Unfortunately, we were at the Amalfi twice before we watched "My Local, Your Local" episode 148, S9... How unprofessional and shabby in rating can you be? The Host: Yes! It's a real shame because the food is really solid and the service is great. The innkeeper really should have sent someone from his friendly crew to the recording and stayed home. The fact that he had the chutzpah to advertise his undignified participation with a “trophy” displayed in the guest room was the final straw for me. No, I can't and won't spend my money there anymore. Sorry.

Eine traumhafte Pizza, nur die Wartezeit dafür von fast zwei Stunden ist eindeutig zu lange. Freundliche Bedienung, vielleicht etwas laut aber der Geschmack entschädigt.

Here you can find the best Napoleonic pizza in Wuppertal, but the pasta is also definitely recommended. The service is always extremely friendly and the waiting times are good even when the house is full.

Unfortunately, the ambience was rather negative, the room is hardly upholstered or otherwise equipped to absorb noise, and a conversation at the table was rather tiring during rush hour. Had a quick dinner and a great experience. Staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable, even got a little appetizer on the house before my pizza arrived and I could tell from just the bread alone that the main dish would not disappoint. And indeed, it did not! Some of the tastiest pizza I've ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend the pistacchio burrata pizza that's just the perfect blend of creamy & crunchy. And all that, on top of great presentation.

Drama tent, indicated that there was room on the date and time, then told them that they had not sent a confirmation so there was no room. These people let them fill up on reservation requests even when there is no room, so they always have plenty of options for guests and they never go unreserved. Staff also arrogant and act like they are crazy.

A great restaurant with great food and incredibly friendly staff. Super cozy location. We spontaneously looked for a place to have dinner after a photo shoot in the city. The restaurant was fully booked, but the staff responded very friendly and still found space for us. There were four of us and we immediately agreed that the pizza was the best we've ever eaten - great cuisine!

Until yesterday, I couldn't imagine wowing my husband with an Italian restaurant. But that’s what happened in Amalfi. The preparation of the pizza, the antipasti plate, the ingredients, it really seems very Italian. If we were in Wuppertal again, we would consider visiting here again.

We had dinner at Amalfi just before Christmas. The service was super nice. The food was extremely delicious. I haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time. The portion was huge for the price. It was a thoroughly successful evening and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The wine also tasted excellent. Thank you for the wonderful time!

First of all, the food is super tasty and the service is really good! If you get a table, go there. BUT: since the restaurant cannot be reached during the day, I booked a table via the homepage. I thought! I just called because the system had booked in 20 people (2 were requested). It was then (friendly) explained to me on the phone that this was “just” a booking request on the homepage! This would not be processed until 240 hours later. The restaurant would be fully booked and we wouldn't be able to eat. Ergo, if I hadn't called we would have arrived there hungry tomorrow because I thought I had booked a table. Why was I even able to choose a table? Why doesn't the system show fully booked? Well thought, poorly executed. There is room for improvement. ADDENDUM: Apparently, according to the waiter, it takes 240 hours for the booking to be processed. Right now, immediately after my call, I get the email with the rejection... Sorry, but if you want to make fun of me, please don't do it like that. I reserved a table by calling before my next visit! Worked well 😃

Sehr tolles Restaurant! Beste Calzone die ich je gegessen habe! Toller und sehr netter Service! Wir kommen aus Nähe Hamburg und waren heute dort zu Besuch. Auch mit einem Hund ist es kein Problem dort essen zu gehen. Wirklich toll und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen! Dankeschön 🙂

Gutes Essen aber leider sehr laut

Trotz viel zu später Reservierung an einem Samstagabend wurde extra für uns ein Tisch dazugestellt. Im Restaurant war JEDER Platz belegt, dennoch wurden wir freundlich empfangen, gut beraten und aufmerksam umsorgt (Wein nachschenken, nach weiteren Wünschen fragen etc.) Der Kellner war perfekt: zugewandt, freundlich, ohne jedes Anzeichen von Hektik- so fühlt man sich als Gast wohl! Die Speisen waren quantitativ üppig und qualitativ hervorragend. Ich hatte gewagt , trotz der hohen Auslastung der Küche Kaninchenfilet zu bestellen - hochriskant, weil es sehr leicht trocken wird- aber es kam zart, saftig, wohlschmeckend: eine bemerkenswerte Leistung! Auch das Rumpsteak meines Mannes war perfekt rosa, saftig - 1a! Und nicht zuletzt: das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut angemessen! Wie schade, dass wir nicht in Wuppertal wohnen und öfter ins Amalfi gehen können!

