Riegele WirtsHaus in Augsburg

Today, three women and three men ate at Riegele Wirtshaus. The price/performance ratio is something to think about. Four people would have had to order another portion to leave the restaurant feeling full. We had one crusted roast, Wiener Schnitzel, a trio of dumplings, and a knuckle of pork. If the Wiener Schnitzel had been offered with fries and potato salad with cucumber, or simply a larger portion of salad, the price would have been okay. Or the Wiener Schnitzel with fries would have included more fries 👍 but as it was, we really considered ordering the same portion again. The Kaiserschmarrn at 12 euros was simply expensive for dessert. The dumplings were also way too small. Maybe we're spoiled from the countryside where you still get a proper portion 🤷‍♂️ Why isn't the burger available anymore? It was absolutely delicious last time. The food tasted great, but the portions were too small. Everyone simply experiences it differently, so please form your own opinion. My daughter, who lives in Augsburg, recommended it to us; she says they were full last time, too. But they also had burgers and three kinds of meat, and a larger selection. Now I'm thinking about the little coleslaw, which was just dry and a bit salty. I didn't taste any vinegar, and it's also way too expensive.

A beautiful and interesting place, but unfortunately, the service is very, very poor! It's a shame. We came for lunch every day with nine people, but since we have to work in the afternoon, we can't wait more than half an hour every day until we can finally order drinks and then our food. And if you dare to say something to the waitress, you'll be "punished" with even longer waits. This means losing good customers, because we wanted to come back for dinner every day next week, but unfortunately, we no longer have the time to do so! What a shame!

The beer tour is really nice and totally recommended! Very charming place! Excellent tour plus beer tasting! Very good convenient location at the main train station of Augsburg. No driving necessary. Food in the restaurant needs a lot of improvement; definitely quality price do not match. If you park nearby you can get discount when you dine in.

The food is rather mediocre, unfortunately. My roast was half fat, and the other half was incredibly tough...a shame.

The beer garden's location is particularly charming—right next to the train station, regional trains and high-speed trains pass by very close, yet unobtrusively. Friendly service, the beer specialties, and excellent food complement each other perfectly.

You're simply fantastic and keep going, with so much joy in your guests, which you convey and express 😉

We were there about four weeks ago. The service was top-notch, as was the ambiance inside. Unfortunately, the terrace is right next to the train tracks. But with the noise level, you hardly notice it. The food...well, let's just say it's edible! But a second visit would have to be very carefully considered. The cheese spaetzle was absolutely dry, and the cheese was more like industrial cheese than freshly grated. My companion had beef patties. His face showed a different kind of enthusiasm. The third dish, with rösti...you look at the rösti and see it's frozen. Freshness is much better for these prices! The parking garage is relatively cheap, but you shouldn't necessarily arrive in a 5-meter-long sedan, otherwise you'll end up having to crank the car 23 times, drive around a pole, or rip off the front bumper.

A lovely beer garden under large shady trees. The food isn't great, and the portions are small and expensive. It's understandable that locals from Augsburg bring their own food. The staff is very friendly. Riegele beer is available if you like it. The non-alcoholic shandy was very good.

I had Kässpatzen (cheese spaetzle). They were delicious, and they came with a good salad and amazing dressing. A good portion for €12.90. And of course, delicious beer, a great selection, and everything was delicious from Riegele. I'm thrilled.

Best place in the world. Definitely try the cellar beer!

We received a somewhat unfriendly welcome; a sign at the entrance or reception would have helped us and the other guests. Certain types of beer weren't poured enough. The food is good.

Delicious food and perfect beer!

Google asked me if I can recommend this place, and I can only say YES from the bottom of my heart! The ambiance, service, value for money, and quality of the beer and food are all fantastic! Despite my initial fear that the proximity to the train station would mean a loud crowd that might take some getting used to, we can give the all-clear: It's quiet and great people here. If you don't come here, it's your own fault. Props to Benny and Fatima!! 👌

Nothing to complain about about the food and beer, but the service is a shame. The waiters clearly don't enjoy serving foreigners; despite the menu being in English, they don't know the names of the dishes in English, and they even pretend not to understand. 😅 Unlike the terrible waiters, the girl at the shop speaks several languages and was really willing to help my companion, who only speaks Italian. It's a shame, I really wanted to visit a brewery that makes one of the best beers I've ever tasted. I'll drink it in Italy!

