The hipster brewery inn in Augsburg. Objectively, everything was fine, but somehow it was all too new, cool, and chic for me. But that's a matter of taste, of course.

Good atmosphere, always nice to be there.

Excellent brewery, well furnished, very well managed, with courteous and competent staff. The beer is of course very good and offered in numerous varieties.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food doesn't match the actually nice ambience. Price for a small Kaiserschmarrn with 6 or 7 pieces for €11.90 and not in a pan as stated, but on a high plate. The side salad was nice and the sauce for the spaetzle was rather so-so. It's a shame actually.

Reservation in advance is recommended. Food was good and tasty. Service very nice and accommodating. We can recommend it with a clear conscience.

A brewery with traditional and modern, many beers. A must to go past there.

Traditional yet modern brewery industry. Next time we will definitely take a brewery tour. Food was down-to-earth and delicious.

There were several people, beer and cyclists are delicious but the food still has potential. Unfortunately the starter wasn't served, the kitchen apparently couldn't manage that, food came very quickly, meat patties were unfortunately lukewarm, schnitzel had more breading than meat. Service was okay, seemed a bit annoyed. Too bad.

The fresh horseradish with the smoked trout was dry and absolutely tasteless. The bread had to be requested separately, the napkins were missing and had to be requested, the meat loaf was raw inside, the mustard was missing after the complaint and had to be requested separately..... Disappointing across the board.

In any case. Very cozy. Price-performance is excellent. Peak opening hours (until midnight). Direct access from the main station. The only drawback: often overcrowded. You often can't find a place spontaneously

Very tasty and incredibly fast and very friendly service. The staff were also very friendly and helpful on the phone!

Ordered onion roast on April 13th, 2025, according to the menu it was supposed to be from the sirloin. Unfortunately it was made from a cheap piece of beef and therefore not as tender as loin. The taste of the food was good, but something like that shouldn't happen where the chef mixes up the pieces of meat.

Leastiest service I've ever seen

Unfortunately we were at the Riegele Wirtshaus for the first and last time today. Service is a complete disaster. When I asked about lactose, I was told I was asking.... I didn't get an answer anymore. Spezi was non-carbonated. Just under 24 euros for a Wiener Schnitzel with fries. I would be willing to pay at any time, but not for dry meat and soft fries. Food came to the table and the lady simply gave the plate to some guest instead of asking. To which I replied: the plate is mine, thank you. (Very polite) The waitress probably didn't think it was great to walk around the table (the table was really very big) and said very cheekily and he doesn't get anything... What kind of answer is that???? I'm sorry but this is really not okay. I understand that it's difficult to find good employees these days, but the fact that I, as a host, allow my guests to be treated like this is bottomless. Never again. Hopefully the operator will read this and change things so that no other guest has to experience this.

The roast pork wasn't my cup of tea. The beers were excellent. The ambiance is quaint and rustic. The noise level was quite high, as the place was busy. Parking is available.

I visited the Riegele Wirtshaus today and was absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive. But the highlight of the evening was definitely the dark Bocksbier! It was rich and complex, with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Overall, I can only recommend Wirtshaus Riegele - it is a must for every beer lover and for everyone who is looking for a cozy atmosphere. I will definitely come again!

Das Essen ist schwäbisch-bayerisch, die Karte liest sich toll, aber geschmacklich ist alles eher durchschnittlich. Wir waren etwas enttäuscht. Zudem sind wirklich überall, sogar in den Toiletten, Sprüche, die Alkohol bzw BIER total verherrlichen. Für eine Brauerei zwar verständlich, aber in der heutigen Zeit, wo Alkohol zunehmend als gesundheitlich gefährdend eingestuft wird, es viele alkoholkranke Menschen gibt und man Kindern auch ein Vorbild sein möchte, nicht zeitgemäß. Wir werden nicht noch einmal hingehen.

The food used to be good and tasty. But now it's a disaster. The food doesn't taste good and the portions are tiny for the money. The roast pork was really raw and you couldn't even cut it because it was such a thick slice and still raw; it had a strange taste. The cheese spaetzle aren't like it used to be either. Either the chef has changed or they're skimping on ingredients. The drinks were good and so was the beer, but there's nothing more to say.

When it came to the bill, we were overcharged for one portion of fries. The situation was so clear that one has to assume it was intentional. This doesn't work at all in a restaurant with a great atmosphere.

Always worth a trip! I can particularly recommend a 9-beer crate with different types of beer! It's a really great place to try out all the different varieties and maybe discover your new favorite beer. Add a pretzel, sweet mustard and white sausages and the day is yours! By the way, it's also fun in the toilet and in the bar! There are beer-related sayings and quotes on the walls everywhere. Feel free to take a few minutes to explore everything :)

Good meeting place in Augsburg, friendly atmosphere. Often all tables are reserved! The beer is delicious!

