Have been here several years now, the previous years were always excellent. However, this year we received a very unfriendly welcome. 1 waiter was very busy when guests came to eat, it took him too long to take the order and he was very pushy. The food itself had also deteriorated considerably. The bratkartoffeln that were so great before are now not even cooked. According to the staff, this could be due to the fact that the kitchen staff did not speak German. It also turned out afterwards that the bratkartoffeln had charged double. Unpleasant experience. Next time we won't go here.

What a particularly customer-unfriendly place this is. You will be warmly welcomed on the terrace for a drink. Another waiter comes to take your order and you are asked to leave, because you don't yet know whether you want food in addition to drinks. So as indicated at the beginning, you first want to order a drink with five people. Fortunately, we were very welcome at the neighbors 'Bistro am Hafen', whatever we ordered; and we could enjoy the view of Cochem and delicious drinks and dishes!

We ate very well, outside on the beautiful terrace and the Gabze garnished with first-class service 🤩 we will definitely be back 👍👍☀️☀️❤️❤️❤️

Service was excellent, waiters were fast and friendly. Had beer and flammkuchen, both were very good. Don't understand bad service reviews, our waitress even brought a bowl of water to our table without us asking. I think tourists expect too much, the place is very busy so the service staff don't have a lot of time to appease the egos of needy people. Highly recommended!

I just wanted to drink one or two beers, but was sent away with the remark: "Only with food, boss needs sales." So if I need sales, I take everything with me, especially drinks. Why used to go there for a nightcap, that's probably over now!

Visited once, food, let me say, not mine. E.g. Jägerschnitzel, dipped in fat... I'll be happy when it disappears from my healthy body ☝️ If you like it, ok... I or we didn't have fun eating .. and very, very expensive...

Very nice and romantic place. Good food but limited menu. Still highly recommended. The warm apple pie dessert with ice cream is a killer!!!

Unfortunately the schnitzel seemed to be a sticky frozen schnitzel. Nothing special in terms of taste. It's a shame...we won't come again.

Great food. Price performance is definitely right. Very, very friendly staff, very attentive and accommodating. It won't be the last time we'll be here when we end up in Cochem.

Very nice terrace with a great view of the old town of Cochem. Better than sitting on the old town side. The wine was very tasty. The accompanying cheese plate was okay but not special.

Inexperienced cook; Both minced steaks were already cut while frying. There was a fly in the chanterelle tagliatelle and the sauce wasn't tasty either. You really only pay for the beautiful view of the Moselle and the castle. In fairness the tagliatelle were cancelled.

The only good thing about this restaurant is the location, you have a very nice view of Cochem. That was what attracted us there too. We didn't have any hot food, just drinks and ice cream. The ice cream didn't taste good and then there was also the spray cream from the can, put together carelessly. Then it's better not to have ice cream on the menu.

A snack-like restaurant with great potential: - Very good location directly on the Moselle - Well-dressed and friendly waitresses - Very simple - Cola was warm and non-carbonated - Beer and wine were OK We didn't eat but would only recommend it for a quick drink!

Very great restaurant with a wonderful ambience and a great view of the Moselle. Super friendly, attentive staff; my wife had schnitzel with asparagus & the lemon slices were missing from the schnitzel. The waiter immediately noticed this just 2 minutes later, went into the kitchen and immediately brought it out to the table. Mega delicious food, which is perhaps a little more expensive than elsewhere in Cochem, but is worth every euro.

Can't understand many one star reviews. We arrived and were greeted very friendly. Minced steak with fries and a Bolognese were good and the beer was delicious. The surroundings are perfect on the bridge and there is hardly any traffic in front of you. Prices are okay and reasonable.

The restaurant or the waiters are the last. Despite there being little activity, I was consistently ignored by two waitresses. Someone picked up the menus that were on the table, but didn't even look at me. After sitting there for 10 minutes I left. Rarely have I experienced such arrogant and unfriendly service, but it seems to be common in Cochem!

On Friday afternoon, 4 people attempted to sit on the terrace for a drink and a meal. It had just rained. Upon arrival we were told by a very unfriendly waiter: we would rather not do anything. You dare to drink first in Keller and drink and drink for a while. Unimaginable! Of course we left thanks to the big bald waiter! Fortunately, the guests present could also hear what he said.

