The service to foreigners is very friendly, and the attitude is to explain the best service. The food is delicious, but it won't blow you away. It's still a good restaurant with a nice atmosphere and nice decor. This is a Vietnamese-Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, the food I ordered this time is more Japanese-style and I can't provide many suggestions for Vietnamese meals.

I used to think it was very good there, but unfortunately the quality of service and cleanliness has declined.

Had reservations for 7 p.m. When we arrived it was already very full and the staff was hopelessly overwhelmed. An employee asked us if we had reserved, we said yes. “One moment,” it said. We waited and waited and she didn't come back but she cleaned tables and took orders and another employee asked us if he could help us. The conversation basically started all over again. After 15!!! After a few minutes someone finally wanted to offer us the last place, visibly annoyed. But we had already decided that we would go

Food & service were great! I like that you can choose between different Asian styles here. So everyone gets their money’s worth! 💗

Delicious food and very friendly.

The staff was very polite and did their best. The restaurant looks more upscale than it actually is. Wine and fresh food very good, but the tipical Asian dishes just mid as per German tradition seems like. We got the vibe it was more "casual dining/drink" than a "going out" place.

Despite making a reservation by phone, we were only left standing in the entrance area for five minutes before a waiter finally took pity on us. Unfortunately, no table was available despite reservations, so we had to wait a moment at the bar. Here too, no contact from the service staff, no eye contact, so we left there after 15 more minutes. It was also extremely loud in the restaurant; it was no longer possible to have a conversation with just three people

There were three of us at Ukiyo. For me it was the first time. The miso soup tasted okay. The duck with vegetables and rice that was served as the main course was tasty. A little more spiciness, as desired, would have been good for the dish. The following sushi platter was very pleasing both visually and in terms of enjoyment. The dessert was average. Drinks: OK. Ambiance: nice. Service: OK, but nothing special in terms of attention.

Very tasty ramen, original like in Japan. We can recommend the miso ramen and the coshu pork. Sushi also delicious. Were there in winter, but the outdoor area for summer also looked good with illuminated palm trees.

We had to wait a bit for the reserved place. But the food was just very good!

We reserved a table and were about 30 minutes late. The table was given away and we were brushed off in a very unfriendly manner.

Really chic restaurant, with great food. Prices are a bit higher, but I'm happy to pay that here. Was here with my girlfriend and we will definitely be back. The staff is really nice here, you get good-sized portions, the ambience is just nice and the decor is also feel-good and chic. I can only recommend :)

Very chic, upscale atmosphere with attention to detail (e.g. exclusive cutlery, crockery, lighting, courtyard). The menu includes starters, soups, curries, summer rolls and sushi. There are non-alcoholic alternatives such as homemade lemonade and flavored water. Freshly prepared and really delicious. The price is a bit high, but the quality is as well. The service when ordering and the waiting time for the food was pleasant. With a show of hands, the waitress was at the table quickly. You could perhaps have asked again whether an additional drink or snack was desired in order to increase sales. We parked stress-free in City G.

Food delicious, service quick and courteous, prices rather high, parking rather difficult. If you like sushi you can come here, otherwise there are probably better Asian places.

First there is the most negative point, the ambience. It was a bit too dark for my taste. Starter: edamame with chilli and garlic. I've never eaten better edamame! It was a perfect mix of garlic and chili. The sushi: fried chicken sushi was delicious! Not drenched in sauces like in countless restaurants. The chicken with vegetables and peanut sauce was the absolute highlight! The chicken, broccoli, peppers and this incredibly delicious sauce was a treat! The drink was a “homemade” one that was super tasty with pineapple, coconut, mint and lemon and was really very refreshing. The service was great, very friendly, the dog was given water and special requests that weren't even on the menu were accommodated and served.

