Ahoi

On August 13, 2025, my family and I visited the Ahoi restaurant in Kressbronn am Bodensee in Gohren. The Ahoi restaurant is located in the back harbor of the Ultramarin, directly on the shore of Lake Constance (Im Wassersportzentrum 12), in a beautiful setting. Because of the heat and the view, we sat outside under the shady parasols. While we waited for our order, it was exciting to watch the yachts and other watercraft arriving and departing. The friendly welcome continues with regional and seasonal dishes. Here, guests are pampered with heartwarming flavors: fresh ingredients and careful seasoning are noticeable in every bite. We thank Mr. Schattmaier's team for their warm hospitality, attentive service, and lovingly prepared dishes. We warmly recommend this restaurant on the shores of Lake Constance and wish them continued success.

Although there were almost no customers that afternoon, I wasn't served. The waiter was busy at the bar and apparently didn't have the time or inclination. No "hello" or "I'll be right there." Nothing. After several minutes of waiting, I went to the neighboring restaurant, where I was served friendly and promptly.

Well, overall, okay. Nice shop. Not great service. The food, rather poor value for money.

I really have to say, I haven't experienced anything like this in a long time... The service was totally unprofessional: the wrong food was delivered and then they claimed it was wrong on the menu (incidentally, this happened at three tables at the same time); questions or reorders were only accepted after shouting loudly or going to the kitchen. Some of the food was cold, and the steak, which was supposed to be medium, was rare, which didn't change even after being seared again (?). The response to our frank discussion about this was: we don't see it that way at all... Well, if that's how you think you'll retain customers, then I'm really sorry...

Hotel OK, restaurant absolutely not good! Waiter throws broken glasses into the water and thinks he's cool about it, unbelievable! Despite being spoken to, the waiter doesn't think it's a big deal. I, and other guests, were speechless and horrified. This review does not refer to the hotel room, which was fine.

May 2025: Still good. - Update 1: Planning for free Wi-Fi. Now 5 stars. - It's quite cozy here. It's nicer outside on the terrace than inside. Unfortunately, you often have to wait a long time for the waitress to arrive. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. More bread, e.g., for salad or something else, will be delivered free of charge upon request. The restrooms are in the basement and clean. Unfortunately, there are no windows in the restroom area for proper ventilation. Unfortunately, there is no free Wi-Fi.

Vacation is over. Now for the review: The restaurant had a great atmosphere but unfriendly service. The food was not value for money. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Some of the staff were also very friendly, and the adjacent hotel was great, with very friendly people. You feel at home here, I must add at the end: The salad in this restaurant is a complete rip-off. If you write "salad variations," they should actually be variations, and not a bit of green and carrot strips wrapped in cucumber and tomato. That's a disgrace. €7.50 for that.

Quite a nice terrace on the edge of the marina. Service is semi-professional. A small selection – a classic hotel restaurant. The food is average, but completely overpriced. You can find better alternatives just a few meters away.

Arrogant guy 👎🏻 Completely ignored us. Now I'm taking my money somewhere else, Apparently he doesn't need it anymore. No wonder there was no one else there apart from 2 guests; is apparently known for it 😉 The ambience, 200 m back, is also better.

Top location at the marina. Feel free to drink an Aperol there. But we haven't had one as bad as Saturday. Totally watered down... When asked, the waiter said they had the best, everyone else would say. Salad totally oily, spaghetti al olio completely without salt, 1 clove of garlic... Loveless - for us it takes a while until we go back. Too bad

Had breakfast again for a long time today. As always, very tasty, very nice staff and pleasant atmosphere. The view of the marina was also super nice. I can recommend.

A hearty breakfast in the morning before sailing; delicious meals and salads in the evening after sailing, sometimes even steaks from the event grill. The menu is fairly comprehensive.

Guys, forget the old reviews. Nice location at the marina. Great food (we had the 3-course menu), friendly and fast service and the price was right too.

It was fine. 👍😊🍻 If you want to watch the hustle and bustle and also enjoy the sunset, this is the right place for you. Tip. On Sunday evening at 5 p.m. the weekend charterers have to bring the boats back and there is a lot of hustle and bustle.

Went there for breakfast, the price was a bit high, but the quality and the very nice service made up for it all!!! We would be happy to come back Monday there is only breakfast

We ate there twice in June, once with half board and once á la carte. We had different fish dishes twice, both were excellent and the price was also right. I can't understand the negative reviews at all. The service is also top. And the view directly from the marina is simply awesome. Oh yes: the breakfast was also very tasty. The only minor criticism: no fruit salad, but that's complaining at a high level.

Parking spaces are available within walking distance for a fee. Payment possible by card or cash. Staff friendly. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace overlooking the harbor or indoors. Buffet breakfast is also available until 10:30 a.m. for visitors to the nearby campsite.

Beautiful terrace overlooking the marina! Food very tasty and service good! BUT there was NO water for our dog when it was very hot 🐕….. we were very disappointed after we often and enjoyed visiting this restaurant!

Kleine Karte, gut und netter Service

Leider waren wir nicht zufrieden. Das bestellte Steak war zwar auf den Punkt gegart, aber leider sehr zäh und die dazu gereichten Spätzle waren total trocken - über die Hälfte haben wir zurück gehen lassen weil das Steak nicht essbar war. Nach der unsererseits freundlichen Reklamationen heiß es wir dürfen etwas anderes von der Karte aussuchen. Die darauf hin bestellten Spagetti mit Garnelen waren lecker, nur leider wurde dann doch das Steak, anstatt die deutlich günstigeren Garnelen-Spaghetti in Rechnung gestellt. Das war unverschämt, schade.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend bei leckerem Essen auf der Terrasse.

Tolles Essen, sehr nette Bedienung. Gehen immer wieder gerne nach dem Segeln in das Restaurant.

Charmante und verschmitzte Bedienung, die Sie auch bedient, wenn Sie kurz im Hafen mit SUP anlegen. Immer wieder gerne.

Top Hotelanlage liegt direkt am Wasser! Urlaub pur von Anfang an.

Das Essen war alles eigentlich ganz gut, aber leider waren die Spaghetti nur aufgewärmt und nicht frisch gekocht. Schade für die leckeren Garnelen! Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und gepflegt. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam.
