Great restaurant and great food

So far a good address, but currently no longer recommended. The greeting from a slightly larger employee was like a suicide mission. Unfriendly, listless, arrogant. The colleague's impression was confirmed when the orders were taken. The first drink, a shandy, tasted like nothing. However they did it. There was no dressing included with the salad. So pure nature. The grill pan contains some raw pork. Which, according to the restaurant, is a specialty. The fries were a disaster. The ketchup was thrown on the plate like at McDonalds. By the way, the food was cold. A real highlight was a superfluous half of a tomato on the plate. Whatever it was there for. If you have any complaints about the food, you will receive concentrated expertise from the restaurant. There was also punishment. There was nothing left to drink. Sanitary facilities dirty and run down. So I can't recommend this bad snack bar.

Kein Stern verdient. Unfreundliches/Unverschämtes Personal. Essen schlecht. Schwein nicht durch. Zwiebelrost roh…..Getränke nach Spülmittel geschmeckt. Davon abzusehen, dass das Personal kaum mehr nach dem servieren kam. Von einer Gaststätte nichts zu spüren, der Gast ist hier der Depp, da man mit Kritik nicht umgehen kann. Ist eher vom Feeling ein schlechter Imbiss. Und die Sanitäranlagen schmutzig. Also hier sollte man an sich arbeiten, oder es lieber bleiben lassen. Vom früheren guten Ruf nichts mehr übrig. Sehr enttäuschend.

No star deserved. Unfriendly/rude staff. Food bad. Pig not through. Onion rust raw…..drinks tasted like dishwashing liquid. Apart from that, the staff hardly came after serving. There's no sense of a restaurant, the guest is the idiot here because you can't deal with criticism. It's more of a bad snack in terms of feeling. And the sanitary facilities dirty. So here you should work on yourself, or leave it alone. Nothing remains of its former good reputation. Very disappointing.

Bisher ne gute Adresse aber aktuell nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Die Begrüßung durch einen etwas größeren Mitarbeiter glich einem Himmelfahrtskommando. Unfreundlich, lustlos, arrogant. Der Eindruck des Kollegen hat sich bei der Aufnahme der Bestellungen bestätigt. Das erste Getränk, ein Radler, schmeckte nach nichts. Wie auch immer sie das geschafft haben. Beim Salat war kein Dressing enthalten. Somit Natur pur. Die Grillpfanne enthält teilweise rohes Schweinefleisch. Was aber laut Restaurant eine Spezialität ist. Die Pommes waren eine Katastrophe. Der Ketchup wurde wie bei Mc Donalds auf den Teller geschmissen. Das Essen war übrigens kalt. Ein richtiges Highlight war eine überflüssige halbe Tomate auf dem Teller. Für was die auch immer da war. Bei Beschwerden zum Essen kommt geballte Kompetenz von Seiten des Restaurants auf einen zu. Strafe gab es auch. Es gab nichts mehr zu trinken. Sanitäre Einrichtung dreckig und heruntergekommen. Somit kann ich diese schlechte Imbissbude nicht weiterempfehlen.

Unfortunately the food was absolutely miserable. I ordered the grill pan. The meat was absolutely dry and not of particularly good quality, the fries were cold, there was a plastic container of ketchup on the plate and all in all it didn't taste good at all. The dessert (apple cake) was mediocre at best and not even the mixed drinks tasted good. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly friendly either. Unfortunately I have to give a bad review here for once and that was definitely the last time I ate here.

Mein Besuch im Bauerntanz war ein Volltreffer! Das Lokal war schon liebevoll und weihnachtlich dekoriert, was direkt für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre gesorgt hat. Das Kalbsschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln war einfach top- zart, perfekt gewürzt und super lecker. Auch der Service war klasse. Man hat sich einfach wohlgefühlt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und komme bestimmt wieder!