Update: 11/2024 Unfortunately it's getting progressively worse. Partly cold food that should be warm, stretched sauce in the red curry. Slow, inattentive service that sometimes doesn't understand you. Sushi is still very good but if it continues like this you won't need to go there any more. Very unfortunate. _________________ Recession 2023: The food is very tasty, fresh and beautifully prepared. The drinks are also good. In terms of price, the restaurant is rather upscale (if not slightly higher) in this segment. What stands out negatively is the menu, which firstly isn't clean and secondly only shows category names that most people can't relate to. A short description of what this means would be more than helpful. You should just ask the waitress: it's just stupid if she has to explain the whole menu to me :-). In addition, the service staff could be a little more courteous and friendly. I would expect that for a restaurant in this price range. The ambience is rather minimalist and modern. Regarding the summer rolls as a starter, it must be said that they are definitely not worth the money. I know the starter has a lot more content than just shrimp, rice noodles and salad. For example, I was missing mint and coriander etc. There is not enough on offer here for over 8 euros. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star due to the service that needs improvement and the below-average summer rolls.

Ich komme regelmäßig ins Ukiyo. Anfangs als echter Geheimtipp nimmt es nun stetig ab. Das Sushi ist nach wie vor sehr gut. Die rote Curry Ente aber zum Beispiel hat nur noch eine sehr dünne gestreckte Soße (spart man sich hier aus Kostengründen die Kokosmilch?) und die Ente selber wird immer fetter. Ramen kann ich dort gar nicht empfehlen. Geschmacklich nicht gut. Der Service ist mittlerweile langsam und man muss froh sein, wenn die Bedienung einen versteht. Zum bezahlen soll man nun an den Tresen gehen. Sind wir in einer Kantine oder beim MC? Auch stört es mich, dass die Aufmerksamkeit extrem nachgelassen hat. Es wird nicht gefragt ob man Stäbchen möchte zum Sushi wird kein extra Tellerchen gereicht sondern jeder soll von der Platte herunteressen. Sorry Leute : Jetzt mag das Lokal noch am Wochenende voll sein, aber es braucht sich keiner wundern wenn sich das ändert. Das wird spätestens dann passieren, wenn das Sushi auch noch nachlässt.

We had ramen and the bao buns as a starter. Food was super tasty. Ambience is nice. The only drawback is the beer prices at €4.50 for a 0.3 liter beer.

We were here to have lunch. Ramen was very tasty and a large portion. Unfortunately, the red curry had very few vegetables, but it was also delicious. As a starter we had summer rolls with peanut sauce. That was also very tasty. Basically, it was relatively expensive to eat here. But the service was wonderful, as was the ambience.

We come here every time we are in Augsburg! The food always tastes delicious and everything is prepared extremely fresh. For me, that justifies the slightly higher prices. The waitresses are always friendly and on point. We can only recommend it!🥰

Very disappointed. We actually like to come but this time it could be the last time. First of all, they didn't give our dog water (it was a hot day)! In addition, the food came a whole hour late and then wrong! Instead of the peanut dish we ordered, we got a red curry. The rice was cold and hard, absolutely inedible. To make matters worse, the Aperol tasted like pure grapefruit juice. As compensation we got the bottle of water we had ordered on the house 😂 really ridiculous. What a pity about the evening!

Met by friendly staff. Great menu, though only in German so be ready to use Google translate as needed. We had a tuna and salmon sushi box, and it was beautifully presented, and the sushi was so fresh and tasty. We felt it was good value for money. Good service too throughout. We would definitely recommend going there.

Wir haben hier fantastisch gegessen, Cocktails waren auch klasse. Allerdings beim nachbestellen wurden wir irgendwie vergessen, musste noch zwei mal erinnern aber nach einer Stunde waren die Getränke immer noch nicht da, da mussten wir schon weiter. Wir haben dann ein gratis Espresso erhalten aber denn noch haben die lange Wartezeiten uns geärgert. Unsere Freunden waren dort schon oft essen und sie erzählen uns auch davon, dass die mal vergessen wurde und dass es abends immer so lange dauert. Das ist ein Optimierungspunkt. Denn noch ist das Essen einfach so lecker, dass man das in Kauf nimmt und immer wieder hierher kommt

We had lunch there yesterday and ordered from the lunch menu. Chicken and tofu were incredibly tasty and I have rarely eaten better. Service is sweet and always with a smile ❤️ Our starters summer rolls and salad tasted great. We'll be back ❤️

Food is really really good here. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. There is a courtyard/outdoor area with large umbrellas. Nothing to complain about. We'd love to come back.

