Food was great, rooms and tables were very tight, waiting time was a little longer with advance notice, but everything was still within limits! Price-performance ratio is definitely good, we would come back

The staff was friendly, but the food left a lot to be desired. Mushroom pan with too much spinach and just 4 mushrooms. Moussaka made from ready-made potatoes and chicken breast fillet definitely from the freezer and very cheaply processed. The worst Greek restaurant we have ever eaten at can really be avoided.

We went to Gut Glück on Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. without a reservation and were offered a place without any problems, which was still reserved from 6:15 p.m. We ordered, ate in no time and were ready at 6pm without any stress. The food was delicious and well made. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is just nice and very personable. I can just say thank you.

A Greek restaurant. We think Greek cuisine is okay and decided to try it again. The starter was delicious, goat cheese in filo pastry with honey and sesame seeds, and garlic bread with tzaziki. We thought the portions were quite large. Furthermore, the food is all very basic and the harsh lighting does not make it very cozy. It was mainly production, that's how it felt to us. Nothing to the detriment of the people in the service, it just turned out not to be our place, this restaurant.

haHaha, every time we visit Fanny and her family, we look forward to a fun evening. The family atmosphere and the delicious food leave nothing to be desired. We always have the feeling of being more than guests. Thank you for your hospitality and entertainment. Delicious, friendly, funny, simply recommended. Eating with friends in these turbulent times is the best thing there is. We always love coming home!!

We've been to a lot of Greek places and unfortunately the Acheron was one of the more mediocre experiences. Visually, like most Greeks, absolutely fine. It was quite crowded and therefore incredibly loud. There were 10 of us sitting at a table, so it wasn't a huge table but it was impossible to communicate with the other end because it was so loud. Then we waited forever for our food (1.5 hours), which also means it was overcrowded. Maybe we should just fill a few tables less. The food itself was fine, nothing more, nothing less. So it's not a failure, but it's not a revelation either. ☺️

Nice looking restaurant and was excited to give it a shot. The appetizers were good, but all of the meats in the main dishes were dry and overcooked. We had the calamari and the goat cheese appetizers and the gyro plate and mixed grill. Well seasoned though.

Great food, always freshly and deliciously prepared. Service is great, very friendly. You feel very well looked after and like part of a big family! Absolute recommendation!

Saturday, September 21, 2024 - The fiasco First of all: We are regular customers of the Acheron for the 10th year! We had made a reservation for 6-8 people for 6:30 p.m., outdoor area in the atrium. It worked perfectly, when we entered the boss said that it was busy and that it might take a while to get the food. Actually no problem. So we go to the table, 7. Exuberant atmosphere, our household in tow, wonderful. After about 15 minutes we were able to order drinks, our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed. She came back 10 minutes later with a tray filled with "Smurf water", a nasty blue-green stuff, instead of the usual ouzo. Upon request, I was given an ouzo 5 minutes later (note the chronicle). After another 5 minutes the drinks came (we are now at 35 minutes!). The order was taken at 7:05 p.m. 7 meals (including three dishes with alleged Metaxx sauce), 2 starters (tzatziki with bread). At 7:25 p.m. the salad was served for dinner... However, the cutlery was missing. The waitress only noticed this when we asked if we should eat with our fingers... So we wait for the two starters... and wait... and wait... and... then my wife got up and spoke to a waitress... it was now 7.40 p.m. when the two tzatziki were finally delivered... 35 minutes after ordering and upon request. Then nothing happens for a very long time. No questions asked if we would like any more drinks. No announcement when the food is coming... nothing. The guests change, all the tables around us, which were later reoccupied, received their food. A little surprised, my wife got up again and spoke to the boss. "I'm sorry, food will come soon, I promise" It's now 8:25 p.m., just under 2 hours after arriving! 10 minutes later, at 8:35 p.m., I tell the boss that we are leaving now. It is enough. "No, no, stay seated, food is coming now!" And then the food came... So, the first 4 plates/bowls... 2 meals were incomplete, a fourth was for someone completely different, fries were missing from 2 meals. Then came the other plates... except the one for my wife. She had to wait another 5 minutes. Old Swede, I'm used to a lot... 3 meals were lukewarm when delivered. The fries were missing from three meals. The lukewarm food went back and then arrived with my wife's food. The fries finally arrived too... oversalted and limp. And now about “quality”: The Metaxxas sauce was a tomato cream sauce. No sign of Metaxxas. The fries for the bin. The gyro was completely over-salted and over-seasoned. The potatoes on my mother-in-law's meal were rock hard. The food that was delivered again was partly burnt (Salamander sends its regards, you should be able to deal with that), the fried potatoes fluctuated between normal and over-seasoned, the ouzo was waste. Of course we got to the point. Again I just said “I’m sorry, I’ll bring drinks!” My wife and my mother-in-law took this as an invitation and were each given a wine. The boss then came twice more with a tray of the cheapest ouzo. Then we wanted the bill. We paid in 3 groups: 3 people: 94 euros 1 person: 40 euros 3 people 70 euros So 204 euros for poor quality, over 2 hours of waiting and the owners trying to excuse themselves by saying that it was very full. The question as to why all the tables around us received their food MUCH sooner and whether they might have forgotten about us was not answered. It was also unclear why the wine that was served appeared on the bill. Conclusion: The Acheron is generally considered the best Greek restaurant in Dresden. And we were regulars for almost 10 years. That has now been resolved. No decent restaurateur with honor would have fully charged for this farce! A bottomless impudence! No recommendation, avoid. At the beginning a small welcome note. The food: Very tasty and plentiful. We shared 2 starters between the four of us. The main course still had to be done. Everyone should find something on the menu. Very friendly service. The inner courtyard with the "plant roof" is idyllic, that's what you want for your terrace - we heard it at our table - TRUE. Our little one got an ice cream on the house and the older ones got an ouzo on the house ALL IN ALL A SUCCESSFUL RESTAURANT VISIT

