Best Greek in the area. The chefs know their craft, and their love for the spices that are sprinkled on the meat to round it off is amazing. We particularly recommend the grill mix plate and the lamb plate (the lamb is just good!). The starter salad here is also not standard but really something delicious. The service is very friendly and always tries to accommodate you even if you forget to make a reservation. Football games are particularly atmospheric because of the live broadcast, but can sometimes be very loud and crowded.

Professional, fast, familiar and fabulous food. We had a mega gyros and the lamb souvlaki were to die for. The service is charming but not intrusive. The Greek mentality can be felt everywhere. We felt super comfortable and will come back.

Unfortunately, after the drastic price increases, I can't afford lunch, let alone the evening menu. The Olympic flame has been an institution on the ski jump for many decades. The motto from the start was good, inexpensive food, even for those on a budget. More important than ever in the times we live in today. So this restaurant, which has already overcome many crises, is also an example of how life always goes on, and yet they still stick to their motto. The staff are absolutely attentive, friendly and accommodating, play a big part The success of these restaurants, most of whom have been there from the beginning, also speaks for this restaurant. We have always felt comfortable with you and will continue to do so in the future.

I actually don't think much of Greeks or Greek restaurants because I've only had bad experiences so far. However, the restaurant is by far the best. Great service, always full and the food is just fantastic. I recommend this to EVERYONE :)

There were two of us on Saturday evening without a reservation and we quickly got a table. We got an ouzo on the house for waiting and at the end too. The food and service was great despite the crowds in the restaurant.

Great and down-to-earth Greek restaurant. I ate the most delicious beef liver with fried potatoes and went back the next day to eat the same thing. The girls from the team took great care of us, a huge compliment to them!!!

Late Saturday afternoon at football time it was correspondingly loud, but that's to be expected. Service friendly and attentive, drinks not stale and at a good temperature. Gyros of good quality and the meatball pan also delicious

We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The food came relatively quickly. We also only ordered two starters. We found it very good that the food wasn't straight away came after that. We were able to enjoy the starters and finish them well before our food arrived shortly afterwards. It was very filling and very tasty. The waiter was very attentive without being intrusive.

It is a simple, nice, rustic tavern where the service is very courteous and friendly. The food is very good, the house wine is also highly recommended. I drank San Miguel on tap there for the first time and it was really, really good! TVs playing sports in the background.

Calamaretti with vegetables was very good. Small appetizer plate too. Gyros cut a little thick and still very fatty. But nice service and reasonable prices. There are also more frequent sports broadcasts.

Fast table service, clean toilets. The food came quickly. The quantity was generous and the price was reasonable. Maybe too fatty, but that was to be expected, after all, fat is the best flavor carrier, and the taste was great. It is quite loud at rush hour. All in all pleasant and I'll be back.

Outstanding, extremely child-friendly service, incredibly delicious food and a very pleasant atmosphere in the store. We had beetroot and baked sheep's cheese first. For the main course, lamb kebabs with rice and salad first. Absolutely awesome, we were definitely not there for the last time. By the way, it's difficult to come by spontaneously - the store is always busy and for good reason!

I've been searching for a good moussaka in Hamburg for a long time, and I finally found it at this restaurant. The moussaka was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food overall was truly delicious. Highly recommend!

That was really disappointing. Had two lamb souvlaki and gyros, the food was extremely lame and very bland. When I asked if I could have some more oregano, I was told it was already in the food. In the end I had lamb (ordered medium well and received raw) and gristly gyros, which I have eaten better in a Greek "snack bar". The tzatziki also had no bang. So you wouldn't be able to recognize any of the food because it's just a bland monotony. Fries were seasoned ok. There was also an ouzo with the bill. Staff is normally friendly. Toilet facilities are very clean. I like to go to Greek restaurants often, so my rating may be a little stricter. And no matter what you do, order or request for the invoice, everything happens. 2nd attempt 06/24 Lamb souvlaki with gyros, fries and tzatziki. All the food was better than on the first visit, there was a lot going on that day, today it's raining and it's rather empty. Staff is not that attentive but friendly. What's really a shame is that you won't find pepperoni in a salad; coleslaw, which is actually known in Greece, is limited to a teaspoon. Everything is kind of business as usual. In any case, only the stove has fire here.

Top shop! Clear menu (which is meant as a positive point) with typical Greek specialties without any frills. Cozy atmosphere and always well attended. Reservation can therefore be an advantage. Very friendly service, delicious food and good beer. It can be that simple sometimes. Jamas!

