The Ratsherren Brauhaus impresses with a solid selection of craft beers and draft beers. The food is good but nothing special. What doesn't work at all is the service. Waiters who deliberately ignore you when you draw your attention to something energetic are not acceptable! Unfortunately, if you don't draw attention to yourself, nothing happens. You wait 30 minutes to place an order and another 20 for it to arrive! Restaurants can't afford that at these prices!!!

Today we had dinner with our colleagues at the Old Girl and also tried a few things from the beer menu. The food was really tasty, I didn't expect that. There are even gluten-free and vegan options. The in-house beef burger was awesome! The beer menu was very extensive, as you would expect from a brewery. But there is also international beer, for example from Holland or Belgium. You can even order some beers gluten-free. The staff was attentive, courteous and friendly. All in all, I can only recommend the old girl.

Amazing place with great food and friendly atmosphere

Finn's friendly nature, combined with his humor and quick responsiveness, made the meal a great experience. It's rare to meet such a dedicated and talented waiter. We will definitely come back :-)

The food is delicious. The price-performance ratio is okay. Unfortunately, the reservations are scheduled far too closely. We had made a reservation and were there with a larger group (9 people) and after less than 1 hour 45 minutes we were very rudely asked to leave because the table had already been reserved for the next guests. In my opinion, this is far too short a reservation, especially for a larger group. Especially since a large part of this time is spent waiting for food.

Great store! Finn's service in particular was exceptional!!! Best service ever :)

Ok fun experience but overrated. Good fun Thursdays to Saturdays.

Finn is the best waiter who makes unusual requests come true. My espresso cup was properly heated as desired. I always like to come back but only when Finn is there.

After a brewery tour there, we got a table without a reservation, very tasty food, fresh aldermen on tap. Music was sometimes too loud, otherwise an interesting atmosphere. Recommendation!

The Old Girl is a great, contemporary brewery. Modern and delicious both in terms of beer and food. The prices sometimes seem a bit exorbitant and do not invite you to spend long, comfortable evenings. The service is attentive, fast, friendly and very well organized. If the prices don't put you off, you're definitely in good hands here as a beer fan.

Unfortunately, it now happens almost all the time that various dishes that are on the season menu or the standard menu are not available. Been there 4 times in October and happened 4 times: Goulash: is already sold out today / Obatzda: is already sold out today / Kaiserschmarrn: unfortunately no longer available today, etc... And we weren't there late in the evening once, but usually from 5 p.m /6 p.m. It's a shame if you go there specifically for that reason. And we weren't the only ones: there were several other guests around us, some of whom were already asking: What else do you have there? Service was still always nice, attentive and quick.

I was there for the first time 10 years ago and I have lasting positive memories of it. Last week we were back in HH and wanted to refresh those good memories. We were seriously mistaken. It started with the entrance being relocated. The path now led past the kitchen with the garbage cans for leftover food. Why the leftovers are presented to the guest first remains a mystery to me. When we entered we were asked if we would like to eat. This was affirmed. But somehow it didn't go down so well in the cellar. We were shown to a table and we sat there for 25 minutes without any further attention. Just as we were about to leave, someone came and asked if we would like to order something. We ordered the house bread and to try the mermaid test board with various beer specialties. When we asked what kind of beers were currently being served there and we definitely didn't want a pale. We were told no problem. We don't currently have it in stock. To our surprise, there were two beers there. There may be people who like it, but to me it tastes more like a lamppost at the bottom. The bread we ordered was very tasty, as were the spreads that came with it. Unfortunately, the rest has fallen off badly. For us it was an experience that we were able to have with the conclusion that it was great at one time but unfortunately never again.

