Riegele WirtsHaus in Augsburg

We had a reservation, but unfortunately, it didn't reach the restaurant. We don't know what the problem was, and they couldn't tell us either. We came from Dortmund and were looking forward to a nice evening. The restaurant was full, so we had to leave. It's a shame; it was great last time!

I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday here and had reserved a table three months in advance, specifying that I wanted a quiet table. Upon arrival, we were more than disappointed: six screaming children, a father changing his child's diaper at the table (which was beyond disgusting), and complete chaos among the staff. The food was a disaster; we had Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) that were lukewarm and a Wiener Schnitzel that was supposed to be one. This birthday was a total flop for us, hence the low star rating.

Too expensive! Too loud!! Too slow!! Food too cold!!! Portions too small!!!

One should reconsider the price-performance ratio! The pork roast I was served wasn't crispy at all, but rather rubbery and very greasy. That's not what quality looks like. The dumplings were tiny. Never again. This isn't good advertising.

We were there for dinner in a large group – the drink selection and service were very good. Unfortunately, ordering the food took an incredibly long time. I have no idea why drinks and food are handled completely separately – but the quality of the food more than made up for it. It just takes a while!

That was awful. I ordered the vegan curry as my main course, which consisted of 4 tablespoons of cooked rice and about 6 tablespoons of sauce. An absolutely tiny portion for a hefty €14.20. I mentioned this directly when they cleared the table, but unfortunately, I wasn't offered a refill, coffee, or anything similar, as is customary in a good restaurant. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.

A nice Bavarian Brewery Pup, close to the Tram line 6, not far from the Hauptbahnhof. The Brewery is at the same location, but not in the same house. Had a tasty good 'Zwiebelrostbraten' - Roast beef with onions (-Hey, sounds better in French, Rôti de boeuf aux oignons. Am I right?) As my first beer here, I started with 'Comerzienrat Riegele privat'. A hoppier Helles, delicious. Then a Bavaria Ale, - a dry Ale with a Bitter flavor (of a Sourbeer). A good choice! Then ordered a botteld 'Amaris 50',thought it's a IPA, but was dry Pils with higher bitterness, liked it. Finally got a IPA. 'Simco 3'. Good, but for me not a highlight. Dry, decent flavor, good for finishing the day with another one. Finally, ask for a Brewery - Tour. They show all - from the roof to the ice cold cellar. A very informative tour. If early enough you can book the Tour with special Bavarian food.

A great brewery, and the portions were just right for us women. We had a lovely evening. Everything just felt a bit rushed. The food arrived very soon after we ordered and wasn't particularly hot. The Kellerbier (cellar beer) was delicious, and the cranberry cocktail was also very good.

Even though we were only there for two beers and a toddler, it was lovely. Great play area and great beer 🍻

Nice place, but the service was overwhelmed and it took way too long to get a beer. The food, on the other hand, arrived quickly and was good. Next time I might do a guided tour with a snack.

First, we waited about 20 minutes before we were even allowed to order, then, for whatever reason, we couldn't order the food right away. So, we had to wait another 20 minutes before we were allowed to order our food. I had cheese spaetzle, and firstly, the portion wasn't that big, and secondly, it wasn't particularly good. Cheese spaetzle in Swabia is different; the ones here were dry, with overcooked fried onions, and they simply didn't serve the small side salad. We only received a full €2 off when we pointed it out; otherwise, they would have simply ignored it. The ambiance is quite cool, but I wouldn't go there again; there are much better restaurants in Augsburg.

Honestly, it couldn't be better for a family get-together, with six children under 10, and the rest spread out among those over 30 and over 60. The service, seating, and hospitality were top-notch. Of course, depending on your taste, there could be a few things that could be improved... but "de gustibus non est disputandum" (de gustibus non est disputandum). The 100% represents the harmonious five-pronged balance of location | seating | child-friendliness | cuisine | service at the Riegele Wirtshaus. Thank you!

I visited the Riegele WirtsHaus and can highly recommend it. I drank a couple of pints of Comerzienrat Riegele Privat beer and ate a pork roast with potato dumplings. The beer is excellent, and so is the pork roast with potato dumplings. The prices are reasonable and not overpriced. It was quite busy, as it was Saturday afternoon and there was a Bundesliga match on that day. Despite it being really busy that day, I was immediately offered a private seat. So, if you come alone, you can always find a seat at the Riegele WirtsHaus. The service was very friendly, courteous, and cheerful. You do need to allow yourself a bit of time, as the waiters were very busy. It does take a few minutes to get your beer, but that's normal with such a large crowd. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. I would 100% recommend the Riegele WirtsHaus. I would gladly go back.

