Great restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. They serve classic pub fare. The food was very good, and the prices were absolutely fair. The service was absolutely top-notch. We'll be back.

We didn't really like it here. It's loud and uncomfortable. The food looked really great, but when all you want to do at a brewery is drink beer and feel unwelcome, it's weird. One had the feeling of mass processing.

Great food And served very quickly after ordering

While on vacation in Koblenz and looking for a nice place to eat, I came across this restaurant on Google. It's located near the Church of Our Lady. It's a large restaurant, in my opinion. It was very busy, but I was asked if I wanted to sit at a table with two gentlemen. No problem for me 😃 I was also asked what I wanted quite quickly, and the beer and food (a good portion of Jägerschnitzel with fries) arrived after a short wait 👍🏻 I had a good chat with the two gentlemen. The food was very tasty and perfectly sufficient for me; I couldn't have eaten a side salad. I'm satisfied with the value for money 😊 If I'm ever in Koblenz again, I'd gladly come back 💯 The only downside is that the restaurant is only accessible on foot, and parking is difficult to find nearby 😔

The most delicious schnitzel I have ever tried. The portion is very generous and the price is still in range. After finishing the meal, there wasn't any room for having desert. Atmosphere of the place is quite well decorated. Had good time and definitely recommended. Biers + schnitzel 🤌🤌🤌🤌

Went to the Deutschen Eck at the weekend and were looking for a restaurant in the city at lunchtime, relatively inconspicuous from the outside but the full restaurant appealed to me. Extremely nice, competent staff, super tasty food, the food was delivered quickly, the portions were large and completely fair to today's prices in the restaurant.

Good beer, down-to-earth good food at a fair price

We went there spontaneously during our vacation on Easter Sunday. We still got a place. It was great friendly service. The restaurant was occupied except for the space and was always occupied again immediately. The meal was excellent!! We can only recommend it.

The service was very courteous, quick and reliable. The amount of food was too much for us. But the price/performance wasn't right at all, the schnitzel was the cheapest frozen meat and the sauces weren't really tasty. I imagine something different when it comes to brewery food. If you just want to have a drink, this isn't a bad place for you

The experience was okay overall. The staff was very efficient and attentive, which definitely stood out. The beer was good, nothing particularly special, and I wouldn’t recommend ordering the Aperol tho. The food was delicious, but the portions were extremely large—definitely something to keep in mind. The restaurant itself isn’t particularly nice in terms of atmosphere or decor, but the prices are very reasonable

Typical brewery with attentive staff. My Jägerschnitzel was great! My wife's asparagus wasn't cooked through, it could happen, it was really full there on Good Friday.

We waited for over an hour to get our food. Food was nothing special. The service was horrible: not friendly, asked for a tip explicitly. We made a reservation for 2 but had 2 other people sitting at our table. Really weird and not a nice experience. Too expensive for what it is. I don’t get the good rating. Would not go again and would definitely not recommend.

I had the grill plate: Grilled beef steak was medium rare and the pork and pork steak was nice and juicy. Portion size was just right. Price/performance was top. The waitress was super nice and friendly Rustic atmosphere that invites you to linger.

The service was... What service actually? In principle, you were not asked about the size of food or drink. The steaks were also not asked about the degree of doneness. The sauces tasted like ready-made sauce. The beer and pepper sauces did not taste as described. The schnitzels were tough. The steaks were completely cooked through on one side and still bloody on the other side. Something like that doesn't work at all. But maybe that saves you the question about the degree of doneness. The fries were not salted. The beans were salted with bacon. The beans were overcooked, soggy, dry and old. The beans also had an indefinable, disgusting taste. When the next table was occupied, you could no longer get up from your table and walk away because the guests at the next table were sitting flush with our table. I was just using the toilet and on the way back I couldn't sit down in my seat because the other guests were sitting close to our table. And that even though I would have liked to have dessert or finished my drink. So we were forced to leave. When we cleared the dishes we didn't ask if everything was OK, just if we were finished. Overall, the price/performance ratio was also very poor. We therefore do not recommend this restaurant at all.

The cured beef dish was very salty. The waitress asked for a tip but she only did her job. When we told her no tip and salty food, she showed angry attitude. Tipping is not mandatory in Germany as I understand it. So we were discriminated as foreigners.

Lovely Brauhause to have lunch like the locals do. But I didn’t go for Beer & Shots at noon 😆 Yet, the ambiance was lively so early in the day, and crowds coming in while we were seated. Delicious food that came in enormous portions. We had our work finishing it all. Extreme value for money!

Very rustic location with very nice and fast staff. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we only had to wait about 10 minutes and that too with a cold beer in our hand. The food tastes delicious and the portions are really decent. And the beer is really good and you don't have to wait longer than 1 minute for a refill 😉 Definitely worth a visit.

Portions are more than plentiful. The service is very friendly and very quick. Moni and Tati put a lot of effort into it. You can see that they love it. The atmosphere is very cozy. So you like to take the SEV from Bonn to eat there.

The food was super tasty. I like to eat my steak well done and it was cooked to perfection and not tough or dry. The service was simply great. I deducted a star for the ambience because the tables are very close together and it gets very loud. But it's definitely worth another visit.

