Great food, friendly and helpful service, and highly recommended atmosphere.

Very friendly service, rustic atmosphere and delicious food. We had onion roast which was fried to a perfect medium rare and very juicy. Also Jägerschnitzel and bread dumplings with mushroom cream sauce

The reception and service were good, the food was good, and the interior wasn't particularly spectacular; I had hoped for more. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a top-notch place. The leg of lamb arrived after about five minutes. The roast potatoes and beans in bacon weren't very hot, and the meat heated up quickly in the microwave, but the taste wasn't bad.

Very expensive food for the quantity, food was okay not the best, was here a few years ago, has deteriorated quite a bit.

Far too little on the plate for 19 euros of boiled beef. Not enough vegetables as a side dish

Good Swabian home cooking of high quality. The caramelized Kaiserschmarrn is a poem! Pleasantly down-to-earth audience. Fast service. But the price is at the upper limit.

There were four of us with four dogs and we had a very nice evening. The Maultaschen in the starter soup were a poem. The sauerbraten an absolute 10 out of 10 and for the Kaiserschmarn we would give it an 11 out of 10 with stars. Cheers to the kitchen! The staff was always there and approachable, the drinks came very quickly. Was a great evening!

Great local experience super typical Bavarian style, beer and typical dishes. We ordered jägerschnitzel and it was fantastic with a side of Käsespätzle. Fast service with super trained and friendly waiters. Highly recommended. They also accept BG vouchers

Terrible food! They served my partner and me two wiener art schnitzels and they were terrible. The batter was soft as if it had been fried in water and it smelled and tasted like fish. This happens when you use the same fryer oil to fry fish and meat or mix the products in the freezer. We definitely won't be back! The price was for two pork schnitzel, a bottle of water and Coca-Cola €45

We ate there for the first time today... very friendly service... the food was very good... once we had salmon with tagliatelle with a delicious orange sauce... very tasty... the lumberjack steak with bacon beans and fried potatoes was also excellently prepared... a cozy atmosphere rounds everything off nicely. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend it.

Typical Swabian/Bavarian cuisine

Not just old, but also super cosy and delicious. Highly recommended for those who, like Goethe and co, are on a long journey and need large portions. For everyone else, the friendly staff have a high-percentage solution. Dogs welcome

Positiv waren der Kinderstuhl und die Portionsgröße, jedoch geschmacklich nichts Besonderes. Das Essen war innerhalb von 5 Minuten da, vermutlich alles aufgewärmt, so hat es auch geschmeckt. Preis-Leistung passt aus unserer Sicht nicht, wir hatten uns auf frische traditionelle bayerische Küche gefreut.

I had the baked Maultaschen. These are probably not homemade, they reminded me a lot of vacuum-packed Maultaschen from Bürger. Unfortunately, the Maultaschen were only lukewarm and had a lot of bite. The cheese that was gratinated with is a sprinkled cheese from the package. The cheese wasn't fully baked yet and tasted like the starch that was added to the cheese package to prevent the cheese from clumping together. Unfortunately, the dish disappointed me, I think the portion size was too small for a main course and the price was around €15. Positive: the order was taken quickly, the staff was friendly and concerned about the guest's well-being. The ambience is very nice.

We found the food here to be pretty average and not something we would seek out again. The atmosphere is nice and the establishment has a long history with well-known former guests, and we found the service to be friendly.

Located in the old town. Was pleasantly surprised. Everyone at the birthday party enjoyed it. Since the prices are not expensive, the restaurant was well attended.

This used to be my favourite restaurant in Augsburg and is always top of our list when we visit. There has clearly been a change of management. Whilst the food is still good, the staff members are certainly less welcoming and friendly. Such a shame.