My visit to the Bauerntanz was a complete hit! The restaurant was lovingly decorated for Christmas, which immediately created a cozy atmosphere. The veal schnitzel with fried potatoes was simply top. tender, perfectly seasoned and super tasty. Service was also very courteous and friendly

The Bauerntanz rightly benefits from being the oldest inn in Augsburg: the ambience is harmonious, rustic, and the service is very attentive. The quality of the food is good, but you shouldn't be too hungry 😉

The holiday soup was cold, the Jägerschnitzel was anything but tender, the spaetzle was dry, the Viennese style schnitzel was raw inside. Other dishes such as the dumpling salad were also delicious, but unfortunately there was too much to complain about. When we pointed out the raw schnitzel to the waiter, there was not a word of apology or regret. We were given the feeling that we were to blame for the poor preparation. The desire to pay €300 with a credit card was strangely ridiculed without giving a reason for it. It's freezing cold right into the farthest corners when the door opens. Maybe you should invest in a vestibule. Overall, that's just not enough to keep you coming back. The high prices are only justified by the location.

Had cheese spaetzle. The spaetzle were neither homemade nor was there nearly enough cheese on them. The salad was so tiny with hardly any dressing that it would have been better to leave it out. Price: 15.50 Strangely enough, the spaetzle at the next table looked completely different and homemade from the meat dishes. I have this one I've had a good meal in the restaurant before and that's why I'm even more disappointed.

That was probably nothing, maybe we were just unlucky, microwaved food.

What happened there? We have eaten there many times, always very tasty, fresh and tasty. Today it was exactly the opposite, it tasted like yesterday's food that was warmed up in the microwave and then it wasn't even warm. Schnitzel with fried potatoes, schnitzel ok but musty hard potatoes. Sauerbraten, hard crust, with red cabbage completely boiled into porridge, and old fried potatoes for which I paid 1.60 extra because I didn't want dumplings. The 1 star is for the service, which couldn't be better, top. For these prices I would like to get up from the table full and satisfied. This time it was nothing. Will there be a next time? I don't think so.

Super typical place with top local food (and beer) at a good price.

Not just old, but also super cosy and delicious. Highly recommended for those who, like Goethe and co, are on a long journey and need large portions. For everyone else, the friendly staff have a high-percentage solution. Dogs welcome

Went for lunch and were served very politely and courteously. Drinks were delivered quickly and lunch was served very hot. There is nothing to complain about and we felt very comfortable.

We had made a reservation at 6 p.m. but couldn't get in because the table was still occupied by the previous guests. Here I recommend specifying a time window when making the reservation. The red cabbage in my food was cold. The waiters were stressed. Overall, not a very nice evening.

We made a reservation for 8 people at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, the previous guests were still at our table and had to be more or less complimented out. The staff was stressed and not friendly. The red cabbage was cold in two meals. The waiter acknowledged this without reacting. Where the good reviews come from is a mystery to me. The organization needs to be rethought and a time slot should be given when making the reservation. This is also common in other restaurants.

I'm always wondering whether you always have to give full marks.... I know the restaurant from my childhood and haven't been there for ages. But we visited last Sunday and were very impressed by the food and the friendliness of the service. I had the Mozart platter and my wife had the holiday soup and roast pork. Everything was tasty and plentiful. So we can recommend it and will come again because I really want to try the Kässpatzen. and that won't take another 50 years...

A really nice inn and the service was good too. But I guess I was unlucky with the food. The festive soup was very spicy (Maggi?) and the sour Lüngerl from the daily menu was far too vinegary and sour for me. I don't know it that way. I was only able to eat half of the Lüngerl. When I served it, the waitress didn't even ask me if it was tasty...

The food was an absolute disaster and that's putting it harmlessly. The Viennese style schnitzel was over 1cm thick, not seasoned at all and the quality of the meat was seriously questionable. The potato salad was hard because it wasn't cooked long enough. The roast pork here is served lukewarm and with super dry dumplings. The meat is as tender as a tire. All in all just super mad. We let half go back even though we were really hungry.

Friendly service. Food was consumed quickly and everyone had their dishes fairly quickly. All 22 people only praised. Highly recommended

The place was really nice and the food delicious. Here you can eat typical Bavarian food. The stuff was very nice and the waiter even start speaking English with me when he heard I spoke English and not German although my partner in the beginning was speaking only German with him. I was impressed because rarely I fall to waiters in Germany that are willing to speak English when they find out my partner is German. So big thanks for this. 😁

Delicious food and friendly service.

Quite rightly a very busy and popular restaurant. We were there with a group of 8 men and were served deliciously and very courteously. In short: nice service, delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere.

