Achtern Diek (Imb.) Hooger Fähre

As in the previous year, we took almost every opportunity to eat here. Whether it was cake or a delicious meal, the food and service never fail to delight us. You always feel welcome there. There's really only one opinion about the prices. Considering the quality and quantity, they're completely justified. We look forward to being pampered there again on our next vacation. The "Imbiss" with its culinary delights and the always friendly and helpful service was one of the reasons for coming to Pellworm. Unfortunately, we have to accept the understandable closure. We thank you for all the wonderful moments and delicacies and wish both of them a happy future.

Sven cooks the most delicious lamb stew I've ever known; every spoonful is a delight! Today I had fresh, crispy fried zander with potato and salad—because they didn't have any lamb—and that was also delicious. Dessert, a Trollebüll ice cream, rounded off the meal. Top-notch dining with Michelin-starred cuisine. We've been guests at Pellworm for years and appreciate the food there. In addition to the à la carte menu, there are daily specials that are highly recommended, including fish, lamb stew, homemade cakes, and much more. You'd hardly suspect that such exquisite delights are conjured up in this kitchen. Prepare to be amazed.

Hello. This is a summer restaurant located right on the dike. They always offer daily specials and, of course, other dishes as well. The chef and owner achieves a truly high quality, thus reaching the level of an upscale restaurant. It's amazing that he presents his "art" in this dike shack. But he probably thinks, "Lever en lütt meister, als een groot Servant." The seating area is unfortunately not so appealing and could be better maintained. There seems to be a lack of helping hands. Like everywhere else. We've been there a few times to eat fresh sea fish. It was always delicious.

At first, I thought it was just an ordinary snack bar. But I was proven wrong! The slightly warmed fish sandwiches were very good, as was the fish with homemade potato salad! The apple punch also tasted very good despite the stormy weather! The service was always very friendly, and we will definitely come back. Best wishes from Upper Bavaria.

Very nice snack atmosphere. But the dishes on offer go far beyond a snack menu. Unfortunately only outdoor dining. The barrier ropes do not invite you to stop.

We took a break on our tour of the island. Thanks to the good weather we sat outside. Staff very friendly. The food was good. Especially the fried potatoes. Card payment not possible. Parking spaces for cars and bicycles available.

We thought it was great. Super nice, courteous staff, whether it was the boys or the lady (think the boss), whether it was the food or the Aperols, we felt very comfortable all around and can definitely recommend it to others.

We were guests at the snack bar at the Hooger ferry and were all extremely satisfied!! The fried herring fillet was the best my husband had eaten so far. The boys with celiac disease chose the gluten-free burger with fries or potato pancakes with applesauce and they tolerated it perfectly - and it was super tasty too!! Great emphasis is placed on regional dishes without additives. Really great!! The service is exceptional, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the ambience directly behind the dike with the sea breeze is unbeatable. We'll definitely be back! 5 stars from us!!

We ate at Achtern Diek several times during our stay this year and were simply thrilled by the phenomenal preparation and the even more phenomenal prices. The menu can be recommended without reservation: Try a burger, the currywurst (what a great sauce), the sour meat or one of the fish dishes... attractive portions, delicious preparation, no frills, simply good and solid. My wife and I don't need anything more. Sitting outside right on the dike when the weather is nice... what more could you want? Thank you for the great time at Achtern Diek, we would love to come back. We cannot understand the bad reviews circulating online at all.

Unfortunately I cannot share these 5 star reviews. We were eating yesterday afternoon and were recommended the lamb stew, which we ordered twice. In my opinion it was more of a vegetable soup and poorly seasoned, with two small pieces of meat in it that had hardly any taste. The three burgers were normal average. The fries were good. The well-maintained sanitary facilities are also positive. The staff was also very friendly.

Very rude greeting because I “dared” to enter the snack bar behind the dike through the wrong entrance that had been given since Corona. There were exactly two other guests on site and yet people made a fuss about there being a sign and you should wait until someone comes and sits down. I am not used to such behavior on Pellworm and will not only recommend people here to avoid this once very beautiful location. Very unfortunate..