Wir hatten eine Miso Suppe zur Vorspeise und Sushi als Haupt Gang. Beides war perfekt vorbereitet, originales Wasabi,der zu Tränen rührte gab es dazu: Grosser Pluspunkt. Geschmacklich top, frisch zubereitet, viel Abwechslung im Angebot. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht, die Kellner/innen waren sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Worst ramen I've ever eaten and despite the restaurant being empty on a Tuesday, apathetic service and no response to my feedback about the bad ramen.

Price-performance in the restaurant is not appropriate, especially €4.50 for 0.3l beer. The ambience is average, and the four different sushi variations all had the same taste, with excessive breading, possibly to disguise the poor product quality. The staff was fine, there are definitely better food options in Augsburg. Once and never again, not recommended!

The food was average at best. Not comparable to the food that is actually served in Japan. The service was friendly, but a bit uncoordinated. The ambience is a matter of taste, everything is quite dark and has a concrete look. In terms of price, you can't necessarily be happy if you pay 33 euros for a soup, a glass of wine and a bottle of water. :-/

Waiting almost 70 minutes for the main course is a no-go. The waitress (the German one) had no intention of apologizing at all. Unfortunately a bad experience. The food itself was good.

Really delicious food at least the sushi I ordered and nice attentive staff. The ambience is modern and chic (I'll be back) 🙂

The food is really very good, but the boss is totally unfriendly and complains to the staff in front of the customers. That's not possible. We felt uncomfortable and not welcome. We won't go there anymore for that reason. (((

My girlfriend and I came with a reservation on Saturday evening to break the fast (Ramadan). The service and delicious food were just perfect! The whole team was really very friendly and respectful, especially after we mentioned that we were fasting and had to wait a few minutes before eating. We will definitely come back more often and thank you very much for everything!

We came on Saturday evening without a reservation, even though nothing was available, they organized a table for us. Unfortunately the table was wiped with what appeared to be an ancient rag. Do you know that smell when a rag is very old? That's what it smelled like... I asked service to wipe it again. We ordered drinks and waited, after 10 minutes a waitress came and wanted to take drinks... We then waited another 10 minutes until the drinks came and could then order our food straight away. The sushi platter came quite quickly and was very tasty! Then unfortunately we waited another 30 minutes for the main course. Conclusion: Food is good, prices a little above average. Service was unfortunately totally disorganized and disorganized but very friendly.

No matter what you order here is legendary. This is my first time here but not the last. You get really full but you want to keep eating. All in all a must when it comes to Asian food.

Been a big fan since it opened and have only ever eaten sushi and the like here... Now unfortunately it's the complete opposite. Totally overpriced and sushi has become less loving - no more attention to detail. That's really a pity.....

Ein kulinarisches Juwel in Augsburg! Bei meinem Besuch im besten japanischen Restaurant der Stadt wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Die Atmosphäre war authentisch und einladend, perfekt für ein entspanntes Essen. Das Sushi war frisch und kunstvoll zubereitet, jedes Stück ein kleines Kunstwerk. Besonders beeindruckend war der freundliche Service und die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals. Ein Muss für jeden Liebhaber der japanischen Küche!

Recht kurzer & enttäuschender erster Eindruck. Ich hatte für Freitag 19 Uhr telefonisch reserviert. Als wir ankamen hat man die Reservierung erst garnicht gefunden und dann behauptet, wir seien eine Stunde zu spät. Ich habe versucht zu erklären, dass ich definitiv für 19 Uhr reserviert hatte - Das hat die Mitarbeiter aber nicht interessiert. Absolut kein Stress, wenn Fehler/Missverständnisse bei der Reservierung passieren, aber wir wurden ziemlich unfreundlich und ohne einen Alternativvorschlag (andere Uhrzeit/anderer Tag) oder wenigstens ein kurzes 'Sorry' abgewiesen. Ein klein wenig Freundlichkeit hätte hier schon geholfen :)

Wir waren heute zum 1. Mal im Ukiyo und waren total begeistert. Sehr leckeres Essen, super netter Service. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!