We went there spontaneously this evening without a reservation. The staff was there for us immediately and tried to find a table for us. After a maximum of 2 minutes we were sitting at a nice table with a great view of the Moselle and the city. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the price-performance ratio was very good. We will be back definitely. Thanks for a great dinner!

We are here on a motorcycle tour and staying overnight for a day. The reception was very friendly and the room was clean and OK. We then ate on the beautiful terrace. We received a very friendly welcome there and were served very well. The food is good and OK. The service was friendly and helpful. At no time did one have the feeling that the staff were overwhelmed. They were always available. We will visit this restaurant/hotel several times again. Thanks to the staff.

We wanted to stop there at 8:15 p.m.! On the terrace we were very unfriendly and nothing more today, we are now closing and turned away. Apparently they close so early because of wealth. A few meters further on we were warmly welcomed on a heated terrace.

Wow . What a tourist trap . Worst / most pathetic Jägerschnitzel in Germany (and I’ve been living here for 4 years…)

The terrace is nice. People who just wanted a drink would be turned away. The food wasn't particularly good. The cream schnitzel with fries was not fresh and the sauce was a mess. The restaurant is not recommended.

Tuesday May 14th, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. they were rudely expelled from the store because they couldn't do it anymore. Would work 7 days a week. Then they should do it...

Nice restaurant with a terrace, nice view of the castle and the Cochem promenade as well as the Moselle, the staff is friendly and the food was good, but we knew from previous visits that at certain times you can not only have a drink, but also eat must. 😉

Best views of Cochem, Not so many tourists, realistic food and drink prices; that is just a quick walk across the bridge.

Food just okay, not outstanding quality (salad and minced steak), service friendly but you had the impression that you wanted to call it a day. Overall not recommended, the view of the Moselle doesn't make up for it.

We already saw the terrace from the castle and set off. Unfortunately, you can only get a seat if you order at least 2 main courses, which was communicated to us in a very unkind manner.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a nice terrace. Unfortunately we were turned away as guests because we just wanted to have a drink at 4:45 p.m. In principle, it would be possible to eat a little something, but not today. They weren't friendly to us. Very unfortunate and not recommended

If you want mass processing, this is the right place. Schnitzel from the freezer with a handful of ready-made fries and cream sauce from the bag... Never had such a bad meal. Every chip shop is better. Even the staff knows how bad the food tastes because they behave accordingly

Unfortunately a big disappointment! At first it was said that they didn't make reservations for a stay on the terrace! When my wife and I arrived and sat down, I saw that the boss had made a reservation outside on the terrace, apparently for friends! When I asked about it, he became aggressive and loud and shouted at me! The table is reserved, there is no discussion! Child-friendliness: Grade 6! We won't let ourselves be shouted at and treated like second-class citizens! I paid for the drinks and we left! Not recommended!

Friendly and attentive service, knowledgeable about the wines on the menu. Terrace with a view is simply wonderful. Food was solid and tasted good (bruschetta, schnitzel, spit roast). Only the hash browns could have been crispier. The Kirner is great. We are very happy we went :)

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, because that didn't happen because the boss was very unfriendly, arrogant and aggressive to us and treated us like second-class people. So definitely not recommended!

Nothing to complain about. Service was friendly. Price-quality ratio of the food (bratwurst fries/salmon salad) was also excellent. The salmon salad in particular tasted very fresh.

Onion cake was warmed up and only warm in the middle. The chicken fillet with noodles and gravy so so la. Unfortunately not that convincing. A lot of money for not so great food. Is very touristy. But that's my personal feeling.

Unfortunately, the staff and the strangely acting waiter were so unfriendly that I left the Hexenkeller before ordering. As I was about to sit down at a small table with a beautiful view of the river, it was given to two other guests who had just arrived. Instead, I should sit at a table with five empty chairs in front of the food counter. I why?". He: “Because I say so.” I have now found a much nicer place with beach chairs right on the river (in Valvig). Somehow I'm grateful to the pathetic waiter...

Unsure if it's racial profiling but the waiter was extremely rude. We entered asking for a table for 4 to drink and they were unable to give us a table as they were only open to dining customers. This is fine, but the waiter rudely dismissed us with "No. Dining only. Goodbye" Whilst we didn't experience the service, I can't imagine it being that great.

Bediening mag is attenter/sneller, zijn wel aardig. Lekker eten Mooi uitzicht en een fijn terras!