I loved the food, delicious and beautifully presented. The location, charming but not in the way of the station, is perfect. At sunset, the atmosphere is unbeatable: relaxed, pleasant, and full of good vibes.

It started out quite well. The gentleman who seated us was incredibly nice, but from then on, things went rapidly downhill. The waiters clearly had no desire to work and were more concerned with themselves or each other. The food was okay; we had a fairly wide selection, from salad and pork knuckle to cheese spaetzle, Maultaschen, and sausage salad. The best part was the knuckle; everything else lacked seasoning, and the sausage salad and salad were very, very bland. The Maultaschen would have actually been very tasty, but they could have made them more fat-swimming, and the vegetables were also okay—pretty dead and tasteless. The ambiance is very nice, but that only helps so much. It's a shame, we always enjoyed going there.

The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. We had a reservation and were given a table advertised as shady, which quickly turned into a sunbed. Intentional or disinterested? ... Paying the bill freed our parking ticket. However, we didn't jump up immediately; instead, we calmly finished our drinks and then walked to the car. Since my aunt has severe mobility restrictions, this took quite a while. As a result, we were told at the barrier that we had exceeded the time limit and had to pay an additional fee. Pressing the service button didn't help either, so we paid the euro, which didn't hurt us much, but was a real cheek. A very strange philosophy! What a shame.

Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. We were actually really looking forward to it, but aside from the good beer and the delicious truffle fries, the food wasn't convincing. Vegetarians, in particular, are out of place here. Both the cheese spaetzle and the truffle fries, which are labeled as vegetarian, are made with cheese made from animal rennet. This makes the dishes non-vegetarian. When asked, the waitress didn't seem entirely sure whether they contained "animal rennet," which didn't help matters. Other aspects were also disappointing: The iced tea was basically just lemon water, the dishes overall seemed more like they were machine-made, and the value for money was completely out of this world. In addition, our waitress was very unfriendly. The only bright spot, as already mentioned, was the delicious truffle fries and the beer. For this reason, I would personally recommend the beer garden rather than the pub. Another negative point was the bill: They didn't issue a proper bill, but instead simply stated "No Bill," which left us very suspicious. All in all, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant and will not visit it again.

Good traditional Bavarian food. The portions could be bigger though. But the taste and presentation are great. If you like Rigele beer, It isnthe place to visit. They also offer all the special beers from Rigele. I would guess that they offer atleast 10 different beers. The desserts are very good, but than again the Kaiser Schmarn Portion should be bigger. A solid choice if you want to try the local brewery in Augsburg.

Beautiful decor and delicious food

The atmosphere in the restaurant is absolutely fine, nothing to criticize. The service is also perfectly fine, it just takes quite a while to order, and it also takes a while to pay before the server arrives. But the price-performance ratio is completely bad; the food is far too expensive, and you simply get nothing for it. I got a typical schnitzel with potato salad. The schnitzel was OK, but the potato salad was bad, typical store-bought potato salad, and you're never full after a portion like that. You pay almost €30 only to have to eat something again afterward because you were hungry and the portions were too small. Experience makes perfect, as they say, but it's a complete waste of money. I'd rather cook it myself.

I think the food is okay, with room for improvement!

Great food and great service. The ambiance is modern, but you can still sense the rustic Bavarian feel. Prices are also reasonable, and you don't feel ripped off, which is difficult these days.

I'm disappointed. For dinner, I ordered cheese spaetzle as my main course. The portion shown in the photo arrived – for €12.90! In my opinion, that's at most a child's portion and definitely not a main course for an adult. If you want to be full here, you'll have to order a second main course. I had a similar experience there with the roast pork. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. Everyone can form their own opinion, but I won't be going there again.

Op zaterdagavond was er alleen nog plek voor mij aan de bar. Prima maar je kunt je benen niet kwijt waardoor je niet makkelijk kunt zitten en eten Menu keuze is prima, bediening vriendelijk maar wat een herrie met krijsende kinderen en blaffende honden.

Nice ambiance, seating only moderately comfortable. Service was okay, waitresses friendly, unfortunately, parts of our order weren't brought. The food arrived after 5 minutes, but for the price, it was really only mediocre. The Maultaschen had a rubbery consistency and were completely tasteless. The schnitzel was poorly prepared, and the fries were soggy. Everything smelled and tasted heavily of convenience foods that were heated up for mass production. All in all, rather disappointing; we won't be coming here again for dinner.

