We had a wonderful evening. Despite having a reservation inside, we were allowed to sit outside in the tent and had the option to move if it got cold. Very friendly and attentive service. The food was delicious, although I personally felt the potato pancake was too raw on the inside and too crispy on the outside, which affected the taste. But that's a matter of taste. My companion really enjoyed it. Therefore, 5 stars, with 4 out of 5 for me personally.

If you get a nice smile from the woman at the table across the table while having brunch on a Sunday morning, you shouldn't confuse that with the "ambience" of this simple, bare and, in my opinion, unimaginatively "decorated" inn. So much for the “ambience” ratings of other users here. After an evening yoga class and a lunch that consisted of a small sandwich and two sandwiches, I was a little more hungry than on normal evenings. Nothing on the restaurant's menu really appealed to me, but the "pea soup with pork knuckle meat" for €8.40 gave me the idea of ​​curbing my hunger a little in this corner restaurant without filling my stomach in the evening. I was then informed that there would be Mettwurst instead of pork knuckle meat. I would have expected a Mettwurst in the soup. Instead, after some searching, we discovered 5 mini pieces of sausage in a small soup plate, which in total amounted to a maximum of a fifth of a standard Mettwurst. According to my gastronomic experiences - I eat out in restaurants of various categories about twice a week - the quantities and price of the soup tend towards a "good Italian" with a white tablecloth, cloth napkins, candlelight and a skilful taste composition. Of course, that wasn't the case here at all. When I then asked the waitress where the Mettwurst was and showed her three of the half-fingernail-sized pieces of sausage, she said she would ask. After the soup had almost been spooned out, which admittedly didn't take long given the "portion", another waitress brought me another 10 mini snippets of sausage, along with a rather disrespectful and unpleasantly loud laugh. That didn't save anything. Actually, my mood was already in the basement when she initially pushed my arm aside with the bread basket she had attached, even though more than half of the surface of the bar table where I was "dining" on a stool was completely free. - Never again!

The review is old, but a few days ago I was informed by Google that my review had been flagged for defamation. However, I don't understand where this is supposed to be defamation. Here's my review again: Service was unprofessional and annoyed (when asked about a drink they rolled their eyes and said "I don't know", when paying for my salad they said in an unfriendly tone "which one was that? I just have the prices here"). There was also no invoice/receipt. Outdoor chairs are uncomfortable. Food was ok, but seasoned far too loosely (3 of 4 dishes at the table were boldly re-cooked) It is not possible to pay by card, which is a real disgrace for Düsseldorf. Unfortunately I can't recommend it in general. It wasn't a total disaster but I expect a lot more when I go out to eat.

Wir waren mit Freunden da. Die Vorspeisen-Aioli war mit irgendwas Seltsamen gewürzt (Curry, Kurkuma?) und schmeckte nicht authentisch nach Knoblauch. Der dazu gereichte Schafskäse-Dipp prickelte im Mund (bei allen) und war offensichtlich hinüber. Die Bedienung hat sich bei der Reklamation zwar entschuldigt, aber eine Nachbesserung oder eine kleine "Wiedergutmachung"- Fehlanzeige. Der Caesar-Salat ertrank in viel Sauce und hatte Unmengen an Parmesan. Das war nicht wirklich lecker. Beim Thunfischsteak mit mediterranem Nudelsalat, waren kalte Nudeln mit Pesto dabei. Nudelsalat ist da wirklich was anderes. Die Sauce beim Spanferkelbraten sah nach Tüte aus. Alles in allem: ich würde nicht mehr hingehen. Mir haben die Freunde, die uns eingeladen hatten, leid getan.

I think this restaurant is mainly known for its good breakfast/brunch, but we had dinner there in the evening. We thought it was a really good restaurant with great prices and super friendly staff. We had a very tasty meal there and the alcohol-free cocktails are definitely recommended.

I have never been served so badly in a restaurant. The waitress was super unpleasant and very listless. I ordered a bagel with avocado and feta cheese and got one without feta. The bread was very greasy. I will never come back and discourage everyone from this store. Hands off!

Ein super Frühstücksangebot am Sonntag, für sehr faire Preise bekommt Ihr ein so abwechslungsreiches Angebot, dass wirklich für jeden Gaumen was dabei ist. Längst kein Geheimtipp in Pempelfort mehr. Im Sommer sitzt man recht gemütlich draußen, die Atmosphäre ist unverkrampft draußen wie drinnen.

Wenn ich null Sterne vergeben könnte, dann würde ich das sofort tun! Mein Freund und ich sind noch nie so unhöflich und unfreundlich empfangen worden. Wir wurden gefragt: einen Tisch für zwei?, was ich nicht sofort verstanden habe und ich habe darauf hin gefragt, ob irgendwo ein Tisch frei ist und die Kellnerin Antwortete sowas von schnippisch deswegen hab ich ja gefragt, ob ein Tisch für zwei. Als wir dann saßen, kam die Inhaberin(die ich vom sehen kenne) und hat uns in einem derart unhöflichen Ton mitgeteilt, dass der Tisch um 18:45 reserviert wäre. Da wir erst 16:00 Uhr hatten, habe ich ihr dann genauso unfreundlich entgegengebracht, dass wir nicht vorhatten, 3 Stunden an einem Kaffee zu nuckeln. Ich hatte einen Latte Macchiato bestellt, der zu 90 % nur aus Milchbestand und gerade mal einen halben Espresso abbekommen hat. Ein paar Wochen zuvor waren wir dort zum Essen und ich hatte Bratkartoffeln mit Spiegelei bestellt und die Bratkartoffeln waren völlig verbrannt und der Salat schwamm nur im Dressing. Ich werde diesen Laden definitiv nicht mehr betreten, alleine schon, als ich mitbekommen habe, dass die Mitarbeiter dort sogar unter dem Mindestlohn arbeiten müssen. Eigentlich sollte man so etwas beim Zoll melden.

Das Steak war nicht wie gewünscht zubereitet und der Risotto ließ geschmacklich zu wünschen übrig. Darüber hinaus habe ich den Eindruck gewonnen, dass das Personal nicht besonders kritikfähig ist.

Nicht gemütlich. Service stets in den Nacken, um mehr Getränke zu verkaufen. Bier schmeckt nicht.

Ich gehe gerne ins Ab der Fisch. Man fühlt sich wohl, Preis/Leistung stimmt absolut. Im Service ist man freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich nicht bedrängt.