Since we only stopped for a drink, we unfortunately can't rate the food. This much can be said: the menu has a great selection of fish, meat and vegetarian and vegan dishes. The operators are really nice and friendly - just like we encounter all over the island!

Very good snack, menu is tailored to people with intolerances or autoimmune diseases. The food is very good, value for money too. Was here today looking for a gluten-free snack. Unfortunately there is no covered seating area e.g. B. with a sun sail that is somewhat protected from the weather. I can only recommend it as a destination. Price performance is also good, good and helpful service if you have any questions about ingredients. I can definitely recommend it

Yesterday, as always when we are on Pellworm, we were in the Achtern Diek. We had the fresh cod that was offered to us. I have to say, it was incredibly tasty. The fish was fresh and juicy, not fried to death in oil or dripping greasy, but an absolute poem. There was also a very tasty potato salad and a fresh side salad. Highly, highly recommended. We also had one or two tea punches, which I can absolutely recommend. A big compliment to the nice couple. Thank you very much 🙏🏻 and keep it up. 👍🏻

Great little cozy snack bar. I was pleased with the delicious vegan offerings, which are otherwise very rare on the island.

If you want some delicious food right in front of, on or behind the dike, this is the place to eat......... They all feel unfriendly too :-) Even after 12 years it's still the hottest snack bar in the world!!!

So, a big thank you again today. Arrived at the snack bar shortly before 4 p.m. (open until 4 p.m.) because all the seats were occupied. We were greeted extremely friendly and we got delicious food. We have felt welcome in this snack bar for years.

I ate there last summer and unfortunately I can't share the many positive experiences. First the good: the atmosphere is really nice. Idyllically located directly on the dike, which of course invites you to take a walk. But I don't have anything more positive to say. Mind you, this is a snack bar. The prices quoted here are more like restaurant standards. And at that price, the food is clearly too expensive. In other words, my meal wasn't worth the price. The fish cake was frozen and the dollop of Danish tartar sauce that came with it was of course from a tube, just like I have in the fridge. The rosemary potatoes were good and the dressing for the small side salad was homemade. The whole thing was arranged very manageably - the quantity was rather sobering. In addition, the service (the owners personally) would like to be a little more friendly.

Sehr gute Auswahl an guten Speisen

Bester Imbiss auf Pellworm 🥰 Wir waren binnen einer Woche zweimal da. Superfreundlicher Service des Pächterehepaares (seit 22 Jahren), immer Zeit für einen Schnack, immer die Ruhe weg und immer sehr sehr lecker! Achtung, Küchenschluss ist 18 Uhr. Bei schlechtem Wetter vorher anrufen. Nächstes Jahr gerne wieder 😊

Zwar war angesichts des sehr guten Wetters im Juni um 14 Uhr der Bär los, und man musste vor dem Imbiss warten bis ein Tisch frei war. Auch das Essen dauerte dann. Also muss man Zeit mitbringen. Man kann auch nur draußen sitzen, keine Innenräume. Aber trotz etwas Hektik blieb der Service ausnehmend freundlich. Die Fischbrötchen waren 1a: der Fisch in warmen, knusprigen, dunklen und wohlschmeckenden Brötchen. So lecker! Auch die Pommes waren so, wie man sie nicht besser machen kann.

Wir waren heute Mittag erst nur geplant um einen im , übrigen sehr guten Kaffee zu trinken... Entschieden uns dann an diesem wunderschönen Fleck der Erde zu verweilen und zu Mittag zu essen. Das Essen war sehr gut, alles super lecker und frisch. Die Bedienung ( glaube die Tochter) war sehr nett, der Koch ebenfalls. Die Insel ist ja ein Traum... Aber die Menschen hier, sind so unfassbar nett.💕 Ohne den Stress und Druck den wir von Zuhause gewohnt sind. Wir werden diese Woche noch einmal mindestens wieder hin... Und wünschen dem Personal und Inhabern allzeit gute Geschäfte, nette Kunden und das allerbeste 💕

Einfach Kult, und das auch nach Jahrzehnten.

