We had dinner on the Riegele terrace with a great atmosphere. Everything tasted great and various special requests were catered for. Only the service could be a bit more attentive... Otherwise, highly recommended.

First of all, the most important thing is that the beer tastes good. The ambience and outdoor area were also very nice and the service was friendly and on the ball. Unfortunately the kitchen is in need of improvement, the taste of the food wasn't great, and some portions were small. We had to return a meal, it was accepted without any problems and the price was also corrected. But if the kitchen is remodeled starting in September, maybe things will get better.

Food was okay (lunch special 2 meat patties and potato salad), two lettuce leaves were no longer good, but otherwise okay. It's not so comfortable to sit on the benches on the platform, all other areas were still closed (at lunchtime). Therefore only 3* for ambience.

Great event catering. We were on a beer flight with colleagues. It was a lot of fun and even exceeded my expectations. Climbing the tower is strenuous, but you are rewarded with a great view over Augsburg. After the beer flight you literally “land” in the beer garden. Praise here too: Despite the huge rush, the food tastes very good, as does the beer 😉

Great restaurant in a cool environment

For this name and location the food is really bad. I can justify that. I eat a lot and like it, the food has to taste good, no matter what it costs. If you offer 3 scoops of OBAZDA with a hint of onions with an ice cream spoon, then at least it has a slightly stronger taste, it's not called OBAZDA for nothing, it's Bavarian and has to taste strong, the mold cultures belong in there. I can get mild spreadable cheese for €1 everywhere. The spaetzle looked like finished spaetzle. I've eaten a lot of spaetzle, but homemade looks different. The fries were floury on the inside, no one at the table understood that. The more oil, the better the fries taste. You shouldn't exceed the point at which there is too much oil, but that's out of the question here anyway, as the missing oil ended up on the water buffalo burger. The water buffalo burger, what can I say about it, the taste took a lot of getting used to, 3 of us ordered it, all 3 looked at each other strangely. The oil lay on top of the patties in a puddle. A colleague said he wouldn't eat the burger. I think I'll stop writing here. With a name like that, someone who can do that needs to be in the kitchen. The prices are not ok for this quality. First time in and I won't go there again. A day later, I spoke to colleagues at the company who weren't there for Christmas dinner. They said they didn't go because they had been there before and didn't want to go back. That says something. **************************************** Addendum: After a year, here again. It's a holiday and the store is almost empty. I think it's the worst cuisine in all of Bavaria as far as a brewery is concerned. I had to come back because there was a meeting of a club, there were maybe 40 people there besides the club. Every meal that was ordered came in lightning speed, everything seemed to be ready. There's not even chicken here, we're talking about a Bavarian brewery. Someone should please hire a TV chef and show them that cooking from scratch can be done quickly and tastes 1000 times better. Bad, I'm at a loss for words.

Very good cellar beer. The food is good average at best. Relatively small card. You shouldn't expect culinary highlights. But the extremely friendly service makes up for this.

I ordered via Lieferando. Kässpatzen were dry and tasted like they had been sitting around for a few hours and had been reheated. Roast was OK. When it was delivered it was stated that I needed an invoice and cutlery. Neither was included. The very nice driver (external, directly from Lieferando) said that she "stood up for me" when it came to the cutlery, but that she was also rejected in the restaurant.

We ate in the beer garden today, the atmosphere was very nice. However, we were shocked to discover that in all the hustle and bustle there was only one cook serving food all day. We had to wait a long time, which is absolutely understandable. The food was okay, we just felt very sorry for the chef.

Food looked good but the pork was very dry, Beer was very good. But the staff acted like we didn't exist. Waited for ages to order, and then again ages when we got told the bill was coming

They ruined our anniversary dinner. My partner speaks German but I don't. I felt completely discriminated against since they brought him an abundant plate with good food, while for me the food seemed reheated and the fries, in addition to being reheated, were burnt and hard. When I called the waiters they ignored me, only when my partner called him did he come and take our order. We made a claim for my food and were told "We can't do anything."