Quaint beer bar in the Schanzeviertel, very good beer, good food and perfect service staff

On our last visit, the service staff were all good - fast, friendly and competent. There are negative points for the already hefty prices and the fact that you can only reserve for two hours and after an hour and a half you are politely asked to pay and then leave soon. I see the Old Girl as a mix of bar/brewery and restaurant. But how can you comfortably enjoy drinks together if you have to leave shortly after eating? Even if the regulation was known beforehand, it still has an influence on the rating of the restaurant. This is also a conscious calculation; the decision was made to have more guests ordering food and not to create a really feel-good atmosphere. It's a shame, the ambience and atmosphere are otherwise very nice.

I had reserved a table for 2 people by email for last Monday and the matter was taken care of in my travel planning. When we stood in front of the door at 7 p.m., a young receptionist condescendingly explained to us that they would only accept reservations from 8 p.m. and only if there were several people. Or could we show a QR code? - He could have sat us at the bar, sat us down somewhere, said that he would find something for the two of us, but not like this. I was 20 enough for games like that. Pride comes before a fall.

Very nice staff, cold drinks, good food, pleasant friendly atmosphere with very courteous employees.

My first time at Old Girl was with a group of 8 people. We sat on the “gallery”. The seating is very comfortable and spacious, you don't feel like you're sitting on other groups' skin. Overall it was a very nice evening. I ate fish and chips, which didn't impress me. The salmon was fried very fatty. The "chips", called Ackergold there, are fries in the shape of chips - they were ok. I wouldn't recommend fish & chips because I didn't like it, even though I usually enjoy the dish. Regarding the ambience, you can also say that it is quite loud and the whole thing is amplified by the loud music being played. I wouldn't want to eat there with my family.

A very nice restaurant. The food is good. Beer is excellent. Atmosphere as it should be in a pub-like restaurant. So everything is actually great. When making the reservation, however, we were informed of a penalty of €10 if one of our 9 people didn't show up. This is not only absolutely inadmissible (cf. § 309 No. 6 BGB), but also simply very bad style.

A nice restaurant with very attentive service staff. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good, lukewarm and the taste wasn't great.

The concept with the open kitchen and the organic grocery store is really great. The friendly service also left a great impression. The beef tartare didn't quite suit our taste as we prefer it classic. All in all, a great restaurant with delicious beer and a variety of regional cuisine.

A good restaurant, service is friendly and on the ball. What seems a little strange is that you have to pay extra to go to the toilet. The toilets are inside the restaurant...

goulash - 1 out of 5: very small amount of meet, mostly it's old bread soaked in a unappetizing sauce. beer - is okay, nothing special. location - classic brauerei with the old dirty wooden furniture, but pretty cosy in general.

Visiting Hamburg and came here specifically for pork knuckle only to find out that it wasn't on offer all day. Then take it out of the menu. Ate a schnitzel, which was okay. Beer tastes different every time even though you order the same thing. I don't have to go there again. Almost a train station atmosphere and hearty prices. The service was friendly and we got a table without an appointment.

Even though there was no greeting upon entry and you were only noticed when you got too close to the tables and were complimented back to the entrance, this stylish, classic brewery immediately exuded a certain class. Once you were escorted to the square and saw the fantastic selection of beers and food, you knew that the visit would be worth it. Effortless waiters ensured that, despite the hut being fully booked, you hardly had to wait for food and drink and that you were served exactly what you expected and hoped for. Absolutely recommended for any occasion!

An absolutely unforgettable evening in the “Old Girl”! My visit to the "Old Girl" was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. As soon as I entered the restaurant I immediately felt at home - the ambience is cozy, inviting and exudes just the right mix of urban charm and traditional brewery atmosphere. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service we experienced that evening. Our waiter, Finn, was simply fantastic! With his friendly and professional manner, he not only looked after us, but also made the evening a real highlight with his attention and warmth. Whether it was advising on the home-brewed beers or recommending dishes, Finn was always there to help without ever seeming intrusive. We were really impressed by his knowledge of what is on offer and his passion for what he does. Even when we had questions about the ingredients of the dishes (we had an allergy sufferer in the group), he was immediately there and patiently explained everything to us to ensure that we enjoyed the perfect meal. You rarely experience something like this! The food was also excellent - from the delicious starters to the hearty main courses, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. And the beer? An absolute must for all beer lovers! Many thanks to Finn and the entire “Old Girl” team for this thoroughly successful evening. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant!

