Service was ok, unfortunately the oven dishes weren't served in a clay pot but in a casserole dish. The bulgur didn't taste good, the main courses with a side dish of meat, vegetables, everything was served cold to lukewarm and that's not my thing, I don't like it, it's a shame I was happy about something in the restaurant after years I'm completely exhausted to eat

The starters were very varied and all very tasty. Main courses took a while because there were several people there and were then all served hot together. Both the clay pot dishes and the pan dishes as well as the shrimp tasted good. Above all, you have to praise the service, very friendly and attentive.

Everything is just right here! Very, very tasty food, always great, attentive service (no matter how busy it is) and a cozy atmosphere at a fair price/performance ratio! We always enjoy coming here.

Very good food (in our case: brunch), tidy and clean, very friendly staff. Good value for money! Good to know: dogs allowed :), that made us happy. We'd love to come back!

Very friendly service who occasionally forgot something and the food was okay. We were there because it was rated very positively. Everything was good, but only good. We only give the desserts 3 stars for the price/performance ratio.

The service was absolutely great, the food was also extremely tasty. I can only recommend it! It was a bit drafty, despite the patio heaters, but that shouldn't detract from it.

Food was excellent. We had starter, main and dessert. Everything is just great! Unfortunately we waited a little long for dessert but there was also a very tasty compensation. Sitting outside was a bit chilly at times. With the blankets and patio heaters offered, it was still easy to sit out there until 10 p.m. Simply great! We'll be back 😉

Best restaurant I've eaten at in a long time!! Very pleasant atmosphere, the outdoor area, which can be optionally covered, is super cozy and the interior is also tastefully decorated. In general, the furnishings and decorations on the table - you can tell someone has put some thought into it. The service was really first class, we felt so comfortable and welcome, best wishes to Norman! As if that wasn't enough, the food was so delicious you can't put it into words. Wow. The main course was a hit, even side dishes like yoghurt and bread stole the show from the main course. The dessert was the absolute highlight; huge recommendation for the mixed dessert plate and künefe! We were in a food coma. Drinks were also great, great cocktails and delicious Turkish tea and coffee. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right and highly recommended for a special gourmet evening, for which I would be happy to travel three quarters of an hour. See you next time!!

The selection of dishes is large, the food was very tasty. On the day of the visit the restaurant was very busy. The waiter made a mistake and my companion accidentally got chicken skewers instead of grilled skewers. You apologized very kindly and a very tasty dessert came from the kitchen as a “consolation”. It's nice that you can also sit outside.

Went there spontaneously yesterday as a couple. We were greeted very friendly and immediately shown to a table outside. The food was excellent, the service courteous, attentive and all around great. The ambience on the terrace in the courtyard is great. Absolute recommendation in all respects.

Das dritte mal aus Hessen angereist, das dritte mal vollauf zufrieden. Wir hatten gemischte Vorspeisen, Lamm und Gemüse aus dem Tonofen und verschiedene Deserts. Alles sehr köstlich. Dazu gab es türkisches Bier und türkischen Wein, das haben wir sonst noch nie erhalten können. Letztlich war die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam.

I'm very excited. Beautiful location, great and attentive service. Starter menu for 2 - it was easily enough for 3 of us. Main course was number 34 - chicken skewer without skewer :-) very well fried.

It's no longer an insider tip when it comes to Turkish cuisine far away from snack bars and kebab stalls. The staff is very friendly and makes great recommendations for food and wine. Perfect Turkish cuisine in a great ambience. The newly designed outdoor area with the roof is really successful. Sitting inside is also very comfortable. Definitely make a reservation.

I had the best sea bream of my life and this dessert... Hmmm... But annoying: you can ONLY pay the tip (which the very good service there deserves) in CASH. Dear accountant of the company: it's the year 2024. For a store of your size, it's a no-go that I had to run to the ATM again. Any decent restaurant can do that, and I'm sure you can too. The best Turkish restaurant in all of Germany. Best Turkish cuisine, best service, no matter which employee. Everyone is super friendly and very quick to serve. We've never waited long for our food. No matter when you eat here, even if the restaurant is fully booked. The food tastes excellent. We have been regular customers for many years and that is how we are served. You know each other by name and like to receive a little attention from time to time. 200% (!) recommendation.

Great restaurant but you should ban smoking outside. It's not tasty when you eat your delicious Adana skewer and have that smoke in your nose.

We passed by here on a Sunday morning, and the place was packed. Had a look at the menu and it looked good, so we made a reservation for dinner. We left disappointed. The service was average at best, the grilled chicken and lamb was undercooked, and the adana kebab too well done. The decor looks Turkish but the rest of the experience was not what I would expect in a really good Turkish restaurant.

Excellent food. Had the warm shared starter. I had the mixed grill and other half had a lamb dish which was very tasty and plenty of delicious melt in the mouth meat. Half litre of the house red was a bargain at 14,90 but raki was expensive at 5,90 a shot. Overall very good value for money. Lovely interior based in a great location close to some good bars

We were there for the first time today and found the atmosphere immediately inviting and cozy. The staff and service were great. Very friendly staff, always nice, no long waiting times. The food was fantastic and really tasty. Both our starter platter (for 2) as well as the main course and the dessert tasted great and the portions were also great. We will definitely come back, even though we are not from the area. (Werne and near Osnabrück)

The portions were filling and very delicious, the appetizers were amazing and quite plentiful, even for 2 people. I just found the price of water too expensive and I think it should be made more affordable.