Ambiente gut aber sehr touristisch und wenig Charm. Personal gut. Essen eher schlecht. Vegetarischen Flammkuchen bestellt der leider sehr nach Speck geschmeckt hat und zwischendurch auch Speck drauf war. Nach dem Medaillon Magen Probleme gehabt.

Das Essen war gar nicht gut, das Bier hatte null Kohlensäure und hat abgestanden geschmeckt und es war einfach viel zu teuer. Essen wie an einer Imbissbude für über 50€ für 2 Personen

Fantastisch terras met mooiste uitzicht van cochem. Eten goed en bediening vriendelijk en hard werkend. Zeker aanradertje als je in cochem bent.

Leider sehr schlechte Erfahrung mit dem Service gemacht. Nach der Zuweisung eines Tisches auf der Terrasse wollten wir Getränke bestellen und einen Blick in die Karte werfen, um vielleicht für einen anderen Tag einen Platz auch zum Abendessen zu reservieren. Dann kam ein anderer Kellner und fragte, ob wir auch essen wollten. Wir verneinten und mussten daraufhin das Lokal wieder verlassen. Finde ich unverschämt. Dies hätte man klären können, bevor man uns einen Tisch zugewiesen hat. Ganz schlechter Stil.

Ruim terras uitkijkend over het water en cochem, kasteel. Steak was uitstekend.

Heerlijk gegeten, rumpsteak was perfect gebakken... ruim zitten op t terras en direct aan de Moezel met uitzicht op de burcht en de brug.

They probably has the best view in town. You can see river the castle and the bridge. Ans service is friendly, they bring the baby chair without we ask for it. Food is ok with very reasonable price. We ordered 2 entries, one kid meal, 2 glasses of wine and water total js 48 euro. I would recommend it !

Was ein Quatsch mit den schlechten Bewertungen bzgl. Personal (oder es wurde ausgetauscht). Personal sehr zuvorkommend, Getränke sehr lecker und das Essen war auch gut (Einfach aber gut).

Von Außen sehr einladend. Allerdings schreckt man vor dem unwirschen, unfreundlichem Personal sofort zurück, so dass wir nicht in den Genuss von Speisen und Getränken gekommen sind! Ein Stern ist daher noch zuviel!

Salat mit Räucherlachs und Lachsnudeln sind sehr zu empfehlen. Schönes Ambiente aber die Toiletten sind echt mies und sollten mal neu gemacht werden.

Wir sind für eine kurze Pause eingekehrt und fanden den Service super klasse und die Sicht auf die Mosel ist natürlich auch nicht zu verachten

I had a generally positive experience at the restaurant with tasty food and friendly, attentive service. However, I did find the Schnitzel to be a bit too greasy and the taste was average. I would suggest that the restaurant works on improving the quality of the Schnitzel to enhance the overall dining experience.

De service was echt top! De ober was vriendelijk en vroeg regelmatig of alles naar wens was. De asperge soep was heerlijk en de steak was ook goed. Ik heb hier een zeer goede ervaring gehad.

Essen können wir nicht bewerten. Draußen die wunderschöne Terrasse genutzt und vom Kellner (leider Name vergessen) aus Ungarn sehr freundlich bedient.

Während unseres Urlaubs in Cochem haben wir an zwei Abenden gegessen.Lage hervorragend,Essen lecker,Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.Wir können es empfehlen.

Perfekte Lage. Sehr freundliches Personal. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder.

Wir waren über Pfingsten zweimal dort. Man muss vor der Terrasse warten und bekommt einen Platz zugewiesen. Das hat uns nicht gestört. Pro Tisch immer nur eine Partei. Wer einfach reingeht und sich dazu setzt hat Pech gehabt. Ich habe erlebt das Personen dann das Lokal verlassen mussten, weil kein Platz mehr frei war oder man nicht gewartet hat. Die Lage ist super und wenn man Glück hat bekommt man einen Tisch in der ersten Reihe mit direktem Moselblick. Das Essen war ganz gut. Den Stern ziehe ich ab, weil mein Salat noch sandig war und das Brot dazu etwas trocken. Der Flammkuchen und der Toast am zweiten Tag waren aber völlig in Ordnung

Der schlechteste Service meines Leben. Auf Nachfrage ob man eine Flasche Federweißer zum mitnehmen erhalten könne wurde uns mitgeteilt wir es gäbe keine und wir sollten schnellstens das Restaurant verlassen. (Nachdem wir dort bereits gegessen und getrunken haben.)

