, but we were so glad we discovered this restaurant. We will definitely come back every time we’re in Berlin.

This restaurant belongs on every Berlin top list. I've tried quite a few Peruvian restaurants, but this one is a real standout. The dishes were exceptional and incredibly good. The jungle cuisine, in particular, is unique, and the dish, Juane de Pollo de Maiz, was unbelievably delicious. The braised duck from the Christmas menu was also excellent, as was the ceviche. On top of that, the restaurant boasts beautiful decor and very personal and friendly service. Everything just fits together perfectly—absolutely fantastic!

We were there as a family on Friday, December 5th, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, excellent quality, the atmosphere was lovely, the interior was beautiful, and the chairs were incredibly comfortable! The service was superb. We were all thrilled and will be back soon!

Nice food but a little expensive

First off, this restaurant is highly recommended. It's not exactly cheap, but the food is outstanding, especially the ceviche. The service is enthusiastic and offers great recommendations. Anything is possible. The four of us had the large appetizer platter. Everything arrived in four small, individual portions... extremely well-prepared and thoughtfully presented! Everyone had a different main course, and all were equally delicious. So, we'll definitely be back and will recommend you to others. My wife was thrilled that she could speak Spanish and actually get a response! P.S.: The Peruvian wines aren't bad either! Definitely worth trying!

Delicious, authentic food and cocktails. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The children also enjoyed their meals. The location is fantastic, and you can usually get a table even without a reservation. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Overall, no major disappointment, but I think there's room for improvement: The food (the ceviche was good but not exceptional), the service, which lacked a bit of friendliness, and the ambiance, with the table layout not being ideal. Nevertheless, the welcome was perfect, and I would return if the prices had been more reasonable.

The Anaconda Hut is more like the Snake House. The service is good, but far from authentic Peruvian, and it lacks Latin flavor (the chili is good). The quality and price are not right.

After eating at the best restaurant in Pucallpa, I'll repeat the experience in Berlin. The best chicha morada I've ever had, a delicious chicken causa, a scrumptious ceviche, and an incredible lucuma mousse. The service was incredible, and the lady who served was very kind and attentive.

Adding my cheers to the crowd. We stumbled across this wonderful restaurant yesterday afternoon and were warmly welcomed by the chef himself, having dinner with his family. We had the artichoke appetizer (incredibly delicious, but heavily garlicky, just fyi) and the small fish ceviche (fantastic) as well as the chicken from the jungle (not as incredible as the other two, but new and fascinating to me). Highly recommended.

One of the best Ceviches I've ever had. !!! I travel all around the world for work. The atmosphere al La Choza is really amazing, all the way from the music to the impeccable service and the delicious food makes a great culinary peruvian experience in Berlin, and let's not forget the pisco sour Juana was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Quite expensive, and the portions are quite small. Unfortunately, I can't judge how authentic it is.

I ordered a causa cevichada (a type of ceviche). The menu, as shown in the attached photo, indicates that it comes with fried fish. The causa had no filling, just potato dough. I approached two employees and they asked if they would bring me what was missing. I waited 1.5 hours, and they never offered me a solution. I can understand they had an event, but they charged 26 euros for such unprofessional service and ignored me without offering any solution. § 263 StGB – Betrug. It's really a shame. I was hoping for a pleasant time, but all I got was stress.

I was disappointed. Not by the food, but by the service. A discount was promised beforehand, but it wasn't delivered. I don't like that kind of thing at all. I won't eat there again.

Everything was fantastic, the food, the hospitality, the atmosphere.

We were absolutely thrilled! Both the qori juice and the chicha morada were a taste sensation – fresh, perfectly balanced, and simply exceptional. The corn-fed chicken was tender, juicy, and wonderfully aromatic, accompanied by finely balanced side dishes. The "arroz con mariscos" was a poem – rich in fresh seafood, perfectly seasoned, and harmoniously balanced. The service and atmosphere rounded out the experience – attentive, friendly, and authentic. A culinary excursion to Peru that we highly recommend!

I traveled from Sweden and visited several Latin restaurants in Germany, but none compare to La Choza de la Anaconda. A hidden gem! The food is a 10/10, flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented. The service is impeccable, with warm and professional attention from the moment you walk in until you leave. The prices are fair and the quality is extremely high. Highly recommended, I will definitely return. Thank you for such a great experience!

I was very disappointed with the Lomo Saltado. I've been to Peru, to other Peruvian restaurants, and to many Peruvian festivals, and it was tastier everywhere. The meat was very blandly fried, served with potato wedges (a no-go with Lomo Saltado, according to a good friend from Peru) and thin, flavorless rice. The Pisco Sour was good, but the overall impression wasn't good, and it was far too expensive (almost €110 for two people). The free shot of liquor at the end is nice, but they should cook the way Peruvians cook for their families and friends.

