Mezze by MontRaw in Berlin

We were there on February 14th. Almost all the dishes were disgusting 🤢, but the prices were very high. I have no idea why the place is so popular… Our celebration was ruined…

Delicious, Original, Delicate .. and so elegant! They are uniue! They are pasionate artists … tehy create and paints masterpieces!! P.S. the desserts… magical essences! … and at the end: hot cups for our coffee!!! Well done!! Thank you!!

Thank you very much, dear Mezze Bar team, for saving us the evening after our (very late) visit to the theater with the utmost flexibility and dedication! The food and wine were excellent, the service courteous and warm - which is quite unusual for Berlin. An all-round perfect experience, we'll be back! All the best until then!

Amazing place with interesting food combinations and very chill staff. We had the chef's menu with perfectly mixed negroni: The ingredients combinations are just perfect and it is really a lot to eat want to eat (even if the dishes are small).

Just WOW. So creative AND delicious. Highly recommend! We had 2 dishes to share, and each also chose a solo dish- the artichoke/spinach/labne and wild broccoli, then the Meatball Challah and Potato Pave with Smoked salmon. Finished with coconut Malabi. The sauces and spices were so good we had to get warm bread out of the oven to soak up every bit of the flavors. Charming service, pleasant patio- happiness!

I visited this restaurant for the first time two years ago and was amazed by the service, food and ambience. The taste impressions back then were simply magical. Unfortunately, my impression has changed during my visit this year in 2024. I found the food to be rather bland, and the meat had an unusual aftertaste for my taste, which could possibly indicate a lack of freshness. Unfortunately the quality was not up to the standard I expected. Of course taste is subjective, but it's a shame as I was hoping this visit would be a highlight of my trip to Berlin. It's unfortunate that prices in good restaurants are rising these days while quality seems to be declining at the same time. This is difficult for me to understand. I simply can no longer recommend a restaurant like this because the experience is no longer reliable. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio left a lot to be desired, as did the freshness of the food and its quality.

Wir haben uns zu viert für das Chefmenü entschieden - man kann sich einfach entspannen und genießen, wie Rami sagt: don’t worry and enjoy! Es ging schon toll los mit selbst gebackenem Sauerteigbrot und einer hausgemachten köstlichen Butter. Standalone Potenzial:) dann folgte eine Geschmacksexplosion nach der anderen und wir waren sehr froh mit unserer Entscheidung, dem Chef die Auswahl gelassen zu haben, perfekter ging’s nicht. Start waren Beetroot Bruschetta und Panisses, beide Gerichte eine Köstlichkeit für sich, und beetroot gleichauf mit einem Wildem Broccoli meine persönlichen Favoriten, aber auch nur um Haaresbreite vor z.B. Crispy Octopus: dieser Duft! Beamt einen sofort in südliche Gefilde am Meer. Der Rest wird nicht verraten, müsst Ihr selbst probieren 😋 nur noch soviel: ich bin kein Nachtisch-Fan, aber diese Trilogie war der Hammer!!!!! Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend, von dem wir noch lange schwärmen werden. Danke an Rami und Guy für den aufmerksamen Service! Wir haben viel zusammen gelacht!

Have been coming back here a few times in the last months - each time to a better experience. Menu is consistently good, changing with the season so never boring, service always friendly and communicative. In warmer days the outdoor area is particularly pleasant. Beef tartar and all the seafood dishes are top notch, malabi dessert is the best I’ve had anywhere.

Went here with friends, the food was incredible, nothing like that in the area, good combination of both seafood and vegetarian. The atmosphere was good, great vibes from the staff. highly recommended!

Cute place with complex dishes with a nice taste. The menu is not really long, we were guided by the waiter, that gave us some recommendations. The service was fast and really kind. The dishes had an interesting taste, with a curious combination of ingredients and sauces. I will recommend the tacos and the artichokes, both dishes were full of flavor and really tasty. We really enjoyed our dinner, and to end with it they invited us to a limonchello.

What a gem! We are already big fans of MontRaw, but the focus on mezze and the opportunity to be surprised by the chef's menu of many small courses is simply great and something very special. We went there for the first time with friends on a Friday evening and were so impressed that we went back the very next day. Great food, nice service, relaxed atmosphere. The Chefs Menu is one of the best gastronomic experiences you can currently have in Berlin.

Had dinner tonight with my two best friends. When we arrived we were one of the first and we did not know what to expect. The waiter was kind and explained the concept, but is when the food came that we were mind blown. Everything was so delicious - the asparagus with the anchovy sauce, the broccoli with tahini sauce as well as the panises were especially amazing. We also had some special cocktails which were incredible. The mezcal sour will forever be in my heart. The staff was so friendly and the owner (we think?) even offered us a free limoncello at the end. This is a place you should not miss.

