Great place to have a meal watching the great cochem castle. Service is great and the food too.

Incredibly bad food. Schnitzel from the freezer and prepared in the deep fryer. The waitress pointed out my criticism that she would only work here.

Walk right past this! If you don't ask when paying, you will know that what you are serving is not good. Schnitzel fried too hard, curdling pepper sauce and fries full of fat. Absurd prices for what you get. What you do get as a service is a stomach ache. The place is nice and uniquely decorated. Walk right past this!

⚠️ Attention rip-off! I would like to give zero stars, but unfortunately one to rate. You don't even know where to start. Ambiance is actually quite nice, but still rancid and dirty. The waitress was a blast, directed us to a dirty table, was not cleaned, only the glasses were cleared away by the foreman. The waitress was completely uninterested and constantly flirted with a man in a different language during the service. She took the order from the cash register (which was behind us). Table sticky and full of salt and grease. Cutlery box littered with broken glass and dried moths in it. Small frozen schnitzel with ready-made sauce, burnt tarte flambée. Good and cheap mayonnaise and ketchup from the discounter not chilled and popped on the table in nasty bottles!!!! I asked her if she didn't want to know what it was like because we weren't asked. Wine pours in cheap glasses, really not nice. I haven't been this annoyed in a long time. Unfortunately no one there is interested. Attention tourist trap!!!! ⚠️ The Moselle is so beautiful 😇

The tarte flambée with salmon was subterranean. The ambience is nice and the service needs a lot of improvement. The restaurant appears to have the same menu as the other two next to it. They prices are very high.

What a crappy tent. Childish and gum chewing waitress who thought she was the one. The schnitzel was decent, but the Jäger sauce contained pieces of beef from probably a previous customer... fries had been fried 3 times and the mess had been belching up all evening. Plus 7.90 for a glass of bend, which they sold under the name of wine and ultimately a hefty bill... Once but never again!!!!

Actually comfortable. The waitress was very friendly, but cleanliness is in the details. In the cutlery boxes on the tables there were dried mayflies that had not only been there for a week. And that along with cutlery and napkins. Food was OK, but nothing more. Priced for tourists.

Nice atmosphere where you can comfortably take a break. Of course, the prices here are primarily higher than on a side street, but you should actually know that. We ate tarte flambée, which we couldn't complain about. The service was very friendly.

Food is terrible. Had ordered a Margherita pizza, got a crusty piece of baked flour topped with tomato sauce over it. Staff is friendly and courteous. I guess you just pay for the view of the river. I do not recommend this place for food.

Looks like a nice, quirky place and is in a good position along the river. But the food was poor, the schnitzel batter was overcooked and the price of the beer and wine is extortionate for the quality. Our meal was no better than an imbiss, but 3 times the price.

Absolute disgrace, the chicken schnitzel was tiny, the burnt hard breading was covered with pepper sauce. The waitress asked nicely if everything was OK. We politely said that we were absolutely not satisfied. She said nicely that she would discuss it with her superior, who came to the table without a word and collected the money. Drinks were totally overpriced, we spent 117 euros, my son had a single potato for a lot of money, not big, with some chopped tomatoes and minimal rocket. We all couldn't get enough for this insane price. You can't get food poisoning there, the amount is too small

We were given our main course whilst we were half way through our first course… just unacceptable. If you think the prices are good it’s because the portions are small. Moreover the steak was dry. Staff is not particularly kind. And then to charge €9 for a single glass of wine and €10 for an aperol spritz… I wouldn’t recommend.

At 10:20 p.m. you are told that you should order and eat quickly because it closes at 11 p.m. Tarte flambée and a bottle of water = €25. Way too overpriced. Food was OK at best, nothing more.

Nice place with a very large and rich wine history. I talked to them about the past of this wine cellar. I know the reviews are not too good, we lightly ate the Bruschetta and the aioli with bread. It was prepared with great care and super fresh. That was wonderful. Beer 7.80 for 0.4 was too expensive..

First impression was good. Surprisingly, the food (wine roast and Hubertus roast) came after about 5 minutes. Food was lukewarm and as others have already mentioned, nothing was fresh and the meat was completely overcooked. When paying, told the waitress. Answer: I'll pass this on (where one expects something like this to happen immediately when a complaint is made!!!). She just picked up the bill and continued her work. We paid and left. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN! Then prefer McDonalds. The food is fresher and tastes better. 😉It is particularly weak or sad that neither the management nor those responsible comment on the reviews. 😔

Simply a disaster!!!!!! Sher dirty, all over the dirt and dust. Instead of rumph steak, simple bligers meat. The food was very cold. Employee rude and disrespectful. Too expensive.