Wir durften in den letzten Tagen mehrmals zu Gast im Ukiyo sein. Der Service und die Speisen waren spitze. Die ganze Crew ist super sympathisch. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, sobald es uns wieder in die Gegend verschlägt.

Das Sushi war zwar ohne Frage wirklich lecker, aber wir hatten schon besseres für einen günstigeren Preis, die Preise sind schon etwas übertrieben. Dazu war die Bedienung leider sehr unfreundlich, für den Preis erwartet man eigentlich etwas anderes, wir wollten das restliche Sushi mitnehmen und sie hat uns das Paket quasi auf den Tisch geworden. Außerdem war die Wartezeit von ca. einer Stunde einfach viel zu lange, sehr schade!

Wahnsinnig gutes Essen, sehr nette Servicekräfte. Absolut empfehlenswert - vor allem wegen dem Essen.

Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet und erscheint klein ist es aber nicht. Die Bedienung war etwas verplant kam aber immer alles an auch wenn manchmal etwas verspätet, war aber auch viel los an dem Tag. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Homemade Limonades auch.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht ganz. Die Gerichte und auch Getränke sind überdurchschnittlich teuer, aber trotzdem, meiner Meinung nach, nicht qualitativ hochwertiger. Einrichtung ist modern, aber es fehlt ein wenig die Liebe zum Detail, z.B. bei der Tischdeko.

Wenn man gutes und schnelles Service haben will, muss man wohl mit den Mitarbeitern befreundet sein. Das Restaurant war ziemlich leer, aber man musste trotzdem bisschen diskutieren, um einen Tisch draußen zu bekommen. Die Bedienung hat offensichtlich keine Lust. Wir mussten über 1 Stunde auf unsere Bestellung warten. Interessanterweise wurden die Menschen, die einen Mitarbeiter kannten, sehr schnell bedient und konnten ohne Diskussionen einen beliebigen Tisch auswählen. Das Essen war unterdurchschnittlich. Man kann zu all you can eat gehen und mehr für den Preis bekommen.

Ganz ehrlich, ich war schon lange nicht mehr so enttäuscht. Wir kamen zu meinem Geburtstag ins Ukiyo. Zuerst warteten wir lange auf unseren reservierten Tisch. Eine Seite des Tisches wurde vor uns so bla-bla gereinigt. Die Kellner waren extrem unfreundlich und schienen ihre Arbeit zu hassen. Nach etwa 15-20 Minuten nahmen sie endlich unsere Bestellung auf. Aber dann das Schlimmste: über eine Stunde Wartezeit - das ist definitiv zu lange! Personen, die später ankamen als wir, erhielten ihr Essen viel früher. Außerdem wurde uns weder als Entschuldigung für die lange Wartezeit noch zum Geburtstag irgendetwas angeboten. Der Kellner behauptete, wir hätten so lange warten müssen, weil es zu viel zu tun gab, aber niemand hatte uns gesagt, dass wir über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten würden. Dann hätten wir uns Zeit und Nerven gespart. So lange auf die Rechnung oder irgendeine Form von Aufmerksamkeit zu warten, ist absolut inakzeptabel. Und dazu noch sehr teuer, langwierig und enttäuschend. Ich kann es wirklich nicht empfehlen und werde nie wieder dorthin gehen.

Wir waren schon öfters hier vor Ort und kennen die anderen Lokalitäten hier auch sehr gut. Das Ukiyo sticht besonders durch sein spezielles Ambiente und die tolle Speisekarte hervor in Augsburg. Der Inhaber ist sehr motiviert hier ein Erlebnis in Geschmack & Location zu bieten. Moderne Asiatische Küche trifft Tradition. Wir sind begeistert & kommen immer wieder gerne zu zweit oder auch gerne in der Gruppe. Toller Laden und nur zu empfehlen 🙏🤍

Sterne gehen an die Location, service war katastrophal. Nach 15 min warten wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen, anschließend durften wir weitere 45 min auf das Essen warten, das lokal war nicht gefüllt und von den Kellnern wurden wir auch kaum beachtet.