The Riegele is one of the best breweries in and around Augsburg. The beers are delicious and award-winning. The food is home-style and delicious. The ambiance is very pleasant, with its wood and hall flair.

The traditional Riegele Brewery is a brewery with a passion for craftsmanship. The brewery tour is interesting and demonstrates that the brewery is a family business. The food is delicious, and you can sample the beers, which you can take home from the shop. Everyone here is very attentive and friendly and supports the brewery. Excellent!

Got off a long train and need a beer and food, spot is super close to the station. We were told all tables were reserved in an hour but we told them we'd be there 30-45 min and they kindly sat us. Was very pleasantly surprised to see Simcoe and Mosaic hops on the beer menu--I asked for the closest thing they had to a hazy (Bayerisch Ale I believe), it was delicious. I asked them about any vegan options for food, one already indicated on the menu and they also offered a salad. Not many vegan options but still a very communal feeling place. Would go back next time I'm Augsburg!

There is Wi-Fi, the atmosphere is great in the morning, the food is delicious, and you can come here often.

All in all, good, homely fare, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere in the fireplace room. The only sad thing is that the accessible restroom, while modern and very nice, was outside, all the way around the building, even though a doorway from the souvenir shop was already built in. For people with disabilities, it was a real ordeal. Only after asking and being shown an easier route by the second server were we shown an easier route. However, it's still not barrier-free and not accessible for wheelchair users (the regular restroom is in the basement). In conclusion, locking is fine, but only for healthy people.

I really enjoyed it. I got a nice seat by the window with a view of the trains. The beer was delicious, the food too, and the price-performance ratio was good. I found the negative reviews about the price-performance ratio absurd. I'm from East Germany and found it cheap. And anyone who seriously expects to get an XXL portion for €12 has a problem. Maybe they should be honest with themselves and the world and just order two meals. In other words: I thought the portion sizes were great!

Very good food, nicely decorated. Outside, the trains pass by the station, but the noise isn't as loud as expected.

I don't even know where to begin... Waiting 20 minutes for your first beer in a brewery should say it all. As a guest, you were gloriously ignored... Only thanks to the dedicated manager of the day did we get a drink and were allowed to order our food. The food arrived after exactly 5 minutes. Can you call that freshly prepared? The knuckle of pork was horrible... no crust - tough... and the dumplings were like a rubber ball. And the second beer took another 20 minutes... We then treated ourselves to dessert, schnapps, and coffee at the hotel. Despite the great atmosphere, it was unfortunately nothing - the service and food were abysmal!

This pub is a great place to visit. We spontaneously went there after the cinema. Even though it was packed, we still managed to get a nice seat.

A typical pub; the food was good and the beer delicious. Since you have to get everything yourself, there's no service. We were able to sit outside, which was very nice.

The beer is very good and they have a nice beer garden in summer. Food is very overpriced and poor quality. The servers are always very overwhelmed and seem to not be very professional. It's ok to go for a drink but don't waste your money on the food.

Unfortunately, there are only two vegan dishes left. Everything else is nothing you couldn't get elsewhere. The place is nice.

We were there with four people on a weekend. The service was very friendly. The waiter was always friendly and responsive to the requests and questions of a difficult guest and remained calm. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The prices were perfectly reasonable.

A must-see in Augsburg. They've set up the area to resemble legendary German breweries. They also have many types of beer, all delicious. Dinner was also delicious. If you're going to this city, give it a try. 10/10

Both the beer garden and the inn are very pleasant places to sit, and the prices are absolutely fair. The food in the beer garden could be a bit better, but the inn is all the more perfect. We can especially recommend the sun terrace – it's a wonderful place to sit.

Today, I went there with my family for dinner for the first time in about six months. They now have a new menu with adjusted prices. The burger has been removed from the menu entirely, and the portion sizes have been significantly reduced. I understand that prices need to be adjusted, but when I go out to eat, I expect to be full. Almost everyone in the family could have eaten another portion. For me, the value for money is a disgrace. This will be my last visit there. I don't accept the argument of high-quality ingredients when prices are increased and portion sizes are reduced at the same time. You get a rip-off, as is often the trend in supermarkets these days.