My wife and I were visiting Germany from the US. We were walking in the neighborhood and decided to try Mezze. Service in English was prompt and complete. Our cocktails (pisco and whisky sours) were delightful. The plates were all very tasty (the potato pave and panisses were exceptionally good). Highly recommended them.

I travel quite a lot around the world, I got to eat in many restaurants. Yesterday's visit to Mezze was a perfect culinary experience, one of the best I've ever had. I took "Aruchat Chef", everything was extremely delicious, combined with great service. Both atmosphere, also location in a classic Berlin quiet neighborhood, but 15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. In short, highly recommend.

The food is delicious and prepared with love and secret knowledge. The fusion of Mediterranean and classical Western cuisines proposes the new unknown and wounderful testes. The atmosphere and personal attitude of restaurant management are very welcome. I recommend this restaurant to all folks who love the culinar adventures.

I recently went to this bar in Berlin and I have to say it was a big disappointment. Although I speak four languages ​​myself and three of them fluently, I find it simply cheeky to have to do without our national language in Germany. The waitress didn't speak a single word of German, which made communication extremely difficult. In a city like Berlin, where German is the main language, I expect at least a basic knowledge of German from the staff. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. This made the whole evening very uncomfortable as we had difficulty placing our orders and asking for additional requests. It's particularly annoying because there are many much better bars nearby that have attentive and German-speaking staff. I will definitely not recommend this bar and will instead choose one of the many better alternatives in the area in the future.

After all the good reviews our expectations were high, unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. We ordered the chef's menu, the wait between dishes was up to 30 minutes. We were not warned that it would take so long. The drinks we ordered were simply forgotten. The staff was clearly overwhelmed. The food was okay, but not enough to change the bad impression. What a shame!

Our dinner here took 3:45 hours, and the only occasions when I ate for more than three hours were at Michelin 3-star restaurants with 10+ courses where it’s intended to take that long. We waited so long for each dish to come out, without much heads up from anyone or proactive communication/gestures for what is going on. Ended up skipping the dessert although it was included in the Chefs menu we ordered. All the other tables were getting annoyed how slow everything was as well. Food is not bad hence not 1 star, and it’s really too bad they don’t know how to run the operation. Not worth the hassle

I've been here 4 times now. It was really good there! Highly priced but good. Today was surprisingly bad! Really disappointing. We ordered a wine and the chef menu at 55 euros per person. I said I don't eat fish/seafood. No problem, they'll put something together for us. I find it unusual to wait 15 minutes for a wine. Especially since there was nothing going on. The neighboring table also had a similar situation. But, when asked, it came. We were served some delicious dishes. These mainly consisted of lettuce and asparagus. Unfortunately that was it. No meat. But sticks (vegetables) with dip. There was fish in it. My comment was noted. I'm slightly annoyed! It was definitely not worth 175 euros. I have no idea how this amount is calculated. It certainly wasn't the wine. I'm pretty angry. More on me than the restaurant! PS: the floor drain outside stinks every now and then... A real shame!

Mezze is one of the best meals we have had in Berlin recently—and that’s saying A LOT! The small plates are creative and delicious, they were ample to share among our group of four as they were so unique that we ordered one of almost each of them. The cocktails were delicious (go with the mezcal!). Finally, Guy is our GUY! If you are lucky enough to have him as your waiter you will have a very fun evening at Mezze. We’ll come back! Berlin, Paris, and Chicago:)

The perfect place to have dinner and fresh and loving service. The staff was caring and the dishes were dazzling. Don’t leave without trying the wild broccoli! And the after sun cocktail!

Beautifully thought out dishes paired with delicious drinks flowed to our table in perfect timing during our evening at Mezze. The chef, the manager and their staff are all knowledgeable and passionate about everything that comes out of their kitchen and bar. The small restaurant itself is located in a beautiful washed brick, corner building with large new-york style windows. Will definitely come back, thank you!

I’ve been to this restaurant twice (going tonight for the third time) and every time has been amazing. The waitress Anna was lovely and so so kind and attentive, the food was absolutely delicious and the wine as well. The dishes are truly amazing. Can only recommend this place.

We had a great time here yesterday. The menu is very creative, there are vegetarian, seafood and meat options as well. Everything was very delicious, our fav were the topinambur dish and the octopus. The service was super, the place is charming and cozy. We will come again that is for sure.

Food wasn’t good at all and very expensive for what it actually is… The person who served us was really kind! But all the staff was having drinks while serving and cooking, might be one of reasons why the food wasn’t great…The restaurant atmosphere is nice.

The smaller sister of Montraw, Mezze is a cosy corner restaurant with delicious Israeli stukje tapas dishes. To share or not, whatever tickles your fancy. I have been here on multiple occasions and you really can't go wrong.