Rarely seen anything as bad as this restaurant. Zero ambience, 5 grumpy-looking employees who just keep walking back and forth in the almost empty restaurant - the only nice and positive thing was the young lady from the service. The food had nothing to do with traditional Greek cuisine and that's how it tasted. A huge disappointment and not recommended.

Seldom eaten as badly as here. We ended up there spontaneously for lunch, I had grilled squid with a side salad for 13.50 euros. First there was a vegetable soup. The squid smelled very fishy that I was briefly worried about eating them. I still ate them with lots of lemon because I was hungry. My companion had gyros with Metaxa sauces. We were both very disappointed with the poor taste and lack of quality. Reminded us a lot of canteen food, with the theme of Greek week. Maybe less selection would make sense and instead high quality products would make sense. I rarely give so few points, but unfortunately I can't help it here. The service was attentive and friendly.

Food is traditional, sadly so is the service. Unusual to see so many people smoking cigarettes while they actually work (? Not the healthiest or cleanest way to work) Are there no health regulations in Hamburg? Tokenistic Greek cuisine. Stuck in a time warp for 50 years. Greeks would think twice about eating here. Plays on its location. Hamburg has some great restaurants. This isn’t one of them. Leave it for the local lower/middle management staff parties!

The food was delicious and the waitresses were friendly. The only thing that bothers me is the very narrow placement of the tables. I think it would be good if the restaurant created a little more space so that the neighboring table doesn't have to move when you get up.

Sehr vielseitiger Mittagstisch in gepflegter Atmosphäre, außerordentlich freundliche Bedienung, Speisen in hoher Qualität. Der Weg in die Taverna Oympisches Feuer lohnt sich immer.

Waren zu viert hier, das Essen war, inklusive der Vorspeisen, super lecker. Preis Leistungs Verhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Nettes Personal! Etwas laut, aber es war auch voll besetzt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Tasty, tasty, tasty. The gyros is amazing, service is superfriendly and prices are fair.

Fleischplatte war zu trocken und ziemlich belanglos. Auch das Gyros geht besser gewürzt. Ein Klassiker auf dem Schulterblatt, daher ist das Publikum auch 50+. Flotter Service, aber zu eng bestuhlt.

Naja, etwas zu teuer für diese Qualität. Kein Ort wo ich nochmal einkehren würde..

Nette Bedingungen, Essen war lecker und Preise super. Wir kommen jedes Jahr hierher und immer wieder hoch zufrieden Schön das es sich manches nicht ändert. Auch 2023 noch gut, nur abends sollte man reservieren.

Super leckeres Essen serviert von ganz freundlichen und aufmerksamen Bedienungen! Wir waren zum Mittagstisch dort und sind sehr zufrieden. Preis-Leistung stimmt absolut! Wir empfanden es sorgar eher günstig für Hamburg. Ambiente war rustikal, Umgebung und Toilette sehr sauber! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Gutes und auch echtes griechisches Restaurant. Etwas hochpreisig aber gute Ware. Die gemischte Fischplatte war hervorragend.

Sehr nette Bedienung, Restaurant ist gemütlich, Freitag abends ziemlich laut (normal für einen Laden auf der Schanze). Die nicht veganen Gerichte sollen super lecker sein, von den veganen gefüllten Paprika war ich leider sehr enttäuscht.

Tolles urigen Lokal. Waren jetzt schon öfter hier und es war immer gut. Es ist sehr viel los, wir hatten aber bisher immer Glück mit Plätzen. Die Portionen sind groß und auch auf extra Wünsche wird problemlos eingegangen

Super Mittagsmenü und große Portionen

Das Essen war super lecker und das Personal extrem freundlich, außerdem war das Essen echt schnell da. Die Portionen waren nicht zu klein und auch nicht zu groß. top.

Gyros waren mir zu fett...... mag ich nicht.

Super lecker und eine gute Auswahl an Speisen.

Ich war zwischendurch ein paar Jahre nicht mehr da und war überrascht vom neuen Aussehen. Die meisten Trikots fehlen! Das Essen ist aber weiterhin lecker und der Service ist prima. Die Gyros-Esser in der Runde waren sogar so hingerissen, dass sie trotz unserer sehr regelmäßigen Griechen-Besuche in div. Restaurants sagen, das Ofeuer habe das beste Gyros im Großraum Hamburg. Ich hatte Calamari, die sind ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert. Der Gratis-Ouzo zur Rechnung ist auch deutlich besser als der in vielen anderen Restaurants.

Ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Aber immer noch gut. Essen war sehr lecker.
