Here we had a delicious meal on a busy street and there was a table for us straight away without a reservation. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. As is the case everywhere, prices are not cheap, but not overpriced either.

Very nice restaurant outside the city center, definitely worth a visit. Friendly restaurant with an extensive menu, great taste and absolutely friendly and accommodating. Total tip!

Highly recommended Greek restaurant - despite the late evening time, we were served very friendly. There was a small aperitif and afterwards a Uso as a digestive. The lamb chops are recommended. However, you sit on the street which didn't bother us.

Chose this Greek restaurant based on good reviews. Arrived there at 9pm and asked for a table. We were kindly advised that we shouldn't take so much time choosing something from the menu. As requested, we made a quick decision. Drinks came quickly. Salad was OK, but dressing like a ready-made product. The main courses were fine. When we had finished eating and were cleared away, we were asked if we would like another coffee or espresso (around 10:15 p.m....), as the device would be switched off and cleaned immediately. We answered the question in the negative and instead ironically said “I would like the ouzo after dinner”. This also came quickly. And then the bill came... And the ouzo, which is usually free at every Greek restaurant... It was 3.40 euros each on our bill.. We were assumed to have ordered the ouzo. The ouzo, which is free, will only be brought after payment. Tried to clarify on site. Without success. Very unfortunate. Be careful when you agree to an ouzo. Can quickly become expensive.... For a thimble like this 0815.. Addition: ... the answer is an impudence and does not correspond to the truth! This restaurant cannot handle criticism and comments are untrue!!! We didn't get any ouzo at the beginning and didn't feel the need to get drunk. How bold is something like that?! Now it is understandable and comprehensible how the negative recessions come about after a visit to you. You will now be remembered in an incredibly negative way. These are lies! Not recommended!!

Food was better than I expected after some of my mediocre experiences at previous stops on our trip. Friendly and prompt service. Outside dining was very pleasant. Nice find.

For us, Acheron is simply the best Greek restaurant in the city and has now become a regular restaurant for us. The service is always friendly and everything comes to the table quickly and fresh. All the dishes we've tried so far tasted great and there were so many that there was always something left over for home. A visit here is definitely worth it! :)

The Acheron was surprisingly large on the inside too. A cozy courtyard with romantic lighting and good food invites you to stay - which is why we were there two hours longer than originally planned. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the boss was friendly. To top it all off, we got ice cream to go home with because we don't drink schnapps. Absolute top recommendation for Greek in the Neustadt! Yammy!

Food tasted good, there was enough choice. The waiting time after ordering understandably scales with the number of guests, but one drink order was forgotten and another was wrong. Sitting outside is possible in both blazing sun and light rain as there are large umbrellas. However, traffic drives right past you.

A nice restaurant, the terrace is cozy. The staff was super nice and considerate. However, we were totally disappointed by the food; we were here a few years ago and it was very tasty. The over-baked gyro in Metaxa was not good at all. The meat was rubbery and the sauce was watery. No taste. Very unfortunate.

Nice, quaint restaurant with a lot of dedicated staff. You felt comfortable and the food was plentiful and very tasty, especially the starter platter with feta, olives, stuffed grape leaves and tzatziki. The prices are completely reasonable, you only have to dig deep into your pockets for the drinks, but the selection is excellent. All in all a lovely evening

This restaurant, one of the few of its kind, adheres to the credo of expected quality with outstanding service for a reasonable price. In these times it's a luxury that can be recommended to everyone without hesitation, without the shiki-miki pseudo-stuff! We'll come back anytime!

Always been our regular place. Unfortunately the pork steak was raw and I complained about it. The cutlery plate was repurposed and the pig was placed on it. Came back like that after 5 minutes... is it still working? I would have expected a new one. As an apology, a coffee at 9 p.m. 🙈 never again!!!

We are extremely disappointed with our visit to the Acheron. An hour and a half after ordering our main course, the staff noticed from us that they hadn't passed our order on to the kitchen. Instead of humility, they just said, “It can happen sometimes,” and there’s a round of schnapps on the house. The dishes then came one at a time and our feeling of fullness had long since begun due to the starter. The result was a feeling of fullness and half-full plates. We were still allowed to pay for everything. Thanks for nothing. We won't come back and would rather trust what we know.

Extremely rude staff, panic was caused just in time for the end of the workday (even though you had RESERVED at that time), and you were literally forced to finish the food quickly. It should also be mentioned that the older gentleman - also called the waiter - twice failed to remember an order instead of writing it down. That's why we ended up enjoying at least half of our original order. Which wasn't exactly tasty and was prepared carelessly. Have a pleasant weekend and it's best to come by 9 p.m. at the latest to enjoy your food.

A huge menu with really many very interesting options, with all the major intolerances indicated, only small problem for a Mediterranean restaurant, it's not olive oil that's everywhere but cheese, cream and butter to 🙃

Was in Dresden for a week as a tourist. Found this place at some point. After the first visit I was thrilled and went again. I can only recommend the Acheron and would visit it again if I were in Dresden again. Maybe the best Greek restaurant I've encountered so far.

I had a moussaka for a whopping €17.50 and there was iceberg lettuce with two spoonfuls of ready-made sauce. I'm happy to pay 17.50 if it's good. Unfortunately, putting it on the plate was also super sad and the moussaka was strangely orange. Under Tisch was extremely poorly lit and the music was too loud and intrusive. The concept didn't convince me here

Extremely friendly atmosphere. Every single one of the service staff was above average nice and courteous. An incredibly pretty courtyard, lots of tables that were all occupied and yet the food came quickly and of the best quality - we were thrilled. Hard to beat value for money.

