Very polite and attentive staff, delicious and pleasant atmosphere!

Visiting this restaurant was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere is inviting and stylish, perfect for a relaxed evening. The service was attentive and friendly, so you felt comfortable right from the start

The food is really bad, the portions are small for the price, and the service is also poor. I doubt the good reviews are genuine.

We cannot understand the positive reviews. The food was really super disappointing. We had an avocado platter, a burger with falafel and fries. The burger was simply poorly balanced and dry, and there was hardly any avocado on the burger, which is a disgrace given the name of the restaurant! The avocado plate was something for the hollow tooth and the individual components were boring and the worst: the lamb's lettuce was not cleaned properly which left you with stones between your teeth. The fries were limp and in a portion for €5 there were really at most 20 fries. Frozen fries from the oven are better and significantly cheaper. The service was also rather inattentive, we had to ask for the bill twice and we still waited 20 minutes even though there were hardly any tables occupied. Overall, this was really the worst food I've eaten outside in recent years.

The bread was a bit hard and didn’t feel freshly baked (on the menu there’s written that they bake it fresh every day) and I ordered a green tea and they brought me the normal cheap tea bag that one can find in any supermarket, asking 3,50€ for it, this was very disappointing 🥲

In Frankfurt visiting we really liked it - echt geil! Food was yummy, drinks were fab, staff were friendly and loved the plants.

We had dinner here this evening and Nikita served us. He was very attentive, asked us if everything was OK and was there to answer any questions or requests for food. The food was very tasty, we had the truffle pasta with shrimp and the sesame chicken with sweet potato fries. For dessert we had an unexpectedly good avocado tiramisu which was really delicious. We would love to come back for breakfast to test it out. Simply a dream for avocado lovers. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food. The ratings are justified. I ate the Korean thing and my girlfriend ate the French toast. It was so good we had to try the bread as well. Highly recommended.

I can't understand all the positive reviews at all. In my opinion completely overrated. Waiter brisk, mumbles and doesn't care how/if it tasted. Portions small, nothing special in terms of taste. Steakhouse fries were regular (Mac D) fries. Price-performance flop. 2 stars for the ambience. Sorry.

I enjoyed eating here. However, it's no longer fun. Food was taken after 20 minutes even though the shop was empty. The waitress had to come back twice because each time they said “unfortunately it’s over”. This should be communicated in advance. Especially when there are only 7 dishes on the menu and 3 of them are sold out. By the way, the salmon dish is only served once a month according to the waiter. We also had to go to the counter to pay because the service was so inattentive and the bartender was always on his cell phone. Food was otherwise quite okay. However, there were only 2 mini slices of avocado on the tagliatelle. Only 2 tacos were delivered instead of 3 as stated on the menu. We're not coming anymore. Too bad!

Drawn here by the good reviews and unfortunately disappointed. The atmosphere is chic, but that's it. Food mediocre, service polite but overwhelmed, drinks okay, prices overpriced. Half of the dinner menu was no longer available shortly after 7 p.m. on a Saturday evening. Salmon fillets are rarely available (more like once a month). So why is it even on the map? Well, after 3 more rejections for the dishes listed, my friend decided on the truffle tagliatelle with shrimp as an add-on. “Shrimps are out too”. Well, then please with chicken. “Sorry, the chicken with the tagliatelle is also out”. But tacos with chicken were possible. Simply mixing the chicken used for the tacos into the tagliatelle was impossible here. It's questionable why a chef can't do such simple things...or doesn't want to. It's actually a great concept to combine all dishes with avocado, but the implementation still needs some time before it can convince me to come back.

On Sundays, 75% of the menu is unavailable, so there are hardly any food options. There were nine of us there, and none of us could order the food or drinks he or she originally wanted. The service seemed inexperienced and unprofessional.

Update 15.02.2024 - last two experiences no longer reflect the original review. *** A really lovely and chilled place to grab a bite. Some interesting avocado combinations but everything was delicious.

We were there shortly before closing time and the coffee machine was turned on again just for us. Service top, coffee top and we will definitely go there again and try the food.

Nice place, great food! But.... terrible service... we entered and for having taken two steps further inside we were subjected to a harsh lecture "don't you know how to read?" In German... in fact none of us know German, I'm sorry, in practice we had to remain still in front of the door until he gave us permission to enter... then once seated after 15 minutes of waiting we ask to be able to order...another sermon with all his antipathy which said to wait until he was free....all obviously in German. Ok, nice guy, you don't like Italians, we understand! Average prices for German clubs....be careful, a bottle of water is €8.50 😵

A dream for avocado lovers! The Avocateur is simply fantastic! Every dish is creative, fresh and incredibly delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is super friendly - an absolute must for anyone who loves avocados. I'll definitely be back!