Normal schnitzel and cordon bleu were normal frozen schnitzels and then the prices for them were an absolute rip-off. The schnitzels weren't even really hot. A non-alcoholic wheat cost over 7 euros which is a complete disgrace, unfortunately I only saw it on the bill. The ambience looks okay on the outside but you can't look deeper. It's a shame, I was very disappointed, especially since I ate much better for the same price a day later. At least the service was normally nice.

1/2 tarte flambée only served lukewarm. Succinct answer why that is so: The kitchen is on the 2nd floor. The road would be so long. Schnitzel with pepper sauce was OK. Fries went like this. Drinks are extremely expensive. We won't go there anymore.

Restaurant with a mega menu. Probably 50 pages. That says it all. Prices very high. you just pay for the waterfront promenade. We only had little things. Greaves, calamari, potato wedges and coleslaw. Everything was ok, but not great either. Could use a renovation.

The drinks prices were a joke, almost 8€ for half a liter of beer is cheeky, 0.4l of cola almost 6€. Never again!

Since the waiter Guiseppe no longer works there, everything has been a mess. 1 SMALL baked potato with sour cream: €12.90 1 onion schnitzel with fries: €13.90 2 SMALL Cola: €8.80 (0.2 l glasses) TOTAL: €35.60 Toilet dirty... The place has probably never been dusted. We were the only guests,......(at Guiseppe it was always full and the prices weren't that rip-off)...should have been suspicious. ATTENTION FRAUD AND RIP-OFF! We actually wanted to eat because the rustic exterior of the shop appealed to us. The beer was offered to us as a "half liter" at a reasonable price of €7.80 by the mediocre service staff - two 0.4 liter beers arrived. When we looked at the plates at the next table, we decided against eating because the portions and the visual impression were simply outrageous in relation to the prices. When paying, we pointed out to the waitress, who was in the same mood, that they were 0.4 glasses and not half liters. "Oh, we usually use other glasses" was the outrageous comment, because there was neither a discount nor a free refill. Actually unbelievable, but that's what happened. So BEWARE: YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED HERE! Unfortunately there is no way to avoid one star, otherwise it definitely wouldn't exist.....

Attention, absolute rip-off! During our Moselle trip we stopped at the Cochemer Weinstube and had the worst and most outrageous experience in terms of gastronomy so far! The menu is very confusing and does not correspond to the prices shown in front of the restaurant. We paid a whopping €17.80 for a carafe of 0.5l Mosel Riesling and €9.90 for 0.75l mineral water! My friend ordered a cordon bleu with fries and olives with tzatziki as a starter. A mini frozen schnitzel with fries was served and then the starter afterwards. After he complained, the schnitzel was exchanged for a cordon bleu without any problem, but it was just as cheap frozen discount goods as everything else! Simply disgusting! My tarte flambée was ok! Normally I'm reluctant to spend precious time writing reviews, but in this case it's such an obvious tourist trap that you just have to warn about it! We also told the boss of our very nice hotel in Cochem about our experience, he confirmed to us that the owners who run a few restaurants on the promenade (they all have the same look from the outside) follow the concept of “just come here anyway “Day trips that you never see again” live and are known for ripping off people. It's a shame for the image of the pretty city of Cochem! We took the trouble to look at the face of the lady who is responsible for such a business model through the imprint of this restaurant company - shame on you!!

Beautiful view and service friendly and attentive. Food absolutely terrible, Cordon Bleu cheapest frozen food and then €23.90...very cheeky. Drinks prices are high, 0.2l cola €4.40 you pay for the view. Tarte flambée is also just a finished product. But it's a good thing you live there from day guests because there probably won't be any returnees. Next time it's better to read reviews first...

An absolute disaster. We stopped by at lunchtime and thought: “looks nice, reasonable prices, we’re going out for dinner tonight” So bad you can't describe it. Everything from the TK. Deep fried in old fat. Salad from the bucket as well as the sauces. Prices that you can put your ears down. What was advertised outside were prices for half portions. Cucumber salad from the bucket €5.90, the cheapest wine for €7.90 etc. I'm still thinking about whether I should inform the health department. Took a bite, called the waitress out of decency, paid for the drinks and left. The place was certainly a really good place at one time. Now a tourist rip-off.