Here we had a delicious meal on a busy street and there was a table for us straight away without a reservation. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. As is the case everywhere, prices are not cheap, but not overpriced either.

Highly recommended Greek restaurant - despite the late evening time, we were served very friendly. There was a small aperitif and afterwards a Uso as a digestive. The lamb chops are recommended. However, you sit on the street which didn't bother us.

Chose this Greek restaurant based on good reviews. Arrived there at 9pm and asked for a table. We were kindly advised that we shouldn't take so much time choosing something from the menu. As requested, we made a quick decision. Drinks came quickly. Salad was OK, but dressing like a ready-made product. The main courses were fine. When we had finished eating and were cleared away, we were asked if we would like another coffee or espresso (around 10:15 p.m....), as the device would be switched off and cleaned immediately. We answered the question in the negative and instead ironically said “I would like the ouzo after dinner”. This also came quickly. And then the bill came... And the ouzo, which is usually free at every Greek restaurant... It was 3.40 euros each on our bill.. We were assumed to have ordered the ouzo. The ouzo, which is free, will only be brought after payment. Tried to clarify on site. Without success. Very unfortunate. Be careful when you agree to an ouzo. Can quickly become expensive.... For a thimble like this 0815.. Addition: ... the answer is an impudence and does not correspond to the truth! This restaurant cannot handle criticism and comments are untrue!!! We didn't get any ouzo at the beginning and didn't feel the need to get drunk. How bold is something like that?! Now it is understandable and comprehensible how the negative recessions come about after a visit to you. You will now be remembered in an incredibly negative way. These are lies! Not recommended!!

For us, Acheron is simply the best Greek restaurant in the city and has now become a regular restaurant for us. The service is always friendly and everything comes to the table quickly and fresh. All the dishes we've tried so far tasted great and there were so many that there was always something left over for home. A visit here is definitely worth it! :)

The Acheron was surprisingly large on the inside too. A cozy courtyard with romantic lighting and good food invites you to stay - which is why we were there two hours longer than originally planned. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the boss was friendly. To top it all off, we got ice cream to go home with because we don't drink schnapps. Absolute top recommendation for Greek in the Neustadt! Yammy!

Food tasted good, there was enough choice. The waiting time after ordering understandably scales with the number of guests, but one drink order was forgotten and another was wrong. Sitting outside is possible in both blazing sun and light rain as there are large umbrellas. However, traffic drives right past you.