A lot has already been written about the ambience and the food. Which is also good. But the men's toilet just stinks of piss like at the train station!! I just find it disgusting that guests are expected to do this. They say: look at the toilet and you'll know how clean the kitchen is. It urgently needs to be renovated.

Everything was almost perfect. The employees were extremely friendly and accommodating! The beers were of course excellent and the Caesar salad was great! The operator made a small mistake, which was solved without any problems and even apologized politely. Very courageous, which is rare these days. Only one small drawback: the waiting time for the beers was 10-15 minutes. Also in the company's interest, it should be quicker 😁

Friendly staff, cool atmosphere... but really incredibly bad beer and the food was at best cafeteria quality.

Fine food, fine beers, fast, friendly service, cozy location.

I used to go to the Old Girl often, but recently the service has deteriorated significantly. While the atmosphere is still cozy and the drink selection remains impressive, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff have greatly diminished. There was an unoccupied table that we wanted to use - one member of staff agreed, while the other suddenly said the table wasn't available so we had to sit inside. Overall disappointing and not what it once was.

In my opinion, unfortunately now overpriced. In my opinion, it is incomprehensible why your own brewed 0.5L draft beer costs €6. The food was just mediocre, the burger was quite firm, the bun wasn't soft but sticky, and there was way too much on it so you could hardly taste the individual ingredients. The whole thing with cheese and fries for €20.40. Addendum two years later beer only €5.10, but 0.4l 🤩 I sometimes ask myself how much it must have actually cost to buy these 0.4L glasses 🤷‍♂️ Burgers are of course also 10% more expensive.

Handling the booking was a little stressful because I booked an event space and got a notification that my booking is for 2h. It took many calls to get through to clarify that this is a generic confirmation that doesn't apply to event bookings. The room where the Stammtisch is located is really hot, we were lucky it was a warm but cloudy day. The service was semi fast but due to soccer it got a little busy so no complaints on that end. The staff's knowledge regarding dishes was rather limited and no efforts were made to clarify questions with the kitchen. I think that's something they should really work on because especially for dietary requirements this is important. I wish they would have been a bit more communicative and proactive. We celebrated a birthday and had some flowers but we had to ask three times to receive vases. Attention to detail really makes the difference. Some dishes were sold out but this was only communicated once we tried to order them. However, everyone found a dish they were satisfied with. All in all a good evening.

We had a three-course menu, the food was very varied and delicious. The staff was very friendly, but perhaps understaffed or poorly organized, a few orders were not filled correctly (drinks missing, etc.).

The ski jump area is intimidating and not suitable for everyone. I ripped my pants on the chairs in the restaurant. Even though it was almost empty, the volume was almost unbearable and conversation was only possible by shouting. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

My personal recommendation are the wonderful fish 'n' chips with fresh Gutkensalat and mayo and a freshly tapped one. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend the Franzbrötchen Tiramisu. Some pieces of Franzbrötchen were simply covered in a mass of mascarpone. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Disappointing experience at the "Altes Mädchen" in Hamburg We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. and even got there a little early. Nevertheless, we were only allowed in at 6:15 p.m., not without pointing out that we would have to vacate the table again at 8:00 p.m. - which we were already aware of. We were able to place our first order quickly and our meals and drinks arrived at the table quickly. Everything was solid, home-style cooking that was definitely tasty. However, when we wanted to order dessert, coffee and maybe a schnapps at around 7:15 p.m., the real problem began: we were actively ignored by the service staff. In the remaining 45 minutes we couldn't get a single waiter to come to our table. However, exactly at 8:00 p.m. we were unceremoniously cashed in. Overall a disappointing experience. Home-style cooking can be found elsewhere with much better service. It's a shame, we were looking forward to the visit.