We have enjoyed eating here for many years, but have now discovered that there is a new owner here. This also explains the massive decline in the quality of the food. The sneaky thing is that the entire menu, including the design, was taken over, so that the customer only notices the fraud when the food is already at the table. The sauces now seem as if they only came from bags and were prepared incorrectly because they were just thick and greasy. The staff was overwhelmed with the simplest orders and had to ask if everything was understood correctly. Pork fillet with spaetzle and sauce, on the other hand, were drowned in a sauce so liquid that you could almost drink it if it hadn't been so salty. Really a shame to lose another well-run guesthouse in this city.

In contrast to many other restaurants, there wasn't just schnitzel and fries. We had, among other things, very tasty fish at a fair price.

Despite the high number of guests, our service was very quick and friendly. Food was tasty and plentiful.

Food and ambience great. Unfortunately the service was incompetent and rude. After a wait of almost exactly an hour after ordering (ordered at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday), the service person (a massive, almost two meter tall man) responded with rude comments. We took the liberty of asking why guests who arrived later at neighboring tables received the dishes we had ordered much earlier than we did.

Service top. A very nice open person. We sat outside and it was very comfortable. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. Onion roast was tough and not medium rare. Spaetzle okay. Salad mediocre Would come back for a beer because of the service. We would eat somewhere else

We were recommended this restaurant by our friends so we had high expectations, but all the dishes were very average, which would have been fine but then they charged us €8 for sharing our dishes! We always like to share dishes amongst our group of 6 so we can all try different dishes.. never have we been charged an outrageous fee for sharing our dishes and not been informed of it beforehand. Do not recommend !!

The food is good, but the service is not. When I paid for my dinner, the waiter directly told me an amount that included 10% service charge without informing me. In Frankfurt you don't do that at all. I added an extra 10% tip to the amount he told me. The waiter didn't say anything when he took the money either. It wasn't until 10 minutes after I left the restaurant that I realized I had paid a 20% service charge. This was definitely not a good experience.

Vegetable strudel for 15 EUR, not a good price-performance ratio and not recommended in terms of taste. The plates are torn from the table even though you are still chewing and have just put the last fork in your mouth. That's a nogo!

Delicious food from Swabian cuisine. Good price-performance ratio. It feels like the restaurant has been around forever, so the good name is no coincidence. If you're in the mood for hearty food, this is the place for you.

The food is really amazing, I had the onion roast with cheese spaetzle. An absolute recommendation. The only thing I don't really recommend is the beer from Hasenbräu because I just don't like it that much. But as we all know, that’s a matter of taste…

Had white sausage in broth... something completely new. But delicious.

We liked the main dishes. The apple strudel was very weak. The worst we've ever eaten. We were surprised that we had to pay with a German card and not Visa or MasterCard. In the end we had to pay in cash. The gentlemen who served us were nice and polite.

Large portions, everything very tasty. My husband had the Mozartplatte and I had the Gelbfüssler's Leibspeis'. A dream - especially the Kässpätzla. It couldn't be better. Also great ambience, if you sit outside it's nice and shady. We'll definitely be back.

We didn't like it here at all. The food, especially vegetarian dishes, are not good. Without love, taste, freshness; this is microwave food… The two Aperol Spritz hardly contained any Aperol or sparkling wine. Last but not least, these two drinks were not on the bill; they were added verbally to the printed bill. Accordingly, the two drinks are probably not in the cash register and the corresponding tax was probably not paid. If that were the case, it would be a criminal offense. Absolutely no recommendation!

Mediocre food. Fries were a bit limp. Schnitzel tasted okay but not exceptional. I missed a salad/cranberry sauce with the schnitzel. We found it annoying that the waiter kept walking past the tables like a kind of surveillance. The place was beautiful and quiet. To go to the toilet you had to go into a fairly dark basement. Didn't feel very chill.

The Bauerntanz is comfortably located in Augsburg in the old town of Augsburg. Food was very tasty and arrived very quickly. Our waiter was a bit grumpy.

