Didn't expect anything, but still disappointed.

Plates still dirty from the previous guest. Prices completely overpriced. Food completely overcooked and completely tasteless. Service nonexistent.

I've never experienced such poor service. The waiter said the dishes were pre-prepared and couldn't make any changes. When I asked to discuss it with the chef, the waiter said the chef didn't speak German and knew everything better than the chef anyway. 😵‍💫 The wine I ordered was forgotten, and I had to ask the waiter three times about it. Then, suddenly, two glasses of wine were brought. Disaster! At the neighboring table, people lost their temper; they had to wait too long for their drinks, so they left. The food itself was okay, nothing spectacular, simply prepared and presented without much care. Overall – not recommended.

Tourist rip-off is probably the right description... unfortunately I only noticed it when reading the bill: fries with a main course that cost €9.70 came to a mere €7, Spezi €6, beer €8... in every big city it is cheaper and much better for the price....

The meal was a complete disaster. The steak tasted like nothing. The ham hock looked like it had been microwaved. The pizza was frozen.

If someone charges €4.90 for a 0.2 liter of water, I hope their sleeves slip down when they wash their hands.

A lovely restaurant, indeed. The service was friendly and prompt. The wine was tasty, but not cheap. Unfortunately, the food was really not good. Ready-made products that cost nothing to buy are sold there at high prices. The food is really not worth the money. It's a good place to go for a glass of wine. The food is better not to.

We spontaneously stopped into this restaurant because it looked very appealing from the outside, but we regret it! The food arrived before the drinks, about 5-7 minutes after ordering. We opted for two schnitzels, the creamed mushroom schnitzel with canned mushrooms and a ready-made sauce. Both schnitzels were definitely pre-battered and of poor quality. For this price, you'll get better food at any snack bar! What a shame!

The food was terrible. 0 stars are appropriate. After ordering, the food is brought to your table within 5 minutes. Just stay away; the waiters don't even care about bad feedback. Just pay and everything's fine. The price-performance ratio is ridiculous.

Everything was great. We didn't eat there, so I can't rate it. Drinks and service were excellent.

Mediterranean tarte flambée for €17.90 – a joke for what it was. The taste was just about okay. The Federweißer, advertised everywhere on the boards (strangely, it's not priced anywhere, it's not even listed on the menu), tasted like apple juice and came in at €5.90 per glass. A few meters away, the whole bottle costs €4.00 at the wine shop, so €5.90 per glass is a real outrage. The service from the grumpy older gentleman was also rather unfriendly and slow – you could have saved yourself the money.

The place lives from its first impressions – the food is okay, but the service is always attentive. However, I find €7.90 for a wheat beer a bit steep. I would recommend another location.

Move on! Incredibly bad food: it's on the table after five minutes, cold! I had to have the tarte flambée reheated. The schnitzel is soft and the fries are incredibly tasteless. Drinks are really expensive! And the service is as bad as the food.

Very nice location, but that's exactly it! Portions were very small, prices very high, for what is just "ready-made food." The food arrived on the table in less than 10 minutes, and it tasted accordingly. The drinks were stale—no carbonation. This evening was very disappointing... I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was mediocre to poor by German standards. The schnitzels were deep-fried instead of pan-fried, and the flammenkuchen was very thin, almost transparent. Drinks were exceptionally expensive (€7.80/0.4l draft pilsner) and impossible to find on the menu. The service was friendly and focused on sales.

Quite nice. The food was okay. The drinks were a bit expensive. Dogs are welcome, which I think is great! One thing worth mentioning is that the food comes out exceptionally quickly.

It looked like the schnitzel came from the deep fryer and the sauce from a jar, a disguised chip shop. Give the customer junk, they won't come back anyway.

The food wasn't tasty; I didn't think it was fresh, and it was very greasy. I had a breaded pork schnitzel with pepper. Considering how expensive it was, the portions were quite small. If I'd read the Google reviews beforehand, we definitely wouldn't have come here for dinner!

Overpriced beer (7.80 for a 0.4l). The glass was dirty. We wiped the rim with a wet wipe, and there was a yellow scum on it. Nice atmosphere, but better not.

We stopped here for a drink and a snack as we were walking around in the beautiful town of Cosem. The restaurant has a lot of charme with couple terrasses. I should have checked reviews before… overall food and drinks were ok, nothing special either, but service was abysmal. No hello back when you say hello. Steve was rude but thought it was German style. When time came to pay, it was only cash and the waiter showed his complete discontent when we gave him fifty euros for around thirty euros bill. He also decided to keep the small change without saying anything.

We had dinner here, and it was quite tasty. The drinks are quite expensive. The service is fast, and the food arrives quickly, but I'm not sure if that's a positive thing. The space on the terrace is limited, so you'll often bump into your chair.