Unfortunately the restaurant disappointed us. Although the food tasted good, the portions were way too small which left us hungry. The service also left a lot to be desired. It seemed as if only inexperienced students were employed as waitresses, who were running back and forth hectically but had little overview. The finale was particularly disappointing: We wanted to order dessert, but after three quarters of an hour of waiting we were finally able to pay, although without ever getting our dessert. The management seemed completely disorganized. Overall, the visit was unfortunately not very good and we cannot recommend the restaurant.

Das Restaurant hat uns leider enttäuscht. Obwohl das Essen geschmacklich gut war, waren die Portionen viel zu klein, was uns hungrig zurückließ. Der Service ließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Es schien, als wären ausschließlich unerfahrene Studenten als Bedienung angestellt, die hektisch hin- und herliefen, aber wenig Überblick hatten. Besonders enttäuschend war der Abschluss: Wir wollten ein Dessert bestellen, doch nach einer dreiviertel Stunde Wartezeit konnten wir endlich zahlen, allerdings ohne jemals unser Dessert zu bekommen. Das Management machte einen völlig unorganisierten Eindruck. Insgesamt war der Besuch leider nicht sehr gut, und wir können das Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Great restaurant, very good food and nice staff. If you like to chat you should go somewhere else because the music, and therefore also the guests, is/are very loud.

Very well eaten, this place is to be recommended. The cuisine is traditional, the quantities are generous. Very warm welcome, the staff are friendly and smiling. The service is fast, all in a warm setting.

Beer 5 stars Food 3 stars (please don't write “boneless knuckle” as the main course when there are maybe 150g of it (in sushi format) on the plate. Nice to look at but the menu is misleading and disappointing for me/the portioning is absolutely inadequate.

One of the best diner I've experienced in Hamburg so far. Athmosphere is calm and relaxing, empleyees are helpful and kind. There are so many beer options and you will difficultly choose yours. Helles was my favourite one. We ate cheeseburger and fish & chips. Burger was delicious. French fries were crunchy and tasted good. But I need to tell extra good for fish & chips. Crunchiness of the fish was perfect and meat was juicy enough and delicious. They have a big parking lot outside. Booking before going is adviced.

Like any other beer, a Pilsner should be presented in style. The glass should not be spilled. My comment just said, go somewhere else. Thanks for the tip

Nice place for a business dinner. They serve a lot of different beers.

Food was very tasty! Ambience also very cozy. Went there with a larger group and were well looked after. Beer selection is also great. The only thing that bothered me about the restaurant was the loud music.

We came early especially for the beer tasting in the nicest weather so that we could get a seat. Beer tasting outside is apparently not possible. Self-service, so ok, but still no beer tasting possible. So we ordered two small beers so we could at least try something. Beer was good too warm for my taste. There was breakfast until 2 p.m. so we ordered a breakfast sandwich. It was more like a pinsa, more like the pizza/dough was fried or spread with oil, at least not a sandwich. But quite ok. Overall everything was ok but I wouldn't necessarily want to come again due to the overall situation. But if you're lucky, maybe in winter so you can taste the beer ;-)

We were here in 2018, and loved it then, and now. Menu is different. I ordered the Hamburg Hell beer, because it was funny. And good. I ordered the FREDDYS HAFERSCHNITZEL, which is Oat Schnitzel. It was interesting.... I think my husband had fish and chips. When we were taken to our table, we were told we "could only have the table til 9pm". Which was fine for us, but something to be aware of. It was very busy, but service was excellent.

We were in this hospitality for the first time today. We were greeted politely and shown to a table as a group with humor. The subsequent service was extremely courteous. The advice from our waitress Jilan on food and drinks also met our expectations. Thanks to the competent support from the staff alone, we had a very nice evening. Last but not least: The various dishes we ordered were freshly prepared, served hot and tasted excellent. Special requests were also taken into account. Afterwards there was Kaiserschmarrn. The result is indescribably good, you just have to try it. We'll be back, no question.