That was an absolute joke! We've never had such bad food! Everything frozen or from a plastic bucket. We had more than half returned and didn't pay the full price either. As already read here, the food is a disgrace. The ambience is deceptive, there are small tables everywhere with supposedly cheap prices for food... BUT - the (too) large menu shows that the offerings are only half portions. Alles was slecht, bediening, eten en zelf de wijn. Voor wat ons voorgeschoteld wasde prijs exorbitant te veel. Eten was te scherp van smaak. Tiramisu was zonder likeur, de wijn had veel droesem op de bodem .

It couldn't be worse...prices like those in the pharmacy. Food (schnitzel / fries, cabbage and cucumber salad) certainly from the Netto or Penny, dry schnitzel and fries, Gurgensalat for just under 6 euros, 3 good spoonfuls then the watery cucumber salad is gone, provided you eat it, Radler 0.5 just under 8 euros. ....Conclusion: 2 x schnitzel, 2 x salad and 2 drinks 61 euros, when asked how it tasted, I got an honest answer....no reaction...rip off

If I could, I would have given zero stars. The food was bad, the staff was very unfriendly after being spoken to and didn't respond to any agreement. Never again !! No recommendation!!!

I would prefer to give 0 stars. The food is an absolute disgrace and you have to pay so much money for such filth. We complained politely and refused to pay the full price. The waitress didn't want to lower the price and didn't want to call the boss or the police. But what they called were some youngsters of foreign descent. We just asked ourselves why they call people like that but not the police. What's more, we all had stomach problems afterwards. The report to the public order office is out. Hopefully the store will be closed with such poor quality!

this restaurant was very disappointing. I was visiting Cochem and visited this restaurant in the early afternoon. The food (my schnitzel and fries) was, like food from the freezer section of a discount store, not outstanding. I asked the waiter for a good local Riesling wine and the wine didn't taste that good. Also very expensive. never again!

We ate here last summer, and I must honestly say the restaurant has seen better days. We have eaten here quite often in the past, but it was better then and the menu was also more extensive. In terms of atmosphere, it is a really nice place, with super friendly staff.

I can't say anything about the food, but the drinks aren't cheap. A bottle of wine starts at 17.99 euros, a lot for a wine region. The toilets could be cleaner. The staff rarely cracks a smile. But the view is nice from the terrace. However, there is a large selection of wine bars there, so you are sure to find something nicer. The next time we visit Cochem, the wine bar will definitely not be on our agenda!

ABSOLUTE TOURI trap!!! If you want to do yourself a favor: stay away!!! Unfortunately we didn't read the reviews beforehand, otherwise we wouldn't have gone in at all. We found the ambience to be quite rustic, which is probably exactly how it was inherited from the previous owner. Food came very quickly, but that didn't bode well. There seems to be someone working in the kitchen who only works with ready-made products and has absolutely NO IDEA about cooking. Ready-made schnitzels with soft breading and ready-made sauce from the tetra pack were served. You had to pay an extra EUR 4.90 for the mixed salad, which was “refined” with a ready-made dressing. In short: Over 50 for 2 schnitzels with fries, 2 mixed salads and 2 drinks...and they probably tried to do it on January 1st. to get warm outside because the entrance door was permanently open. SO IF YOU WANT TO EAT REALLY, NOT HERE!!!

KEINE EMPFEHLUNG - NO RECOMMENDATION! Das Kellergeschoss war total kalt, absolut keine Einladung zum Sitzenbleiben. Nach Rückfrage wurde die Tür auch nicht geschlossen. Das Essen waren warm gemachte Fertiggerichte aus dem Supermarkt. Warm machen in der Fritteuse hat nichts mit kochen zu tun, dazu lange Wartezeiten (40 Minuten+). Jeder Imbiss hat mehr Stil als dieses Restaurant. Tut euch ein Gefallen und meidet dieses Restaurant.

Good atmosphere, polite staff. Delicious medium roasted steak for only 20€. Well white wine. We were satisfied.

Suppe war sehr gut, Personal sehr nett. Einrichtung ist top aber leider lässt man auch bei Minusgraden die Tür offen und muss drinnen frieren.

Das Essen ist nicht gut, zu hohe Preise für wenig Qualität. Fertig Gerichte die teilweise kalt serviert werden.

Das Essen ist eine absolute Frechheit!! Getränke waren akzeptabel. Location und Service waren in Ordnung. Das Schnitzel mit Pfeffersauce war TK. Bedienung hat bestätigt, dass viele Tiefkühlprodukte verwendet werden und ihm das Essen selber nicht schmecken würde.