A truly terrible place. My wife simply had a hair in the sauce and pulled it out in front of the waiter. The sauce tastes like pre-made stuff. This place thrives on its excellent ambiance. The service is friendly but totally disorganized. And the prices are pure extortion. Don't go there. I hope this lovely place gets a landlord who appreciates the location.

The worst schnitzel I've ever had in my life. It was soaked in oil and tasted like it had been reheated in the oven (not freshly fried). I felt scammed when they asked me what salad I wanted to go with it, and in the end, I was charged for it, even though at other restaurants, the side salad comes with the schnitzel at no additional cost. My daughter ordered a steak, and the meat had the taste and texture of boiled meat that had only been seared beforehand. The place was full of bees, making it impossible to eat in peace. The staff only spoke German.

Never sit here!! The service was very rude and the food even worse. The squid rings were completely inedible (very soggy and under-fried). After we planned to leave and eat somewhere else, we were told with the bill that we had to tip. The older man asked us why we were there if we weren't planning on tipping. He was incredibly unfriendly, and I'm glad we moved on.

Outside, there's a sign that fooled us: Aperol €4.90. As we walked past, we didn't read the whole thing. It was a scam to us. Inside, it was €9.90 – and that's €2 more than at all the other shops for a small amount of content.

We'd ordered some extra vegetables for our hot meal. Unfortunately, we didn't receive them, and because we were chatting so pleasantly, we didn't see that they were on the receipt. When we checked the receipt later, I went to the waiter to point out that we hadn't left the terrace yet (and to ask for a refund of €5.90), he said we should have noticed this before paying. The waiter was very rude to us. It was the first and last time for us. They really should check your receipt before leaving.

The Bratwurst was delicious. Lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Cucumber salad accompanying was excellent and very welcome on a scorching day in Cochem. Service and atmosphere was very good.

Very inviting from the outside, truly quaint. Unfortunately, we also read the reviews after ordering the food. Bruschetta as a starter isn't difficult to prepare, but the bread is completely burnt. The tarte flambée wasn't any better. A shame, especially considering the prices.

Scammers, just having a glass of wine while being forced to drink water. Then you get a bottle and have to pay €10 per bottle. The food is also cheap and nothing more than fat and filler. They offer bread with aioli for €5, and we literally got four slices of baguette with Aldi aioli. Just walk past this place. Shame on Cochem. Worthless.

The owner was a very grumpy old man. He threw the menus on the table in front of us. We only wanted drinks and bread with herb butter. He disagreed and immediately took the menus away. After we paid, we were cursed at by the same old man. We will never go back there.

The food is already on the table before you've even ordered it. It's like a snack bar, mass processing. In other words, the food arrives lukewarm. Quality isn't a priority. A definite no-no. Before Corona, the quality was much better.

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and eating here. "Luckily" I didn't order much; it could have been just appetizers. It looks very nice, but the food is terrible (and it arrives quickly), and the service is rushed and unfriendly. There's a very misleading sign outside, saying it's €4.90 for Aperol Spritz, but it's actually €9.90. Unfortunately, I fell for it. I got a small wine glass for almost €10! A portion of fried onion rings, which barely had any onion in them and were soggy. The squid rings were also very bad, and I had to add fries and it cost €17! All together, we spent €50 here! It's totally not worth it, and you won't feel comfortable here. Move on, don't go here!

Beautiful view, if you sit down by the street, the owner (?) keeps walking past your feet, you can't relax here. It feels like they only want you to eat/drink everything quickly and have to order again, the beer is undrinkable (like ditch water) and there are bits floating in the beer (no idea what it is). 11.90 for a liter, quite good for the price but not tasty. The tiramisu is homemade and tasty.

Unfortunately, I only read the reviews after I sat down and we were surprised by the poor service and half-cooked food :) I wouldn't recommend it, unfortunately. Very expensive and the food is ready-made, not homemade as advertised, in my opinion.

Although I'm not a chef, I can tell the difference between a good sauce and a bad one. The sauces didn't seem freshly prepared, and the mushrooms weren't fresh either. Furthermore, the presentation of the dishes was unappealing. Given the current prices, the quality of the ingredients and the preparation should be improved.

This isn't worth it. We placed our order, and the waiter yelled at us to say the number of dishes instead of the dish. He yelled at us and audibly grumbled at us. The food was seriously subpar. No tip was given, and he snapped: "Don't you know what a tip is?" Worthless.

Unfortunately, the other restaurants aren't much better.

We wanted lunch, but I lost my appetite when my Aperol Spritz arrived. It cost €10 for a small glass, and they poured the cheapest sparkling wine and served it carelessly. In my opinion, guests are being exploited there! On top of that, the starter was just a convenience product with stale bread. Not friendly, competent, or recommendable.

A simple restaurant that serves well-prepared ready-made meals, but leaves tourists with a lot of money to spend. Despite a mistake in the kitchen, we paid around €26 for a knuckle of pork with potato wedges – the highest price after a later comparison – and €4.90 for a small glass (0.2 liters) of Coke – which we found extremely expensive, even for Cochem. But the owner is probably happy if each guest only comes once – we certainly won't be coming again!