Nice ambience, large selection of beers at a higher price-performance ratio, good food (burgers, Cesars salad & Kaiserschmarrn). I have to differentiate on the subject of service. Self-service (middle area) works, pleasant beer garden feeling - smoking permitted. One area was separated -> closed society. Again the restaurant area with service was open, including a part outside. Since the middle section was full, we lined up to be assigned a table. Meanwhile, a spot for two outside became conveniently available. The initially nice service lady offered us a table inside, but we asked outside because of the heat - everything there was full. I kindly noted that a table for two had just become available. She then replied that she first had to get an overview and that we could sit in the middle with others. We looked in the middle -> full. We came back, the same lady saw us, immediately afterwards spoke to a new customer directly in front of us and assigned the said 2nd seat to them. We then continued to wait because I found it so obvious and incomprehensibly outrageous. Suddenly a gentleman assigned the seats and I briefly explained the problem to him. I dismissed the colleague in question shortly afterwards and then politely explained my lack of understanding to the colleague. The reason given was "get an overview, there's definitely still room in the middle". The bottom line is that I have never felt so dissatisfied with the service in any restaurant. No excuse, no “offer” like “the next free spot is yours” or anything else. I completely understand if things go haywire, but all in all it was super weak and as a customer you simply feel ripped off.

What they really know how to do is beer. Not necessarily my choice as a dining restaurant. But for a large selection of beer, delicious drafts, in a hearty (loud) atmosphere, you can do it well.

There were four of us who drank and ate deliciously and were also thrilled with the service! The service star was called Finn, it couldn't be better!!!

Five of us were just in the Old Girl. The ambience is romantically wonderful, the food was very good. My fellow guests had a very large portion. I had an outstanding goulash, but due to the almost perfect quality, my portion was quite small for understandable reasons. Nevertheless, I got full. For beer lovers, the Old Girl is a paradise. Unfortunately, we were only able to taste four of the beers because we had been traveling in Hamburg since 5 a.m. The waitresses are extremely friendly. However, since I was a waiter myself, I have to say that the service is very slow. We all felt very comfortable and would like to recommend the Old Girl to you without reservation

Very cozy furnishings, a wide selection of drinks, especially German and international beers, the food is rustic and of varying quality.

Staff and food are good, there is a great variety of beers. Reservations are limited to two hours and you will be evicted from your seat in good time - even if there is no subsequent reservation for the table! The staff is unhelpful in finding a solution to continue eating in the location if you still want to stay - it seems to be very geared towards maximum sales and staff optimization. You are also not allowed to stand in front of the restaurant because the neighboring restaurants don't want you to. Unfortunately, everything is not the way we imagined and are used to...

Never again! A visit to a restaurant that feels like a bad joke. Self-service at top prices? That's the concept here. The staff seems overwhelmed and unfriendly, as if the store were a permanent construction site. Excessively long queues of 20 to 30 minutes meant that our group of 6 was torn apart the whole evening - 1-2 people who were standing in line were always missing. We had to get the food from the counter ourselves, only to realize that the quality was okay, but in no way lived up to the excessive price level. It seems as if a lot of savings have been made here on the biggest cost item – staff – and the savings have been added directly to the prices. The only thing missing is that at the end of the evening you are asked to do the dishes and clean the toilets. Conclusion: once and never again, dear old girl!

I've been to the old girl several times and it's always great. There is food and drink for every taste. The service is always attentive and friendly. Simply a relaxed atmosphere where you can do something good for your body and soul.

An absolute must when visiting Hamburg. It's best to reserve in advance. The earlier the better, but it can also work without a reservation... a bit of luck is part of it. Have started the current map. As of August 2024. Food was great, beer was delicious and the ambience just had a beer garden/brewery feeling. Always happy to come back here.

