I can only comment on the restaurant and beer garden. I'm there often and sometimes you're lucky and you have a waiter on your toes or it takes forever to get your drinks. In general, the food tastes excellent and the prices are very reasonable. You can't get this almost anywhere in Munich.

So it's already very crowded. You have to bring time. But the food is just great. I ate a roast suckling pig. Good portion. The sauce is to die for. And meat really good. And a very large crust. Aslo I can only recommend it. The roast pork also has a large crust. My colleague ate it and was totally satisfied. All I can say is I'll come back more often. Thank you 😄

Food delicious, service catastrophic. You almost have to beg to be served. Rarely have I experienced such cheeky interaction with guests.

Have now been there for dinner three times in the evening in a smaller group. We generally liked it, once there was too much salt, but it was still ok. In general (especially by the female participants) the selection of vegetarian dishes was viewed as too little. The prices are ok, but differ from the information on the homepage. We noticed it when we had to look on the internet because there was no menu (seems to be a rare commodity). Ordering food was also difficult. Why you can't take the food order straight away when you bring drinks and then run away again only to stop by again after what feels like half an eternity is incomprehensible. In general, the service always seemed very stressed and overwhelmed. Of the three, one was polite and nice, the other two were rude, grumpy and one was even arrogant and arrogant. With an attitude like that, a job as a bouncer might be a better choice, but not in a RESTAURANT.

My wife and I often stop by the old innkeeper when we are in Munich. That it wasn't tasty or that we left unsatisfied has never happened before. The portions are generous and inexpensive and the staff serve you courteously. Only when side dishes were changed did there sometimes be one or two discussions with the waiter, but that's why I don't open the door.

We were just eating here. Very tasty but you have to bring a lot of time Negative: -Staff completely understaffed -Waited 45 minutes for the waitress, who only took our drinks. We should wait for the food -Drinks still not there after another 30 minutes. After a total of 1.15 hours our food was eaten. -The food came pretty quickly but the drinks still weren't there. -Drinks came just before we finished eating. We regularly eat here on Sundays. Today we were there again but it was very loud, louder than usual. Unfortunately, this also affected the service, which was of course a bit stressed and so it sometimes took longer to order and pay. All in all, the Alte Wirt is highly recommended because the food here is really tasty and the ambience is simply great.

The Old Innkeeper is pretty popular again. In the past you could just sit in the beer garden and have a drink, but now you can eat decently and really cheaply (by Munich standards). It's the same innkeeper as in the "Augustiner Drei Mühlen", hence the identical menu. No seating instructions, just sit where you like or where there is still space. Friday evening the store was packed. For the meal: The two of us had the schnitzel triology with two side dishes, salad and sauce and two lager each from a wooden barrel. Price: Unbeatable 41 euros and absolutely full for two. What more could you want?! Update April 24: Now also tested the white sausage breakfast. Really good white sausages from the butcher's belly, crispy pretzels and all at an unbeatable price. The numerous guests apparently like it too. Update August 24: Friday evening: The beer garden was pretty full. The waiters are therefore stressed; There was also a fairly loud group of 12 people. Our waiter was pretty annoyed and let it out to the guests; not OK! Food is always delicious, hot and good!

Always worth a visit! Price/performance is great. The beer... Augustiner, of course the best in the world. The roast pork was really good. Gladly again and again and again.

Schnitzel trip is the most brilliant idea ever!

Came at around 5:00 p.m., was alone and had the impression that I wasn't being served. The family at the next table came about 15 minutes after me, were served within 5 minutes, were given 5 cards and were given drinks immediately. After about half an hour of ignoring it, I changed seats, but even there I had the impression that individuals at a table were reluctant to be served. After an older lady sat next to me and we both complained that we weren't being served, we were asked to change seats because our seat wasn't being served...? I chose the place because the other tables were marked as reserved or occupied. We now sat at a table with 6 young people who gave us the 2 free seats. Now it took another 20 minutes until we got the drinks. The waiter only had light beer with him, even though I had ordered shandy, which I took anyway because I was thirsty. I got the food shortly after 6:30 p.m. I got the menu myself from the next table, otherwise I would probably never have gotten anything. All in all, I was very disappointed with this restaurant, as I've had better experiences! The meat from the Bratenpfandl was also just pulled pork, the sauce thickened like plum pudding, the bread dumplings were dried out, I've eaten better there too.

Very cozy beer garden, friendly and attentive service, delicious food.

The white sausage breakfast is a show, super tasty at a great price. Plus Augustiner beer, what more do you need. The beer garden is cozy and relatively quiet. Our waiter was quick, sometimes almost too hectic-stressed and really rude to older people at the next table. But all in all I can recommend the restaurant.