Wir waren das erste Mal in der MezzeBar. Fazit: kulinarisches Wunder! Das Ambiente ist auch super süß und die Kellner/Kellnerinnen waren sehr freundlich.

Super leckeres Essen und sehr gute Drinks. Dir Gerichte waren allesamt sehr kreativ und qualitativ sehr hochwertig - so etwas bekommt man nicht häufig.

Unexpectedly good. Most of the dishes were delicious, like Calamaretti and Fish tacos. Service, if not super-experienced at least very attentive which is unusual for Berlin. Place is small and was a bit smelly from food odours when we arrived. Some work with the ventilation could be a development point. Not cheap, but few good things in life are.

Wir haben uns das Essen zu viert geteilt und konnten so alles probieren - Labneh war mein Favorit, aber alles war super lecker. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich aber den Service, der sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam war und sich Zeit genommen hat alle Speisen zu erklären. Wir hatten lange nicht mehr eine so tolle Service Erfahrung in Berlin :)

Nous avons vraiment adoré ce restaurant ! Nous sommes allés chez Mezze le premier jour du nouveau menu (qui change chaque saison). Le concept ici est de commander plusieurs plats par personne et puis de tout partager. Et en partageant chacun entre nous a pu trouver ce qui lui plaisait le plus. Personnellement, je conseille leurs carottes cuites à feu doux et leurs artichauts au basilic.

Went in without a reservation on a Saturday evening. Yet the staff were so kind to find us a place. Great Mediterranean cuisine, very bold in their combinations, sumptuous sauces and garnishing. The two desserts on offer make you long for another serving. Great wines from Germany and the Mediterranean. Tried all the warm dishes and a cold starter plus two servings of each dessert with wine and cocktails for fpur people and paid 180 Euros. Good choice of lounge music olaying decently in the background. Would definitwly reccommed it, if you want to try something differebt with a twist.

I was here three times and always loved it, recommended it to friends as the top 5 in Berlin due to the combination of delicious food, great service and fair prices. Today was extremely disappointing though. The new menu is not good at all, the carrots were by far not as good as before and the lamb was horrible! All of this for 120€ and rather unfriendly service. I won‘t come back.

Nach meinem letzten Besuch in der Mezze Bar vor ungefähr 6 Monaten war ich absolut begeistert. Nun war ich ein zweites Mal hier und muss meine Rezension nun leider stark nach unten korrigieren. Was hat sich verändert? 1. Die Preise wurden angehoben. Während das Chef‘s Menu zum Anfang des neuen Jahres bei 50€ pP lag, wurde es nun um 20% auf 60€ pP angehoben. Auch die Limo (die zu 60% aus Eiswürfeln besteht) fand ich für 8€ recht hochpreisig. Aufgrund der hohen Inflation kann ich die gestiegenen Preise noch nachvollziehen und hätte hiermit auch kein Problem gehabt, wenn nicht die folgenden beiden Punkte wären. 2. Die Vielfalt und Menge an Gerichten im Rahmen des Chef‘s Menu ließ stark(!) zu wünschen übrig. Wir waren zu viert dort und hatten alle das Chefs Menu gewählt (haben also nur für das Essen ohne Getränke bereits 240€ gezahlt). Bekommen haben wir insgesamt 9 unterschiedliche Gerichte, die wir auch à la carte für deutlich unter 200€ hätten bestellen können. Das fand ich sehr bedauerlich. Beim letzten Besuch waren wir zu dritt und hatten von der Vielfalt und Menge der Gerichte deutlich mehr für unser Geld bekommen. 3. Die Qualität der Speisen war gut und auch geschmacklich fanden wir es ordentlich. Allerdings hat uns die Finesse gefehlt, die man bei einem Abendessen in der Preisklasse erwartet. Das war beim letzten Mal auch noch anders. Fazit: Für den Preis gibt es meiner Meinung nach bessere Restaurants in Berlin.

Excellent, trendy restaurant in a cool residential neighbourhood. Possesses all the traits of a good restaurant that would easily compete amongst the best in Berlin, yet is placed in a less pretentious neighbourhood setting. Reasonable pricing, well executed food, great to enjoy the outdoor terrace during the spring/summer/fall months.

I had the privilege of dining here tonight, and the experience was truly astounding. The menu struck a perfect balance between modernity and the warmth of a grandmother's cuddle. The seamless transition between courses was remarkable, and I appreciated how each dish celebrated the beauty of simple ingredients while delivering intense flavours. Having eaten my way around the world I can safely say that this is one of the best meals I have ever had. My personal favourites were the olive jam, tzatziki, labneh and rich but light chocolate dessert. I cannot praise the chefs and staff enough for their service. The wine recommendations were on point and matched the meal perfectly. I highly recommend Mezze for anyone wanting a comforting but elevated meal. I cannot wait to come back. Thank you <3