Classic brewery, good food at reasonable prices, very fast service and enough space for everyone, inside and outside

Nice ambiance, but that's about it, unfortunately. The food is almost exclusively frozen. My grandma would have turned in her grave over the Maultaschen. They were definitely not homemade and very dry. The schnitzel is much too small and, both in appearance and taste, reminds me of a rest stop. The value for money is simply not right. The ambiance promises good, home-style brewery fare, but you'll be very disappointed. Sorry, but we won't be going there again.

The employees aren't allowed to try their own food, but they still have to pay – on top of an already meager wage. And when the boss then inspects the food without washing her hands or wearing gloves, all you can say is: a very special experience..."

We ate here with the whole family, and unfortunately, the food was consistently bland and dry. The service forgot our orders more than once, and we had to wave repeatedly to pay. The atmosphere is relatively dark and it was very loud.

Today, three women and three men ate at Riegele Wirtshaus. The price/performance ratio is something to think about. Four people would have had to order another portion to leave the restaurant feeling full. We had one crusted roast, Wiener Schnitzel, a trio of dumplings, and a knuckle of pork. If the Wiener Schnitzel had been offered with fries and potato salad with cucumber, or simply a larger portion of salad, the price would have been okay. Or the Wiener Schnitzel with fries would have included more fries 👍 but as it was, we really considered ordering the same portion again. The Kaiserschmarrn at 12 euros was simply expensive for dessert. The dumplings were also way too small. Maybe we're spoiled from the countryside where you still get a proper portion 🤷‍♂️ Why isn't the burger available anymore? It was absolutely delicious last time. The food tasted great, but the portions were too small. Everyone simply experiences it differently, so please form your own opinion. My daughter, who lives in Augsburg, recommended it to us; she says they were full last time, too. But they also had burgers and three kinds of meat, and a larger selection. Now I'm thinking about the little coleslaw, which was just dry and a bit salty. I didn't taste any vinegar, and it's also way too expensive.

A beautiful and interesting place, but unfortunately, the service is very, very poor! It's a shame. We came for lunch every day with nine people, but since we have to work in the afternoon, we can't wait more than half an hour every day until we can finally order drinks and then our food. And if you dare to say something to the waitress, you'll be "punished" with even longer waits. This means losing good customers, because we wanted to come back for dinner every day next week, but unfortunately, we no longer have the time to do so! What a shame!

The beer tour is really nice and totally recommended! Very charming place! Excellent tour plus beer tasting! Very good convenient location at the main train station of Augsburg. No driving necessary. Food in the restaurant needs a lot of improvement; definitely quality price do not match. If you park nearby you can get discount when you dine in.

The food is rather mediocre, unfortunately. My roast was half fat, and the other half was incredibly tough...a shame.

You're simply fantastic and keep going, with so much joy in your guests, which you convey and express 😉

We were there about four weeks ago. The service was top-notch, as was the ambiance inside. Unfortunately, the terrace is right next to the train tracks. But with the noise level, you hardly notice it. The food...well, let's just say it's edible! But a second visit would have to be very carefully considered. The cheese spaetzle was absolutely dry, and the cheese was more like industrial cheese than freshly grated. My companion had beef patties. His face showed a different kind of enthusiasm. The third dish, with rösti...you look at the rösti and see it's frozen. Freshness is much better for these prices! The parking garage is relatively cheap, but you shouldn't necessarily arrive in a 5-meter-long sedan, otherwise you'll end up having to crank the car 23 times, drive around a pole, or rip off the front bumper.

I had Kässpatzen (cheese spaetzle). They were delicious, and they came with a good salad and amazing dressing. A good portion for €12.90. And of course, delicious beer, a great selection, and everything was delicious from Riegele. I'm thrilled.

A lovely beer garden under large shady trees. The food isn't great, and the portions are small and expensive. It's understandable that locals from Augsburg bring their own food. The staff is very friendly. Riegele beer is available if you like it. The non-alcoholic shandy was very good.

We received a somewhat unfriendly welcome; a sign at the entrance or reception would have helped us and the other guests. Certain types of beer weren't poured enough. The food is good.

Delicious food and perfect beer!

Nothing to complain about about the food and beer, but the service is a shame. The waiters clearly don't enjoy serving foreigners; despite the menu being in English, they don't know the names of the dishes in English, and they even pretend not to understand. 😅 Unlike the terrible waiters, the girl at the shop speaks several languages and was really willing to help my companion, who only speaks Italian. It's a shame, I really wanted to visit a brewery that makes one of the best beers I've ever tasted. I'll drink it in Italy!

