Simply fantastic! We visited this Italian pizzeria today and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the staff is so friendly and attentive. The pizzas were an absolute dream - the dough was perfectly thin and crispy, the ingredients were fresh and aromatic. A true piece of Italy in the middle of Dortmund! We'll definitely be back. Pizza was very good, service was like that, ordered pizza rolls twice, didn't get them and then more or less asked to leave to clear the table for the next people.

I don't know how to describe the taste of my pizza. (The one with pistachio pesto and chili jam) Brutal, heavenly, intense - simply every bite is a pleasure/a taste explosion! It's a real shame that a few people came out unsatisfied. In one of the comments, the owner even agreed with the negative review, which shows great character. Without a reservation, we still spontaneously got a seat, even though we had two small children with us - other restaurants would probably have said it wasn't suitable. (Children are known to often not eat much loudly and make a lot of mess 😁) The boss and all faces were very friendly, courteous and quick. Today was the first and definitely not the last time ❤️🍉

The pizza tastes like Italy, just as it should. When I visited, all the tables were full, so I took the pizza home and enjoyed it while watching TV. Pizza tastes good and the fully occupied tables prove that.

I want to make this absolutely visible. Rating from 1 to 10. 1 is the worst and 10 is the best. Topping 2 out of 10 Pizza base 4 out of 10 Tomato sauce 1 out of 10 Optics 4 out of 10 Cola was cold. The style of pizza should be airy and anything but dry. Unfortunately it was dry and ended up with rubber in the mouth. The tomato sauce was without any love. You could say, open the can and put it on. The worst was the tuna, old and dry. My better half was very happy with the mozzarella, and she was also very dissatisfied with the base! The best thing and what I love very much is super cold Cola and every bottle there was super cold!!! Last but not least, everything was very clean!!!

The toppings are also really tasty, high quality and really worth the high price. The service is very accommodating. The ambience is also OK, everything is clean and attractively furnished. The pizza is great. I've already been to Naples and it's definitely up to par. The service is mediocre because there is just too much going on. It doesn't seem like the employees have time for the visitors. Although the wait is already long. It's best not to go completely hungry. A good tip is to reserve in advance.

Very tasty pizza. A little longer waiting time, but that was already announced when we made the reservation, so that's okay. The service was great, we got a table and the cards straight away. The drinks came quickly and the two pizzas took a while to arrive, but everything was ok. Quality wise it was a 10/10. high quality ingredients and perfect dough. The price/performance ratio is great. We will definitely come back and hope to be served by Nonno again. Grazie ragazzi!

But if I become a regular customer, I don't want to be criticized for my factual criticism if something changes... because what I read here as a reaction to a regular customer's review honestly makes me feel like pizza again. I always thought regular customers were the heart of a good restaurant. But the answer sounds more like, I don't care about you, the hype carries everything. In addition, their answer reveals that the critic has completely hit the nail on the head...he's just honestly saying what regular customers, all of whom could be his family, think about it. And of course it is his right to express this here. ... And then the answer for several regular customers is wrong. If you take criticism to heart, you would be happy to receive such criticism from regular customers... it's okay for them too if a medium called Holle speaks positively of them. Then it's clear when he says they're better than everyone else and he alone speaks for all pizzerias in Germany. You're happy to accept it, right? Pfff

I've been eating there for many, many years. As is unfortunately so often the case, things have developed in a negative direction. This is a factual criticism. The makers of the pizzeria - the Mandellino family - are welcome to take this criticism to heart, or not. Unfortunately, since the hype, the core product - the Neapolitan pizza - has steadily deteriorated. Unfortunately, the last few times the dough was no longer what you were used to. The edge doesn't open up as much and is no longer as porous and soft. Unfortunately, it was too often a bit tough, harder, and you had to buy it for a long time to swallow it. Unfortunately, I have experienced it several times now that the pizza was soaked in tomato sauce, as if you were eating a can of tomatoes. Less cheese - more tomato sauce, very disappointing. This is not the quality that we know from before. Personally, I can only assume that something has been changed in the product. Maybe I was just unlucky and had stupid days. But it's obvious that something has changed. Unfortunately, the prices and the abolition of the small 26cm pizza are also negative. Since Mr Pizza became hyped, it has become more of a mass fare where maximizing profits is the priority. And unfortunately the product suffered as a result. As sorry as I am, some regulars will confirm this. I have many friends in my circle who have also made this observation. I don't even want to talk about the prices anymore. But with the current quality, the price is absolutely no longer justified. Unfortunately, you pay for the hype. I can understand that inflation has made everything more expensive, but not to the extent that prices have currently developed in correlation to the changed quality of the product. This is absolutely out of proportion.