It is a cozy, hip place with an industrial vibe. The beer tastes great because it is part of the “ratsherrn” beer brewery. Food was also very tasty. And it has a good quality-price ratio.

Food is ok, service from staff not the usual German hospitality. Had to wait 20 mintes for a beer, several times. We were placed at a high table and kept asking for a normal one. That was 'not available' but later guests were placed there. They had no reservation (I checked)

A second visit revised my initially less positive impression: the service was friendly and attentive at the end of June, despite the full house. The beers are great, especially ice cold. The menu changes and I particularly liked the summer menu. Below I have criticized some points that had surprised me on a previous visit. But apparently it was a bad day and the brewery is interested in criticism from guests. Thank you for that! I will gladly come again. __ Originally: Unfortunately I'm really disappointed. At first it seems as if someone put a lot of effort into the facility and the whole concept. But there was no longer any great demand when it came to the service and the food. There was no explanation about the food ("it's what's on the table") and I didn't feel welcome from the staff on the cell phone. My bread with “three dips” was great. One of the "three dips" was just unsalted butter - I didn't necessarily expect that. Unfortunately, the beers were all too warm; I found this disappointing, especially given the fairly high price. I would have liked to give feedback to the staff, but they weren't interested in me. I also thought about writing an email to the managing director, but my final impression was that a satisfied customer is not the goal here anyway. Hamburg has much better to offer.

Here as tourists for the first time in the Hamburg location. Our impression: a very nice and courteous staff. We tested 5 different types of home-brewed beer. The food is also very tasty!

If people don't like people then they shouldn't work in service. And unfortunately the iced tea doesn't work at all, that's outrageous!

Probably a nice place to hang out with a group of friends on a summer night. We came for beer and food, though, and got disappointed. They make their own beer, but it's actually not very good. The food is not very good either and it is overpriced. We also had to wait 15 minutes to get a drinks order delivered.

We went to the “Altes Mädchen” restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't really full and since there was no sign asking if you should sit down or wait, we asked at the counter. At first we only got puzzled looks and after repeated questions there was a rude "you should ask the service". Since there was no one in sight, we initially stood as ordered and not picked up and were finally greeted rudely by a waiter and then, after waiting some more, led to a table. At that point I didn't really feel like eating there anymore. Since the restaurant was an alternative to another restaurant for us and we wanted to give it a chance, we stayed anyway. We got the lunch menu and ordered fish and chips and a schnitzel and two passion fruit spritzers. The schnitzel sounded good, but it was nothing special and unfortunately only lukewarm. The fish from the fish and chips was tasty, although not seasoned enough. Unfortunately, the fries tasted totally rancid and left a strange aftertaste in the mouth. The atmosphere is really nice, a mix of rustic style and modern elements. However, the prices are too high for what you get. The waiter who picked us up at the end was really very nice and attentive. We didn't leave particularly satisfied and probably wouldn't come back again. A pity.

Food is ok, but hardly any hospitality. Complete ignorance. We sat on a high table but were refused a lower one. Guests entering after us got a normal table. Waiting 20 minutes for a beer. And so on. We very regularly visit German brauhauses but this one never again

I ordered a cup of Americano coffee for €3.20 and then asked for a small amount of milk with the coffee. It was charged an extra €1.90. A total of €5.10 for a normal sized cup of coffee is too expensive.

Terrible service unfortunately. The bartender that took our order showed little interest and played no attention, and even thou we repeated the order several times, 2 out of 3 dishes came out completely wrong. The food, once replaced, was ok but did not feel fresh. Found a piece of plastic in the vegan schnitzel. Om the plus side: Nice vibe, good beer.

Habe eine Tasse Kaffee Americano für 3,20€ bestellt und dann um zusätzlich eine kleine Menge Milch zum Kaffee gebeten. Sie wurde mit 1,90€ extra in Rechnung gestellt. Insgesamt 5,1€ für eine normal große Tasse Kaffee ist zu teuer.