Always worth a visit!!! The food is consistently delicious: whether lamb skewer for meat lovers or one of the wonderful vegetarian dishes. The super nice team (thanks Norman, you're the best 😉!) is always in a good mood and the service is simply great! Reservation is recommended as it is usually very well attended.

A little trip to the south! If you like Turkish cuisine, this is the place for you. Tastes original, just like in Turkey. I wanted to say that, cold warm starters was a disaster, main course scampis from grill was scampis from pan with a lot of butter and no taste, dessert, kunneffe was ok, 202€ 5 people and unfortunately nothing was good, staff and service very good.

We had reserved a table, I guess without a reservation it will be very difficult to get a seat. The entire restaurant was full. Nevertheless, this wasn't a problem at all for the service. Everyone was super friendly and very attentive and we never had to wait long for food or drinks. The atmosphere among the guests and service was cheerful and the background noise was cheerful and loud, as I know it from the south and like it very much. The dishes we ordered were fresh and extremely delicious. My companion told me that it was our Pina Bausch's favorite restaurant. I like to believe that. I'll definitely be back. My absolute recommendation

The food was good but service was a disaster. There were 6 of us on a Thursday, so the restaurant wasn't full. We were served orders at a popular time, not together. When dessert came, the coffee was already empty or cold. 🫣 When we mentioned this, we were just looked at stupidly... Very unprofessional and unmotivated service.

Brunch is not suitable for vegans for the price. There's nothing excellent and not really much vegan. Unfortunately there is no margarine and unfortunately there are no milk alternatives for coffee either. What was available was: various raw vegetables (lettuce, peppers, cucumber, olives, etc.), a tomato bulgur salad, chickpea salad, various jams and fried potatoes, the rolls and the simit were actually supposed to be vegan. A very nice shop, great atmosphere, I would wish that the individual items in the buffet were at least labeled (also interesting for allergy sufferers and gluten-free)

The restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening. The staff mastered this challenge confidently, professionally and with a lot of charm. The outdoor area is perfect for cozy summer nights. Our meal consisting of starter bowls, bread and main course was very tasty. A recommended restaurant that will definitely host me a second time. End of February 2024, Friday evening A group of 9 people. The restaurant and staff confirmed the good impression from the first visit. And the shop was full throughout the 5 hours of our visit and all the tables were occupied.

We were there on February 16th. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very accommodating. Unfortunately, despite everything, we are dissatisfied. In every restaurant there is a short one on the house. We left a lot of money here with eight people and yet there wasn't even any schnapps to say goodbye etc. house. So people who only eat here for a short time, everything is good / everything else is not recommended. Here we are talking about a “short” minimum cost of goods for everyone. It's a shame... I had to revoke my review from two years ago...

Great Turkish cuisine. Without a reservation with several people it is difficult to get a table - make sure to reserve. Since it's often very busy, it can be louder, which makes it harder to have conversations. The food is highly recommended. We recommend an appetizer that is 1. delicious and 2. shortens the time before eating. Because of the crowds you have to wait sometimes, but everyone is trying hard

I had the pleasure of having brunch at "Alaturka" in Wuppertal last Saturday and my experience was nothing short of fantastic. If you want to treat yourself to an unforgettable culinary experience, I can highly recommend a visit. The decision to make a reservation for brunch turned out to be the right one. The crowd was considerable and it seemed as if every table had been reserved in advance. A smart move as spontaneous guests might have had difficulty securing a spot. The centerpiece of the brunch experience at “Alaturka” was undoubtedly the buffet, which was not only a feast for the eyes but also a true delight for all the senses. The magnificent arrangement of the dishes was not only visually appealing, but also exuded an intoxicating scent that only increased the anticipation of the first bite. The variety of aromas and flavors was remarkable and, in my opinion, extremely authentic. What makes “Alaturka” particularly special is its consideration of different dietary preferences. Regardless of whether you choose vegan, vegetarian or a meat-based version, the offering is varied and of high quality. Everyone really gets their money's worth here. Another plus point of the restaurant is the extremely friendly and attentive staff. Despite the large crowds, we were always served courteously and it seemed as if the team had everything under control. The staff were not only helpful, but also committed to ensuring guests had an overall pleasant stay. The ambience in "Alaturka" also deserves praise. The tasteful furnishings and the pleasant atmosphere contributed significantly to our positive overall impression. Unfortunately, it must be mentioned that due to the large number of guests, the restaurant became a bit noisy at times. Nevertheless, this did not detract from the quality of the visit. Overall, I can fully recommend the "Alaturka" in Wuppertal, especially for a weekend brunch. It is the ideal place for connoisseurs who value authentic cuisine, variety and an appealing ambience. My visit certainly won't be the last!

We had brunch there for the first time today and the first impression was positive. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. We were disappointed with the food. It wasn't brunch, just breakfast. After we had breakfast we thought that the warm food would arrive around midday. Unfortunately it wasn't the case. There was a warm meal (vegetables and meat in a sauce). Unfortunately not recommended. We won't be coming back.