Ambiente toll, Essen gut nur leider Bedienung etwas "pampig". Auch wurden die Tische schon ab 21 Uhr für den Feierabend "gesperrt". War dann ungemütlich da man sich nicht mehr willkommen gefühlt hat. War ein netter Abend; lag aber an den Leuten die mit uns dort waren

Great food. It was crowded and you need to make a reservation. We didn't make a reservation, because we just arrived in Augsburg. However they serve us anyway and food was delicious. I recommend.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. There were three of us there. The restaurant was well attended and we were allowed to choose one of the few free tables. The service is quick. However, we missed the usual Bavarian hospitality. The spaces are incredibly tight. The neighboring table was so close that the chairs could not be placed back to back. And if someone had to go to the toilet, someone always had to get up. The respective people could only sit staggered. I don't want to be that close to strangers while eating. The food was okay. I had venison goulash. If my husband didn't have enough sauce, I had too much and it had already curdled. I wouldn't go here again to eat. However, we had to wait a long time for the bill and were also unlucky that EC card payments were not possible at that time. What really bothered me, however, was the situation with the toilets. As a woman you are forced to walk past the men's toilet. It's impossible to look away so far that you don't see the men standing at the urinal. That doesn't work at all

We arrived 30 mins before closing time and they still let us in. The waiter was very great! Friendly and efficient. The food was good and the place had a traditional and cosy vibe.

Das Essen war okay bringt aber leider alles nichts, wenn man sich unerwünscht fühlt. Wir haben hier unsere Weihnachtsfeier verbracht. Wir wurden mehrmals vom Personal belästigt, ob wir auch wirklich alle Plätze benötigen und nicht etwas näher zusammen rücken können. Nachdem an einen Tisch Gäste dazu platziert wurden, saßen wir im Endeeffekt Schulter an Schulter wie die Hennen auf der Stange nebeneinander. Hier steht nicht das Wohl des Gastes im Vordergrund, sondern die Kasse.

Bisher ne gute Adresse aber aktuell nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Die Begrüßung durch einen etwas größeren Mitarbeiter glich einem Himmelfahrtskommando. Unfreundlich, lustlos, arrogant. Der Eindruck des Kollegen hat sich bei der Aufnahme der Bestellungen bestätigt. Das erste Getränk, ein Radler, schmeckte nach nichts. Wie auch immer sie das geschafft haben. Beim Salat war kein Dressing enthalten. Somit Natur pur. Die Grillpfanne enthält teilweise rohes Schweinefleisch. Was aber laut Restaurant eine Spezialität ist. Die Pommes waren eine Katastrophe. Der Ketchup wurde wie bei Mc Donalds auf den Teller geschmissen. Das Essen war übrigens kalt. Ein richtiges Highlight war eine überflüssige halbe Tomate auf dem Teller. Für was die auch immer da war. Bei Beschwerden zum Essen kommt geballte Kompetenz von Seiten des Restaurants auf einen zu. Strafe gab es auch. Es gab nichts mehr zu trinken. Sanitäre Einrichtung dreckig und heruntergekommen. Somit kann ich diese schlechte Imbissbude nicht weiterempfehlen.

So far a good address, but currently no longer recommended. The greeting from a slightly larger employee was like a suicide mission. Unfriendly, listless, arrogant. The colleague's impression was confirmed when the orders were taken. The first drink, a shandy, tasted like nothing. However they did it. There was no dressing included with the salad. So pure nature. The grill pan contains some raw pork. Which, according to the restaurant, is a specialty. The fries were a disaster. The ketchup was thrown on the plate like at McDonalds. By the way, the food was cold. A real highlight was a superfluous half of a tomato on the plate. Whatever it was there for. If you have any complaints about the food, you will receive concentrated expertise from the restaurant. There was also punishment. There was nothing left to drink. Sanitary facilities dirty and run down. So I can't recommend this bad snack bar.

No star deserved. Unfriendly/rude staff. Food bad. Pig not through. Onion rust raw…..drinks tasted like dishwashing liquid. Apart from that, the staff hardly came after serving. There's no sense of a restaurant, the guest is the idiot here because you can't deal with criticism. It's more of a bad snack in terms of feeling. And the sanitary facilities dirty. So here you should work on yourself, or leave it alone. Nothing remains of its former good reputation. Very disappointing.

Kein Stern verdient. Unfreundliches/Unverschämtes Personal. Essen schlecht. Schwein nicht durch. Zwiebelrost roh…..Getränke nach Spülmittel geschmeckt. Davon abzusehen, dass das Personal kaum mehr nach dem servieren kam. Von einer Gaststätte nichts zu spüren, der Gast ist hier der Depp, da man mit Kritik nicht umgehen kann. Ist eher vom Feeling ein schlechter Imbiss. Und die Sanitäranlagen schmutzig. Also hier sollte man an sich arbeiten, oder es lieber bleiben lassen. Vom früheren guten Ruf nichts mehr übrig. Sehr enttäuschend.