Yesterday we went to the Weißwurscht breakfast with 10 people at the old inn in Ramersdorf. There's nothing to complain about. The order went very well. The drinks came very quickly and were well chilled. Only the Weißwurscht could have been a little warmer, but we had them hot Water was put back in the bowl and the problem was solved. The second drink order took about a while, but on the holiday (Assumption Day) that was fine and when I look at the culinary menu we will definitely be returning to this cozy Bavarian restaurant soon! 🥨🍻👍

White sausage breakfast highly recommended!

The beer garden is actually a bit hidden, but it's worth a visit: it still has a reasonable price-performance ratio. There is Augustiner: a reasonable beer by Munich standards.

I was there on Saturday for the Weisswurst breakfast and was very satisfied. It tasted excellent in this cozy and not too huge beer garden. The service was also impeccable and the price-performance ratio was very good. I'd love to come back. What I think is particularly positive is that the host takes so much time to answer the reviews individually.

Dad eating is good. But the service is unfriendly. You don't feel like a guest, but rather a disruptive factor. Only one female service worker stood out here; you had the feeling that she enjoyed her job.

The food is good and the beer is tasty! The beer garden is pleasant. The control panel is also quite good. If the weather is good, you'll have time to spend on the farm. I would like to give the whole thing 5 stars, but I'm deducting it because the waiters are a bit too casual and are far too friendly with you. And if you can't respond verbally, you could quickly feel insulted!

We were told by a rude waiter: he was alone and it would take 20 minutes until he could take the order. The same waiter only delivered one of the two meals ordered to the couple next to us and simply forgot the other. After we were supposed to get our food after about an hour of waiting, he wanted to deliver my food to the next table and I would have to come forward and defend my food. Not really such a good waiter!!!

Spare ribs and cole slaw / coleslaw were nothing, greasy and too much bacon in the salad, atmosphere in the beer garden was cozy, service is getting better, Leyla was great, the other waiters are not interested in working and are rather unfriendly and disorganized, only food since corona Average. Service catastrophe, food catastrophe, not child-friendly, no changing room or possibility to change diapers. I had baked fish, the breading had already fallen apart when I cut it so the cook couldn't even bread it and now the worst thing is the fish was very mushy, frozen fish tastes much better. My wife had veal schnitzel and it was exactly the same, the schnitzel didn't taste like anything. Fries for the children came at the very end, even though fries were served alongside schnitzel or fish. And much more, I don't want to write a novel here, so put it in good German 6

We all had roast pork, our verdict: the coleslaw was tasteless from the bucket, the dumplings were not homemade but bought ready-made. The roast pork and sauce were good and plentiful. Service was quick and friendly but can't you make the ingredients yourself??

The service took some getting used to. A pity.

I had a reservation in my name, we were late and people had already sat down and pretended to be us. The waiter didn't believe us. We then simply went to the self-service area and watched the European Championship final there. A few days later I get a call and am shown an invoice for €80. Those who sat in our place simply didn't pay. Luckily the owner believed us otherwise I would have lost €80. It's a shame that it happened like this. The food was still good, just don't make a reservation.

I had made a reservation, but unfortunately my reservation was “forgotten”, which was told to me in a bad tone by a really rude waiter. I wasn't even offered a replacement table for 2 people or anything like that. But the worst thing was the waiter's tone; I've never been treated like that before.

The service was very good but with such an incompetent kitchen, the best service staff can't do anything right. The food was delivered incorrectly several times and there wasn't that much going on in the beer garden. Our friends finished eating before we had our food. Very unfortunate.

The food was generally good. However, the spare ribs were not that convincing. They had knobs. The portions were large and prices were good. We were sitting outside and it was raining. So far everything is good. When it had stopped raining for a while, the awnings were retracted and you would get wet. Unfortunately, there were also some smokers who filled up with smoke. Waiter put everything halfway between us and other guests. The affiliation of the dishes then had to be clarified.

Hardeep is one of the most dedicated waiters I have experienced here over the years. Service is an absolute 10 out of 10. Always a smile and an eye for good service.

Unfortunately my visit to this beer garden was a disappointment. The service was disastrous - as slow and disorganized as I have ever experienced. We had to wait forever for someone to take our order and even longer for the food to finally arrive. The food itself was okay, but the poor service ruined the whole visit. I'm definitely not coming back here.

Small beer garden with service that is easily accessible by car from outside. Food good, service unfortunately not always understandable. But otherwise everything was great.

Waited 55 minutes for service. 20 minutes ago eye and wave contact with the waitress. No reaction at all. Leave the beer garden now.

Delicious food and an incredibly beautiful beer garden

This service problem probably happens often! Just read another review from Oliver Griss. He had a similar problem. I wanted to sit on the quiet edge (where the conditions come one way or another) and was sent away. It would still be closed. I liked quiet because I wanted to work on my laptop. I should sit around the corner (too many people). I asked kindly if I could get the beer myself at the bar so that the conditions wouldn't be affected. The gentleman then became mushy and unfriendly. Basically, it's okay that the operation can work efficiently. But at a place where the waitress comes by anyway, a group of six people sits two tables away and I'm not even allowed to get my beer myself so that the waitress doesn't have to go too far... And most importantly the final mushyness at the end... Sorry, that doesn't work at all.

