Great location and great beer garden! I was able to celebrate my 40th birthday with Florian and his team and everyone was absolutely thrilled! Great value for money, service, food and drinks!

Proprietary doesn't deserve a star at all ☹️ We had reserved a table for 5 people on Sunday 13. We were placed in the middle of a table with strangers around it. We weren't even sitting directly across from each other, so we couldn't communicate with each other. If your hut is full, you have to organize yourself differently. Too bad!!!!

Today, November 1st, 2024, we went to EAT again at the Alten Wirt Ramersdorf. Everything was very good again. The service was great despite the crowds. Many thanks to our waitress Jürgen. Very professional and friendly. See you soon U.& H.J. farmer

Delicious Bavarian cuisine, draft beer, great atmosphere, reasonable prices

The food was very tasty and arrived relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that good that day (Sunday) because it was very, very busy and therefore probably very stressed. Our waitress was still very friendly, but we sat there for a long time with empty glasses and it took a long time until we got to pay. On the subject of location, I think it's just an inn. It's relatively easy to reach and cheap compared to other restaurants.

I've been there a few times eating white sausages so far everything was ok, but today there were 4 of us. 2 people are still having problems, I had problems eating them, the sausages tasted good, my friend thinks it was the mustard, I don't know what it was But unfortunately the topic is over here for now

The inn is convivial and the quality of the food is appropriate in relation to the price. Unfortunately, something usually goes wrong. What is typical is that the food doesn't come at the same time or you don't get anything to drink because the responsible waitress doesn't come anymore. Other waitresses stand around looking bored but are not responsible. The supplement was also missing and was delivered late. I've known the restaurant business for two years now and can't see any improvement in that time - summer in the beer garden and winter. Too bad.

Sunday, church fair, full house. Service under pressure. Thanks to a reservation, we got a nice table (at the bar, by the wooden barrel). Service very friendly and quick. Despite the high demand, the food came quickly and tasted great. Duck was a dream and the friends also thought their dishes (liver, pork) were very good. Prices are fair and we are looking forward to the promotions that will come because WE will definitely be back. Many thanks to Christian and his crew.

Quaint Bavarian tavern with beer from wooden barrels

Very good old Bavarian economy, nice conditions, reasonable prices, it's also worth going for drinks as there is Bavarian cosiness and rustic get-togethers, there are sometimes good promotions, especially during the week. Breakfast with sausages, white sausages and other things or every last Tuesday of the month from autumn to spring. It's nice that there is such an economy

Super nice service, very, very well attended, at lunchtime and in the evening there is little in larger groups without a reservation, rustic Bavarian style, varied menu...of everything - including exceptional dishes such as veal heart, spleen, liver etc....Schäufele was delicious...duck and goose dinner was sensational and completely okay in terms of price! Reservation requests receive a quick response via email, beer is sensational! In short: Great👌🏼

I can only judge the gastronomy and it is great. The waiters are 90% top, the food is super tasty and the prices are incredibly fair. The only thing that's a shame is that you now have to pay to take food with you and that you can eat at Sc You have to pay for the trip per person. It's just always too much and that for four would be great for five people. But then you have to pay more again and accordingly get more schnitzel. So it never works ^^. But as I said, great for the price. Take Tupperware with you :D.

It's always a highlight, especially when there are promotional white sausages. Great atmosphere!

Despite a lack of staff and a full house and beer garden, we were served very friendly and politely. Small defects were immediately settled by offering replacements. The menu offers something for every taste and is now almost unique in Munich in terms of price/performance. Hopefully it stays that way and we'll become regulars!

We were there with a group of 38 people and unfortunately we really can't recommend it. We had ordered a set meal in advance for everyone (schnitzel with fries and soup beforehand). The soup was good and came fairly quickly, but then the problems started. First, one person didn't have a spoon for the soup, which they had to get themselves after asking a waitress. The waitress who was asked to do this didn't seem like she ever intended to bring this spoon. For the main course there was enough cutlery for everyone, but there were two schnitzels missing that were simply not brought, even though the number of people who would eat was announced in advance. Simply disappointing!

We were here for a white sausage breakfast in the beer garden. When we arrived we were told that it was not possible to leave the stroller at the table and that we should put it away. It could have been expressed in a different tone. The waiter for our table, in addition to his rude manner, managed to forget a few orders and skillfully ignored several requests. So much for the waiter. When we asked another waiter for sweet mustard, he replied with "No, we don't have any after 12!". We thought it was a joke and played along. At the end he asked us to ask other tables for sweet mustard. I've only eaten the white sausage here so far and can't comment on the quality of the main courses. The white sausages are great and cheap, but they ultimately come from Magnus Bell and not from the old innkeeper.

Was here again today with my son, had Schnitzel Trilogie and Isarschnitzel with fried potatoes, both super tasty and large portions, service was also friendly and fast! Absolutely recommended!

Sorry, but unfortunately I can't confirm the reviews listed below. Recessions were probably posted by people I know. The roast pork was completely dried out, the 2 small dumplings apparently never saw anything other than the cooking pot. The coleslaw was gone, which was immediately returned. Schnitzel ok, not exactly a hit either, but edible. Then the waiter complains about it Not enough tip, 30e for 10 people... I wonder what is appropriate...?