Unfortunately the food was absolutely miserable. I ordered the grill pan. The meat was absolutely dry and not of particularly good quality, the fries were cold, there was a plastic container of ketchup on the plate and all in all it didn't taste good at all. The dessert (apple cake) was mediocre at best and not even the mixed drinks tasted good. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly friendly either. Unfortunately I have to give a bad review here for once and that was definitely the last time I ate here.

My visit to the Bauerntanz was a complete hit! The restaurant was lovingly decorated for Christmas, which immediately created a cozy atmosphere. The veal schnitzel with fried potatoes was simply top. tender, perfectly seasoned and super tasty. Service was also very courteous and friendly

Mein Besuch im Bauerntanz war ein Volltreffer! Das Lokal war schon liebevoll und weihnachtlich dekoriert, was direkt für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre gesorgt hat. Das Kalbsschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln war einfach top- zart, perfekt gewürzt und super lecker. Auch der Service war klasse. Man hat sich einfach wohlgefühlt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und komme bestimmt wieder!

Had cheese spaetzle. The spaetzle were neither homemade nor was there nearly enough cheese on them. The salad was so tiny with hardly any dressing that it would have been better to leave it out. Price: 15.50 Strangely enough, the spaetzle at the next table looked completely different and homemade from the meat dishes. I have this one I've had a good meal in the restaurant before and that's why I'm even more disappointed.

The Bauerntanz rightly benefits from being the oldest inn in Augsburg: the ambience is harmonious, rustic, and the service is very attentive. The quality of the food is good, but you shouldn't be too hungry 😉

The holiday soup was cold, the Jägerschnitzel was anything but tender, the spaetzle was dry, the Viennese style schnitzel was raw inside. Other dishes such as the dumpling salad were also delicious, but unfortunately there was too much to complain about. When we pointed out the raw schnitzel to the waiter, there was not a word of apology or regret. We were given the feeling that we were to blame for the poor preparation. The desire to pay €300 with a credit card was strangely ridiculed without giving a reason for it. It's freezing cold right into the farthest corners when the door opens. Maybe you should invest in a vestibule. Overall, that's just not enough to keep you coming back. The high prices are only justified by the location.

What happened there? We have eaten there many times, always very tasty, fresh and tasty. Today it was exactly the opposite, it tasted like yesterday's food that was warmed up in the microwave and then it wasn't even warm. Schnitzel with fried potatoes, schnitzel ok but musty hard potatoes. Sauerbraten, hard crust, with red cabbage completely boiled into porridge, and old fried potatoes for which I paid 1.60 extra because I didn't want dumplings. The 1 star is for the service, which couldn't be better, top. For these prices I would like to get up from the table full and satisfied. This time it was nothing. Will there be a next time? I don't think so.

We had made a reservation at 6 p.m. but couldn't get in because the table was still occupied by the previous guests. Here I recommend specifying a time window when making the reservation. The red cabbage in my food was cold. The waiters were stressed. Overall, not a very nice evening.

We made a reservation for 8 people at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, the previous guests were still at our table and had to be more or less complimented out. The staff was stressed and not friendly. The red cabbage was cold in two meals. The waiter acknowledged this without reacting. Where the good reviews come from is a mystery to me. The organization needs to be rethought and a time slot should be given when making the reservation. This is also common in other restaurants.

I'm always wondering whether you always have to give full marks.... I know the restaurant from my childhood and haven't been there for ages. But we visited last Sunday and were very impressed by the food and the friendliness of the service. I had the Mozart platter and my wife had the holiday soup and roast pork. Everything was tasty and plentiful. So we can recommend it and will come again because I really want to try the Kässpatzen. and that won't take another 50 years...

A really nice inn and the service was good too. But I guess I was unlucky with the food. The festive soup was very spicy (Maggi?) and the sour Lüngerl from the daily menu was far too vinegary and sour for me. I don't know it that way. I was only able to eat half of the Lüngerl. When I served it, the waitress didn't even ask me if it was tasty...

The food was an absolute disaster and that's putting it harmlessly. The Viennese style schnitzel was over 1cm thick, not seasoned at all and the quality of the meat was seriously questionable. The potato salad was hard because it wasn't cooked long enough. The roast pork here is served lukewarm and with super dry dumplings. The meat is as tender as a tire. All in all just super mad. We let half go back even though we were really hungry.
