Alaturka Heilbronn – Unfortunately, Not a Convincing Experience I recently ordered something from Alaturka and was able to pick it up after about 20 minutes. The gentleman who prepared my meal was very friendly, which I definitely want to highlight. The shop itself seemed largely tidy, although it could have been a bit cleaner in some places. Unfortunately, the kebab didn't impress me in terms of taste. The meat was quite tasteless, the bun was unspectacular, and the sauce wasn't anything special either – overall, for me, it was a sub-par kebab. The kunefe was tasty, but didn't seem homemade, more like a convenience product. Especially considering the prices, I don't think the value for money here is good. For a dish that doesn't impress in terms of quality and a dessert that probably wasn't freshly made, the price is too high. Overall, it wasn't a worthwhile experience for me—I definitely know of more compelling alternatives in and around Heilbronn.

The Alaturka grill restaurant has been based in Heilbronn since 2010 and when it comes to kebab, my wife and I have only been at this address for years. The flatbread is homemade, the kebab meat comes from a pure beef skewer (chicken is also available as an option) and the vegetables are always nice and fresh. The kebab here is well-balanced and topped off with a delicious sauce. Of course, there are also many other delicious dishes on offer. The owner and his wife are always very friendly and make the visit a wonderful experience. Note: I can only say to the newcomers to the kebab culture that is “underrepresented” in Heilbronn and who think they are bringing the best kebab to Heilbronn: Eat a kebab at Alaturka. Then you would know that we already have the best kebab here! 😉✌️

On my Heilbronn tour I was specifically looking for a kebab shop that sells real kebab, namely meat kebab. Alaturka was then recommended to me. I then ordered a kebab with a few side dishes, just green salad, tomatoes and onions. The flatbread was freshly baked by the boss himself. High-quality home-made meat kebab is a little more expensive than the average kebab, but it's worth it and is no comparison to the standard kebab that you can find everywhere, which are mostly frozen and factory-made. Of course they taste good too, but a homemade meat kebab is a few notches higher. So conclusion: Very tasty kebab with a very nice owner. There is also a huge selection of other Turkish grill dishes and home cooking. Since I'm basically not a test eater, I didn't try any more. Just take a look for yourself and comment below 🙂

Since it was warm that day, all the tables in the other kebab shops in the city center were full. This was the only one with several free tables, so since the reviews here weren't particularly bad we didn't think anything of it. I ordered a soul with chicken I got one with beef although it was also properly repeated. The meat was the worst I've ever eaten in Heilbronn. It was dry and burnt. The soul itself was without tomato sauce and the kebab sauce that came with it was simply bad and was not served separately but simply added to the plate. The price for it, at €15, is simply exorbitant. The kebab costs 9€ and is therefore one of the most expensive in the city. In principle it would still be somewhat affordable if the quality was appropriate, but as it is it is the worst, but at the same time most expensive kebab shop in the city center and you can't afford something like that There are around 6 kebab shops in the surrounding area.

At €9, the kebab is more expensive than others, but also much higher quality. I have already tested many well-known kebabs such as: B. Pamfilya in Berlin (8.5/10), Yaprak Grillhouse in Kornwestheim (7/10), Türkitch in Munich (7/10) and Tonbul in Frankfurt (9.5/10). Alaturka is definitely one of my favorites (9/10). The sliced ​​meat is definitely the highlight here. You can taste the high quality of the meat. It's so good that I would even prefer the kebab plate here over the classic kebab. The staff and the boss are very friendly and always smiling. So if you come from Heilbronn or near Heilbronn, you should definitely try a kebab here.