Warning to everyone! The service was great, the wait times were short and the beer was good too. But the food? The dumplings with mushroom sauce were a disappointment. The dumplings were tiny and swimming in a watery broth that was on the verge of overflowing. Greetings from the hospital meal. The chicken and potato salad was cold, had been reheated for hours, and was so dry that the free pretzels that were generously provided were juicier. The Allgäu loin pan was another disappointment. Two burnt, dry slices of pork that had probably been waiting somewhere at the bus stop for hours. Including a mush that reminded me of the typical prison film scenes in which you get a pea stew slapped on you. After a painstaking search, I found one or two cheese spaetzles fighting a battle against some mushrooms. I'll spare you the rest.

Great, just two bus stops from Ostbahnhof. You can get very easily in all directions using public transport. The room we had, although small, was very clean and quiet. The restaurant is highly recommended. Rich and very good quality food. We didn't have breakfast.

Great host of white sausage breakfast then 2€ now 3€ to roast with dumplings and sauce for a little more than 10€ just great and the desserts are all a hit that was my opinion about the food The staff is super nice but they are often exhausted until the end because there is so much going on and it can happen that something gets forgotten like dessert :) but with a quick consultation it was there straight away but under the hat it was super organized and structured (seems like that). In my opinion, since I eat there several times a month) my regulars are the best anyway :) big praise and here's to more good meals

Great food in a Bavarian atmosphere Update Summer '24: Still cozy - but you have to make major compromises when it comes to food: bland, barely seasoned food that has also lost a lot of weight - but has become really expensive. Unfortunately, compared to before, it is no longer necessarily recommended. The “Old Innkeeper” lost us as guests. Really a shame!

Was there several times for lunch with customers. A great, authentic atmosphere, inside and out. Fast and friendly service. Typically Bavarian selection of food, tasty and large portions. Events, such as eating suckling pig (then of course you have to be in Munich...). This is how you feel comfortable in Munich.

A very rustic inn that has not lost its charm. The staff is very attentive and the food (schnitzel) is impressive. The portions are also enough to fill you up ;-) and the prices are completely reasonable and not exorbitant. Good home cooking - definitely a recommendation.

Had a piece of one-a-month grilled baby pork. Food and beer is good. There are so many pricer beer gardens in Munich but this one is an exception. Service is not what you expect.

It was great service, food and generally just nice

The food, especially the Cordon Bleu, was well priced for a Monday. The service was very friendly and everything went quickly. What bothered me personally, however, was the fact that we ended up having to pay €0.50 for a piece of aluminum foil to wrap up. To be honest, I find that inappropriate, especially when you consider that a whole roll of aluminum foil only costs €2. Here the boss doesn't seem to be getting enough. That's why I only give it 4 stars.

We come from the west of Munich (FFB district) - Ramersdorf really isn't the closest route. Nevertheless, we come here quite often, mostly for breakfast, but also for a quick bite if we happen to be in the area. Yes, the 2.95 for 2 white sausages and a pretzel is a competitive price, but that's not the point. The sausage from the belly is great, the pretzels are delicious, and they definitely don't skimp on quality in favor of the price. This applies not only to breakfast, but also to the rest of the menu – at least for what we have tried so far. It's also great that more exotic offal is offered, which is rare to find. Sure, it's not three-star gourmet cuisine, but the prices here are fair, everything seems fresh, and the price is right. The inside is quite rustic - a tavern, but the beer garden is really nice. The only thing that is sometimes a bit annoying is the somewhat Bavarian-rustic “friendliness” of some(!) employees (although they aren’t always locals…). But I can deal with that well and counter it ;-) And the majority of the employees are very nice. Therefore: full marks!

The Munich breakfast is absolutely recommended! Great price and tastes incredibly good too. The Augustiner from the wooden barrel for just €3.60 is a real treat. Such beer gardens must be preserved for us. Absolute recommendation! P.S. Jürgen has great sneakers

A beer garden as it should be. Everything is correct. We can only recommend the good Augustiner beer and the food. We were in Munich Monday to Friday and at the Altes Wirt every evening. Thanks for the hospitality.

I can only comment on the restaurant and beer garden. I'm there often and sometimes you're lucky and you have a waiter on your toes or it takes forever to get your drinks. In general, the food tastes excellent and the prices are very reasonable. You can't get this almost anywhere in Munich.

So it's already very crowded. You have to bring time. But the food is just great. I ate a roast suckling pig. Good portion. The sauce is to die for. And meat really good. And a very large crust. Aslo I can only recommend it. The roast pork also has a large crust. My colleague ate it and was totally satisfied. All I can say is I'll come back more often. Thank you 😄

Food delicious, service catastrophic. You almost have to beg to be served. Rarely have I experienced such cheeky interaction with guests.