Beautiful ambience, the food was fine. The service of some waitresses is bottomless. A helpless waitress kept trying to drive us away from the table we had reserved, even though another waitress had assigned the table to us. Since the terrace wasn't fully occupied, I have no understanding whatsoever. We chose the inn because the closing time is midnight and we wanted to eat and drink without having to change location. However, we were rudely thrown out by a service worker at 10:55 p.m. It's a shame, the ambience can't get rid of it. It's good that Augsburg has many other restaurants!

The food we ordered was of good quality, as was the beer. The service staff gave the impression that everything wasn't going smoothly that day. It was probably the heat. Our waitress didn't have her best day either. But all in all it was a nice visit.

The Riegele Wirtshaus offers everything beer lovers love. Excellent, hearty Bavarian cuisine and a very good beer selection and a cozy terrace if you can't stay indoors or in the beer garden. For fans of the brewery, there is also a shop with Riegele beers and merchandise.

I often meet friends at the Riegele WirtsHaus and it is always very nice there. People who I recommend this location are regularly enthusiastic. The view from the terrace of the trains coming and going is fantastic.

A tavern with a cozy atmosphere. The various rooms invite you to linger and create an authentic and inviting atmosphere. The price-performance ratio and the quality of the food have decreased, which is particularly noticeable compared to last year, when the food was significantly better. A salad was also forgotten, which further spoiled the overall impression. Overall, the ambience of the inn is excellent, but the cuisine needs to return to its previous quality in order to fully satisfy the guests.

Unfortunately, absolutely disappointing... Good beer, nice restaurant, Lunch dishes (4 people, all ordered differently) INEDIBLE....! Conclusion: ok as a pub, as a restaurant - NOT RECOMMENDED.

We sat on the sun terrace, very nice, it's on the train but still nice service, quick and friendly. Snack and boer very good.

Absolute Frechheit. Trotz 2 x nachfragen ob an der Terrasse bedient wird ("es kommt gleich jemand"), kam nach 25 Minuten immer noch niemand. Bin dann gegangen. Nie wieder dieses vom Personal unfähige Lokal.

The inn is well furnished. We were on the terrace. The food, I had the dumpling madness for 12.80, the salad had to be bought separately for 5.30. In short, I only liked the salad and it wasn't worth the €18.10. My husband had the favorite dish from Wimme. 23.90 plus salad 5.30. He thought it was ok. Dessert Large Kaiserschmarren 9.80 plus plums and apple 4.00. It wasn't tasty and way too small for the money.

Food was good. Pork knuckle tender, crust could have been even crispier. A solid 8/10. Were on the terrace, nice atmosphere. There was a somewhat tense atmosphere at the counter, which we noticed when we arrived. However, our waitress was great. The order was placed quickly and everything arrived promptly. The drinks were never empty for long. Very attentive.

I'm sure there are better restaurants in the city, but dining at this place belonging to the most famous brewery in the city is something worth doing. It is very large and lively, it has an outdoor terrace that can be somewhat noisy since it is close to the road. The food, typical Bavarian. The knuckle did not convince us, little chicha and very dry. The fresh beer. Of course, after 9 at night they don't serve you even a dessert because the kitchen closes.