The baked potato as we know it wasn't available. It was two potatoes cut in half and passed by the oven, and that was it. You can't really go wrong with chicken strips if it's ready-made from the freezer. The Jägerschnitzel with fries, what can I say... The sauce tasted very strongly of Maggi or whatever they used, inedible (at least for me). The schnitzel without the sauce was okay, but the fries were probably too hot in the oil and wanted to get out quickly. The bottle of water for €9.90 was the icing on the cake. It's a shame that everything is focused on quantity and speed; when you look at it, you expect something different. Everyone has their own taste, and it definitely wasn't mine.

An old, cozy restaurant. The menu is quite extensive. We ordered breaded steaks with pepper sauce and cordon bleu with mushroom sauce, and they were very good. The meat was fresh and very well prepared. And the price isn't bad considering you're in a tourist town and enjoying freshly prepared food. 100% recommended.

There were four of us and we expected much more. The shop is a classic tourist trap, selling pre-made convenience foods at exorbitant prices in a traditional local setting without any knowledgeable staff. Special requests are not possible, as the food is rushed from the freezer to the fryer and brought to the table. The waiters don't know the menu and have no idea what the ingredients are. It's a shame, we had hoped for more.

We had 2 lattes and 1 bruschetta. The lattes came very quickly. They tasted like hot milk with a splash of coffee. The bruschetta came after we asked for it after about 30 minutes. When it arrived we thought we had ordered charcoal. We sent it back. After 2 minutes a new bruschetta arrived. It was just slices of untoasted bread. We sent this back too. So we paid and left. We'll never go there again!!!

A tourist trap of the worst kind. Expensive, poor and unprofessional service. It has absolutely nothing to do with the traditions that Mosel is known for.

Disastrous. Ready-made frozen products (schnitzel and cordon bleu), very small portions. Prices too high. Artificially friendly and very dusty… A flop.

You should just check the online reviews BEFORE you visit the restaurant...your own fault. The bottle of Mosel Riesling was good.

An absolute scandal – battery in the food, and then the brazen accusations! We ate at this so-called "restaurant" yesterday – what happened there is hard to put into words. There was actually a BATTERY in one of our dishes. Yes, a real, metal battery – right in the middle of the food! That's not just disgusting, it's life-threatening. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the absolute lowest point came: In the end, they even accused us of putting the battery in the food ourselves! This bottomless audacity left us completely stunned. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, they tried to blame us. We've never experienced such a disrespectful and hostile reaction. No sincere regret, no insight, no professionalism – just excuses, insolence, and complete failure in every respect. Conclusion: This restaurant deserves to be scrutinized by the food inspectors. Such conditions cannot be tolerated any longer. We have reported the incident to the health department and reserve the right to take further action. 0 out of 5 stars. Anyone who eats here risks their health in the worst case scenario – and in the best case scenario, they might even be blamed for it. An absolute no-go!

Great atmosphere, but incredibly unfriendly old waiter/owner. Complaining and being impatient. Soda's were clearly off brand, were brought out poured. Please don't go here.

That was pure rip-off... a tarte flambée cost almost €17... and it wasn't even warm or crispy. The schnitzel was served very quickly... So, poor value for money. They don't need regular customers here. It's enough if the tourists come... So I think for such a beautiful place, they should be more customer-friendly and also offer tourists a good service. In our opinion, it was a rip-off... 😭

Senior/Children's Schnitzel (140g) with fries and ketchup...11.90€. Well, you can eat it, but as a gypsy schnitzel it costs 4€ more. Regarding the food served. It's a busy thoroughfare, but you can also sit on the terrace. (1st floor)

Friendly service and good information about allergies! We received a very friendly welcome and were given a detailed explanation of the options available for our allergies and vegan diet. There was even a clear allergen list available. For those who eat gluten-free, the selection is unfortunately somewhat limited. Nevertheless, we had a delicious meal, and the food was served in a timely manner. The four of us had lunch, including drinks, for a total of €75. You might find it cheaper elsewhere, but don't be put off by any other reviews. Give it a try!

€5.90 for a 0.3 liter of mineral water. That's all there is to it. A half liter of wine costs €15.90. Sorry, too much for tourism. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice, too.

A nice-looking restaurant with a terrace upstairs that invites you to linger. Arriving in Cochem, we just wanted a glass of wine and were amazed at the price, quality, and temperature. €8.90 for a Riesling Hochgewächs that was lukewarm. I could get better value for that on the Moselle promenade for €6.00. Simply outrageous. Bottom line: once and definitely never again. A complete tourist rip-off.

Here the cola wheat beer was poured incorrectly...first the cola then the wheat beer on top😅not enough of it 0.4 l....for 7.80 euros...... and then on the whole menu🙈 boiled chips without end nothing else.....please note not deep-fried, completely pale chips not recommended!