We often stopped at the “Bauerntanz Restaurant” on the way home from the city center for food, bottles of wine, beer (even after a champagne brunch at Maximilian’s). This was also the case two days ago with friends who were visiting. The support from the service employee (native of Wuppertal) was excellent. We wanted to do the same today with a visit from relatives from Berlin. My cousin needed a toilet and I sent her ahead on the way to the restaurant. To my surprise, she was rudely and loudly rejected by a super aggressive foreign gentleman. When I came over with an ice cream in my hand and said that because of his behavior we wouldn't sit down and have a meal, this gentleman called me a liar and "that I certainly wouldn't eat an ice cream from him..." Next: “We don’t need guests like you.” I'll turn that around - we don't need restaurants like "Bauerntanz". There are plenty of alternatives in Augsburg. NEVER AGAIN! A pity

Everything here was actually right, from the friendly, natural service (you were greeted warmly by all the waitresses as soon as you entered the outdoor area) to the drinks and the food. We'll definitely come back. 😉

Augsburg é uma "cidade grande" e com a maioria dos seus restaurantes reservados. Nós brasileiros não temos esse hábito. Tinhamos o nome Altstadtgasthaus Bauerntanzdele apontado, mas com a informação de "que era rude, bruto e mal educado". Se ele sobreviveu aos séculos desde os anos 1500, por que nós não sobreviveriamos? A recepcionista tentou ser um pouco inflexivel, mas um garçom sérvio interviu e consegue uma mesa para cinco pessoas. Ele era piadista e objetivo. A refeição seguiu o padrão bávaro tal como pequenos bifes de vaca, porco e filé de peito de frango com legumes, tomate grelhado, spaetzle de manteiga, bolinhos de bacon e couve e molho de cogumelos (com o sugestivo nome de Augsburg Mozart Platz), Ravioli da Suábia com recheio de ervas e carne e cebola picante derretida e gratinada com queijo, sopa de bolinhos de salsicha. As sobremesa foi a strudel de maça quente com sorvete de baunilha e strudel de maçã quente com creme. Tudo regado a Riesling e Wiesen. Tudo embriagadoramente delicioso. Pagamos 165 euros (uma média de 30 euros/pessoa). Mas saimos felizes e satisfeitos para enfrentar mais uma feira de Natal.

Direkt gelegen am Lechkanal mit einigen Tischen zum Draußen sitzen. Da wir (wie eigentlich alle anderen auch) nicht reserviert hatten wurden wir etwas unfreundlich aufgefordert, kurz zu warten - was auch kein Problem war, nur der Ton macht die Musik. Dann wurde uns ein 2-er Tischchen zugeteilt mit Schatten. Die Servicekraft dort war lustig drauf und sehr freundlich. Das Essen (Gemüsestrudel und Maultaschen) war lekker und kam einigermaßen zügig an den Tisch.

Todo riquísimo, la calidad precio genial, éramos 4 y con 3 platos estábamos llenos. Platos de buena calidad y sabor exquisito. Lo único las bebidas un poco caras. Servicio de 10. Muy contentos con este sitio volveríamos sin dudarlo!!! De plato recomiendo el ravioli, de 10!!

Los platos son abundantes. Pedimos unos raviolis (Schwäbische Maultaschen) que fue lo que más nos gustó junto a la carne (Grillpfanne "Bauerntanz"). También pedimos un escalope (Schweineschnitzel "Wiener Art'"). Las bebidas son más caras de lo usual. El servicio era súper amable, daba gusto, y la taberna muy bonita.

Excellent quality-price. The dishes are abundant. We ordered some ravioli (Schwäbische Maultaschen) which was what we liked the most along with the meat (Grillpfanne "Bauerntanz"). We also ordered a schnitzel (Schweineschnitzel 'Wiener Art'). Drinks are more expensive than usual. The service was super friendly, a pleasure, and the tavern was very nice.

We came as a large group and were warmly welcomed. The service was courteous, the food came quickly and was tasty. The atmosphere there is particularly beautiful. Rarely have we eaten out as a group in such a relaxed manner. :) We'll be happy to come back the next time we visit Augsburg :)

It's always nice to return to the Bauerntanz, an ancient inn from 1572, where Mozart the father, Diesel etc. stayed here.. you really experience a nice atmosphere

It's been a while since I've been there. Very nice service, delicious food. I can only recommend going outside in the evening to enjoy the quiet old town!

Mushroom sauce was separate which was good so that everything wasn't drowned and the cheese pätzle was a dream. Juicy, great cheese and homemade fried onions on the side. Highly Recommended.
