Delicious schnitzel! Not deep-fried, but hand-fried. We're frequent customers and always satisfied. The liver is excellent too. Jochen and his wife always have everything under control and are always friendly and cheerful! We love coming here every time 😀 Of course, they're also happy to stop by for just a beer or two. You can easily spend quite a while relaxing on the comfortable and super-padded bar stools.

We were there for the first time today, and we have to say it was top-notch. Very warm and welcoming, as one would expect in the Ruhr region. The food was well-kept, and the service was very loving. Kudos to the host...we'd love to come back.

We were in the Altes Brauhaus for the first time today, the atmosphere is rustic and cozy. The service was totally relaxed and friendly. We had a surprise platter for 4 people, super tasty, and we were all fed up. We were all absolutely thrilled. If there were more than 5 stars you would have earned them. As threatened, this wasn't the last time😉😜.

We have never experienced such lovely hosts. We happened to come in here at 10 p.m. And we were hungry after 5 hours of driving. We were brought a schnitzel with fries and salad, even though the kitchen was cold. Today we're back to eat. Back to Hamburg tomorrow. Guys, go there and see for yourself... To make it short first. The restaurant is simply great. The food is good and served in a friendly manner. We spent a very nice evening here and were simply satisfied. - What more could you want? This was my first visit, but definitely won't be the last. Unfortunately I don't have any photos, but there are some here.

The food was excellent - the traditional dishes are freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. I can especially recommend the veal liver, the meat platter and the pljeskavica! The service was friendly, attentive and really made us feel welcome. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right here. There were 9 of us there from start to finish, everyone gave 100%. From the large grill plate for 4 people to the schnitzel (large portion so everyone will be full) were very tasty and the dessert was great. We were there for the second time now and have never been disappointed. We will definitely come back more often.

One of the cleanest, oldest bar restaurants I've been in. The gentleman of the restaurant greeted us in only what I can say, 'Ruhrpott-Herzlichkeit'. Humor and a big smile. He was a very good waiter and host. His wife in the kitchen made wonderful food. It is a joy to know that restaurants like this still exist. And we will be back for more. Thanks.

Innkeepers of the old caliber with an overall picture that has unfortunately become rare. It's a pleasure to be a guest here and we stopped here for a delicious meal on the way to Iserlohn, completely unplanned. It was time to take a deep breath after visiting the Advent market in Mülheim, our fellow guests at the next table had the same need after visiting the Dortmund Christmas market and were on their way to Osnabrück. That's actually the basic restaurant experience, we felt very comfortable with the well-kept beer and delicious food.

The restaurant is highly recommended, decorated like a cozy mountain hut and with a pleasant bartender behind the bar. I had the schnitzel with mushrooms and it was very tasty and a large portion. Be sure to visit us again.

Beautiful, rustic Dortmund inn, with a nice bar at the front and freshly tapped beer and plenty of tables around it including a hall for celebrating. Went there to meet up with a friendship that has lasted over 30 years and we were both very impressed by the typical Ruhrpot charm, the friendly, friendly service and the delicious food. The Krefeld in the best mixture did the rest! For me there was veal liver with onions and apples, plus fried potatoes as a special request and it was a poem. No lie - I haven't eaten with such appetite and enjoyment in a long time. My mother may forgive me, but that was by far the best liver of my life!!! We liked to say this again and again!!! My dear companion had a vegetarian feast and was no less enthusiastic. The greeting from the kitchen is also delicious, with delicious, fatty fried food. We'll come back and tell you how good it was.

We ate schnitzel with asparagus there today. Everything was very tasty and sumptuous. We were allowed to put together the salad ourselves from the salad bar. Everything was fresh and delicious. It wasn't the last time we were there! Gladly again!

Went there today, the ambience is still in the 80s style, it was there before in 1981, it looked the same as it did back then, the service was quite nice, I had the grill plate, I used rice instead of Djuvec, fries were also OK, but the neck steak was tough, the skewer was More than fried just like Cevapcici, unfortunately everything was unseasoned. It's a shame, my wife had the mushroom schnitzel, which was completely OK. Unfortunately it's bad for wheelchair users because there are a few steps you have to overcome to get to the entrance.

This evening we happened to end up at the “Altes Brauhaus” and it was great. Such a ² nice atmosphere! The old building was brought into shape both inside and out and furnished discreetly, modernly, comfortably and tastefully. On the asphalt in front of the entrance you are greeted in the dark by an original dancing projection of the local name "Altes Brauhaus" :-) The food was really tasty and very filling, almost unbearable, and we were kindly offered a doggy bag straight away. Football fans also got their money's worth. There is a flat screen in the back of the restaurant, but it didn't cause any acoustic problems. The staff is friendly and funny :-D If we have anything to do in Dortmund again, we will definitely come back.