A nice restaurant, the terrace is cozy. The staff was super nice and considerate. However, we were totally disappointed by the food; we were here a few years ago and it was very tasty. The over-baked gyro in Metaxa was not good at all. The meat was rubbery and the sauce was watery. No taste. Very unfortunate.

Nice, quaint restaurant with a lot of dedicated staff. You felt comfortable and the food was plentiful and very tasty, especially the starter platter with feta, olives, stuffed grape leaves and tzatziki. The prices are completely reasonable, you only have to dig deep into your pockets for the drinks, but the selection is excellent. All in all a lovely evening

This restaurant, one of the few of its kind, adheres to the credo of expected quality with outstanding service for a reasonable price. In these times it's a luxury that can be recommended to everyone without hesitation, without the shiki-miki pseudo-stuff! We'll come back anytime!

Always been our regular place. Unfortunately the pork steak was raw and I complained about it. The cutlery plate was repurposed and the pig was placed on it. Came back like that after 5 minutes... is it still working? I would have expected a new one. As an apology, a coffee at 9 p.m. 🙈 never again!!!

We are extremely disappointed with our visit to the Acheron. An hour and a half after ordering our main course, the staff noticed from us that they hadn't passed our order on to the kitchen. Instead of humility, they just said, “It can happen sometimes,” and there’s a round of schnapps on the house. The dishes then came one at a time and our feeling of fullness had long since begun due to the starter. The result was a feeling of fullness and half-full plates. We were still allowed to pay for everything. Thanks for nothing. We won't come back and would rather trust what we know.

Extremely rude staff, panic was caused just in time for the end of the workday (even though you had RESERVED at that time), and you were literally forced to finish the food quickly. It should also be mentioned that the older gentleman - also called the waiter - twice failed to remember an order instead of writing it down. That's why we ended up enjoying at least half of our original order. Which wasn't exactly tasty and was prepared carelessly. Have a pleasant weekend and it's best to come by 9 p.m. at the latest to enjoy your food.

A huge menu with really many very interesting options, with all the major intolerances indicated, only small problem for a Mediterranean restaurant, it's not olive oil that's everywhere but cheese, cream and butter to 🙃

Was in Dresden for a week as a tourist. Found this place at some point. After the first visit I was thrilled and went again. I can only recommend the Acheron and would visit it again if I were in Dresden again. Maybe the best Greek restaurant I've encountered so far.

I had a moussaka for a whopping €17.50 and there was iceberg lettuce with two spoonfuls of ready-made sauce. I'm happy to pay 17.50 if it's good. Unfortunately, putting it on the plate was also super sad and the moussaka was strangely orange. Under Tisch was extremely poorly lit and the music was too loud and intrusive. The concept didn't convince me here

Extremely friendly atmosphere. Every single one of the service staff was above average nice and courteous. An incredibly pretty courtyard, lots of tables that were all occupied and yet the food came quickly and of the best quality - we were thrilled. Hard to beat value for money.

I have to say I was extremely disappointed with my visit to this Greek restaurant. It felt more like a mass shipment where personal enjoyment fell by the wayside. A red, sweet sauce over the halloumi was not only inappropriate but downright strange. The salad was dressed with a cocktail sauce, which completely missed the Greek authenticity of the dish. Although the food was generally acceptable, it completely lacked the characteristic quality and sophistication associated with Greek cuisine. Overall, a disappointing experience that doesn't motivate me to visit this restaurant again.

The ambience was very nice. The food was good, but the Giros could have had a little more flavor and, above all, more heat. There is still room for improvement with the fried potatoes. The starter, the feta cheese from the oven, only included 2 smaller pepperoni and 3-4 onion rings. I would have expected a little more here.

We were there for dinner for a company outing. As always, the food was great, after the starters and the main courses you were completely full and satisfied. Beer and ouzo were great. The waitresses were always attentive and quick, despite it being quite busy on a Friday evening. I think everyone was full and happy!

Very tastefully decorated. No annoying tablecloths. Very good service and great quality of the food. Here everything is made in-house, right down to the yoghurt. The prices are more than fair. When we are in Dresden again, we will come back. Of the Greeks we tried in Dresden, this is by far the best.