It is with great regret that I have to inform you that my stay in your establishment was extremely disappointing. The rudeness of your service shocked me and it seemed as if guests with a dialect were unwelcome. In a Bavarian economy, I expect people to be able to speak their dialect without being looked at askance. But that was not all. The food that was served was simply not edible. The sausage salad came without the obligatory bread, and when I asked about it, they suddenly said there was none left. It was extremely frustrating to have this important ingredient available and then gone. Unfortunately, when my food finally arrived, I had to have it sent back because it didn't meet my expectations. The lack of apology from the staff was extremely disappointing. Given the prices charged in your economy, you can at least expect quality. Given these experiences, I can tell you that we will never visit your economy again. It is unfortunate that an otherwise promising location loses guests due to such deficiencies in service quality.

Good Bavarian cuisine with mmn. sometimes a bit too much choice. The portions are not overpriced like in many other places in Munich and are also really large, so you will feel full. The food comes quickly, the beer garden ambience is great and the location is just outside the center so it's not completely overcrowded. I'll come back here to try out the menu.

Stop in for a large pretzel or a Helles. Either way, you'll be amazed. Stay for entrees. Oh, learn German. They don't take kindly to English-speaking folk. Probably cause we are back-to-back WW champs.

We stopped in around 2 p.m. because I was hungry... Special ordered came immediately.. Ordered Cordon Bleu with fries Now the kicker... Served after 6 minutes... hmm. It was nice and greasy on the outside... Taste below average... After seasoning, salt & pepper. Did I eat it... I could have saved the fries, they went back the way they came... too hard and only small ones... I throw those things away as a chef... Unfortunately it is not recommended. It's understandable that fewer and fewer people go out to eat... 6 people in the garden also says something... .....

Nice beer garden, but unfortunately the tables at the back weren't served.

We can only recommend this accommodation, the rooms were great, the towels even smell very good, not like you normally get from hotels. The food here is also highly recommended. A bit noisy in the summer months due to the restaurant in the courtyard but everything was ok!

Went there in a larger group to sit comfortably together and watch the European Championship game, but the waiters were incredibly rude. No trace of (good) service.

0 stars, unfortunately you can't choose, we were there yesterday for the Germany game as well as the Germany game on June 19th and before that several times, unfortunately we had to find out every time that everyone was very unfriendly, there was no greeting, very inflexible and the quality of the Food is very questionable, last year we were sold a spoiled snack board after complaining, we were given the money without an apology and with the statement that they didn't eat it, yesterday I was refused a pilsner because they only have a small drinks menu for the European Championships and according to the employee, no one wants to go down to the basement!!! Were there for the last time yesterday because according to the manager it will be difficult but they will survive that we won't come back, NEVER AGAIN!!!

We had a very unpleasant phone call today. After asking if there was a space available today, my husband was insulted on the phone. We had never experienced anything like that before. We visit the old innkeeper very often and the food is always great. Today was very outrageous. We are very disappointed 😞 that you are fobbed off like that on the phone. Big disappointed

Old Munich dishes that are rarely found elsewhere.

Here you can eat and drink Bavarian food. The roast pork and especially the sauce were gigantic. The menu also offers a lot for vegetarians! The Augustiner beer from the wooden barrel is simply unbeatable. During the European Championships, all games will also be shown in the beer garden. Gladly again.

Visit to the beer garden for two, I ordered the vegan lentil stew, too much liquid and vinegar, very bad. Pretzels that were spread out on the tables didn't taste fresh. After it started raining heavily, we asked if we could sit in, after we paid it was possible without any problems. When we sat inside, after about 10 minutes we were loudly announced from 15 meters away that all tables were reserved, the tone was very unfriendly. Despite free parking and a large beer garden, we won't be going there again in the future, the landlord is too unfriendly for me and the food is below average.

I was in the beer garden with colleagues for lunch and ordered a roast pork because it was on the lunch menu. (My colleagues ordered schnitzel and neck steak) The food came quickly and tasted good. When it came to paying, I was charged for the “normal?!” roast pork because I didn’t specifically order the “lunch roast pork”. I don't think there's anything more that needs to be said. Once, never again.

When the regular inn gets a new tenant, people are initially skeptical (this happened at the beginning of 2023). But if everything is AS good as at the old innkeeper, you're welcome to come back - and sometimes a few times more often! No matter whether for a meal (highly recommended the schnitzel), for a white sausage breakfast, a beer garden snack (classic beer garden business with its own snack) or just a beer - the service is great, there is a wonderful Bavarian-typical hospitality/warmth, the price- Performance ratio is simply top! And there's a lot of laughter here too. If you want to visit a really good Bavarian inn, this is the right place for you!