I was there on a Tuesday evening. The food was very tasty and the XL portion is really an XL portion, see picture. The schnitzels were tender and perfectly fried. The fried potatoes were not too big but not too small pieces either. Perfectly seasoned and seared. The service was also perfect. You can't complain about the old brewery

Very tasty food and excellent service. Everything was great and in order 👍👍👍 It was the same 3 years ago. Today the knuckle of pork was very dry; I thought it was deep-fried or completely over-grilled. Unfortunately, there was hardly any of the good flavor... Large glasses of 0.5 liters or more aren't very customer-friendly either. After today, I wouldn't eat here again. My companion had a schnitzel, which she found to be OK. It's a shame it's gone down so much. The ambiance is still great, and the staff was okay.

Typische, urige Brauhaus- Atmosphäre. Nettes, aufmerksames Personal. Wir hatten reserviert und wurden freundlich empfangen. Trotz Hochbetrieb wurde das Essen schnell serviert. Reichhaltige Speisekarte u.a. Schnitzel in allen Variationen und verschiedenen Größen (L/ 2 Schnitzel - XL/ 3 Schnitzel) Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

There are exceptionally huge and, above all, tasty portions here. Friendly employees who are nice, even if short, even under extreme stress. Sure, in the end our bill came to €100 for 2 people, which is amazing. We could have avoided saying “Only the tough ones go into the garden” because that came at the same time as our main meal.

On our city trip to Koblenz we decided on the “Alte Brauhaus”. And that was a brilliant decision. Absolutely great atmosphere paired with a very friendly team and very tasty food. We had a very nice evening. Absolute recommendation.

Everything was great...food, service staff, everything around... Except for the toilets...when you came in it smelled like the elevators at the train stations. We should see that this is changed. Even in British pubs this no longer happens. Otherwise everything was great.

My husband and I are from California and we were traveling down the Rhine on a river cruise. We had the opportunity to stop in Koblenz. We decided that we wanted an authentic German dinner experience. While walking around the old town, we noticed the Altes Brauhaus down a side street. It looked really interesting so we walked by it and noticed it was full of people. We waited in line and even though it was packed, they were happy to seat us. We were concerned about not knowing the language and not being able to read the menu but we were pleasantly surprised to find out they had menus in English and staff that spoke English. The restaurant was full of people. German was being spoken all around us but we were made to feel right at home. The food was delicious! It was authentic German food and the best we’ve ever had! The wine and beer were also very good! We will remember our German dinner for many years to come. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Check your receipt!!!😡😡😡 I paid by card without any special instructions during the ordering process, but there was an extra drink on the receipt. I got a cash refund because the card could not be cancelled😤😤😤 The haksen was delicious, but this is a famous schnitzel restaurant.

I recommend this restaurant because it's a comfortable place, even though there's a constant coming and going. The food is served quickly and the value is good.

Were there late afternoon on a Saturday. We called half an hour in advance and got a table for 4 at short notice, but only for an hour. It was very crowded. The food was okay, nothing special. The service tried hard but was overwhelmed by the many guests and therefore forgot a drink.

On Monday I tried to eat at the restaurant with my partner, without a reservation. It was packed, only room at the high tables on bar stools. Given our relatively old age, this was really not an option. Okay, we made a reservation for Tuesday evening and received confirmation that we were welcome from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Upon arrival, we could only get a seat on the high stools again. Or at a terrible table near the entrance and only until 7:00 PM. It seems that two people are not really welcome here. The reception was rude and uninterested. We just left.

The waiters are very arrogant and disrespectful. Not worth to be tipped. Guys, you're paid to do your job, if you have any disrespect, just keep it inside, don't show it to your customers!

The food was OK. Unfortunately the portions are very, very large. I think a beer for €5.90 is just too much. I didn't choose based on taste, but rather based on smaller portions. I find that very unfortunate. The two of us left €75 behind. 2 meals, each beer and a drink. That's just too expensive.

Good brewery, you get a lot for your money. The service is super nice and the food comes very quickly. Today the dish was not perfectly chosen. The baked ham was a bit dry. Otherwise I can only recommend other dishes. The atmosphere is quite nice, something more rustic would be perfect. Overall, everything is highly recommended.

Great ambiance and probably one of the bust pubs in Koblenz. The beer was outstanding. For food: Great schweinhaxe. Schnitzels were amazing. We had soup and salad too, which was okay.

Historic place in Koblenz, we ended up reading recommendations and reviews and were not disappointed in the slightest by the food. The schnitzel was perfectly cooked, and I confirm that the sauerbraten is perhaps one of the best I have ever tasted. The portions are generous, and the quality-price ratio is really good. The menu is very large and can be intimidating for non-German speakers. The service doesn't exude friendliness, but it is efficient and relatively quick. At the entrance to the bathroom, there was a lady sitting asking for money (I didn't understand if she had to pay, but in any case I didn't have any change and I went in anyway).

Unfortunately, ready-made powder mashed potatoes were served. The sauce was quite salty and probably also a ready-made sauce (binder). Good sauerkraut, but quite salty. Average rough Sausage, why do additional flavor enhancers have to be put in there? Unfortunately, the coleslaw was swimming in the sauce to the puree. The cutlery was clean, but the service was extremely rude and spoke very quietly. No time was given to guests, very unprofessional. Fast food, warm food (not hot), Ambience not harmonious, kitschy, music inappropriate. Toilets absolutely dirty, toilet doors broken. Paper dispenser defective. Few guests, boring service. Absolutely no recommendation in my opinion!

Unfortunately, one of our drinks still had fresh lipstick on the glass - which makes you question the hygiene in the establishment. And, if you work in the healthcare system like I do, you know what can be stolen from a restaurant if dishes, glasses, etc. are not prepared properly - scary. The staff wasn't particularly attentive or friendly either.