The location and ambience is good. My drink was delivered warm with a few ice cubes in it. Next time if there were no more cold sodas I would’ve like to have been informed and potentially ordered something else. The avocado plate was underwhelming. When something with “cauliflower” is described, I usually expect to get more than one little floret. The French fries were hot. The waiter asked us how everything was and was dumbfounded when we commented on our dissatisfaction. Perhaps it was an “off” night but I’m unfortunately not going to be excited to try it again

We had a wonderful evening there. The decor is very cozy, the service is simply magical and the Vorsoeisenola latte for two was really tasty. We'll definitely be back.

Caution! Rip off! If you order the lunch menu with a small amount of still water, it is said that it is no longer a menu. The fact that the small change (still water instead of a large soda) makes the dish more expensive by a whole 5 euros is not mentioned - and the full bill is presented at the end. You could calculate the price for all components from the other menu card. I expect something different from service.

Very tasty food in a cozy atmosphere. Different foods than usual. If you like avocados it's a must!!! Very nice service. It wasn't the last time I was here. And anyone who can operate the toilet tap deserves a round of applause. :-)

Exploring Frankfurt we found this place via google search. One of the best breakfasts we have experienced worldwide. The scrambled eggs were amazing with the softest sourdough toast we have experienced. The Korean egg drop sandwich was superb especially adding beef patty to it. The Shakshuka was very flavourful. The portions were perfect and the service was very good. Nikkiter was our waiter and spoke great English and delivered great service.

I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews. Overall we had to wait a very long time, both to place the order and to pay. We would have understood that if the restaurant had been full, but there were a maximum of 4-5 tables occupied. The price-performance ratio isn't right here either. Food wasn't bad, but the portions were sparse. The prices were probably set higher due to the incomprehensible hype. Avo Plate is not a plate, but rather an economical, decorative, small plate. The burger comes without any side dishes. Cutlery was stained, that can happen, but it doesn't have to. What we found most stupid about the whole system was that we could only order the drinks first and then the food. You couldn't record both at the same time. Never seen anything like that, especially since we had to wait a long time before we could even order the drinks. Waiters were friendly, but unfortunately very disorganized. All in all a really very unsatisfactory experience. Very disappointing, a shame.

Ordered food today and had to wait over 3 hours for my food, regardless of when they called and asked where the food was and that it would definitely be cold now, the good man said, well it's getting cold outside anyway. Incredible cheek.

Delicious food with a recommended menu. The staff is very welcoming and responsive :) There is something for every taste and every price point. I would recommend getting a starter or side dishes as the dishes themselves are not large portions. The passion fruit spritzer is particularly good. There's also happy hour if you want to have a drink in a nice environment!

Highly recommended! There are different dishes in the morning, lunch and evening. You can park nearby for a fee. You were greeted and served in a friendly manner. The food came quickly and tasted great. Next door there is another room where you can eat Mexican food. We'll test that next time.

It should be a nice evening with the family. Unfortunately, our mood was very dampened by the overwhelmed service and the food we ordered, which sometimes didn't come. When we asked about an hour later when the vegetarian plate would arrive, we were simply told that the order wasn't in the system and apparently hadn't gone through. An apology or "We're sorry" would have been nice too. But we could order the dish again, which we declined. Unfortunately, the vegetarian burger was so dry that it was hard to eat. There was also no possibility of ordering another sauce or something similar because no one came past our table. After paying, the three of us walked out of the restaurant and only two of us got food. Unfortunately, that's not how I imagine an evening in a restaurant. Very unfortunate.

It was super loud in the restaurant due to conversations and music. The waiter was very rude and he put us in uncomfortable situations several times. The food was OK, but nothing special. A guest who was there with me complained about his very cold burrito, but unfortunately nothing was done. Price-performance is bad.

Was at Avocateur for the first time yesterday - and probably for the last time. But first things first. The facility is pragmatic and simple. The bright colors on the ceiling and walls are quite okay along with the pictures. More comfortable chairs would be desirable. The heat is generated by two “heating air fans on the walls”. Unfortunately, they are set so that it is warm when standing and cold when sitting. The four of us were shivering. The service makes an effort, but at the same time it also has to take care of the guests from the Mexican restaurant next door (two restaurants in one, so to speak) and that means two people aren't enough. Things got scary when we ordered: Five types of beer on the menu: "Sorry, there's only Corona from next door." "White wine? No, that's out too - except for the Pinot Gris." I won't say anything more about it. So then there was Corona or juice. I don't have to go out to eat. The food was delicious but unfortunately the two burgers were only lukewarm. All together far away from what I imagine a nice evening in a restaurant to be. Unfortunately I can't recommend it

Internet-famous avocado-themed restaurant. There are not many choices on the lunch menu. I basically ordered everything. The taste is in line with expectations and you can eat it without being outstanding. The service is very good and the guy is very enthusiastic. It's a great place for friends to get together and have some casual meals.
