Good Italian dishes but quite expensive. We were there for two evenings, on one of the two we waited more than an hour to be served and we witnessed a very colorful scene of jealousy between the cook and the waiter (wife and husband). The open kitchen gave us this show...

Sweet restaurant with a pleasant, cozy atmosphere and a very nice and direct waiter. After the last piece of meat was unfortunately sold, an alternative was suggested and prepared, which was also very tasty. Fresh food is bought and cooked here - a very good sign, which was reflected in the taste. Not exactly cheap, but value for money is right. Gladly again!

Aldo Genvese is one of the best Italian Restaurants offering the most excellent Cousine in Duesseldorf- Pempelfort. The atmosphere in this Calabrian eatery is unbelievable welcoming and the Staff are so very Friendly and quite helpful..

We went for dinner with my gf, but the restaurant was fully booked. The staff directed us to wait for a while and after about 15 minutes of waiting, a table was arranged for us. The food was excellent and the atmosphere and service were also top notch.

The Aldo Genovese is a real treasure in the sometimes snobbish Pempelfort. A real Italian family business. Mom cooks - and enjoys it very much. You can see and taste it. Aldo the patron runs the restaurant like his living room. The atmosphere is always pleasant and you feel like you are eating with friends. In addition to a standard menu with many classics, there is also a daily menu with beautiful variations of Italian cuisine. To put it briefly: everything tastes excellent. The liver in sage butter is a poem. The truffle pasta always works - with or without fillet strips. But, test it yourself. 😊 Finally, an espresso - see photo. An evening at Aldo's is like a short vacation in Italy.

The food was fantastic, the wine was excellent. The waiter was a quaint person, really authentic, but I still find it a bit strange when I am criticized for my choice of seat and have to do what the waiter wants. But that's really just a small thing that hardly detracts from the visit. I'll definitely be back.

Top food and super nice service!

NOT recommended with larger groups! Unfortunately, the kitchen wants to make things very easy for groups and suggests a mixture of starter and pasta for everyone for €35 per person. Starter was okay, although not enough if you handed out the 2 person plates to 3 people. What came as the main course was absolutely bottomless. 8-9! Pasta per person is far too LITTLE! The team responded to our protest by bringing us schnapps, but that doesn't make up for the very meager food and the poor P/L ratio!

The food was simply fantastic! Every bite was a pleasure and we don't know of any other Italian restaurant like it. It felt like we were on vacation, with the perfect service and welcoming ambience. Everything contributed to us having an unforgettable evening. We will definitely be happy to come back!

Small menu from which, following a recommendation, I got a very good mixed starter and excellent pasta. To my delight, I got a very good open wine outside the menu. The Sabbaione is unique. Highly recommended small Italian restaurant with a personal touch.

For me the best Italian in town. The quality is always top. The only downside is the consequence of its success: the restaurant is almost always full, which can sometimes make it noisy.

Please read the 1-3 star recensions, from our point if view they reflect the experience we had im similiar ways. Highly unfriendly Service by the guy with bald head, dirty table, cold food and after ask to warm it, still not hot. Also burned pieces in it. When paying, wrong amount was typed in. Food was not really good although standard and simple. No word of excuse.

Yesterday we had a super fun and culinary evening with a group of 6 people, with this Italian family. Traditional Italian food with fresh ingredients. Such a cool Italian! Inviting from the outside. You sit wonderfully. The center is the refrigerated counter (everything is super fresh)! Real family run Italian. Great atmosphere. Super nice guests and attentive service team. Pasta with scampi & salciccia unusual combination, but tasty, pasta with beef fillet tips - very delicate. Unfortunately liver in butter sage didn't make it into the photo - but it was excellent! And next time we'll try the truffle pasta, either as a black tortellini or with tagliatelle. Pasta al dente.??? I beg you, of course! And for dessert? Panna Cotta (the classic) - a dream, as is the pistachio version and also the mousse au chocolat... It's been a long time since I've had such a good Italian meal... We'll be back and would happily recommend it! grace

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Selbstgemachte Nudel, viele Klassiker auf der Karte, sehr freundliche Bedienung. Im Sommer leider etwas zu warm im Restaurant. Parkplätze sehr schwer zu bekommen. Preise für die Qualität eher gering. Immer gerne wieder.

Der Cocktail den wir bestellt haben war viel zu stark und ich bin nicht so empfindlich wenn’s um Alkohol geht, uns wurden neue versprochen wie ich erst im Nachhinein erfahren habe, haben sie nur nie bekommen. Beim Hauptgang auf den wir 1,5 Stunden gewartet haben, war das lachsfilet in der Mitte nicht mal zur Hälfte durch, leider… die Ravioli waren okey. Ich habe das Restaurant zum ersten Mal für einen besonderen Anlass besucht und hab nichts gutes zu sagen außer das ein junger Kellner alles gegeben hat um unseren Aufenthalt irgendwie erträglich zu gestalten, nur aus diesem Grund gibt es aus Mitleid 2 Sterne. 70€ Hat der Spaß gekostet, Trinkgeld wollten sie nicht annehmen oder haben es nicht verstanden, sehr schade.

Incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable dining experience. We endured an excruciatingly long wait of over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong order when it finally arrived. What made matters worse was the behavior of our waitress. When we expressed our dissatisfaction in English, she proceeded to complain about us to her colleagues in German and Italian (assuming that we would not understand), using offensive language (swear words about different body parts) that we understood, leaving us feeling both stressed and threatened. We were scared that the staff would attack us. As she continued targeting us even when leaving. This combination of exceptionally delayed service and rude behavior from the waitress made our visit to this place an unforgettable, but for all the wrong reasons. Some other details such as opening wine bottles with no wine glasses ready at the table, serving half empty water bottles, bringing antipasti with no cutlery or plates ready at the table, drying wine glasses with hand towels used by all staff in the kitchen, etc. were other points to highlight. Deutsch: Unglaublich frustrierendes und unangenehmes Essenserlebnis. Wir mussten eine unerträglich lange Wartezeit von über einer Stunde auf unser Essen in Kauf nehmen, nur um dann, als es endlich kam, die falsche Bestellung zu erhalten. Was die Sache noch schlimmer machte, war das Verhalten unserer Kellnerin. Als wir unsere Unzufriedenheit auf Englisch zum Ausdruck brachten, beschwerte sie sich bei ihren Kollegen auf Deutsch und Italienisch über uns (in der Annahme, dass wir sie nicht verstehen würden) und benutzte dabei beleidigende Ausdrücke (Schimpfwörter über verschiedene Körperteile), die wir verstanden, so dass wir uns sowohl gestresst als auch bedroht fühlten. Wir hatten Angst, dass das Personal uns angreifen würde. Auch beim Verlassen des Lokals griff sie uns weiter an. Diese Kombination aus außergewöhnlich verspätetem Service und unhöflichem Verhalten der Kellnerin machte unseren Besuch an diesem Ort zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis, allerdings aus den falschen Gründen. Einige andere Details wie das Öffnen von Weinflaschen, ohne dass Weingläser am Tisch bereitstanden, das Servieren halb leerer Wasserflaschen, das Bringen von Antipasti, ohne dass Besteck oder Teller am Tisch bereitstanden, das Abtrocknen von Weingläsern mit Handtüchern, die vom gesamten Personal in der Küche benutzt wurden, usw. waren weitere Punkte, die hervorzuheben sind.

Also die Tagliatelle mit Trüffel sind absolute spitze. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, das Ambiente. Angenehm italienisch. Absolute Empfehlung.

Wie kann ein Restaurant sich immer wieder steigern mit Essen und Qualität wird nicht langweilig. Es ist ein Geschmacksexplosion. Bin wirklich in kurzen Abständen immer wieder gerne bei Aldo Genovese. Empfehlenswert.

Super Laden, top Essen, Gastfreundlichkeit auf hohem Niveau und die Preise absolut human, haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, Geheimtipp in Düsseldorf

Top Essen. Auf jeden Fall die Tageskarte berücksichtigen. Auch individuelle Wünsche sind kein Thema. Wir waren schon öfter da, und kommen sicher wieder!

Alles perfekt. Vom freundlichen Service über den guten Wein bis hin zu den Vorspesenplatten. Perfekter Lachs, gute Portionsgrößen. Jederzeit gern wieder!

Wenn im Winter innen in einem Restaurant (Woll)Decken ausgelegt werden, ist eine „tolle Athmosphäre“ nicht zu verwirklichen; weil einfach zu kalt. Möglicherweise ist man hier beim Gassparen hängengeblieben. An der Aubergine auf der Antipastiplatte machte sich das 1. kulinarische Manko bemerkbar. Zugegeben: Aubergine kann nicht jeder! Ich könnte noch mehr erzählen habe aber gerade keine Lust mehr. Es sollte sich doch jeder sein eigenes Bild machen. Insgesamt zwischen 4+ und 3- . Die Frage, ob ich nochmal hinfahren würde, muss ich leider verneinen.

Es ist für mich absolut unverständlich wieso so hohe Bewertung kommen kann. ich glaube die Menschen haben einfach überhaupt gar keinen Anspruch. Der Service war unterirdisch. ich bin selten von jemandem so unangenehm behandelt worden. Man hat mir Leber serviert die ich nicht bestellt hatte und wollte mir dann einreden dass es Aubergine ist. Aber die Art und Weise wie das passiert ist ist entscheidend. Nicht das was falsches geliefert.

Das Essen ist köstlich! Die Standard-Karte wird täglich durch die Tages-Karte erweitert, wodurch es eine ordentliche Vielfalt gibt. Die Gerichte auf der Tages-Karte sind auch ein wenig günstiger.

Das Essen ist hervorragend. Top Qualität bei der verwendeten Produkte, frischer geht's nicht. Auf der ganzen Welt, habe ich nur zwei mal vergleichbar gut zubereitet essen bekommen. Ich esse gerne Salsica mit Gambas... oder Muscheln aber ich kann auch andere Gerichte empfehlen!!!