We were at Mr. Pizza with four adults and one child We were warmly welcomed and the family atmosphere immediately picked us up. The service is friendly, courteous, and quick. Mr Pizza is rightly one of the best pizzerias in Germany. Here you get 100% authentic Neapolitan pizza! Rounded off with homemade dessert, you really get everything that pleases your palate here. You should definitely reserve in advance. We'll be back!

The online ordering is very well organized and the pizzas were ready on time. We didn't have to wait even though it was very busy. We weren't disappointed. The pizza tastes incredibly delicious. Was on August 18th, 2024 and ordered two pizzas to take away at exactly 6:20 p.m. We were told it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. Exactly after 1 hour of waiting we asked about our orders, the service person said they had forgotten us. After 1 hour and 10 minutes we received our order. The pizza bread was ok, very very little toppings and lots of tomato sauce. It was muddy. One star for service because she was very friendly.

Given the good reviews and relatively high prices, we expected a lot. The pizza was OK, but unfortunately not anymore. Although I like the dough to be rather soft, this was too soft and rather undercooked. Although all the pizzas were a bit black.........but that didn't bother us. My wife and sister said the same thing. A few days before we had eaten the same pizza near Dortmund's Poco. It was much cheaper and much better! Once again proof that more expensive doesn't always mean better!

The pizza was great and the service was great too. Since everything is quite small and everything had to be open due to the hot weather, one star was deducted because the main street was then directly “inside the restaurant”. But that is definitely a special case: highly recommended. We'll be back.

Mega awesome pizza and in so many variations. I became aware of the shop because of Holle and the pizza definitely met my expectations. I chose the version with brocolli pesto instead of tomato sauce and was thrilled with the unique pizza. But what was immediately noticeable negatively were the waiting times, you definitely have to expect a 1 hour waiting time here. If not even more. Atmosphere was also relatively unpleasant as it was very loud. The waiter, on the other hand, was nice and guided us through the menu very well. All in all, definitely an experience and I will definitely come back. But of course the volume is still an aspect that can spoil the experience a little.

At the beginning it was good there. Today, however, was very rude. Food comes late and ice cold, and the tomato sauce was very spicy (children can't eat it). Following a recommendation, we went here to try your pizza - I particularly wanted to try the Neapolitan pizza. We got a table outside with a last-minute reservation. Despite the fact that the store was very full, we were served quickly, drinks were received and orders were taken. The menu has a large selection of typical and more creative pizza specialties; only 32cm pizzas are offered here. I chose a Neapolitan Margerita, which almost knocked me out of my chair with how delicious it was. A thick crust with grilled aroma, wafer-thin but not soggy dough and probably homemade tomato sauce with an impressive amount of cheese and some basil. My friends also loved their pizzas. I don't know if I can go for pizza anywhere else right now - I don't live nearby. The best pizza I've ever had. And the wine is also delicious and extremely affordable. Excellent

We've been there several times... In Dortmund, no one beats the pizza from Mr Pizza. Not even 60 Seconds to Napoli, although they are extremely good!

The ingredients were all fresh and very, very good. It wasn't just the food that impressed us. The service was also very good and attentive. The waiters were very warm and unobtrusive. The restaurant is quite small and seems to be very busy. In any case, it is advisable to reserve a table. We'll definitely come back again. 😊

First of all: I love the pizza! I was a regular customer there for years. Unfortunately, on my last visit I discovered that they only offer the pizza in one size. There used to be small, medium and large. (something for every type of hunger) Then there was medium and large. (also good) Now it's only available in large sizes and, even though the pizza is simply amazing, it's no longer a place to go for us. It's just too big for some people so you can't finish it. Unfortunately it's too good and too expensive for me to throw away.

We didn't expect it to be so full and luckily we reserved ahead of time. For €37 you get a great dinner and leave the store quickly and happily! Food is a matter of taste... Pizza is great, but I like my pizza with jalapenos & Tabasco. Unfortunately, both were no longer available. You are supposed to call, but the receiver is always off the hook, so you always find it busy. So calling is rather pointless. I'm used to better service at MrPizza. Bottom line: I might stop by when I'm in the area. But I certainly won't do any extra driving from here to there anymore. Too bad.