Ich hatte gemeinsam mit meiner Frau für Sonntagmittag einen Tisch reserviert. Sicherheitshalber, nicht dass man keinen Platz bekommt. Aber Überraschung. Viel reserviert, aber auch bis 13.30 Uhr kam praktisch niemand. Und schon gleich gar niemand, der an einem der zahlreichen reservierten Tische saß. Die haben bei fast leerem Restaurant sogar jemand weggeschickt. Muss ich nicht verstehen. Das Lokal an sich schaut echt gut aus, ist urig-gemütlich, sauber, eigentlich alles gut. Bedient wurden wir auch zügig. War jetzt nicht die Freundlichkeit in Person, aber zügig unterwegs, wenn auch mit genervtem Blick. Da kann ich gut mit leben. Aber dann kam das Essen. O.k. wenn man in so ein Lokal geht, dann isst man eine Schweinshaxe oder einen Schweinebraten - und nichts anderes. Ich hatte einen Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt, vorab eine Suppe und meine Frau den Knödelwahnsinn. Die Brühe der Suppe war in Ordnung, aber warum um alles in der Welt wirft man da fertige Röstzwiebel und Frühlingszwiebel rein? Dann die Mutschelmehlknödel. Ja, kann man so lassen. Aber dann die abgebräunten Weißwurststücke? Klar, stand auf der Karte, aber es war die einzige Suppe und ich hatte Hunger. Ja, ich wollte sie auch probieren und die Menge war auch ordentlich. Aber ernsthaft Leute: Habt ihr die selber mal probiert? Dann lieber einen fertigen Leberknödel oder Pfannkuchen von Metro und Konsorten. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war gut gebraten, aber dann fertige Röstzwiebel drüber bei 26.- Euro? Und dann noch lieblos angebratene Spätzle und - was jetzt gar nicht geht - eine Dunkelbiersauce dazu. Ist wahrscheinlich da und darum nimmt man die, auch wenn sie nicht wirklich passt. Kein Salat, nix an Gemüse, wie gesagt lieblos. Aber auch wenn ich das nie wieder nehmen würde, kann man das noch einigermaßen so hinnehmen. Aber dann kommt dieser Knödelwahnsinn - im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Jetzt wirklich ernsthaft: Habt ihr das schon selbst mal gegessen? Wohl eher nicht, sonst würdet ihr das nicht so verkaufen. Das Rübengemüse unter den Knödeln das könnt ihr getrost ins Klo kippen, wie es ist und die Knödel selbst schmecken halt echt nach wenig. Das ist echt ein Gericht zum Vergessen. Und das ging am Sonntag oft raus. Und ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass Euch das überhaupt niemand gesagt hat. Aber das bringt mich wieder zu meinem Eingangsssätzen zurück: Esst eine Schweinshaxe oder einen Schweinebraten mit Knödel, wenn ihr da hingeht, dann wird das schon passen, für alles andere empfehle ich ein anderes Lokal.

We have no words to express how incredibly cruel this experience was. We were 5 people. Our friends from abroad were visiting and really wanted to try something Bavarian, so we went to Riegele so that they could try the different types of beer there. We had reserved a table in advance, and before we could even sit down the waitress asked us snidely what we wanted to drink. We pointed out to them that our friends were English speakers, had never been there before and they wanted to read the map first. She said flippantly, yes then stop, we have a full house. When we wanted to order the famous beer tasting, she said no, it wasn't available today. Please? Something like that would be good if you knew that beforehand, after all Riegele is also known for it and that's why we came here specifically. When the drinks came, one drink was forgotten and we had to point out three times that a pilsner was still missing. We ordered 2 onion roasts medium rare. One was completely through, shoe sole, the other was raw. The beer sauces were watery. The schnitzels were quite okay. Fries were frozen food, the spaetzle looked like it was prepackaged from the supermarket, as did the cold fried onions. Each dish was simply slapped carelessly at the front edge of the table. Since there were only knives in the cutlery cup at the table, we had to ask for new cutlery. That too was thrown at us. At the end there was probably the smallest portion of Kaiserschmarn ever for 3 (a small hand). And a small, tiny portion glass of apple compote for an additional charge of €4. But the best highlight is still waiting for us. We all ate different things and yet the next day we all lay flat with stomach pains from hell and fought over the toilet - to save further details. It was the first evening together after arriving, there were no problems beforehand; no other food or drinks before or after. Never again.

Guys, the knuckle is not edible at all😕I understand that you have to tinker with it for a long time, but either do it well or remove it from the menu! So, it’s just money down the drain! Beer is good, but the food is simply not. The fact that the kitchen is so ultra-fast was suspicious. Everything was prepared individually and then briefly warmed up. Basically train food. It may be that the pork knuckles are good in the afternoon, but as I said, a lot of things are just not good. Service is also fast, but friendly is something else 🙄

Don't forget to use a microscope, otherwise you won't find the dumplings. The taste of the food was good, but in addition to the fact that red cabbage or coleslaw has not been served as a side dish in pubs for some time, they are now also saving on the dumplings. It's ok if you just order a piece of meat for 5 euros from the butcher, but I have no understanding if you pay 14.50 euros in a brewery. Absolute “doesn’t work” at all. Soon you will have to pay an entrance fee so that you can order something to eat. Then you'd better cook yourself...