Wir waren heute spontan während einer Radtour im Achtern Diek. Man muss kurz auf einen Platz warten, wird dann aber nett an den Tisch gebracht. Die Karte ist schön übersichtlich und es gibt Tagesangebote. Das Essen war total lecker und mit liebe zubereitet. Auf extras ist man total unkompliziert eingegangen. Das Ambiente ist schön, direkt am Deich. Uns hat es sehr gefallen und wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.

Imbiss bei der Holger Fähre Essen schmeckt gut, jedoch etwas zu teuer. Alle Sitzplätze sind draußen. Der Cheeseburger war ganz ok. Käse war leider nicht zerschmolzen. Die Currysoße war lecker. Qualität gut, jedoch Preis etwas zu hoch.

Freundlicher Service! Leckere Speisen! Top Platz hinter dem Deich! Hier fühle ich mich wohl und kehre gerne immer wieder ein 🖐️

Dies ist kein Imbiss, wie man es beim Namen erwarten würde, auch wenn manches auf der Karte durchaus Imbiss-tauglich ist, aber das in einer Qualität, die ihresgleichen sucht. Der Lamm-Burger vom Pellwormer Bio Lamm ist der Wahnsinn und ich habe noch nie so ein leckeres Kabeljaufilet gegessen wie heute. Auch die Tagesgerichte sind stets frisch, meist saisonal und regional und es gibt sogar vegane Varianten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und wenn sie einem etwas empfehlen, tut man gut daran, darauf zu hören! Bester Imbiss Norddeutschlands, vielleicht sogar weiter…

Ein Muss bei jedem Pellworm Besuch

Einfach klasse. Das Personal ist IMMER freundlich, man wird immer mit einer Ruhe umsorgt, egal ob rappelvoll bei schönstem Wetter oder bei strömenden Regen. Schon in den letzten (Corona)Jahren hat uns diese Lokalität durch ihre Empfangskultur überzeugt. Essen ist lecker… besonders empfehlenswert sind die Tagesgerichte. Da wir mehrmals im Jahr - allerdings immer außerhalb der Hauptferienzeiten - auf Pellworm Urlaub machen, können wir uns auf den Imbiss Hooger Fähre verlassen…dort ist geöffnet😃

Wir haben zufälligerweise diesen Imbiss gefunden und wollten es testen. Die Karte bietet sowohl Fleisch- als auch Fischgerichte, es gibt auch Fischbrötchen, Hamburger, Hotdogs, Kindermenüs aller Arten. Unmöglich, nichts Passendes zu finden. Die Bedienung ist herzlich und ihre Empfehlungen sind goldwert. Der Koch, allein in seinem Reich, bietet und garniert mit Leidenschaft und Können alle Gerichte zu und kommt ab und zu aus seiner Küche, um die Gerichte zu servieren und sich zu vergewissern, dass die Gäste zufrieden sind. Ich habe mich als Raupe Nimmersatt durch die Tagesempfehlungen durchprobiert und, wie man schön sagt, ich hatte die Qual der Wahl. Mein Tipp: Tagesfang (wobei der Rest muss auch probiert werden!). Die Bedienung wird euch beraten. Die Auswahl an Getränken ist auch groß aber meine persönliche Empfehlung lautet: DEICHLIMO (Die Holunder- und Kolaversion sind sehr zu empfehlen). Leider (für mich) werden auch Nachtisch, Kaffee und Kuchen angeboten... Da auch, lasst euch von der Bedienung beraten. Eine Freude für die Seele, für den Gaumen und für das Auge. Sehr wichtig: alles wird nach jedem Gast sauber gemacht, Desinfektionsmittel steht am Eingang und die Toiletten sind auch super sauber. Dickes Lob! Fazit: Wer diesen Laden nicht kennt, hat ordentlich etwas verpasst!