Waren gestern Abend spontan in der Cochemer Weinstube essen. Wir haben sofort ohne lange Wartezeit einen Platz bekommen. Das hätte uns schon zu denken geben sollen. Warum die ganze Zeit Die Tür aufstehen muss und die Gäste "Zug" plaziert werden, bleibt uns auch heute ein Geheimnis. Aber zum Essen: Könnte ich hier 0 Punkte vergeben, wäre das die angemessene Bewertung. Pommes kalt, Fleisch naja, Metro TK Ware würde ich vermuten, Sauce Tütenware, ohne jeden Esprit, Lieblos dargereicht. Insgesamt macht eine Touribude, wo es anscheinend egal ist, ob der Kunde noch einmal wiederkommt. Nicht zu empfehlen.

We went here because I really wanted Sweinehaxe and they had this. I am not an Haxe expert, but I think a German would give it 2 stars haha. But for me it was okey, they don't have good Haxe around here in any restaurant. Prices are nice though and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere inside... 20€ for a Haxe, 12€ for a Schnitzel.

The atmosphere and location was very nice. The servers were very attentive. The food was very good, usually I’m very picky with steaks and the one I got here was amazing. I think is overpriced for the portions but besides that.. I didn’t had any complains. We are a family with a toddler and we had been turned away because some restaurants are not kid friendly, but I really appreciate how we were treated today.

The interior looked cozy and romantic. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very friendly. The dish, schnitzel with two large potatoes, wasn't particularly impressive and seemed somewhat cheaply made. Additionally, the price wasn't exactly budget-friendly.

Der Weinkeller ist wirklich schön. Wir hatten Hunger und die Restaurants waren alle voll und dort war noch Platz. Jetzt wissen wir auch warum: Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes und ein Softgetränk bestellt. Das kam ruckizucki, Getränke ungefragt 0,5L bekommen. Die Schnitzel waren TK, nicht mal lange genug in die Friteuse geschmissen. Dazu gabs dünne Pommes, die nicht goldbraun waren, sondern nach altem Fritierfett aussahen. Der Krautsalat vom Discounter. Mayonnaise wurde lieblos auf den Tisch geknallt (Flasche Billigdiscunter). Wir haben uns hinterher nur über das weggeschmissene Geld geärgert. Der Chef? läuft nur gestresst durchs Lokal und gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hat, wurde wohlweislich auch nicht. NEIN DANKE! BESTIMMT NICHT NOCH MAL!

Ich sag nur... Touristenfalle! Der Kellner steht vorm Laden und lockt euch rein. Das Essen ist unter aller Sau und schmeckt nach nichts. Die Restaurants gehören alle zu einer Kette (siehe selbe Speisekarten)... alles teuer und schlechte Qualität...

Das Ambiente war toll - was auch der Grund für den Besuch war. Da hört es allerdings auch schon wieder auf. Das Essen war nicht lecker - kleine Portion - zu teuer für solche Portionen - Schnitzel mit Champignons-Rahm-Soße war grauenvoll - Soße hat nach kaum was mit labbrigen Pilzen geschmeckt. Nie wieder! Preis-Leistungsverhältnis = 0!!!

Wie schon einige geschrieben haben, ist der Laden eine Tour-Falle. Das Essen war nicht unbedingt genießbar. Beim Jägerchnitzel ist kaum Soße dabei. Als Ketchup, bekommt man den billigen Aro Ketchup aus der Metro. Ein besonderes "Highlight" waren die ganzen Fruchtfliegen am Tisch.

Röstzwiebeln aus der Dose, Bratkartoffeln aus der Fritteuse, Steak angebrannt. Dafür, das einem eine traditionelle Weinstube angepriesen wird, ist das ziemlich schwach. Schnell und einfach, aber teuer abrechnen…

Best aan de prijs voor eenvoudige currywurst of schnitzel en patat. Rauwkost (witte kool) apart bestellen en frisdrank was erg prijzig.

Das Essen schmeckte überhaupt nicht,alles schmeckte nach Fertigprodukten!Nicht zu empfehlen dieses Restaurant!!!

Wirklich tolles Ambiente, Bedienung nur bedingt freundlich, aber das Essen war wirklich nicht gut. TK Kost und der Braten war aus meiner Sicht ungenießbar. Für einen Kaffee oder ein Glas Wein aber durchaus zu empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen und gute Getränke. Wer ein Problem damit hat das bei einem Schnitzel die Pommes aus der Fritteuse kommen, sollte vielleicht mal in der Realität ankommen und touristische Orte meiden. Auch in Cochem gibt es durchaus„edlere“ Restaurants, wo wirklich alles selbstgemacht ist. Dann geht halt bitte auch dahin.