Delicious food... overwhelmed staff but very friendly... ambience extra great... can be recommended.

The ambiance is debatable. We found it cozy. It might be a bit cramped here and there, but with all the friendly guests, it's hardly worth mentioning. Unfriendly guests don't go there either!

It started out quite well. The lady who showed us to our tables was incredibly nice, but then things went downhill. The waitress was clearly not in the mood and was quite rude. The food was okay; we had a fairly wide selection, from roasts to burgers, dumplings, cheese spaetzle, and onion roast beef. The best part was the burger; everything else was lacking seasoning. The fried potatoes would have been delicious, but they could have made them more fried. The ambiance is very nice, but that only helps so much.

The food was impeccable and plentiful. The service was very friendly and good, with no wait time. The ambiance was very tasteful. Definitely worth a visit or two if you're visiting Augsburg.

Great place. Excellent food and very friendly staff. The noise can be tiring when it's very busy. Otherwise, the tour of the factory is highly recommended. And don't forget the incredibly beautiful beer garden in the summer!

I was very impressed, the location is very cozy and authentic. Definitely invites you to linger! The food was also great! I tried the burger and the roast and both definitely impressed me. The service was of course totally attentive, so that all of our wishes were fulfilled quickly :) We would be happy to come back!

We sat at the bar because there were Christmas parties going on throughout the house. It was so fun and entertaining because the waiters were all very friendly.

Excellent food, very good atmosphere but regarding the Service I am a little mixed. Maybe because I come from Bremen, but I found the waitress cold, bordering on rude. But otherwise everything is on top.

On Saturday we were there after the FC Augsburg home game. A reservation was definitely necessary. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food, both main course and dessert, were perfect. The look of the economy was really nice. Definitely deserves the 5 stars.

One of the best breweries in Bavaria. An absolute MUST on a city trip to Augsburg. The beer garden, which is usually open from the end of April, is also highly recommended, especially for families. There is a larger play area waiting for the children, which can be easily observed from the table 😉

The food was delicious but unfortunately we had a plastic piece in the citizen. The house responded great and we didn't have to pay for a dish. But it's a shame we would have otherwise given a full 5 points.

Very nice brewery restaurant with a large selection of different beers and good food. We particularly liked the terrace when the sun was shining. Small downer: The “brewing specialties”, especially the Simcoe 3, have lost a lot of quality. I don't get it in my glass anymore.

The location is very cozy, the service is super nice and you feel like you're in good hands. Hence the 4 stars. But the food wasn't that convincing. My friend's käspätzle were super dry and my meat wasn't medium rare but English even after giving it back, it still wasn't ok. On the whole, going out for a drink is fine, but you should still think about what to eat.

The Riegele, an old town brewery, which was established in 1386 has been a great historical find for us. Charming brewery with quirky sayings on the walls. Huge pub style windows and doors to lighten the mood and observe the occasional train roll by. If you want traditional Bavarian food and outstanding Bavarian beer this is your place in the heart of Augsburg across from the main train station. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The menus are both in German and English which greatly reduces the anxiety level when picking out the perfect selection. I recommend trying the Schweinebraten with brat Kartoffeln (Roasted pork with fried potatoes).The gravy is full of savory flavor and the cut of pork is tender with just the right amount of fat. We frequently visit Augsburg and this is a nonnegotiable stop!

Very popular place. Reservations are recommended in the evenings - even during the week. Stylishly furnished, friendly, approachable staff. The menu that I had in front of me was quite clear in terms of the dishes. Nevertheless, I was able to find something for myself. The fried pike perch with potatoes from the daily menu was very good. Maybe I should have ordered a side salad with it. Would have fit well. Without the salad, the dish is quite hearty as it is fried in butter or ghee. A soup with coconut milk, which I had, would have been better at home, but it was OK.

Nice inn, but very, very loud. Service nice and quick. Zander fillet with herb potatoes is a rather dry affair. Without vegetables or salad. The little blob of curd didn't rip it out. Potatoes dry and tough. Zander very dry.

Not recommended! Onion roast, which was supposed to come medium, was ultra rare. Plus no good meat and spaetzle from the bag that was cooked in dumpling water. Around €30 for that is a disgrace

Portions are very small, but the price is rather high. Service didn't come for a long time, so we decided to consume the drinks in another restaurant. Too bad the ambience is good! Update: second attempt This time I ate the “Batsch... Burger”. The taste is good, unfortunately the quantity is very small, you could easily eat two and for almost 20€...

Horribly bad food! Meat ordered medium rare and served raw. After the complaint, there were suddenly other side dishes on the plates... Probably the person sitting next to me also complained. Dumplings watery and mushy. When you cook red cabbage, you put the spices in a spice bag so you don't chew on the cloves all the time. The food on offer is far too expensive for the cuisine on offer! Not recommended with food, the beer was very good and served quickly.