Terrible service, orders are either not brought to the table or are incomplete. The waiters are very unfriendly. The food is average but OK. The waitresses are visually friendly.

Highly recommended, a great brewery pub with a good selection of food and drinks. Unfortunately, they're currently out of burgers. Within walking distance of the train station.

Not every beer garden can keep up.😁

We had a reservation and were seated outside. Since the weather was bad, we asked if we could sit inside. This was permitted. However, we then waited over an hour before we could order. For starters, we had one of the Wirtssalat with goat cheese, two of the trout, and one of the falafel salad. There was a hair in the falafel salad, so we were given a new one. The trout and the Wirtssalat were very tasty. For main courses, we had two of the medium-rare onion roast beef with butter spaetzle. Unfortunately, the meat was as tough as rubber. The food overall was very bland. We also had the vegetable Maultaschen, three of the Bauernpfanne with smoked salmon, and the Wiener Schnitzel. With the exception of the schnitzel, the main courses were not impressive, and the portions were very small for the price. A small portion of onion roast beef with sauce and spaetzle for just under €27 was very disappointing. The other dishes were also very meager. For dessert, we had Bavarian cream, Kaiserschmarrn with apple and plum compote, and apple fritters. The dessert was delicious, but the portion was also very meager. The service staff was very friendly, despite a minor mishap where a colleague's food was delivered to the wrong table. However, she received her food immediately. It was a lovely evening overall, but we probably won't be coming back.

It's a very nice brewery with a variety of high-quality beers. They have a slide for kids and it's not a bad price. They only have a menu in German and English.

Und bei einer Rechnung von 230 Euro noch Parkgebühr bezahlen ? Für den Betrag gibt es bessere Restaurants wo Qualität und Preis stimmt.

Nice beer garden right next to the railway line. Delicious beer specialties. The waiter was initially very unfriendly, but his colleagues were able to save him.

A lovely restaurant right next to the train station with a terrace overlooking incoming and outgoing trains. It was an absolute highlight for my children. The food and drinks were good, and the wait was short. Everything seemed clean and well-maintained.

We were a group of 30 people at five tables. One table received cold food 1.5 hours later than the others, after placing three orders. Drinks we ordered were never brought. To top it all off: we were charged full price for cold food and drinks, despite waiting and ordering multiple times.

I got a seat at the bar on Thursday evening. It was very busy, and I didn't have a reservation. I was lucky. A few minutes until the first beer, and just a few more minutes until the delicious meal. I kept an eye on the empty glass. Thank you 👍🏼🍺

Authentic Bavarian establishment with lots of beer choices and great atmosphere. The food was delicious. The server was patient with our odd requests. Family atmosphere. Short walk from the train station. Definitely try it!

Delicious food at reasonable prices, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere await guests here. On a higher level, I could criticize that my pork roast was a bit too dry, as was my wife's pork knuckle, but she found it very good. They could also have been a bit more generous with the gravy. Nevertheless, it was delicious, and of course, there's a large selection of beers from the in-house brewery.

Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service impressed us. Overall, the quality was more reminiscent of a cafeteria than a brewery. The Bavarian cream had a "gritty" consistency, and we complained about it. The response was rather pedantic – we were told this was completely normal. After a brief discussion, another portion was finally brought from the kitchen, which we were asked to try first without, then with, the raspberry sauce. This was apparently intended to prove that the fruit acid was responsible for the curdling. However, in our view, this wasn't convincing. Another point of criticism was the Kaiserschmarrn, which, according to the landlady, is prepared in advance, frozen, and then reheated – supposedly in its own "blast freezer." For a dessert of this type and at a price of €11.90, the taste and quality were disappointing. On the plus side, the Bavarian cream was removed from the bill. The Kaiserschmarrn was reduced in price. We had expected much more and will probably not visit this restaurant again.

A large inn with an outdoor area. Rustic, right next to the train tracks, but still a great place to have a chat. The service was very friendly, and the food was shared among everyone.

Great building and friendly service. However, I had an unfriendly experience with the lady during the "instructions," and the food was unfortunately only mediocre in taste. Furthermore, the portion sizes are very small, and the Kaiserschmarrn, in particular, is a bad joke.