We had a truly lovely evening on the restaurant's outdoor terrace. The ceviche was one of the best I've ever eaten—the flavors were perfectly balanced. We visited the restaurant once before in October 2024 and were thrilled with the food and service, so we visited again in June, unfortunately with some criticisms of the service, drinks, and food. Regarding the drink, my wife ordered a homemade lemonade (€6), but she got almost half a glass filled with ice and lime and a little lemonade. The lemonade tasted good, but the contents didn't reflect the price. The food wasn't cooked and presented with as much love and attention as last year. The appetizers in particular didn't represent the value for money, even though they were tasty. For this price, the plates could and should be presented a little more attractively; eating is a feast for the eyes. Furthermore, the chicharones had more fat than meat. The main course, fettuccine and ceviche, were very tasty; there was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, I have to say that the service was very poor this time. The restaurant had just opened and it wasn't busy yet, but after sitting down we still had to wait for the menus. After eating our empty plates sat with us for a long time and weren't cleared away. After that we weren't really looked after either, and when I wanted to pay by card, the card reader was simply placed on the table and I was then left to pay myself. I've never experienced anything like that before. I paid after having to see how the card worked. After waiting a few minutes because no one came, we got up, handed the card reader over to the waiter and said our goodbyes. For a restaurant in this price category (we paid €87 for this evening), we expect significantly better service. We often felt lost and not really being served, as if we were more of a burden than guests who wanted to have a pleasant evening. We wish you continued success with the restaurant and would be pleased if you would accept this review and work on the points of criticism.

A true piece of Peru in the heart of Berlin! We had the appetizer platter for two – perfect for immersing ourselves in Peruvian cuisine. It takes you from the coast to the Andes to the jungle, lovingly explained and perfectly matched. At 30°C, it was just right: light, fresh, and aromatic. With a ceviche and a glass of chicha morada – you probably won't get any closer to Peru in Berlin. The spiciness is adjusted to your liking, and the service is at the level of a top-class restaurant: attentive, warm, and competent. The location on a quiet side street is relaxed, with plenty of parking and comfortable tables facing the street. There's also a terrace in the courtyard, and the ambiance inside is stylish and upscale. We'll definitely be back!

Neat environment and professional service. As for the food I can't say the same as I was definitely disappointed.

The dishes are good but the portions are too small for the prices. Despite the good service I would not go back. There are other Peruvian restaurants that are just as good and cost 20% less.

The service was very friendly and attentive, and you immediately felt at home. Add to that the stylish and cozy interior – an all-around fantastic experience. I highly recommend it!

Stopped by for dinner with my partner. A good restaurant in a posh area. Above averagely priced. Prices for a main dish start at approx. 30 euros. Good value for money. We had one appetiser and one main dish each and were 80% full afterwards. Sadly, I am allergic to pork, so I could not try half of their menu. (Our server - a lovely lady - barely spoke any English, so I did not ask if it was possible to leave out the pork and/or swap it with something else. I also did not ask because I did not want to offend the chef.) The dishes I could try were very tasty. I had the Cerviche and Parihuela. Both were very flavourful. We ordered 4 different dishes in total and each dish was beautifully plated. (*The following is not a reflection on their food and service* I used their bathroom twice and both times the toilet seat was wet. In addition, the handsoap dispenser did not work well. The second time, they had run out of handsoap.)

We tried Peruvian food for the first time. Whether it was ceviche or chorizo, it was delicious. Prices were reasonable. The cocktails were very tasty. The service was a bit inattentive, but friendly. We'll be back.

On May 24, 2025, two of us went out to eat. For around 90 euros, we had an appetizer platter, two drinks, an appetizer, and a main course. The appetizer platter, which was labeled as a two-person platter, was too small for us. Particularly disappointing was the anticucho, a Peruvian national dish, of which only two small pieces were served. For the price of approximately 37.90 euros, we felt the quantity-price ratio was inadequate. My wife's main course, a rice dish, was mushy and noticeably oversalted. The seafood in it was adequate, but the strong salty taste made the dish inedible. My main course was chicken with mashed potatoes in a sauce reminiscent of hollandaise with mustard. The dish was served cold, which was not advertised. The mashed potatoes were okay. During the meal, I told the waiter that the anticucho wasn't good; it was tough, and I've had better. There was no response to my feedback. I also said I didn't like the rice dish, but received no response. At the end, the waiter offered us a shot of liquor, which we declined because we don't drink alcohol. Instead, we were offered dessert, which we also declined because it looked unappealing. Overall, the dessert seemed more like an attempt to compensate for the negative impression, which wasn't an appropriate solution for us. The service was friendly, but at times inattentive. Overall, the food didn't meet our expectations, especially considering the price. We've visited many Peruvian restaurants, and this was unfortunately our most disappointing experience. Addendum May 27, 2025: I would like to thank the owner for the detailed and respectful feedback. It shows that criticism is taken seriously. Nevertheless, my impression of the visit remains unchanged, and I hope that other guests have a better experience in the future.

I recently had the privilege of visiting La Choza de la Anaconda in Berlin, and I can highly recommend this gem! From the moment I first saw it, I knew it was going to be something special, and I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was a treat for the taste buds, packed with authentic flavours and beautifully presented. It is clear that the kitchen places great emphasis on both the ingredients and the preparation. But what really made La Choza de la Anaconda stand out was the service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive and genuinely concerned that our experience would be perfect. From the moment we walked in the door until we left the restaurant, we felt incredibly well looked after. Their dedication and professionalism contributed immensely to an unforgettable evening. If you are looking for a restaurant in Berlin that delivers outstanding food combined with world-class service, then La Choza de la Anaconda is a must.

I ate Juane – a typical dish from the Peruvian rainforest – and loved it! As a Peruvian, I can say: the taste was authentic, just like in Peru. The Arroz Chaufa Amazónico was also delicious. Highly recommended. 😋😋