The fish was bad and I got food poisoning :( Apart from that, way too expensive for what you get. Never again.

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. Neither the beer cooler at the counter is still in use nor is the service good. Got the wrong beer even though the place wasn't even close to full. Years ago it was once an institution on the Schanze, now it's just a snobbish bar for tourists.

The concept of this place is nice and the beers are also good. Unfortunately the quality of the food and of the service don’t keep up. I ordered a burger which was overcooked and hard to eat. They recently raised the prices too. So now it is definitely too expensive for the quality and the service they offer.

If you like beer (and a burger) that's your place to go

The food came quickly and was very tasty. The atmosphere is quite cool, more for younger people, there is music playing and there is a cozy bar.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the outdoor concept, which was new to us. First stand in the hallway in front of the “You will be placed” sign for 15 minutes. We are then informed that you have to walk to the front desk for every order. Once you have ordered you have to pay directly and get a buzzer. Then you sit down. The drinks are then prepared indoors and then brought to the outdoor stand. Then the buzzer rings and you pick up your drink. Same system for food. We were actually just racing. Either pick up drinks or food or pay again because you want to order something else. The service didn't know where to find salt and pepper. Tables outside were full of glasses. It wasn't cleared away. The waiter who let us in was very arrogant and you had the impression that we didn't need you to be our guests. A sourdough oven bread with ruccola and pesto tasted very tasty, but for €16.50 a bread should also taste good.

The quality of the food is really very disappointing! My schnitzel only consisted of breading and was therefore simply dry. After I let it go back, I got some frame sauce, which I'm sure wasn't homemade, to drown it all out a bit. The price is really exaggerated for this quality... the nachos (for 13€?!?!?!?) would be served with some ready-made salsa with cheap chemical cheese. For the price you would definitely expect more! Drinks are good so far and the location is also cozy. The service is nice, but could be faster or the staff needs to be increased… not really recommended.

We went here based on the good reviews and we weren't disappointed. Great location and a menu where you can only find burgers and schnitzels. And if you're looking for a large selection of beers... you can get them here. The homemade bread tastes really delicious and the service was great.

Latest visit. Food average service with potential for improvement. We arrive and ask for a table. Are led to a high table. Since we have a pregnant woman with us, we ask whether another table is possible, the answer is no, although there are enough tables available. 5 minutes later the table next to us is occupied by 4 people. Someone there also asks for another table and gets it after a short time. When we bring this up as we leave the restaurant, we are told that they don't have enough staff and that we don't understand the operating procedures. The distance to the tables would have been about 3 m different (not further). The staff wasn't stressed because of the European Football Championship (without broadcast in the restaurant that evening). On the contrary, rather overstaffed. Locally 50% empty. The tables we requested remained empty until the end. It never occurs to the manager that the guest could sometimes be right. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. I'd rather leave my money somewhere else.

We were there on Friday for the opening European Championship game with 25 people. It was very busy and yet everyone in the cellar was friendly and completed the orders quickly. We chose the "old girl" as the menu for everyone. Everything was delicious and everyone was full. We were all thrilled and can recommend the Braugasthof with 5 stars plus with a clear conscience. Keep it up. Big praise to the kitchen and waiters.

The food was good . Our waitress (Finn) was very attentive and looked after us very well.

Ambience very nice, but service very unprofessional and unfriendly. We had to wait a long time for the menu and bill and we were almost unable to order anything because 1/3 of the menu was no longer available at 2 p.m.

I really appreciate that they have organic free range breeding cattle foods. Moreover from Salt meadows which really need this kind of management - grazing - to keep its unique fauna und flora. We had a goulash and it was very tasty - we can taste the salt flora 😝

My first evening in the Schanzenviertel. Great location, delicious drinks and super attentive and professional waiters. Thank you Finn for the great hospitality. Was fun.