Great location brewery with bar and food

What makes the Riegele WirtsHaus special is its beer: exceptional beers are brewed here, even outside the mainstream. From outstanding award-winning craft beers to classic beers like the wonderful Kellerbier, every beer drinker will find something to their liking here. If you have time, you should definitely take a brewery tour to understand that the Riegele is no ordinary brewery.

You don't need to order beer; it takes so long to get to your table that you'd think it was just being brewed. In any Augustiner, you don't wait longer than two minutes for the next half-liter. My sales were therefore moderate.

Das Restaurant und auch die Terrasse sind modern und gleichzeitig traditionell / Rustikal. Optisch hatte es uns schon einmal sehr angesprochen. Die Servicekraft war schnell und freundlich. Leider wurden unsere Erwartung bzgl. der Getränke und auch dem Essen aber nicht erfüllt. Das Schnitzel war an mehreren Stellen noch nicht durchgebraten und die Käsespätzle sind leider sehr trocken gewesen 🙁

It took about 25 minutes before a waitress finally came to ask what we wanted to drink. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Urige Wirtschaft, in schönem Ambiente mit einem großen Angebot an Bieren. Leider ist auf kulinarischenm Gebiet noch Luft nach oben. Der Schweinsbraten war lauwarm, sehr fettig und die Soße keine große Kochkunst. Das Brotzeitbrett war qualitativ für über 17 Euro nicht sehr hochwertig. Die Bestandteile waren alle Billigprodukte, das Brot trocken. Es hat relativ lange gedauert bis die Getränke kamen, der Service war sehr gechillt. In solch einem Traditionslokal erwarte ich mir auch kulinarisch mehr. Das war leider nur Durchschnitt. Schade

How should I put it? The top dog, and then they don't make a fuss about it. Completely unambitious service. Yes, I'm sorry it's a Saturday, but I haven't experienced anything like this in a long time. Truly bad service. And, quite honestly, a children's play area in a pub, deadly. Screaming children the whole time. We actually wanted to eat here, but this pub doesn't deserve its name. Once and never again!

The best part is the ambiance. The staff was completely overwhelmed by the number of guests, which made everything rather chaotic. And the quality of the food doesn't match the prices. It's a shame. And to only reimburse the restaurant for an hour of parking in their own parking lot for a very large group and a large bill is a disgrace!

I can recommend the Riegele Brauhaus. The only thing that bothers me is the noise when it's full. This restaurant isn't high on our list.

Hello, due to the high demand, you have to order your next drink as soon as you get your first one, otherwise it can be a dry evening. Although the staff always try their best.

The ambiance is really great. The beer is also highly recommended. The service was initially quite quick and friendly. I had the roast pork, unfortunately without a crust, just two thin, tough slices. The dumplings were also rather so-so. The Kaiserschmarrn (for our child) was simply too small for the price, and it arrived about 15 minutes later than our meal.

We had a very good meal; the food was delicious, featuring authentic local dishes. The service was friendly.

The Riegele is a very nice and cozy place. The food is very good, the service is excellent, and the beer is delicious. At this point, I also have to mention the restrooms, which are really nicely designed. I know this is important information.

You can sit right in front of the brewery. There are tables and chairs, but you have to get the beer yourself (from the shop). You pay the regular price per bottle, not the €4.90 you'd pay in a beer garden. You bring the bottles back to get the deposit.

Beautiful ambiance, but extremely loud. In my opinion, soundproofing measures are urgently needed here. The food and service have deteriorated.

The two of us went to eat at the Riegele Wirtshaus. Let's start with the negatives. The food was OK, but nothing more. I had the pork knuckle with dumplings. This good piece could have used a little more time in the oven. It was hard to pull off the bone and was therefore tough. The rind, advertised as "crispy," was unfortunately quite the opposite. A generous helping of cabbage would have also benefited the dish. Now for the positives. The service is super friendly and accommodating. The team was always in a good mood, even during the stressful times. The ambiance is also great. Traditional elements mixed with modern touches. There's nothing to complain about here. And finally, I have to praise the beer. What you're cooking up is truly amazing 😊

Pleasant brewery, delicious food

A very nice brewery restaurant with a large selection of different beers and good food. We especially enjoyed the terrace in the bright sunshine. One small downside: The "brew specialties," especially the Simcoe 3, have lost a lot of their quality. I won't be drinking it anymore.