Google asked me if I can recommend this place, and I can only say YES from the bottom of my heart! The ambiance, service, value for money, and quality of the beer and food are all fantastic! Despite my initial fear that the proximity to the train station would mean a loud crowd that might take some getting used to, we can give the all-clear: It's quiet and great people here. I loved the food, delicious and beautifully presented. The location, charming but not in the way of the station, is perfect. At sunset, the atmosphere is unbeatable: relaxed, pleasant, and full of good vibes.

It started out quite well. The gentleman who seated us was incredibly nice, but from then on, things went rapidly downhill. The waiters clearly had no desire to work and were more concerned with themselves or each other. The food was okay; we had a fairly wide selection, from salad and pork knuckle to cheese spaetzle, Maultaschen, and sausage salad. The best part was the knuckle; everything else lacked seasoning, and the sausage salad and salad were very, very bland. The Maultaschen would have actually been very tasty, but they could have made them more fat-swimming, and the vegetables were also okay—pretty dead and tasteless. The ambiance is very nice, but that only helps so much. It's a shame, we always enjoyed going there.

The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. We had a reservation and were given a table advertised as shady, which quickly turned into a sunbed. Intentional or disinterested? ... Paying the bill freed our parking ticket. However, we didn't jump up immediately; instead, we calmly finished our drinks and then walked to the car. Since my aunt has severe mobility restrictions, this took quite a while. As a result, we were told at the barrier that we had exceeded the time limit and had to pay an additional fee. Pressing the service button didn't help either, so we paid the euro, which didn't hurt us much, but was a real cheek. A very strange philosophy! What a shame.

Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. We were actually really looking forward to it, but aside from the good beer and the delicious truffle fries, the food wasn't convincing. Vegetarians, in particular, are out of place here. Both the cheese spaetzle and the truffle fries, which are labeled as vegetarian, are made with cheese made from animal rennet. This makes the dishes non-vegetarian. When asked, the waitress didn't seem entirely sure whether they contained "animal rennet," which didn't help matters. Other aspects were also disappointing: The iced tea was basically just lemon water, the dishes overall seemed more like they were machine-made, and the value for money was completely out of this world. In addition, our waitress was very unfriendly. The only bright spot, as already mentioned, was the delicious truffle fries and the beer. For this reason, I would personally recommend the beer garden rather than the pub. Another negative point was the bill: They didn't issue a proper bill, but instead simply stated "No Bill," which left us very suspicious. All in all, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant and will not visit it again.

Good traditional Bavarian food. The portions could be bigger though. But the taste and presentation are great. If you like Rigele beer, It isnthe place to visit. They also offer all the special beers from Rigele. I would guess that they offer atleast 10 different beers. The desserts are very good, but than again the Kaiser Schmarn Portion should be bigger. A solid choice if you want to try the local brewery in Augsburg.

Beautiful decor and delicious food

The atmosphere in the restaurant is absolutely fine, nothing to criticize. The service is also perfectly fine, it just takes quite a while to order, and it also takes a while to pay before the server arrives. But the price-performance ratio is completely bad; the food is far too expensive, and you simply get nothing for it. I got a typical schnitzel with potato salad. The schnitzel was OK, but the potato salad was bad, typical store-bought potato salad, and you're never full after a portion like that. You pay almost €30 only to have to eat something again afterward because you were hungry and the portions were too small. Experience makes perfect, as they say, but it's a complete waste of money. I'd rather cook it myself.

Great food and great service. The ambiance is modern, but you can still sense the rustic Bavarian feel. Prices are also reasonable, and you don't feel ripped off, which is difficult these days.

In my opinion, that's at most a child's portion and definitely not a main course for an adult. If you want to be full here, you'll have to order a second main course. I had a similar experience there with the roast pork. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. Everyone can form their own opinion, but I won't be going there again.

Nice ambiance, seating only moderately comfortable. Service was okay, waitresses friendly, unfortunately, parts of our order weren't brought. The food arrived after 5 minutes, but for the price, it was really only mediocre. The Maultaschen had a rubbery consistency and were completely tasteless. The schnitzel was poorly prepared, and the fries were soggy. Everything smelled and tasted heavily of convenience foods that were heated up for mass production. All in all, rather disappointing; we won't be coming here again for dinner.

Op zaterdagavond was er alleen nog plek voor mij aan de bar. Prima maar je kunt je benen niet kwijt waardoor je niet makkelijk kunt zitten en eten Menu keuze is prima, bediening vriendelijk maar wat een herrie met krijsende kinderen en blaffende honden.

Terrible service, orders are either not brought to the table or are incomplete. The waiters are very unfriendly. The food is average but OK. The waitresses are visually friendly.