Have now been there for dinner three times in the evening in a smaller group. We generally liked it, once there was too much salt, but it was still ok. In general (especially by the female participants) the selection of vegetarian dishes was viewed as too little. The prices are ok, but differ from the information on the homepage. We noticed it when we had to look on the internet because there was no menu (seems to be a rare commodity). Ordering food was also difficult. Why you can't take the food order straight away when you bring drinks and then run away again only to stop by again after what feels like half an eternity is incomprehensible. In general, the service always seemed very stressed and overwhelmed. Of the three, one was polite and nice, the other two were rude, grumpy and one was even arrogant and arrogant. With an attitude like that, a job as a bouncer might be a better choice, but not in a RESTAURANT.

My wife and I often stop by the old innkeeper when we are in Munich. That it wasn't tasty or that we left unsatisfied has never happened before. The portions are generous and inexpensive and the staff serve you courteously. Only when side dishes were changed did there sometimes be one or two discussions with the waiter, but that's why I don't open the door.

We regularly eat here on Sundays. Today we were there again but it was very loud, louder than usual. Unfortunately, this also affected the service, which was of course a bit stressed and so it sometimes took longer to order and pay. All in all, the Alte Wirt is highly recommended because the food here is really tasty and the ambience is simply great.

The Old Innkeeper is pretty popular again. In the past you could just sit in the beer garden and have a drink, but now you can eat decently and really cheaply (by Munich standards). It's the same innkeeper as in the "Augustiner Drei Mühlen", hence the identical menu. No seating instructions, just sit where you like or where there is still space. Friday evening the store was packed. For the meal: The two of us had the schnitzel triology with two side dishes, salad and sauce and two lager each from a wooden barrel. Price: Unbeatable 41 euros and absolutely full for two. What more could you want?! Update April 24: Now also tested the white sausage breakfast. Really good white sausages from the butcher's belly, crispy pretzels and all at an unbeatable price. The numerous guests apparently like it too. Update August 24: Friday evening: The beer garden was pretty full. The waiters are therefore stressed; There was also a fairly loud group of 12 people. Our waiter was pretty annoyed and let it out to the guests; not OK! Food is always delicious, hot and good!

Schnitzel trip is the most brilliant idea ever!

The white sausage breakfast is a show, super tasty at a great price. Plus Augustiner beer, what more do you need. The beer garden is cozy and relatively quiet. Our waiter was quick, sometimes almost too hectic-stressed and really rude to older people at the next table. But all in all I can recommend the restaurant.

Came at around 5:00 p.m., was alone and had the impression that I wasn't being served. The family at the next table came about 15 minutes after me, were served within 5 minutes, were given 5 cards and were given drinks immediately. After about half an hour of ignoring it, I changed seats, but even there I had the impression that individuals at a table were reluctant to be served. After an older lady sat next to me and we both complained that we weren't being served, we were asked to change seats because our seat wasn't being served...? I chose the place because the other tables were marked as reserved or occupied. We now sat at a table with 6 young people who gave us the 2 free seats. Now it took another 20 minutes until we got the drinks. The waiter only had light beer with him, even though I had ordered shandy, which I took anyway because I was thirsty. I got the food shortly after 6:30 p.m. I got the menu myself from the next table, otherwise I would probably never have gotten anything. All in all, I was very disappointed with this restaurant, as I've had better experiences! The meat from the Bratenpfandl was also just pulled pork, the sauce thickened like plum pudding, the bread dumplings were dried out, I've eaten better there too.

Very cozy beer garden, friendly and attentive service, delicious food.

Yesterday we went to the Weißwurscht breakfast with 10 people at the old inn in Ramersdorf. There's nothing to complain about. The order went very well. The drinks came very quickly and were well chilled. Only the Weißwurscht could have been a little warmer, but we had them hot Water was put back in the bowl and the problem was solved. The second drink order took about a while, but on the holiday (Assumption Day) that was fine and when I look at the culinary menu we will definitely be returning to this cozy Bavarian restaurant soon! 🥨🍻👍

White sausage breakfast highly recommended!

I was there on Saturday for the Weisswurst breakfast and was very satisfied. It tasted excellent in this cozy and not too huge beer garden. The service was also impeccable and the price-performance ratio was very good. I'd love to come back. What I think is particularly positive is that the host takes so much time to answer the reviews individually.

The beer garden is actually a bit hidden, but it's worth a visit: it still has a reasonable price-performance ratio. There is Augustiner: a reasonable beer by Munich standards.

Dad eating is good. But the service is unfriendly. You don't feel like a guest, but rather a disruptive factor. Only one female service worker stood out here; you had the feeling that she enjoyed her job.

We were told by a rude waiter: he was alone and it would take 20 minutes until he could take the order. The same waiter only delivered one of the two meals ordered to the couple next to us and simply forgot the other. After we were supposed to get our food after about an hour of waiting, he wanted to deliver my food to the next table and I would have to come forward and defend my food. Not really such a good waiter!!!

The food is good and the beer is tasty! The beer garden is pleasant. The control panel is also quite good. If the weather is good, you'll have time to spend on the farm. I would like to give the whole thing 5 stars, but I'm deducting it because the waiters are a bit too casual and are far too friendly with you. And if you can't respond verbally, you could quickly feel insulted!