Very tasty, as always 👍. I accidentally ordered the wrong salad and was able to reorder without any problems. I could eat up and down the menu every day, even as a vegetarian. Large selection and freshly prepared. 👍

I have to say I was extremely disappointed with my visit to this Greek restaurant. It felt more like a mass shipment where personal enjoyment fell by the wayside. A red, sweet sauce over the halloumi was not only inappropriate but downright strange. The salad was dressed with a cocktail sauce, which completely missed the Greek authenticity of the dish. Although the food was generally acceptable, it completely lacked the characteristic quality and sophistication associated with Greek cuisine. Overall, a disappointing experience that doesn't motivate me to visit this restaurant again.

The ambience was very nice. The food was good, but the Giros could have had a little more flavor and, above all, more heat. There is still room for improvement with the fried potatoes. We were there for dinner for a company outing. As always, the food was great, after the starters and the main courses you were completely full and satisfied. Beer and ouzo were great. The waitresses were always attentive and quick, despite it being quite busy on a Friday evening. I think everyone was full and happy!

When we are in Dresden again, we will come back. Of the Greeks we tried in Dresden, this is by far the best.

We had the gratinated meat platter, woooow. We had to fight to get the portion. We will be guests there again this evening and are looking forward to it. If you are in Dresden you should stop by there. Although we have to say that here in Dresden Neustadt you can stop off anywhere. When we are in Dresden again, we will definitely stop by there again.

We are positively surprised and impressed by the Greek restaurant Acheron in Dresden Neustadt. Prices and service are consistent and competent, the selection on the menu is wide and typical of the country (some "German" dishes could certainly be dispensed with without any problems). Children are welcome and also feel comfortable. The only point of criticism: When changing from fries to potatoes for a main course, an extra EUR 1.20 was charged without notice. This spoiled the overall impression a little. Conclusion: a good 4.5 star rating.

I can't understand where these almost 5 star reviews come from. OK, there was a shot twice but the rest didn't work at all. Glasses not clean, napkins wrapped around cutlery, the napkin was completely crumpled and looked cute as if it had already been used 'Wine too warm Table stuck I wanted to leave again when I saw the menu... The prices are in the upper range Starters are sweet and tasteless from the fryer, greasy on the outside, raw dough on the inside and cold spinach feta filling. I wasn't charged for it being inedible after I complained. The lukewarm baked potatoes... I'm almost at a loss for words. Rubbery, old and inedible. The lamb chops with grilled meat are brown, almost unseasoned and with old, thawed meat? Taste. the salad was poured with ready-made cocktail sauce.......The liver with fried onions and fries was just sweet and tasteless. We skipped dessert... The restaurant and the food have absolutely nothing to do with Greek or Balkan cuisine together. And unfortunately I couldn't find any Greek atmosphere or warmth in this house either Because I was just passing through Dresden I definitely won't go there again. I'm sorry but absolutely no more than one star - because of the good location - there's nothing more possible

Nice restaurant and very popular on Valentine's Day. The manager of the house is so warm and you can tell that people enjoy working here. The food is really very good, meat as well as the vegetarian starters in warm and cold. We've tried almost everything so far except fish dishes and it was all excellent :) Okay for the price. Wines are also recommended. We will be back!

Stylish, upscale ambience with the cool friendliness of the staff. The boss is very warm and welcomes every guest. The salad is decorated with cheap cocktail sauce and nothing outstanding. We had the Athens plate with garlic potatoes and 2 pieces of chicken breast, 1 piece of pork fillet, 1 piece of beef fillet and a dollop of tzatziki. Pretty dry at the end and few onions, they're probably trying to do justice to the increased sales tax here. Nevertheless, the taste was very good, but it could be improved. The plate was cleared away early by my companion, even though I was still eating, which surprised me a little.

I absolutely can't understand all the top reviews. Ambience very sterile, meat quality like in a supermarket, you sit table to table, it's terribly loud and you wait a good hour for your food. So we know Greek cuisine differently. Service was very nice but it didn't convince us to come back!

The food was absolutely fantastic, so flavourful and yummy. Also the service was friendly and good. The only reason the atmosphere wasn't perfect was that we made a reservation, asking specifically to be seated in the more quiet area and they seated us in a loud room with an annoying child next to us, so we couldn't eat in peace at all.

Ein großartiges Restaurant! Wir waren zu zweit am Freitagabend vor Silvester ohne große Hoffnungen auf der Suche nach einem Tisch in einem griechischen Restaurant. Aufgrund der guten Google-Bewertungen haben wir zuerst im Acheron angerufen – und auch gleich einen Tisch bekommen. Als wir ankamen, war die Bedienung trotz des Trubels sehr freundlich. Wir bekamen einen Tisch im ehemaligen Weinkeller (nehme ich an). Ein tolles Ambiente, das auch mal was anderes ist. Zudem saßen wir damit ziemlich ruhig, was natürlich ein Pluspunkt ist. Das Essen kam zügig – und das, obwohl wir uns angesichts der vielen Gäste schon auf eine gewisse Wartezeit eingestellt hatten. Die Vorspeisen wie auch die Hauptspeisen waren üppig. Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, hätten wir uns wohl eine Vorspeise geteilt und ich hätte auf die kretanischen Kartoffeln als zusätzliche Beilage verzichtet. So musste die Nachspeise dann leider ausfallen, weil wir sonst wohl geplatzt wären. Aber das Essen war auch wirklich sehr lecker. Also bei unserem nächsten Städtetrip nach Dresden werden wir sicherlich noch mal im Acheron einkehren.