Delicious food and a great selection of beer, but unfortunately there were quite long waiting times even during the stay. Unfortunately, it feels longer to wait, especially with an empty glass, but it's still a recommendation if you have the time.

Everything is very tasty and the ambience is great. The service is excellent. The food arrived quickly and almost at the same time for a group of over 40 people. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately I have to give a bad review of the food. I love Riegele's beer, it's top quality, and the brewery tour is awesome! But what I was served as Gröstl today was simply bad. Of course Gröstl is leftover food, but when it's well roasted, hence the name, it can be very tasty. But here the ingredients were just thrown together with no roasted aroma, no love, no fresh parsley or chives, the consistency of the potato dumplings was really disgusting, the taste of the sauce was just bitter, and you had the feeling of eating leftovers. Plus it wasn't even lukewarm. No, that wasn't nice, but I would still like to come back and try more dishes, I love Riegele too much for that. The ambience and service were great, thank you very much!

Great traditional brewery, in a direct location to the main station. All the finest beers, a good hand from the brewery! Service top very attentive. The dishes were good, the beer bratl was very fatty, the bread dumplings had a strange consistency, but the grill plate was delicious, apart from the watery corn on the cob. The onion roast had the desired cooking point and the meat was tender. Overall, a recommendable location with a cool flair. See toilets…. ;-)

Went here for dinner at an FCA Bundesliga home game. The place was very busy, the waitresses were totally overloaded but tried very hard. Food was lukewarm to cold and tasted, well.

A tavern for the man/woman of good taste. The picturesque design of the establishment, stimulating sayings and the tempting tap stocked with a variety of beers invite you to linger. Personal highlights were not only the diverse range of dishes, but also the variation and seasonal culinary highlights such as the Tyrolean venison goulash (which I will attach below). The beer tasting was also very varied - which I can recommend. The only drawback for me was the slightly inexperienced table service, which was then compensated for by the service with another, more experienced colleague. In conclusion, I rate this inn as a very worthwhile and completely reasonable stay, which brings enjoyment and satiety for young and old.

We were there to play cards and decided to eat something too. We ordered burgers and dumplings. The dumplings were dry, the burger patty was obviously frozen and so were the fries. I definitely cannot recommend the inn for eating. However, two stars would not be enough because the staff is friendly and the atmosphere and drinks are good.

The tavern soup was very tasty, which can't be said about the main course. Unfortunately, the brewer's pan was only mediocre. The dumplings were doughy, which a housewife can do better than the chef at this place. The meat was good and you could leave the cabbage alone

We decide to make a stop in Riegele as a stopover between Colmar and Monaco. Historic brewery with recently renovated restaurant. Exceptional beer (personally sensational Dunkel and Keller) and equally tasty food. Special mention for the Goulash: excellent and served with a presentation more of a restaurant than a brewery. A stop in the adjoining beer shop is almost obligatory. I also recommend a tour of the toilets: truly original

We went there for dinner on Saturday evening. We made a reservation at very short notice and luckily got a table. The food was really delicious, the salad dressing was particularly delicious🤩 The service was very friendly and accommodating. Very comfortably furnished. What we also noticed positively was the great play area, something you rarely find in restaurants. We'll definitely be back.

Friendly service. Nice ambience. Were there for Christmas.. But!! Pumpkin cream soup a disaster. Goose breast and duck too dry. Cold red cabbage had to be warmed. Onion roast was great! Children's portions too. But in terms of taste, the traditional Christmas dishes were simply a total failure. We won't come anymore

We were a larger group there. The food was really tasty and the portion size was okay. BUT the service was really poor or even non-existent. Dishes were served so differently that some were already finished, while the last ones had nothing to eat. Dessert was not brought after ordering twice (everyone had ordered something), only after asking again after 1 hour. Drinks were completely forgotten several times or it took 40 minutes for them to arrive. It's a shame, the restaurant itself is very nice. But the staff is completely overwhelmed.

We went there twice on our short vacation. The first time without a reservation, the second time with. Very nice atmosphere, a play area for the children and no one is bothered if it is louder there. The food is pretty tasty and there is also a happy hour there, which my husband happily took advantage of after Keller brought it to his attention. Even with a stroller there is no problem finding a space there. All the wait staff were very friendly and the selection of food was very good and special requests were also taken into account. The cheese spaetzle and also the fried potatoes were great. My husband had the brawn and was very impressed with it too

The food was partly very good (liver), but mostly unfortunately underwhelming (dry, tough goose, red cabbage and savoy cabbage, sweet and sour mush...). The service was friendly and well organized. The beer is exceptionally good.

The location right next to Augsburg main station makes the inn easily accessible, and the spacious outdoor terrace invites you to linger when the weather is good. For anyone who wants to experience Bavarian hospitality in a unique setting, the Riegele Wirtshaus is definitely worth a visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! 5 out of 5 stars.