Eines der besten Sushi-Restaurants. Sehr kreative Umsetzung und tolle Präsentation. Geschmacklich echt empfehlenswert. Dazu ein schneller, unaufdringlicher Service. Das Lokal selbst im schlichten modernen Industrial-Style. Hier hat man eine Wiederholungsgefahr ;-)

Super leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente und lockeres Feeling! Ukiyo setzt Sushi-Essen auf das „Next Level“, noch nie so so so gutes Sushi gegessen, aber auch der Start mit den bombastisches Suppen, bis hin zu den Bowls und Hauptgerichten, darf man das Dessert auch nicht vergessen - alles in Einem, einfach köstlich! Immer wieder gerne, ich komme gerne wieder und empfehle liebend gerne weiter :) Auch die verschieden Drinks sind ein Genuss. Grüße gehen raus

Bestes Sushi in Augsburg, super Service, schönes Ambiente

Essen köstlich. Wartezeiten unanständig lang. Musik laut und zu basslastig.

Bin ehrlich gesagt überrascht, über die ganzen positiven Rezensionen zum Sushi. War mit das schlechteste Sushi, das ich in Augsburg bisher gefunden habe. Richtig nasser Reis, sehr mittelmäßiger Fisch, völlig überflüssig garniert mit Granatapfel, Sojasprossen und zu viel Soße. Vermutlich um von der Fisch Qualität abzulenken. Wundert mich nicht, dass nicht gefragt wurde, ob und wie es geschmeckt hat. Die Preise für das Essen sind überzogen was die Qualität betrifft. Die Getränkepreise hingegen sind ein schlechter Scherz. 4,50 für ein Helles - in 0,3, in Bayern. Man kann es auch übertreiben Dazu kamen noch zwei Gäste, die laute Videos über Handy Speaker gehört haben. Die meisten Leute hat es gewaltig gestört, dem Personal war das aber herzlich egal, entsprechend war von Atmosphäre auch nicht zu sprechen. Es gibt zu viele bessere Alternativen.

Breite Auswahl an sehr gutem Essen, auch viel Vegetarisches. Der Service ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Das Restaurant ist sehr schlicht und glatt gehalten, das Licht ist sehr grell, weshalb es nicht so gemütlich ist. Trotzdem eine Empfehlung.

Das beste Restaurant in dem ich seit langem war. Essen war top, mega freundliche Bedienung und man hat sich einfach wohl gefühlt. Portionen hatte die perfekt Größe, so dass man satt wird. Gerne wieder 👍🏼 10/10

Unserer Meinung nach das beste asiatische Restaurant in Augsburg! Leckeres Essen in bester Qualität und freundlicher Service in wunderschönem, modernen Ambiente. Unser Favorit sind die Bao Buns und definitiv das Sushi - haben in Augsburg noch nie besseres Sushi gegessen! Aber auch alle Hauptgerichte, wie z.B. der Lachs, sind mega lecker. Die hausgemachten Drinks sind auch sehr zu empfehlen. Im Sommer kann man super draußen im Innenhof auf der Terrasse sitzen :) Wenn es mehr Sterne gäbe, hättet ihr sie alle verdient!

Haben nicht reserviert, fragten aber ob sie einen Tisch für zwei Personen frei hätten. Hatten die Wahl zwischen einen Platz an der Bar oder einen Tisch für eine Stunde. Wir entscheiden uns für den Tisch. Nach dem aber 15 Minuten lang keine Bedienung kam, sind wir wieder gegangen. Das Lokal war knapp zur Hälfte belegt. Für uns das Erste und Letzte mal.

Also das essen ist gut. War aber vor 1 Jahr viel besser hat sehr nachgelasen genau wie der Service. Selbstbedienung war angesagt .keine Stäbchen bekommen keine sojacoce es wurde auch nicht gefragt ob man noch edwas trinken möchte das bei lären Gläsern und 34 grad. Keine klima Speise Karte extrem kaput und pfleckig Und das alles bei den echt hohen preisen. Keine Nachspeisen in der Karte .Für ein Mini schale chilli mayo 2.50 das ist alles sehr überteuert

Das Essen ist teuer für kleine Portionen. Qualität hat mir auch nicht so gefallen. Gibt bessere Restaurants wo man Sushi essen kann.