Für mich die beste Pizza in Wuppertal. Gute Zutaten, gut zubereitet. Die wechselnden Angebote sind vielfältig. Für eine perfekte Pizza fehlt mir jedoch noch etwas. Vielleicht habe ich bisher auch noch nicht meine Pizza gefunden. Pizza teilweise zu salzig. Auch die Mitarbeiter*innen sind soweit nett, teilweise ein bisschen zu motiviert. So habe ich mir eine scharfe Pizza bestellt, ohne mich zu fragen hat der Kellner aber beschlossen, dass ich mit Sicherheit eine weniger scharfe Variante bevorzuge und mir dies dann beim servieren mitgeteilt, schade. Hauswein ok. Ich werde sicherlich noch häufig wieder kommen und mich durch die Pizzen probieren.

Endlich wieder mal hier! Erstklassiger Service, super leckeres Essen, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis… Das ist Italien!

Wir haben uns jetzt sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten einen schönen Abend. Das Essen war extrem lecker und sättigend. Vor allem die Pizzen waren ganz toll. Der Service hat sich gut um uns gekümmert, und auch mal Vorschläge gemacht, was man sonst noch probieren könne. Fanden wir sehr gut! Für die Qualität und den Service waren die Preise sehr angemessen. Pizzen zwischen zehn und 20 €. Wir würden auf jeden Fall noch mal hinkommen.

Ich war mit einer Gruppe dort und den Kolleg*innen hat es sehr gut gefallen.Pizzen Steaks Nudeln waren sehr gut. Sehr gerne wieder!

Wir haben für 5 Personen reserviert und saßen draußen auf dem Luisenplatz, direkt gegenüber vom Amalfi. Der Kellner war einfach nur klasse - viel Humor, sehr freundlich und immer für uns da, trotz voller Tische hatte er sich auch immer seit genommen 😀. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen war groß und völlig ausreichend um satt zu werden. Wir haben zum größten Teil von der Zusatzkarte, die auf einer Tafel präsentiert wurde bestellt. Das Preisgefüge für die Portionen und Qualität ist absolut gut. Wer italienische Küche mag, sollte hier einmal Speisen gehen. Die Pizza - lecker, die Pasta so Tartuffo mit Gambas - lecker und auch das Saltim Bocca ist zu empfehlen. Und der gemischte Vorrspeisenteller „al Italia“ reicht für 2 😀. Danke für den netten Abend mit gutem Essen 😀 21.10.2023 Heute waren wir zu Zweit hier essen und saßen drinnen. Wie schon beim letzten Mal - Bedienungen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen sehr lecker. Aber: es ist drinnen sehr laut - warum die Gäste so schreien erschließt sich mir nicht. Aber leider war es zu kalt draußen zu sitzen. Das hat aber dem schönen Abend kein Abbruch getan

Wirklich sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Personal ist sehr lebhaft und lebt seinen Job. Das Essen ist köstlich. Die Speisekarte daher überschaulich aufgebaut. Günstige ist es zwar nicht, aber Qualität hat halt seine Preise.

Auf Empfehlung war ich mit meiner Freundin dort. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und an unseren Tisch direkt an der Küche geleitet. Zuerst dachte mach, dass es vielleicht etwas unruhig werden könnte, jedoch konnte man der Aussage der Kellner zu Beginn voll vertrauen. Was erst vielleicht als Nachteil gesehen werden konnte war sehr positiv, weil man sehen konnte wie das Essen zubereitet wurde und alles was raus ging wurde für uns nochmal erklärt, was uns die Essensbestellung erleichterte. Nicht zu letzt auch der Empfehlung des Personals geschuldet entschieden wir uns für eine Vorspeisenplatte für zwei, Pizza und zwei Desserts. Die Vorspeisenplatte war voll mit verschiedenen Spezialitäten. Die Pizzen zum Hauptgang waren wirklich sehr gut, klassische napolianische Pizza, die wir selten so gut gegessen haben. Wirklich eine klare Empfehlung für jeden Liebhaber des klassischen italienischen Gerichts. Als Dessert wurde meiner Freundin sogar ein Tiramisu reserviert, da diese auch zur Neige gingen, hier nochmal klares Lob an den Service und die Aufmerksamkeit. Die Nachspeisen waren auch sehr gut und ein gelungener Abschluss. Zum Abschied gab es noch für jeden einen Limocello und noch einen netten Plausch. Das Restaurant ist eine klare Empfehlung und wir kommen gerne wieder hier hin. Danke noch einmal für den netten Abend.

Wir sind durch Zufall vor ein paar Jahren auf das Amalfi gestoßen und wir sind immer wieder gerne hier. Das Personal ist seit Jahren immer top organisiert, megafreundlich und total charmant. Achja, das Essen! Grandios! Ich liebe die Pizza, die Nudeln und natürlich die Vorspeisen. Ich kann das Amalfi nur weiterempfehlen! Apropos… der Limoncello und das Peroni sind immer Pflicht ❤️