Menu very different from our habits, good!

I was there with some friends and we had a nice dinner. The location is very characteristic, it is furnished with old tools and it creates a nice vintage atmosphere. The food is quite good, the ingredients seem high quality. In particular, I had a Grillteller and it was very good, perfectly cooked. The prices are maybe a little high, but I guess it's justified by the quality of the ingredients. We were in the big hall on the left and It went all well, the only not too positive remark was that there were only 2 waiters serving so, it took quite long to get their attention to pay the bill. Overall a very positive experience, their new menu increased the variety, improved the quality and this is reflected also on the price, which is still well within the reasonable range.

I am happy to have finally been a guest at the inn after many years. The team stands behind its performance, and not without good reason.

As we were passing through, we looked for a local inn for the evening and ended up here. Ambience great. Food top. Beer very delicious. I can only recommend.

The beer is good . Like in every Bavarian brewery. I don't think 7 € for a little more than 3 hours of parking is too expensive... I have no way of comparing, I've never been to a pub where I could pay for that Had to pay for parking. The food.... It tasted like partially warmed dry ready-made food on gravy. Why does the menu say it contains offal? Is it a modern hipster term for meat with little taste? The fried egg was good. I might have left happy if I had gotten the pork knuckle, which wasn't available at 3 p.m. And the waiter could have asked why he had to clear a full plate.

I ordered at 8:50 p.m. via Lieferando for almost €40. After waiting for over 70 minutes, the order was canceled without comment. No call, no explanation, no apology. I tried to call, only the answering machine answered and said that I was calling outside opening hours (10:02 p.m.) How could I leave money in a store like that every month? Never again.

Very nice beer, including alkoholfrei version. Cosy inside, giving an honest atmosphere. Big portions of food, my knödeln set on the pic might not look impressive, but it is quite filling. Nice to go with a larger group, food comes quite quick even if the place of full.

The ambience is great, but the acoustics can be very loud. Fast service, but the food is very manageable. Was still hungry after the Kässpatzen???? Taste good but unfortunately rather dry and not much cheese. Afterwards there was a small Kaiserschmarrn - there are so many different variations, I've never seen it before - mine was with salted caramel. Portion is also very manageable.

Service was a complete disaster the entire evening. Waited 1/4 hour for the menu, a meal was forgotten, you were constantly ignored and had to wave around for a waitress to come and then yell at you. Waiters are constantly delivering orders that they couldn't place. After everyone at our table had eaten and I still hadn't had anything, I asked... it came 30 seconds later, cold. Apparently it was left somewhere. Due to the lousy service there was no tip. When paying, the waitress tried to withhold €10. When she was asked about it, she blamed it on her bad glasses. What an unprofessional circus! I really didn't expect such a standard from Riegele.

Rarely have I experienced such unfriendly and inattentive staff! Eating from not good at all to OK! Gray tartare, half-peeled eggs, cheese sparrows with a lot of aroma but no taste. Still nice beer selection.

The inn is a really good tip near the train station! The food was very good, of course there was a lot going on and the service had its hands full. Certainly not the last time I've been here. Beer also very tasty. The ambience outside and inside is beautifully done and invites you to linger.

We were there on a weekday for lunch. For ordering food and then also for desserts we had to walk up to the bar to order because no one came to our table to take the order. We ordered a beer tasting set, which was tasty. The food was not impressive in our opinion.

Wow, we were so disappointed when we went there for dinner this week! There are hardly any vegan/vegetarian options left or even those that are available are too spaced out or simply miserable, for example the potato pancake, 1. it came completely differently than described on the menu and 2. it was bone dry! A simple vegetarian burger wouldn't be difficult to offer. That even those who are not so keen to try can find something. We were very disappointed.

Beer was good, Kaiserschmarrn was good, only the three types of dumplings weren't really my thing.