Leider muss man hier Sterne verteilen. Leider hat es noch schlimmer geschmeckt als in einer Pommesbude. Das Schnitzel wurde in der Fritteuse zubereitet. Die Rösti und Pommes trieften vor Öl. Der Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Hollandaise war aus dem Karton. Der Wein schmeckt so schlecht, dass man meint, er sei gepanscht. Der Winzer wird auf der Karte nicht genannt.

Wir wollten uns nach einem wunderschönen Ausflug nach Cochem abschließend noch ein schönes Fläschchen Wein aus der Region in der Abendsonne gönnen. Nachdem wir uns mit meiner schon etwas älteren Mutter die Treppen heruntergequält hatten, gab uns der Keller eine sehr unfreundliche Abfuhr. Obwohl noch genügend Plätze frei wären, bekämen wir nur einen Platz, wenn wir auch etwas essen. Unverschämt und unvergessen. Frustriert fuhren wir nach Hause und tranken einen ungarischen Muskateller.

Wir wählten das Restaurant, weil es eine tolle Lage hat und man dort draußen gemütlich sitzen konnte, hätten aber doch besser die schlechten Bewertungen berücksichtigen sollen. Das Personal war weder freundlich, noch zuvorkommend. Die Bestellung konnte nicht schnell genug erfolgen, wobei auf Höflichkeitsformen verzichtet wurde. Das Essen kam relativ schnell und war geschmacklich okay. Vegane Alternativen suchte man auf der Speisekarte vergeblich. Preislich war es in Ordnung, wobei wir während des Essens bereits zahlen mussten, da der Kellner Feierabend machen wollte. Allgemein also eher fragwürdig.

Alles nur aus Tüte und Friseuse, Touristen Futter halt. Geschmacklich okay. Service nicht sehr bemüht.

Der 🇮🇹 Kellner war freundlich und vom Fach. Die Speisen sind, wie schon von anderen beschrieben, wahrscheinlich TK Ware. Der Salat war frisch. So wie ich es verstanden habe, bestellen Sie nicht mehr als 2 Flammkuchen gleichzeitig, da nicht mehr auf einmal zu bereitet werden können. Dies zeigt wohl die gesamte Qualität der Küche. Als Zwischensnack mit nicht all zu hohen Erwartungen okay, nur zum trinken jedoch aufgrund der Aussicht eine klare Empfehlung.

Wir durften nicht rein kommen, weil wir nur Getränke und keine Speisen bestellen wollten. So was habe ich nicht erlebt!

Unfähigkeit und Unfreundlichkeit des Personals ist hier zu Hause. Ein Musterbeispiel, wie man ein Betrieb ruiniert!

Wenn Ihr richtig gut und echt günstig mit Blick auf das wunderschöne Cochem speisen und trinken wollt, ist der Weinhexenkeller eine sehr gute Wahl! Auch die Bedienung ist absolut freundlich.

Gebt euer Geld lieber Leuten, die es auch wollen. Das Essen ist lecker. Die Aussicht ist toll! Das ist wohl der Grund, warum sich das Personal denkt: "Wir müssen uns nicht anstrengen!" Sie gucken bei der Kommunikation an einem vorbei, sind unfreundlich und bringen das falsche. Schön ist anders.

Die Kellner sind freundlich. Die Preise dabei sind etwas über dem Durchschnitt aber dafür hat man sich den perfekten Ausblick auf die Mosel.

Essen war ok. Allerdings bekamen wir statt Sprite eine billige Zitronenlimonade, trotz Nachfrage ob auch wirklich Sprite serviert wird. Der Kellner zudem unfreundlich und meinte zu uns wir dürfen uns nicht umsetzen, da die Tische fix sind??!???

Gleich den ersten netten Abend... hier verbracht.😀 Wundervolle Aussicht auf die Mosel.. Burg und Zentrum, von Cochem. Die Hopfen-tee's kalt serviert. Und die kl. zu Essen.. der Flammkuchen.. Lecker. Die Kellner, durchaus Freundlich. Leider. sind diese, mit Frust behaftet. Frage nach den Öffnungszeiten.. der Chef..entscheidet.🙄 Also drunter und drüber. Ansonsten...sehr schöne Lage..
